Visited here with geo-uncle 'Lat&Long Junkie' on our western weekend wander. We found the clue and as others before us we searched high and low, near and far. No luck. Is it still there??
Found our way to GZ no problem, but that was all we found. Found the"one last clue " and measured out 6ft ,then 12ft then 18ft , looked high looked low and everywhere inbetween but no milkshakes today!!! Seriously I don't think it's there. Thanks for bringing us out here anyway. Shame about the picnic spot. Albyalbatross , IF you're still around could you e-mail me some other clue so I can check again on the way home in a few weeks time. Thanks Cheers Temingi
We took the northern turn off the highway and did find a road that led to the park. Nearly ran over a red-bellied black snake on the way there - it was just able to slide away before we drove over it. From then on, we were watching out for snakes! Seems to be this time of the year again (this half of the year?)
Found in the company of geomum - she located the cache! This would have been an excellent spot for a BBQ when it was maintained. We could only drive to within 20m of GZ, as the track was blocked by large branches.

Great to visit such an old cache. We didn't read the recent logs and as a result were actually expecting to see a picnic / bbq spot when we arrived.
I was starting to think to GPSr had us in the wrong spot when the penny dropped... a terrific experience. Thanks!

This was a sad sight to see a picnic area left to decay. I had many a BBQ here with my kids.
Found the cache by walking along the road to get a reference and bearing and then paced the metres to the cache under the trees. An easy find despite the poor satellite reception under the trees. This was a good hide and an interesting landscape with many small mounds of rocks. I assume this was someone’s garden at some time.
Took the cards and left a penguin and a pen for the log. The pencil needs a sharpener.

Finally found this cache at 14:10hrs after the second attempt.
GPS had us going in every which direction and then back to where we came from.........
Eventually got it after much searching around and around.
The hint about the rock growing in the tree was very difficult to locate, even after perusing almost every tree in that section of forest.
We had a few issues with it as the cache was not in a milkshake container anymore (unless they are now rectangular and have clipped lids).
Very good hidey spot, took us ages of searching to locate the actual cache resting spot, even after we found that tree from the hint.
Took: YoYo
Left: Minature tennis ball
I (Donald) actually lived about 600mtrs down the road from this area, only 8yrs ago, some freinds were married in thia location when it was a pristine parkland and it is certainly very sad to see that the facilitys (toilets, BBQ's etc) have now all been removed and this area has become a waste as it is now reverting back to jungle again.

Up here on a holiday with family and back to find this thing. Well 10 minutes later I had the treasure in hand and log signed.

Not an easy one to find. My new GPS is still breaking me in. Found I had to use the GPS accuracy distance to help find that tree with the stone.
An attractive area that still revealed its beauty even though it has deteriorated a lot. Found the cache after a short search. TNLN. Thanks Albyalbatross
Well it's a sad day for Pantsman, with this been the first cache he didn't find.. This place has really been forgotten about there is nothing left. I will be back soon to continue my search and bring back the gold
Very interesting spot found the cache easily enough.
Sadly as with a lot of forestry areas that aren't utilised a great deal there are no facility's left. It is still an interesting spot to visit and definatly worththe efort to get in there

Dropped in today while in this neck of the woods doing recovery at Rally Benarkin. Cache is right were it should be.
Had a lovely drive up the back way from Linville and then through the forest. Found the site, followed fairly shortly by the cache itself, with the help of the clue as the GPS was placing us someway off course.
Would like to know more of the history of the place. Although it had a lovely atmosphere in the day time, I wouldn't like to be here after dark, it would be a little bit 'Blair Witch!'
Thanks for the cache, took nothing, left nothing.

Finally found the spot after initially missing the turnoff. What a beautiful area this is where someone in the past has obviously spent a great deal of time placing rocks around plants as if in garden beds. Didn't see any BBQs though!
A truly interesting spot. I could almost feel the history of days gone by. Certainly quiet today
I scratched around for a while but eventually spotted what I was looking for
Took a pair of shoelaces and left a bike puncture repair kit. I also grabbed the Appalachian Trail geocoin.

Another beautiful quiet spot in the area. Doesnt anyone visit these places..or was I just lucky? Spent some time here having a great tramp around the place

#8 of 8 for today and a pair of weary feet to prove it. Thouroughly enjoyed myself though.
What an unusual arrangement with the palms and rocks. When I saw all this the cache name was spot on. Has trouble with the GPS though - gave up on it and just looked around and eventually found it.

Cache in good condition.

Spent ages looking for this one, untill i realised that we were off by about 20 meters. i think that the gps was affected by the trees overhead. anyway thats 5 for us.
Nice early morning find before 4wding through the 'Seven Mile Diggings'. TNLN.

Nice find though there looked like a dozen hiden caches in the vacinity.
The forest seems to be slowly taking over the area, with a lot of infrastructure being given back to the environment. The remaining facilities are worth visiting for a picnic etc.
Thanks to Aa for maintaining a nice cache like this area. TNLNSL

What a fantastic hidden area. I probably won't ever get a chance but if I did this would be a great picnic spot.
The bushland here is something special & I hope it remains a state forest as its quite unique.
Found the cache without any difficulty. Put in a bracelet and took an owl (also took a pill bug and a millipede that were guarding the cache).

Really enjoyed this one - it was definately nice.
Unfortunately it wasn't very quiet as there was a great amount of logging activity within a couple hundred metres. Hope this great little place survives the logging occuring on all sides.
Had a lot of fun looking for this, the clue was priceless in the end. Had a good laugh as we walked up and saw that instead of the single tell tale pile of rocks or branches that usually denotes a cache, there was a pile of rocks under most trees and some just by themselves.

our gps was playing havoc here in the trees, the birds nest had fallen over. took single marble, left jane figurine.
First attempt at this was unsuccessful on our way down to the caching weekend. But it was a nice spot to have lunch, which we did. We attempted it again on our way home, after some helpful hints from the some geocachers at the weekend. We did find it after about 10 mins. Found it hard as the clue was the same colour as the surrounding vegetation. Took tattoos, dinosaur and put in a some marbles and owl. Ended up having morning tea there before heading off.

This was so easy, I don’t know why we had trouble last year when we tried. Didn’t trade anything. I had lunch in the park, I had meat for a BBQ but didn’t have the time, so I ate a fish sandwich and had a coldie before setting off for the next one.

Found this one quite easily today, Ruby wasn't real happy when she tripped over the little fence, cache is in good condition. Swapped lollypop for pack of playing cards (Ruby needed cheering up!) and also took Old Bill the Badger to try and get him moving again.
made a service trip today and there is now a brand new cache. TB Badger is just fine and hopes he is picked up soon.
Found today, very quiet nice spot. Dropped off Old Bill the Badger for a rest. Thanks for the hunt! Andrew and Maryan.
Cache was in a nice place and was an interesting hunt. Found it without to many problems but were thrown off course by the hints in the description. Had nothing to swap unfortunatly as we didn't have any room in the car for cache gear as we were coming home from a easter holiday. Everything in good condition. Thanks for the cache.
Found It!! Excellent spot for a cache. We went looking for it at night. Was a good one to find..
Cache was intact and well hidden.
Thanx.

We well and truely earnt this one as we were given a bum steer as how to get to the state forest. We ended coming into it from the other side via a service road (goat track), but finally made it.Eventful, but rewarding. And co was glad to have a cut lunch as there were no cafes the way we came in.Took nothing but left a plastic dinosaur.Every thing was in good order.
Thanks

[Hmm, after much hunting for about an hour or so we couldn't find the cache] or the tree with resident rock[ as noted in the hints so we gave up and decided home was a good place to be

Found at 11:35. Nice quiet spot with not a soul in sight. Found it without any trouble. Left a couple of packets of temporary tattoos and took a tweetie bird pen. Thanks very much for the hunt.
