GPS was a fair whack out! But a beautiful winters day meant we enjoyed searching through the scrub! TFTC
Well this turned out to be quite a challenge. Searching around at GZ, struggling in the hot weather, and not finding anything of interest, I resorted to reading some previous logs. A couple of them gave me some little hints, but referred to Hunter's log. Unfortunately, my device only had a few logs, and his was not there. With no phone coverage, I was stonkered. I extended my search, stumbling around for some time before I managed to get a signal, and I was able to read the revised coords. With renewed vigour, I soon had the cache in hand, and the log signed. Thanks Teammoss5. I'm enjoying my time in this park.
Finally a DGS cache with a parking way point and an accurate Terrain rating. I
Normally come fully prepared in Yuffie walking attire to tackle DGS caches. Not today as this cache was a bonus cache for me as I was in this area for a golden oldie. I made the most of what I had with me my socks went over my jeans and the gloves went on. I loved the walk to GZ it was very tranquil with the sound of the wind rustling through the leaves and the smell of eucalyptus through the air.
Following the CO from.Hunter I fairly much walked right upto the cache, that is in top condition. Fav point for location although I was surprised that the cache wasn't ontop of a large boulder.

Usually DGS means Don't Go Searching! for us, but this one was different in that it appeared more reasonable and its proximity to a number of other caches made it worthwhile. It proved to be too! Parked reasonably close by and ventured down to GZ. 5 minutes of searching using Hunter's coords and the good-sized cache was spotted.
A quick survey of our geocaching map quickly revealed a number of caches in the Moondarra area that we are yet to attempt, so we decided that with cool but dry weather on the cards we would head out today to try out luck.
The plan involved quite a bit of walking along the old Moe - Walhalla railway line. We had heard the top end was much clearer than the lower part so we thought we would try it as well as the caches sprinkled round the Moondarra dam. The rail line was good walking with gentle slopes and the finds quite straightforward and in great condition.
We had some difficulty in locating the correct tracks round Moondarra, so ended up doing more walking.
We are both a bit tired tonight, but enjoyed the walk and picnic lunch at the Moondarra dam.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Teammoss5.

Great little walk and a bit of bush bashing to get to this one. The posted coordinates had us 20m away. If it wasn't for reading the log and seeing Hunters coordinates, we would have found this one. Great cache. Thanks

It seems like ages since I went caching, in and out of lockdown's and having none in My km radius it seemed like forever, Its hard getting out the house these days with Covid and PTSD I found it hard to get out, I searched the map for an area not to far that was out of the way and My chances of encountering any others was low and it turned out that way when I headed out here, it was good to get out in the bush and out of the hustle and bustle of Warragul, I really enjoyed My time exploring this area as I had never been here before.
This is one of the caches I found today. This looked like it was going to be easy on the Map then I came across the green gate, ok no problem in I walked and then the fun began the listed coordinates had Me at a location that I searched but no luck I widened the search but no joy, I contacted the CO and narrowed down what I was looking for, I then used Hunters coordinates, they got Me within 7m of where I could see the cache, once at GZ it was indicating the listed co-ordinates were 35m away, the gps sure does bounce around here but I got there in the end just as the skies opened up and the rain came down.
Thanks Teammoss5 for the cache.

Took a little bit of searching in the scrub for this one! Thankfully the logs provided some clues that we needed to expand our search radius and I had my eyes on it shortly after. Not to climb back up that hill! TFTC
As a Dirtbag calls me "I'm a Dirtbag fan or wannabe". What I usually reply to that Dirtbag is "I've found more Dirtbag caches than you". But maybe he is right because I've had this one on my radar to do for a while.
So today with the sun now up, this was the first one targeted. I didn't know what I was getting into, so didn't want to try in the dark. Glad a parking location was mentioned and I used that location to walk to all the caches in this area.
This was a lovely area, and I enjoyed myself finding this one, even if it took a lot of searching. I ended up finding it 22 meters away according to my GSPr at S38 5.881 E146 23.243. Not sure if it was my device or not however.
Thanks for the cache Team Moss 5

That was probably an hour of intense walking up and down that hill. I’m glad to report the cache was very dry and safe in its place, even after the recent storms and extreme flooding.

This looked like fun, an easy downhill walk, the cache somewhere further downhill... that was until we couldn't find it! Oh my legs! Eventually spotted it! Mission accomplished. Time for a late lunch. TFTC
Bit further down in the bush then the phone was telling me, but found it in the end. About 15m out
Nice walk down the track then some easy bushbashing. Pays to cast about widely as I was standing at the cache and my GPS said I was 63m away! Cache in fantastic condition. Travel bug retrieved.
With restrictions eased and no new cases in Victoria. It's time to open my caches back up.
Until further notice. This cache is being disabled due to the current pandemic until things are clear they will stay this way. #stayinside
Found 20m out and more downhill than where gz said 0 on compass. Was a great little walk and Genghicat and I did only check out the obvious type of hides so is pretty logical. We really did need to get outside aftrr fixing uo my new home all weekend. Cache was found in good condition. A late log.Tftc
Did a lot of circles around the gz but no luck . Found the obvious hiding spot . Maybe next time
Finally a nice day for a walk headed out to finally grab this dirt bag cache, what a nice walk so peaceful and relaxing out here. Little bit of bush bashing and the cache was soon found signed and replaced TFTC

After missing out on the FTF at a nearby cache l figured that l should walk down here for this one, and then down there, walked around in circles for a bit until the prize revealed itself. for some reason l felt like l was being watched here ??? Oh crap hands up who did that !!! anyway I signed and replaced as found, cache is in good nic...TFTC jess
It's a lovely place up here used to come for bbqs all the time so parked and walked down to gz it was a lovely walk cache found and signed tftc, very peaceful up here today
Before I went for Arvo run today I thought to see if any new caches in the area. More than pleased to see one in my backyard so to speak. So parked nearby and went for an 8 km run on the nearby tracks.
Nice cool down walk to gz, found and signed (10th Mar, oops), avoided critters, then back home.
I've never wasted time to be ftf but it was cool being the 2nd. Maybe when I'm retired I could have more time.
Anyway, dropped an astronaut and fled with a bloodied eyeball. Tftc.

After knocking off work I decided to come out for a drive and have a look for this cache.
The weather was very still and very warm, 35.5° Humidty 18%.
As I walk to the cache, the bone dry undergrowth just crackled under my feet.
This is one place I would not want to be when & if there was a bushfire in the area.
I soon reached GZ and I soon spotted the cache.
I opened the cache, it wasn't long before someone started talking bullshit with a forked tongue.
It didnt take me long to sign the log, A vote was taken and eyes had it in the bag.
As I was returning the logbook to the cache, I noticed that the CO.'s mother had already added her name to the logbook, before it was placed I would say.
