After an awesome time at the Pearl Jam concert last night we awoke early to some lovely sunshine so decided to grab the closest caches to our accommodation before our buffet breakfast back at our hotel. MM spotted this one when he expanded the search area. TFTC
Someone put a snail in the bag. Log mushy in bottom unfortunately. Photo taken and sent to co in order to log find. Tftc
Having a weekend away in Auckland with matagouri, trying to knock up some numbers to reach 14,000 finds at my 20th anniversary of geocaching event (GCANR31) in a couple of weeks time. We parked up here with the intention of snaffling the tantalizing trail of caches along the cycle way back towards the airport. The weather was a bit marginal but okay for most of it. Maybe that's why we hardly saw any muggles throughout the day. Didn't take too long to spot it. Thanks for putting it here
In Auckland again with rattll, seeking to find as many caches as possible prior to a significant milestone for her. Parked the van at Moyle Park, and hauled out the bikes to follow the cycle trail from here back to the airport. All quiet at GZ, but still it took some searching to find the cache. Log dry, signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
After flying into Auckland this morning and walking north, I am heading back south again grabbing a few caches. Quick find here. But not quite the end yet. Thanks for the cache.
Day 1: The Route from the AirportWe arrived in New Zealand just after lunch, and with half a day left, what better way to kick off my third trip to NZ than to hit the ground (or runway, in this case) running? The trail leading out from the airport was a tempting choice, and despite the rain, I opted to go for it. My luggage and partner headed for my sisters place first, while I stayed behind at the airport to get the business here done. After 4 hours, with a slight bit of rain, a successful cache run was completed and I could get back in time for dinner!(End of the cut and paste bit)This is the specific log for this cache:and so the trail continues. This one was found after a muggle and his doggie passed me by. Fortunately, the grass here hasnt grown too bushy and I found the cache at the first nook I looked into. Not sure what the cache is supposed to be, but the log was signed all the same. The most eventful bit here was having to turn back as I had dropped my only pen today in the grass. Thank goodness I found it in short measure. TFTC!
Its not where I first thought the cache was going to be but it didnt take too long to zero on it. TFTC
I am starting the work day down Manukau way this morning, for the last time in a while, and decided to start the day off with an early morning walk. I parked up in the Williams Park car park and started my stroll. After finding "bushy" I continued my way down to this ground zero. I tried a few spots before getting the correct one here, as the phone GPSr was a little bouncy here. Cheers for the cache placement!
While waiting at the nearby motel, I checked the map and found 4 or 5 caches close enough to grab while just otherwise sitting around. This was number 3 of 4.Had a bit of a time with sat lock, putting me anywhere up to 10 m away from actual GZ. Eventually I started thinking like a cacher. I searched opposite where the phone was pointing me (I prefer GPSr units to phones anyway) and looked up a little higher than where the hint was pointing. Eventually located waist high on the stainless steel turn buckles. Nit sure if this was the original or replacement cache. Found and signed and replaced. Thanks from Adelaide.
Could not find the cache holder but did find a log book on the floor, signed and left by the post with a couple of stones on top, may need a check.
I ended up finding it and it was very wet,but paper underneath was dry and was able to leave our mark, also had a lil suprise inside
Didnt find this one yet i accident pushed the wrong location to say i found it but dw i will find it
Nope, not the end! But the last of the tramyard caches for today before continuing wandering along towards the airport. So thank you for all of them - and for the bus ride to get here in the first place
Noticed a lot of invasive moth plants along here, which I've reported to Auckland Council in the hope that they can do some pest plant management in the area before it spreads even more.
Nice and easy to find this one - thanks again!

Visiting from Ohio, USA and spent the morning geobiking around Auckland. Nice camo.
The fence here is quite impressive, and so too was the amount of litter and moth plant. Almost didn't find this cache I was so distracted by the moth plant pods. It was a good job I didn't have my bag with me or I wouldn't have gone any further, I would have just had a massive killing spree. But I only had my phone and a pen, so I signed the log and carried on.
Found with Kat33, Mumzi and TheGrunch. Greeting's from Calgary, Canada! So after three years of waiting and a few small trips here and there when we were able it was time for the family four to head out on a huge international adventure! The primary destination for this trip has been discussed at length for many years due to it being a bucket list site of TheGrunch who has for a long time yearned to visit the land of Aotearoa/New Zealand! Well yearn no more! With restrictions lessening and it being easier to travel it was time to hit up this country! Our trek started shortly after lunch in Calgary on Wednesday, February 15th and, after a layover in Vancouver, after one 13.5 hour flight we were landing in Auckland at shortly after 6am on Friday, February 17th. Were able to drop off our bags at our hotel which was also close to a series of caches so how better to start getting acclimatized? Marched for a couple of hours and were able to find 12 caches with some of them being pretty cool! Were able to get checked in and had a low key evening. Today we hauled off and made our way downtown where we really enjoyed the walk checking out the sites. Could see some of the recent damage from the flooding and the cyclone . Found three caches today, one traditional and two virtuals while also picking up a travel buddy. This cache was cache 9 of 12 and was found on 2023.02.17 at 10:07:00 AM for a total of 5033. TFTC tramyard!
After a looong day(s) flying from Europe over USA to NZ, and a jetlag nap at the hotel, we went out on a night walk to find our first two GeoCaches in NZ

I've had a long weekend in Hamilton ahead of a relocation in a few weeks time and have a few hours to spare before my flight back to Nelson. Let's see what caches there are around.
A quick find here as it starts to get dark.
Thanks tramyard

A nice quick find. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was a dry day, I borrowed by bro's bike and cruised around the place. I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

The phone GPS was out for this hide but I tracked it down in the end. Also added another log as the one in there was full. Thanks for another smile on my caching map tramyard! Hopefully have well and truly beaten the DNF blues from earlier.
We looked on the house-side of the path on the ground but couldn’t find anything
Over this way today to grab a couple of caches along this trail with the bike to speed things up and as I was solo, and not able to have a car at both ends.... Had dropped the teenager at college and parked nearby this cache to start the trail....have been coming here for many years to visit with the kids these little trains, so was happy to see caches added to the area and the cycle way to the airport....

Been looking at the bike trail in the airport for some time now but don't own a bike or anyone to go with. Dragged my 9 year old with me, found a bike and off we went. Pity the rain started to come down and little child was over it.
I couldn't figure this one out. Another time another day.

We were fast running out of time before requiring to head home so decided a quick jog along the walkway was in order to get a few quick finds in succession.
Well, yes it is the end of the trail for now for us, we will make sure to bring a bike next time to tick off a few more, now heading south to find a few Grotty ones before home time. Great weekend, Thanks!!

Onto a bit piece of a loop walk here, and a few more finds. Easy here, thanks Ark.
It's a busy caching weekend planned for me; mrs c has headed to our daughter's for a few days with our grand-daughter and so I am at a loose end of sorts. But so much choice and where to go? With a CITO at Henderson planned for Saturday morning, I then wanted to finish off Ambury Regional Park. Mangere volcano, and some of the motorway-side walkway caches and anything else in range when passing. As it was I had a medium-sized day with cache finds not exceeding 50 and 22kms walked during my searches, a good day though. Thanks to all the COs whose caches had the name capperz added to the log. Plenty of tramyard caches today though, nice one.

Couldn’t find this when we started our run but gave it another go on the way back. Still struggled but checked a few logs and one suggested the other side of the path. Seemed quite far off the coords, but it was worth a look and sure enough, in the third spot I checked, I spotted it. A quick sign and replace then off for an extension to our exercise, to hunt out a GROTTY cache and a piggy in space. Thanks for the start/end cache!
Number three on our end of 2020 walk. GPS initially had us checking out the wrong side of the path but geo senses soon kicked in for a look in the right place. Tftc.
Nice and easy, all in good condition. Slowly I am making my way to the airport. No worries, I don't have a flight to catch... Tftc
Compared to the African Leopard Unicorn, the Indonesion Forest Unicorn was much smaller, indeed one of the smallest species of unicorn. TFTC!!!
Our little cacher friend was determined to find this one. Log book is getting full, will need replacing soon. TFTC
Had planned this bike ride for a few weeks ago but the weather got in the way. Mrs NZT messaged yesterday to see if anyone was keen to attempt again today and yes we were!
After stopping for lunch we repositioned the cars closer to the start of this trail. The rain had now cleared so we were good to go again. Quick find here.
Thanks for the cache. Found with NZTravellers, Hello Birdie 1 and laval.

This biking track had been a plan of attach for Team SEAC for a while now however the originally planned day had to be cancelled due to bad weather.
A couple of days ago the weather was checked and found to be good so the cal went out. Unfortunately due to the late notice there were only 4 that could attend.
We had completed half this trail but forced back to the beginning due to the rain. However after lunch the weather cleared so we drove to the nearby shopping center and started on the second half of the trail.
Made a quick find here.

We had a day of two halves on this bike trail, in the morning we finished on the other side of the intersection before getting rained out and heading back for the cars, after a lunch at Carls Junior we decided the weather had cleared enough to carry on so drive up to this point, got the bikes out again and carried on. TFTC!
Late afternoon walk after dropping back the campervan and flying back to Dunedin tomorrow. This run of caches near the motel was a great chance to up the numbers for the week.
Trip to Auckland to get one cache in particular for a challenge we are doing.
Weather a bit dodgy but we got what we came for. SLTFTC

With family, and meeting up with Gap (of Fap and Gap)... We left the thick, dense fog of the Waikato, and climbed the Bombays into the brilliant blue skies and sunshine of Auckland. The weather looked like it was going to hold, so we did all of our non-caching things first... And then it rained, and rained, and rained some more...
We found some accomodation just metres from the Route 20A cycleway. That was handy. We waited for a break in the weather and hit the trail with the intention of clearing out the last few hides in here. We managed to walk about 500 metres before the heavy rain returned... A CO special tucked away in its alcove. The logbook has a few spaces left. Thanks tramyard and TFTC.

Greetings from Scotland. Due to the Covid 19 lockdown we have been resident in a hotel room for 10 days waiting for our flight home. All going well, we will be heading home tomorrow. We go for a daily walk from our hotel, look around with our eyes, if we see the cache we take a photograph to send to the CO. Most importantly, we touch absolutely nothing; not just for the health of others but for our own health too. It certainly isn't the end, it is just the beginning for us today. Another lovely afternoon and we decided to head along the cycle track again. The GPSr bleeped to signal our arrival. We followed the arrow and quickly spotted what we were looking for.
Photo log has been sent off to the CO so as not to give any spoilers on the page, and thank you to the CO for permission to log a find.

I sussed out another Air New Zealand Grab-a-seat from Palmy to Auckland and return $19.00 each way. Had time to walk along this lovely pathway to Mangere Centre Park to find 20 caches Thanks tramyard for the cache.
Headed to the Airport today with the bikes on board, to start on this trail. We got a few done, but the sun was too hot to continue to the end. Will come back another day and complete the rest. Enjoyed the ride nonetheless. Replaced a couple of logs that were full as well. Clever cache here, took a while to spot it. SL. TFTC.
On the last day in New Zealand a short walk from the hotel made and a few caches searched and found.
Tftc and greetings from Germany.

After a rather frenetic day yesterday, I decided I'd take it a bit easier today. A pleasant stroll before my flight home seemed like a good idea. no worries here. TFTC
Out completing the trail on a lovely sunny day. Had to widen the search a little for this one. Thanks tramyard.
Having a short walk while waiting for for my passengers to arrive. interesting place for a walk.
Staying in one of the nearby motels before flying back to Sydney early in the morning. Had to get out for a walk and a few last minute geocaches. Had to remove the snails from the outside of the container before opening it up and signing the log.
Find number 6050. Spending a couple of days in Auckland geocaching. Decided to cycle the trail to the airport today. I found a total of 45 in the area. Weather was a bit iffy but who cares I am geocaching. It is not the end as I continue on towards the airport. Cache found and returned. Thank you for the placement.
Up in Auckland for the weekend staying at the Ibis .grabbing a few caches with my sister and daughter. Tftc
I dropped off Ms M in Mangere this morning and headed out to Natural High and hired a bike to cache the trail on the cycleway.
I hope it’s not the end. Find #20. Going for 30.

Dropping family members at airport so just had to get a few caches on my way home and what better way to spend a rainy day. I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers
