I did all the work in getting the numbers and taking us to GZ and Aramil just finds the cache straight away. TFTC
I decided after the CITO today I'd make good use of the weather today and pick up some caches in the area. The collection of the information went very smoothly, as did finding the cache. It was nice to be brought to a quieter area of this park as the rest of it was very overwhelmingly busy with children. All was returned as found, thank you Flintstone's for the cache.
Solved this one 6 months ago, but unable to retrieve on the day because there were just too many people around.Nice quiet morning today allowed us to try again, although we did have to wait for a group of frisbee golfers to move along before we could retrieve the cache.Log is slightly damp but still very functional, but we have added a new plastic bag to try to assist.TFTC!
Wanting to tick off a multi for todays date, noted this one was fairly close to our hotel during the GeoBash Mega so after checking out, headed off to collect the required information and walk over to GZ through a lovely park, full of muggles on a foggy Canberra morning.
In Canberra for the Capital GeoBash Mega event. Flintstone's, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
Stay at Canberra for Mega and Beautiful places can be found everywhere. As long as I enjoy myself, I don't care what the weather is like. Here's one to find today.Thank you for placing the cache Flintstone's.
During Mega Event, enjoyed multi , and nice walked to GZ, easy spot as no trouble.. TFTM
After finding the first version I decided to tackle the multi. Gathered the required info pretty quickly then took a wander past several disc golfers having fun in the area. I first went to the wrong tree and thought the cache had been muggled, but then I investigated the next one and was rewarded with the find. TFTC.
Found It!Collected the numbers and then off to the final location for a quick find. A few frisbee golfers out today to watch out for.TFTC
Nice set of clues, avoided disc golfers, found the cache easily, as some of the camouflage had moved. Returned to it's spot with lots more camouflage. TFTC
Quick find on a morning walk. Feels like I haven't found a multi in ages, so it was good to get one. Nice and simple too. Great park. TFTC!!! #2182
A quick solve on my walk around the park this afternoon. It is very quiet here today, so it was easy to look for the cache. It was found quickly and the log signed FHoTL.

Chook has been in Canberra this week, up from western Vic. This morning she had the opportunity to attend a nearby CITO, after which she enjoyed a stroll around this beautiful park. A nice straightforward multi and all is good at GZ. TFTC Flintstones.
I have time on my hands this morning. Mrs Mister JD is at CISAC for her daughter's swimming carnival. The puppies and I are going for a walk. This is a great park. It's a beautiful morning, not too many people, and a beautiful spot. I'm here principally for the walk, but there is this cache, a lab cache and a few traditionals to find. I was muggled off the traditionals, but the dogs and I enjoyed the walk after this one and the lab cache. Thanks, Flintstones.
Not too hard once we figured out the coordinates. Was expecting a smaller geocache though!
What a difference a '+1' makes. We missed that on our attempt last year, and searched the wrong place. Returned today and made a quick find. Cache and log are okay. Nice to change to . TFTC Flintstone's.
Lovely winter day for a frisbee with the visiting QueenofThorns and a couple of the geokiddies.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Out with iamsum1gr8 and geokids for a frizbee and playground adventure. Thanks for a nice multi
I was right nearby this afternoon because AngelG27 was hosting the Pi Day event. After the event, which for me concluded with a chat with the CO of this cache, I wandered over and found the values for A to D. Despite the informative text at WP1, sundials are still a mystery to me.
At GZ I checked the wrong location first. The second location was the right one. I signed the log and made sure to cover the cache well before leaving the scene.

Lovely walk around Lake Ginninderra today, exploring and finding caches along the way. Can relate to the name of this cache well. After finding the first one, had to complete both in the series. Interesting information here in a lovely park. Once we worked out where GZ was, it was a quick find there. TFTC
TFTC. New ziplock bag is desperately needed if the next cacher could bring one.
A fun little golden hour multi featuring a very nice gnomon (a new word for our lexicon!). Very few muggles around today thankfully, so we could cache undisturbed
We will return for the sibling cache to this hide another day when more tools are on hand…

Out today to do the whole of section 4 of the CCT. Started off well and was collecting a lot of caches. However, I did get a bit carried away and before you know it is 8pm. Had to quickly ride home to be in time for dinner. I did have a really good time though and picked up 20 caches on the way and rode over 55km. Good day. TFTC!
Quickly picked up all the info and soon rode over to GZ where the cache was quickly located. TFTC!

We see this one sitting on the map every time we head to the shops so we decided to try and turn the box into a smiley today.
Cache was found out in the open so we replaced it where it the hint told us.
Thanks for the multi and hide Flintstones

Enjoyed the puzzle. Reached the final coordinates. Spent 1 hour trying to find it but unable to do so. Even my partner gave up. Maybe it's gone missing again.
Needed a multi for the today's challenge so I was off early to this one. No issue at all, no-one around at this time of day either, and I was soon at GZ. Great to see the cache is going well in this area. Log was signed, cache replaced and covered and I was son heading back to the car.
Thanks Flintstones.....good to visit the area again.

This was an enjoyable multi. We knew the meaning of "gnomen" because there is a large outcrop near home called Mt Gnomen. Data collection was straightforward. Armed with the final coordinates, we headed off and accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. Apart from a torn plastic bag, the cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Flintstones for an enformative and enjoyable multi. It earns a favourite from us.

Out at the park with fruitsushi
The find took us a bit but we got it

A nice wander today while the kids were at the playground. I only recently visited this area tackling an Adventure Lab or two! TFTC!
# 6914 Grabbed this one during the pi- day event nearby. This was a former DNF for me, so good to fix this one .
Thanks Flintstones

Found while at a nearby event. I had previously searched for this but ended up being missing, but now I have had the opportunity to turn the frown into a smile.
Thank you
Thank you
While doing the Lab cache in the park, we saw some similar faces near by.
Went over to say g'day, and scored a free multi.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Flintstone's, for us and others to find.

After a rush weekend home, it's back to Canberra to catch up on the caches I missed.
Log signed and cache replaced as found on March 9, 2021. TFTC, Flintstone's.

Gathered the numbers for this multi. Very warm in this park today. Crunched the numbers and headed to GZ. Signed the log and returned to where I found it. Thanks Flintstones. All good with this cache.
Out today to get catch some caches on our 5th day in Canberra with RoddyC and Team Benders.
Today's mission was to do at least one of the oldies. But we got sidetracked.

fitzy_1965 and I headed into Canberra for a CITO and a bit of caching.
After the CITO, we teamed up with Sol de Lune & LuckL10n to tackle a few caches on this side of Black Mtn then went our separate ways for more caching.
Glad to see this one replaced as it was missing when we tried before Christmas. Nice easy find here today.

Worked through the coordinate calcs with DeadThief after the LakeG CITO last year but as per other logs the cache was nowhere to be found. As Flintstones attended to maintenance and replaced the cache, I took today as my opportunity to find and log.
So I did.
Glad to be able to now claim this one.
Thanks again Flintstones.

Solved the coordinates to this one with Turtle back in November for the CITO event for John Knight Park. At the time the cache had been muggled so I decided to save it for a daily find. So thank you to Flintstones for replacing the cache, TFTC
Find #181 for the tribe, day 30 of our mini streak and that is about where it will end! Maybe just one or two more?
Out caching with the tribe by bicycle today. Started off on the other side of the lake near the dog park and slowly made our way to John Knight Park, who I never really knew that much about until today.
Today the geokids had a fairly good time apart from one bike crash, playing at a few playgrounds around the lake including the one with the snakes that have been there for so many years.
Gathered the information at waypoint 1 while learning what a 'gnonom' was and finding out about John Knight. Thanks for the checksum, that +1 almost caught me out. An easy find at GZ. Picked up a trackable to move on.
Thanks for the history lesson and the really nice single offset multi. We like these.

Solved while completing an AL in the area. Some nice information here. After calculating coordinates a short walk over to GZ for a straightforward find. Thanks, Flintstones.
For my personal challenge , I only needed a multi and a mystery today so I decided that this would be a good one as I had some previous knowledge of The Man. It was great to discover even more details that I did not know. Once I had secured the coordinates it wasn't hard to locate and sign the log. TFTC Flintstones
Found while completing some of the lab caches in the park. It was really interesting to view the sundial and to learn a lot more about who John Knight was. The ‘add 1’ nearly tripped me up, but it was all nice and easy in the end. A lovely stroll to GZ for a quick find: interesting container! TFTC Flintstone’s!
Out with MuggleGeorge to avenge this cache now that it is back in place. Can’t believe how many cicada shells there are here tonight! Thanks for the lovely little walk around the lake. Thanks for the cache.
After a great Retreat, in Murrumbateman, over the weekend and still with some free time on my hands, I decided on heading into Canberra for the next couple of days after it. Monday 23/11, main focus was the older caches around the ACT which sort of panned out but with extra caches that I couldn’t pass by changed that. It was a great day visiting various places that I hadn’t and many others that I have. I also avenged my DNF on GC8PRBB and I found out that I am the first person to find this cache since August. The only problem was that there was rain to begin the day but it cleared up pretty quickly. With Geocaching, a small spot of shopping and meal breaks it lead into a great day out. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all the CO’s of the caches I found and for allowing them to bring me and others enjoyment. TFTC’s and TFTTP’s
Found today on a lovely afternoon walk at the lake. Had to wait till the disc golf boys moved on.

Group of us headed over to try and find this one, but unfortunately we were unable to find it. Will keep an eye on it and come back at a later date.
Sad times. No luck for us today as we searched after today’s CITO. Rats. Will have to be back another time to try again. Thanks for the cache.
No luck finding this cache today despite lots of us looking

I found this while on a lunchtime walk. I'd never seen the sundial, so was glad to be taken to it. The coordinates fit WP2 were e easy to work out and the find was also quick. It's a sad story about John Knight - I read he had a heart attack. Thanks for the interesting cache.

Today the Ridgeopup and I went for a big walk around Lake Ginn chasing a venerable multi and picking up a few others on the way.
I am a big fan of multis and this one did not let me down - could almost be a an Earth Cache in that it was educational and involved the Earth's angle relative to the sun (I think). It was straight forward to solve and then a short walk to GZ.
We watched some frisbie players for a while as there is one of those goals, made of metal hoops and chains, not far from the cache. I remember wondering what those things were a couple of years ago and now they are everywhere. Looks like a fun game.
Thanks Flintstones

Found this one following a good sample of the disc golf on offer in the park. Well hidden, needed a little bit of elbow grease to open the cache but contents in good nick.
Kick out of home.... Beautiful full sunny .. make me fresh air... stop for cuppa ... thanks
After a round of disc golf we collected the clues, plugged in the numbers, and headed off to GZ. A quick find once there, although it took a while longer to get the lid off. Tftc!
Found the sundial and did the maths. A lovely stroll through the park where I uncovered the cache. Nice container. TFTC

Out getting my cache for the day and a sweet little multi to boot. Not to hot yet but that will soon change today. Off to the mall and some aircon. TFTC Flinstones
Found with epzccc131, palm23011975 and geokids. GPS was bouncing around though so needed the hint to make the find
My muggle friend was the first to find it! Lots of prizes so my other muggle traded for a mini water gun. TFTC
Third for the day with Cinderspots2001 and this was her first ever multi. A nice quick collection of the required information and a nice quick find at GZ - TFTC
It was a warm afternoon, but Tankengine and I decided to do a couple of my outstanding caches before joining a few friends for a drink and dinner which ended the day perfectly.
I've had this one on my list to knock off for a while. We walked from the last cache around the lake to here. Obtaining all that I needed we then headed over to GZ. The whole *"shining armour"* made a whole lot more sense once I found the cache. Tftc Flintstones!!!

Since the 7th of November I challenged myself to try and do a cache a day. Seeing as I was in the area. Decided to pick this one up for myself today. TFTC
Headed off for the incorrect GZ initially due to not reading the question properly. Sat down, saw my error and corrected things and made my way to the right spot where the Knight was found safely tucked away. TFTC Flintstones.
After a pretty big storm last night I went for a walk around the park here to check out the shining and the armour. For once I managed it without maths errors and soon found myself in a quiet corner of the park. A few trees later I had the cache in hand. I did not realise the nearby accommodation had been abandoned, given all the other student accommodation being built, I am a bit surprised.
Thanks.

Thanks,
Thanks,
This was a fab challenge for the geokids. We missed the plus 1 instruction so the coordinates were out but a quick recalculation and they were on their way to the treasure! TFTC
I love a good multi. Made a stupid mistake calculating GZ (note to self- do the checksum BEFORE charging off to parts unknown), but fortunately fixing the error didn't require a return visit to the sundial. Cache found and log signed.

I enjoyed answering the questions I must admit I always find Sundials fascinating. The boys occupied themselves at the nearby playground and after a short jog the container soon found and returned and camouflaged carefully. A few of those frisbee golf players nearby. What an interesting sport. Looks quite fun and relaxing. Thanks Flintstones for an interesting Cache and bringing me here on another magnificent winters day spring is almost here.
