Out and about with Aurora11511 on holiday with the fam. Beautifully hidden cache! TFTC CatseyesNZ
Was at a family event at the bay on Sunday and happened to wander past the cache. Unfortunately didnt have a pen, but took a photo of the log as proof of find. TFTC !!
I was visiting a friend for the long weekend, and what a great opportunity to come and collect some of the caches on my list! Thank you to all the COs for the great entertainment!! Lovely spot, TFTC!!
A pleasant walk late on a winters afternoon. The day had been beautiful, but the wind had got up a little and I was pleased to have an extra layer of clothes on.I should have been following my GPSr instead of following StreetWalkerNZ as he was heading in the wrong direction. Headed in the correct direction and got to GZ first, where the cache was a quick find. Looks like it's had a few visitors the last few days. Good to find a Catseye cache in Marlborough. TFTC.
#23807. We were heading back to base, and weren't stopping for many caches. This one looked straightforward, so we parked in the nearest carpark and made the short walk to GZ. I veered off track (heading towards what I thought would be a good hiding place). Should have payed more attention to the GPSr. Troodles got to GZ first and made the find. TFTC.
I am on my way to Auckland with many stops for caching along the way.On the way to GZ, I passed up a lady walking a dog and was worried that she might wonder what I was doing, but the dog slowed her down and I had no issues. TFTC.
Quick find and what a gorgeous location and weather, on our way to picton by bike...thanks
Missed the one at Momorangi but got the cars eye here! Lovely quiet spot today. Tftc
Day off work and Mrs Rubbishparty visiting for a few days so off to Queen Charlotte Drive for some caching. Stopped in Ngkuta for Mr R to have a swim, so Mrs R went to look for a cache. A quick find, thanks for the smiley
What a spectacular start in 2024. We had a wonderful 5 weeks trip around New Zealand South Island - Te-Wai-Pounamu. We saw a lot of fantastic places, met a lot of so friendly, relaxed and helpful people. The nature is gorgeous beautiful for me, I love it During our trip we also found some geocaches and saw very nice places also off the beaten tourist tracks.TFTCcassandra07
We are going out to explore our world. Find new and special places around the world not only where we live. Therefore it was a pleasure to find your cache.thanks to CatseyesNZ for the cache.########################TFTChsErich

After years on our bucket list and three cancellations due to Covid, we are thrilled to finally be here. Following several cruises we flew from Sydney, Australia to Wellington, New Zealand to begin our next adventure. Picked up our rental vehicle and will be driving, exploring, hiking, and caching both islands for 3.5 weeks. We parked and made the short walk towards the cache. The container was soon in hand and we were adding our ink to the log. Spotted some ducks on our walk. Thanks for adding to our adventure today, Nukeworker and Racquetball Girl, Arkansas, USA
Left a couple of small treasures. Nice easy walk for 3 year old to cache. Thank you!
Walking from Picton to Nelson. Used to collect cats eyes as a kid. Had thousands. All returned to a beach. Tftc.
On a beautiful drive on Queen Charlotte with @lostinspace8 glad to say this is find #200 for me! And find #2 for @lost in space. Looking forward to a day full of caching tftc
Another mission. Found on ground almost in open. Replaced as per hint with rock over to secure. Thanks for the placement CatseyeNZ
Found on the ground in open ..replaced in tree fork..after signing thanks cats- eyesnz
found the traps and checked all the trees but despite gps saying 1m could not locate this one.
Nice easy find after a swim at Ngakuta, and continuing to Picton by bike. Tftc.
Out for a ride on the link trail around Queen Charlotte sound after some heavy rain yesterday the trail is covered in sticks and leaves . Also some slips in places and trees across the track which we lifted our bikes over. Took mainly the road back to Picton but it had also some serious slips in places and was down to one lane.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache catseyeNZ

On a 3 week geocaching trip with woolwood9 around the top of the South Island.
Thanks for the reason to visit this location and for the cache.
*Very nice find for us here*
SL **tm/ww NZ**, but may appear as a black smudge on the many wet logs or plastic log strips.
Enjoyed the walk

Its such a gorgeous day to be out and about - especially with hardly anyone else around. This one could have easily been a park and grab but as I wasn't sure I took the short wander along the path instead. TFTC # 15,830
A nice quick find thanks. Good to capture some of these in winter with no campers around!
Found as we cruised from Nelson to Picton. A nice day for cruising it was too.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Quick look on the phone while we were riding the Link Pathway and we found this just along where we stopped for a snack. Great spot, TFTC
What a beautiful place on earth and a really nice spot for a Cache! Thanks for the Cache!:)
This made a good extra reason for a leg stretch as we headed for Picton and the ferry. We had left with lots of time and enjoyed having a break here on the way.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Staying in the Sounds for a week or so, so taking the opportunity to find a few caches that have sprung up since my last visit.

A rainy morning so not as many muggles around yet. No problem finding this one. TFTC
A short getaway to catch up with family on the Mainland and drive some roads not travelled before.
We spent a few of nights in Picton and picked up some caches on the way to Havelock today.
Worth a favorite as it is the better of the two caches in this lovely spot.

Quick drive before getting back on the ferry. Unfortunately the other cache close by was surrounded by families having a picnic. Tftc
Lovely location! We went on a walk along the jetty and took pictures. Barely any muggles so it was very quiet. This was an excellent place to stop and have a picnic.
The Woodbourne Adventure Sports Club had scheduled a walk/run/MTB/geocaching mission to the Link Track based around the newly opened section of the pathway near Wedge Point. Several Club members took the communal transport to partake of their various codes, while I went solo with my main mission to carry out some long outstanding maintenance on a nearby cache which has been disabled for over a year. Of course there were a few new listings in the area that could be snaffled up should the opportunity arise.
I saw this cache and two of its siblings released almost three months ago when I was on a family holiday in Golden Bay. There wasn't much I could do about them from over there and as I thought, the low hanging fruit (including this one) went to the usual suspects. I managed to get a FTF on the one across the water by using my 30th wedding anniversary present from my wife (a Jet ski) and today I will end up getting this, the third and the next one, the fourth in the series.
Parking near the boat trailer park, I walked a couple of hundred metres to GZ. It looked like there may have been a couple of residents in the nearby baches, but the bay was nowhere near as crowded as it was when we had a family picnic here back in February.
The cache was easily found in the first place I looked and now I am logging on-line, I see I'm not the only one from Woodbourne to log this one today.

An afternoon spent walking from Wedge point to Ngakuta Bay and return. Was only a couple of caches for me to find today and this was number 2. After coming of the link track I missed the connecting track on this side of the road - so ended up down in the other end of the bay before doubling back. Very quiet here today so perfect time to hunt out the cache. Found in the first place I looked - nicely tucked away.

A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 19 Murchison to Wellington 16 caches collected. Spent time in the bay killing time while waiting to catch a ferry. Nice walk around to GZ. Thank you for the placement.

We were in Blenheim helping a friend move houses, luckily we got it all done yesterday, especially considering the amount of rain that was falling today. So we made a plan to find just three caches today, the first was a T5 up the top of a pole and there are these two new caches that we can use towards a challenge we are working on. We need to find caches within 21 days of their release to go towards the Fast to Find component of the DGSc,
So rain or no rain we had these newish caches on our radar. The rain had certainly set in, so I was delighted to see the cache in the first place that I looked. GK protected the cats eyes while I signed the log and then I returned it to where I found it.
Thank you for the cache and thank you for the smiley

Got to admit I was not really sure what a catseye was. Now I know. I wondered if I had led a sheltered life as a kid, but no - we certainly had our share of collecting shells amongst other activities, just different ones. Maybe catseyes are not a thing in Akaroa or Christchurch or South Canterbury, or are known by a different name, not sure. Anyway, a quick find here. All quiet on what any other summer would be a nice evening, but just average for this one. TFTC CatseyesNZ.
A nice evening, so I thought a drive along the Queen Charlotte was in order. I decided I would travel far enough to get my self-imposed daily quota of 5, then head back. Still a couple more trips left down this road in the future then, and I will save the walk ones until Jo can come along. Quick finds all of them, thanks to all COs.

Today was supposed to be WASP day but due to the closure of nearby Picton tracks, and the lack of people wanting to head out onto the water the trip was canned on Weds morning fairly late on. I had brought along gear into work, and factored in a couple of 4-day improving options into Q C drive so headed out at lunch and helped myself to a single P T session to achieve my aims. As it was I did the Picton/Havelock/Renwick loop and a great drive it is too.
Stopped off here first and headed down, after doing some exercise for my upcoming test and headed to G Z. I was at 20 metres when I put the phone away and approached a hint item near to the rowing boat. Nothing found and that can't be right and re-checked the phone. Ah, stopped too soon. It's over - there. Yep
Signed in at 2 T F posotion and replaced as found.
