Family geocaching while trick or treating ??????? Halloween was lots of fun this year ??????? No luck I think it is missing
Took advantage of the clear skies and sunshine to hit the pavements and explore my new local area.
No luck here today for me, I did see a perfect “landing” for a container as seen in the gallery but no CIH for me today.

Approached GZ, then checked the logs and my hopes weren’t as high
Still nice to go in this lovely walk on Christmas Day with the Geogirlfriend though

With a permit to visit our Father In Law today, he wanted to stretch his legs. Good excuse to find some caches!

Found this cache while out geocaching near the Moss Vale, NSW area. The cache was in good condition unless stated otherwise. Thanks for the cache and the adventure.
Here is a little information about me. I have been geocaching since March 2015. At the time of finding this cache, I have over 8550 finds plus 1120 hides. I am the creator of the “Duck Dip” Lab Cache that won 2nd Place for the Australian Capital Territory in the State Vs State - Battle of the Lab Caches at the OzGeoMuster - The Gong Mega (GC7N7ZC) 2019 in Wollongong, Australia. It was my love of Geocaching that helped me find my lovely Wife. I have dedicated a Geocache to her that explains how Geocaching brought us together. That Cache is The Blueiris of Tidbinbilla by DARKSIDEDAN. | GC80WHA | Australian Capital Territory, Australia.
Currently I have over 10,000 Pathtags in my Collection plus over 500 Etagz. My collection includes over 300 JMC Pathtags and 180 Charlie Harper Pathtags. I love to trade pathtags with people at events or via post within Australia only. I currently have four Personal Pathtags 45762 / 46950 / 47696 / 47987 with another three in the works. Note: I do not trade overseas (Australia Only) so please do not ask. Also I do not log my Pathtags on Pathtags.com to keep what I have in my collection private. If you are selling your Pathtags or want to swap Pathtags send me a message. As a bonus to reading this very long log, please feel free to discover my Virtual Trackable AR6QTT. Yes this is my Personal Virtual Trackable and I give permission for you to discover it. Please feel free to share my Virtual Trackable with every geocacher you know.
I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it.
Geocache Poem
by DARKSIDEDAN
My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind
I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see
Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?
Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
screaming the bloody thing it not there
As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.

***** I am currently writing very detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC called "The Author". This Badge challenges geocachers to write logs with an average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the May 2021 my average is 160 words per log, which seems close to the 200 words per log target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 200 words for a long period of time to get my average up. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After more than 8000 caches (which includes all cache finds up and including today I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task very soon. Progress has been better than anticipated.

**This Cache:**
Coordinates were good for us today and took us to the correct tree from the get-go which proved for a quick and easy find!
**Today:**
A trip to the Southern Highlands today with DSD to clean up some of the more "Park and Grab" style caches, rather than being super focused like I usually am! We also managed to sneak in some of the solved puzzles on my list too which were on my to-do list and happened to be along the routes we were taking!
All up a fairly productive day, with 45 finds over a 5 hour period excluding the driving time to/from Canberra. We had a few DNF's and a LOTTT of Did Not Attempts, unfortunately there seems to be a lot of missing caches around the place.
Thanks to all the CO's!

Found it. The cache was on the ground in plain view. Placed it in a location next to where it was sitting that is consistent with previous finds in the activity log.
This took a lot longer than I am happy to admit! Was looking too low initially, but adjusting the sights up slightly then turned up the cache - but I can see how it would definitely be easy to miss this one.

25° outside. Perfect way to finish the day after working inside all day. Found with geo boyfriend. He’s definitely a natural cacher and keeps finding them all before me. TFTC.
Found on a cool sunny winters day. Nice walk along the path. easy find.
Thanks widge 76 for the hide.
Thanks widge 76 for the hide.
I decided to take a break from driving and to stretch the legs and go for this cache. There were muggles walking, some with dogs, jogging and cycling along the path. Approaching GZ I spent a minute looking at my phone until the coast was clear then I started searching. Lots of potential places and after a few minutes I spotted the hide. Log stamped and all replaced and again I spent a moment until the coast was clear before heading back to the car and continuing on my way. Walked 6km. TFTC.
Coordinates were a bit out, but made the find and signed the log. Dropped a geo coin off as well.
Thunder clouds rolling in and car was a fair distance away. Thought twice about carrying on to this but persisted. Needn't have bothered, as I had no time to fully explore the options despite helpful suggestions from previous finders. The hint itself did not narrow things down at all and I set off back at a decent pace to beat the rain after hunting without success for a few minutes.
pretty simple. from the path LT on the right. hope enjoy working out my clue. TFTC
Looked at all the trees but had to resort to reading previous logs then I spotted it
Find Number 2025 found at 13:21. This was the 7th of 8 finds, together with 2 DNF's today
After visiting our grandson's school for grandparents' day we headed up to Mittagong looking for some caches on the way.
This turned out to be way harder than it shoould have been. I looked all around the obvious area with no luck. I then expanded the search, still with no luck. Back to GZ, , off on a wider search, back to GZ again and there it was! I had looked directly at it at least 3 times before spotting it.
The cache was in good condition. We signed the log (sometimes we sign micro logs with G&T or GT) and replaced the container as found
Thanks widge76 for the cache.

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Found with Gronk and Juno. Perfect day for a walk. Last one for the day. Easy find.
Found with sjg66 on our Highlands caching weekend. Thanks to all the CO's who maintain these caches, we had a great time.
Final find of the day with Keno7. TFTC and the series.. enjoyable stroll soaking up the abnormally warm winters sun!
Another trip up the highway to grab a few more around the Southern Highlands. Rapidlywild joined us for the assault and the fun. The weather was lovely with a nice cool breeze. Not a bad haul for the day, and we were all pretty pleased at the end of the full day. We left a couple just to taunt us to return and continue our journey through this pretty area. Thanks Rapidlywild for another funfilled day.
We didn't have enough time to collect the full walk, so we collected a few on our way past. We'll be back another day to finish this one off, TFTC Muppet95

Plan had been in the pipeline with the FFLL ladies to do another Southern Highlands caching run however we have had to move the date a couple times due to changes of circumstances. Today we finally made our way back up the very familiar highway to get cracking on some more finds. Our main target today were a few Muppet puzzles that had comments on them about upcoming archives so we wanted to get the checked off since we had solved them. Target caches were found and quite a few extra more
We were on our way to get some lunch, but this was just too close to not pick up. We will need to come back with the pushbikes to knock off this trail in the near future. Located cache, signed and replaced.
Thanks for the cache placement widge76 and thanks FFLL ladies for another very fun day trip away

GREAT day and quick find made at GZ. So far, no stacks for the Stumbles but the walk/scoot hasn't ended yet. TFTC!
needing caches for current challenge, mizmaz decided a day out was needed and the southern highlands was our destination.

Chasing Museum clues around the Highlands with kea26 today, finally got around to ticking off the Cherry Tree series. With time at a premium to get as much done in the area for the challenge as possible, ended up driving to closest access points making the series more a trail of PnGs than a walk. With this one, I collected my last "Evidence" clue and can now set about retrieving the jewels.
Having negotiated a 4-day weekend I took the opportunity to head to the highlands for a spot of geocaching. Most of my finds for the day were done on the bike and with such good weather there was no better way to get around.
Was soon knocking these off with quick succession. A great morning for a ride. This one had me searching for a while
Thanks

Did a systematic search of every tree and found it in the last spot I checked!
It was a fine day calling out for a fine walk to pick up some very nice caches. Thanks for the pleasant stroll and extending the Cherry Tree Walk.
I found everything in this series a while ago so I figured it was about time I finally logged them online. TFTC
So many to choose from, must have guessed lucky because we didn’t need to search for too long TFTC
Another great day out with woolwood9 hunting containers.
