Our night caching with Larafolk. TFTC Great puzzle series

Out caching as we've come up to Mildura for the weekend with JonesCrew. The puzzles were all enjoyable solves, some trickier than others, but very well thought out and enabled JonesCrew to learn new skills as they haven't solved puzzles before. We went out caching at night while it was cooler. Not sure we're going to get all in the series done as they are all over the place and not all are park and grab close to the road. Hopefully when we come back next year they are still available. Nice quick one here. Tftc.

Taking a few days off work so I can get away to Mildura for a long weekend. My first time in Mildura so lots of geocaches to tackle to keep me entertained. Perfect conditions to be outside and geocaching. I managed to solve all of the puzzles in this series in the months leading up to my visit. A good variety of puzzles to test the gray matter. I found all of the caches over 3 days. A good mix of hides and terrain. My 2WD car was really put to the test. For the last 6 of the series found, I didnt trust my car so ended up doing them on foot. I really need to get myself a 4WD car. All found and no DNFs. A couple had cracked lids but all containers were found without problems. A week away geocaching in Mildura with Bogonghazy, Sorceysal and Geo dog. Thanks to sorceysal for solving the majority of these puzzles. A windy day and a bit soggy underfoot, we managed to tick off most of this series. Thankyou to TheMoules for this great series

Up to Mildura for a week with Littleboss2, Sorceysal and Geo the puppy. We'd solved a few puzzles between us, (Ss about 97% of them) and this was the week to grab as many as we could, as well as the multiple labs, multis and trads, and really enjoy this stunning area. After a wild night, we really felt the heat and humidity that happens post rain, but it's all a part of what Australia's diverse zones bring on board. Plenty of sharp bindis added to the fun. Is that what gaiters are for? Our thanks to TheMoules for this amazing series

Last turtle find before lunchTFTC

It was time to tackle the Turtle Series. Solving the puzzles began some time ago, but was done in earnest during the first of the long Covid lockdowns while supervising our eldest grandson while he was involved in remote learning. A great way to keep us occupied, but also stopping us from hovering over him while he did his work.We had envisaged doing much of the trails on bike but decided the night before to abandon that idea and do the caches with a mixture of car travel and walking. Turned out to be a wise decision as with soft and spongy trails and a myriad of thorns, burrs and bindis we think we would have been in trouble. It meant a lot of walking, but then that is supposed to be good for us!The hides were straightforward with in most case few options which was appreciated. Only one DNF. We also picked up a few other caches en route, a couple good field puzzles and containers.Thank you for a great series well executed.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache TheMoules.**SKI Pair****

Went turtle hunting with goingplaces2 and found a selection that were reasonably accessible. All logs were signed and replaced to await the next turtle hunter. TFTC.

While we were in the Mildura area with ilook4geo, we thought we might pick up a few turtles to take home as pets. But then we thought,"no, we should leave them in their natural environment." So all were replaced as found to continue the caching game. Thanks go to TheMoules for hiding all these turtles for a fun time.

The plan today was to finish the series, the main attraction for our trip to Mildura. Weve had an absolute ball finding these caches after spending lockdown solving the puzzles.We drove to the majority of caches and my RAV4 handled the narrow tracks well. We also walked to quite a few others.Great puzzles, great locations, and great hides. Thank you so much TheMoules for this wonderful series.

Making the most of the opportunity to duck out for a few caches while on a work trip to the area. Seeking out the occasional challenge or two, or trying to mop up any solves that I might have from puzzle group or even some from lockdown days of old.

This is a really interesting place. A lake teeming with birds and life on one side and nothing on the other lake. But the river is awesome. Appreciate the work and effort that has gone into this series.

Found while on a fabulous weekend away to Mildura to complete the Paddlesteamer, Turtle and various trads, multis + gadget caches. The Canberra crew included Nibletricecakes, joolay, kittykatch, youban, dty73, tankengine, & albida33. We signed as Mildura May Adventures 23 (MMA23). Unless otherwise mentioned, all caches were quickly found. TFTC.

Today was our second day adventuring together in the district. Out to tackle the Paddlesteamer and as many other amazing caches as we can with a lovely bunch of Canberra friends! Always fantastic to be able to get away for a long weekend of caching together. Loved the red dust and the crazy caching trails. Thanks for all the hard work from COs make and maintain these caches. Southern Autumn adventure Day 54. Mildura Paddle Steamer Trip Day 3. After a huge day, the MAA team (Mildura Autumn Attack and we consisted of Nibletricecakes, Gliss!, Joolay, Kitty Katch, Barb2e, Tankengine, dty73, Youban and Albida33) headed back to the Paddle Steamer to finish the last bit. It did not take too long, and the whole series has been a joy of accurate and present caches. The next goal was the various Gadget caches rear Red Cliffs and then by the Gliding field. The day was completed with an all out effort to get to all the Turtle caches. Plenty of drive bys, but a few fun walks on muddy flats. This was another great series. A few of us gathered for take away dinner and retired for what rest could be achieved before tomorrows activities.

We are in Mildura for a few days to look for the Turtle series and the Paddlesteamer series. Apologies for some generic logs. In most cases the the coordinates were accurate and the searches were straightforward. This was an easy find. Thanks to 4Moule for the puzzle and cache.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure, yes I know we have wandered over the border or maybe two. Never mind, It is a wonderful day just perfect for geocaching so we are off to look for turtles. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

Travelling with SpidermonkeysMum and CPwanderer for the weekend. Our goal being the tri-state events and whatever caches we can also find along the way.
This was one of the caches that we found on our journey.

Day 2 found us checking out of our accommodation (after greeting some of our fellow geocachers who were also guests) and heading to the Morning After breakfast event. After a delicious and value for money breakfast we vacated our seats for the next round of attendees.

Our aim for the day was to complete the nearby Adventure Labs and whatever other caches caught our eye before heading home to SA.

Big weekend on the road! Overnighted in mega town (Murray bridge) after chasing some large caches for a challenge I have been working on for many years. Also made it to 4000 cache finds

Picked up CPWanderer and gizmos gang bright and early to get to Berri fir Brekky, Wentworth for lunch and back to Mildura for dinner. Then another Brekky and a cito the following day. Well that’s the plan anyway.

We are picking up whatever caches we can on the way, over 300 to chose from the CP hasn’t found and probably the odd one he has (that doesn’t include the PS series) which will have to wait to return for.

28,469. Found with minniek while visiting the region for the Tri-State Community Events/International Geocaching Day weekend.

When minniek and I heard about the huge 8 event weekend (4 Community Celebration Events, 3 'normal' events and 1 CITO) to be held in Berri/Wentworth/Mildura/Euston celebrating International Geocaching Day, we knew that we wanted to be there. An early departure from Goulburn on Friday morning, and we arrived in Berri in time for the first of the events. After a night camping we headed out to the first couple of events for the day, and then went on for a few specific caches. We targeted the Turtle series as we have lots of them still to find and they were fun puzzles. We found this series to be very well set up and in interesting locations, and great containers. A quick find here at GZ. Stamped the logbook, replaced the cache as found and we continued on to the next one.

fity_1965 and I decided to head away for an extra long weekend so that we could attend the Tri-State Community Celebration Events along with the other events that have popped up.

A fantastic time was had and a nice number of caches found. Thanks to all the CO's for holding the events and/or placing the caches.

After a get nights sleep at Marty's Bend costing us only $5, we were up early for a busy International Geocaching day. We started off with a few caches around Martin's Bend before heading off for the first event: a breakfast in Berri Central. After breakfast we teamed up with the Kelly Gang to find a couple of caches on the Vic/SA border, then continued on to Wentworth. Arrived a little after start time. Was nice to relax and sit by the Darling River and chat to everyone. We have stayed at the nearby caravan park so it will be nice to see what it looks like after the renovations. We left not long after the end of the event to do some serious caching before the third CCE for the day in Mildura. The turtle series is providing us with a nice variety of caches whilst in the area this weekend.

It was wonderful to see cachers we hadn't seen for a while and to meet several new ones. There ended up being cachers from SA, Vic, NSW, Tas & QLD! Amazing!

At last. I have had the turtles burning a hole in the GPS for ages. Now, I flipped over like a turtle and found this one. There will be more.

This was found on part of an 8 EVENT MADNESS in 3 state trip with four-fun. We cached, we kept hydrated, labbed, swagged and we paddled. Most of all we met lots of people an made new friends.

#18533. Robmc and I have arrived near Merbein to make a start on the PaddleSteamer and Turtle Series. A beautiful sunny but cool day to get on the bikes and load the doggies into their trailer and start with the Turtle. We covered approximately 22km (mostly after lunch) after a short morning ride along some river tracks and got back at about 4.30pm. With another cold night coming up it should be another enjoyable bike day tomorrow. Some cute containers noted on our journey today.

Spending a few days in Mildura, joined by the rest of the Goldy clan for a family getaway.

We've been coming here since our first visit in 2008, it's a Goldy family favourite so I'm excited for the opportunity to find a few geocaches here and in some of the surrounding towns.

I'm also looking forward to experiencing some different hides in another state, as all my finds so far have been in South Australia.

I won't be able to get to all the caches due to having other plans with family, family always comes first.

So a high majority of caches on the "to be found" list are ones where I can learn local history and ones that are relatively quick and easy.

I've been primarily eyeing off the turtle series geoart and adventure labs.

I solved the puzzles that I could back in February in preparation for the trip.

This series helped introduce me to some new puzzles which is good experience for future hides.

All turtle caches (that I found) are in good condition with no issues.

Day 7 of the long road trip from Western Australia to Townsville, Queensland.

Caching today was in Mildura mainly doing the Turtle Series and one of the Adventure Labs. Unfortunately half the final ground zeros somehow dissappeared from the GPS so had to rely on the tablet to work out where to find the Turtles. It made the day long and a case of backtracking a few times when it was found some caches had been missed.

Wasted some time here until the problem with the GPS was identified.

This cache found without problems. Log signed and the cache returned as it was found.

Having just finished the PS series we have made a start on the Turtle geo art combined with some local produce shopping. All hides today were found quickly due to the spot on co-ordinates, well done CO.

Day 24 of our southern trip. Second day of the PS Series and commencing the Turtles. We are Team 4 4 QLD - RoddyC, hatzofff, Snickersallan and Grannysmith1947.

Had some fun with the puzzles, but not ha;f as much as with the caches. We were limited to a 2WD today instead of the usual 4WD which was in being serviced. Some of the tracks were very venturesome, so we> will return tomorrow with the 4WD to finish the series off.

#12992 - 8:03:00 AM; Day 4 of the Wang Mega tour with Sol de lune. Made it to Mildura last night and after a good feed and a good night's sleep, "The Turtle Series". An early start and we were soon in position to begin the hunt. Parked the geomobuile and set off knocking over some smaller sections and some larger sections as we moved through the various locations. Completed most of the mission today on foot as we weren't in 4WD mode and much of the area was out of bounds to vehicles in any event. A well constructed and planned series worthy of a favourite point! Back tomorrow to try for the remainder! TFTC 4Moule

After a couple of great days in and around Wang at the Mega, followed by a drive to Echuca, LuckyL10n and I were now in Mildura. LL has some business to attend to, however with time before and after meetings we set on the path of the 'Turtle'.

Not knowing the area that well, we took a few wrong turns, however once in the right spots, we parked at some caches and walked for quite a few of them. All the locations we walked were interesting to see and the good news was that all the caches were found. We completed 40 of them today, leaving us another walk for 9 tomorrow, and then #50 to finish off. That was fun itself, but is also a log for tomorrow.

Many thanks for the series 4moule. All the decorated containers were appreciated and shows a commitment to the series. A favourite point for each and everyone.

Another quick traffic stop as we headed home. We didn’t plan on this one but thought ‘what the heck’ but by this time we were both pretty busting so very grateful to the ampules for placing this series in easy to find/grad locations. We swapped some swag and signed the log. TFTC!

What a fab day of caching in the by 4WD, MTB and on foot! Took some nice pics. Soaked up the fresh air and got a healthy dose of exercise. Only got a bit muddy today but rounded out the day at the carwash

The primary targets were the which were solved over a few sessions on the couch. Fun puzzles and nearly all solved solo. A couple of the trickier ones required a CO nudge. Really good coords and consistent hides and some scenic locations. I decided to allocate points to my favourite puzzles rather than GZ.

Started to solve this puzzle then realised I could fudge the coords... JetSki!

In Mildura for a few days with Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet, Happy Pants and The Empire.
After finishing off the GOT series it was time for Me to do the turtle series, it was a little challenging getting to some locations but I managed to get them all done.

The highlight for the day were the fantastic gadget caches in the area.

Had the puzzles solved for a while now with a bit of an early nudge from CO for a couple, thanks. Today we had the opportunity to get out and sign the logs on our transit to Adelaide.

All the caches attempted today were found, assisted by good accurate coords. All were in good condition even down to the nicely sharpened pencils. Generally great hiding spots.

In Mildura as part of a larger group of caching family and friends to tackle a couple of series in and around town, today we focused on the Turtle Series and also made the most of seeing some new sights and grab a bag load of smilies. Never really had much of a chance or reason to have a look around Lake Hawthorn besides driving past it so it was good to have a chance to explore this beaut area a little more closely. Had some great weather for us to enjoy our visit and also had some laughs and fun as we made our way around the area, this hide was soon found after a short search, as they say many hands make light work. Thanks 4Moule for the puzzle and the hide.

This was a great opportunity to get away with some caching friends in Mildura. The plan was to hit some of the local trails and geo art. There was many other hides discovered, with some really great containers and hides in the area.

Today's target was this cool Turtle Series - we were able to find all of the caches and had a few laughs along the way. Driving along the edge of the lake was a highlight - I was able to drop off some stickers and pathtags in some of the caches. Thanks for the cache, and the cool series 4Moule.

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA.
With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA.

The group grew from two to six rather quickly after having a chat to GoodLook about our plans.

Our power team “The Mob” consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers and ourselves. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book.

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.

We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.

Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.

First day out and about in Mildura, remember solving this one. The hides on this series are getting more and more difficult to get to especially since the day was heating up and the flies were intensifying. Ahh yep this one was a nice easy solve that came to me quite quickly thankfully.

I acknowledge the hard work that went into creating this series including the puzzles, and sincerely thank the CO.

Overall, our group found the hides a little disjointed (locations wise), and difficult to access, yet the containers were great and the series is certainly well maintained. It was quite hot when we tackled this series, and navigating some of the hides were challenging (working out where to park the cars and where to walk/ what 4WD tracks we could access etc). I enjoyed solving the puzzles, so it was great turning the green dots into yellow smiley faces.

2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip was spontaneously planned and I was able to pull together a number of my caching friends who hadn't cached together before to form "The Mob".

LíB and I started in SA, drove to Victoria and ended our trip in SA; FurfacesLL and Rapidlywild came from Canberra and The Drovers began their journey from NSW; and then a few days later, feathertop from Victoria, joined us to complete the On Your Bike Series and other caches in SA.

We filled our days with piling in cars, hard core caching, Adventure Labs, crazy funny CB radio chatter, some laughter, some tense moments (OMG some of the ladder and tree climbs on this trip were crazy!), lots of lovely meals and even live music from a band called "Kung Fu Jesus" - nope, that is no joke.

We had hot weather each day (well into 30s), so I am thrilled that I now own a car fridge to keep the drinks icy cold (loving them at about 1 degree).

This cache was found during a week long geo vacation, spaning Victoria and South Australia, with the company of several awesome geocaching teams

All logs were stamped/signed as The Mob. For the Mildura leg of this geo vacation "The Mob" consisted of GoodLook, The Drovers, FurfacesLL & Rapidlywild.

The day was warm and the flies annoying as we walked the dry and dusty trails.
All containers and logs were found in good condition.

A plan was hatched a few weeks ago to head to Mildura,
to complete the Turtle series and the PS series.
We stamped each log as 'The Mob' to save space and time.
'The Mob' this time was made up of GoodLook, LíB, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild,
and ourselves.

Due to lack of local knowledge, we ended up doing a lot of walking.
Some of the tracks were a little rough, but we were grateful they were dry.

Found on a fine Autumn day for a country drive.
On a visit to Mildura for a PS adventure.
Today was a start on the Turtle series and a few others in town.
Mostly good accurate co-ordinates on these too.

Found today with hevwalker and Trigger_Fish during our adventures to find all the turtle series today. Back in the Covid 2020 hevwalker and I worked together over what is our now regular Friday night video catchups doing the puzzles on this and the Paddle Steamer series. ..... thanks for the cache, love this series.
