An early start on a big day geocaching, headed up from Cromwell... well I was halfway there Exploring Waimate and surrounds, a town visiting for the first time. Now for a nice bushwalk and to breathe some forest air! If not for geocaching I wouldn't have known it was here. A knowledge of fuschias helped find this cache tucked away, Holding a bit of water, emptied out. Log nice and dry though tftc

Lots of possible places to hide it but couldn't find it

I wanted to get a few caches nortwest of Waimate and today was the day.

I remeber having to walk up this track in the past.

Ms_KR and I cruised around South Canterbury today, then headed home. The weather was very good despite the stormy forecast, with only a little rain, and that was while we were out walking.

We were searching the wrong hint objects originally, but once we had the correct one, the cache was a quick find. We had planned on continuing to 2 and 3, but Mrs W.E.K.A. decided the stream crossings were better suited to a summer expedition. TFTC

Found with my wife on our pre Christmas holiday.

A nice easy find. No luck on the oldy earlier. So this find was a pleasant one after the other dnf. JDScout and I are on a pre Xmas campervan holiday. Geocaching is on my agenda. We both like biking and walking too. Thanks erninz for placing this geocache it is find for me.

Sadly there was no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland.

There's a bit of snow about here and the creek is higher than normal but some kind person left a support stick for crossing the dam. Just as well I wore my gummies! Cache was an easy find in good nick with nice swaps. Tftc.
