Trying this geocache as my first one in years, maybe I’m rusty but just couldn’t find it. Beautiful spot
We are staying in Brisbane for the night, seeing a show at QPAC, and had some time to do some caching before hand. After visiting the library, I came down to the river and found the beautiful tree.
Once a few muggles passed it was a quick find and the log was signed.

After spending the day visiting GOMA and the Art Gallery with our Sydney friend, we came by your cache while walking back to our car.
Firstly took the wrong route so backtracked to make our way to GZ. Located this cache quickly. SL then returned as found.
Quite an impressive tree and looks like they may need to add more support to the limbs sprawling out towards the river. Thanks for bringing us here.

On my bike today, last day of 2021. Nice overcast day, cool breeze- time to grab a few caches. This one had me stumped, mainly trying to figure out which walkway. Tried the main boardwalk but realised it was way too busy to stop and search. Had a quick rethink and then had the cache soon after. Nice cache, log is dry and safe.
Went for a short walk along the river before heading to QPAC to see Queensland Ballets production of Dracula. TFTC domsky
GPS was a little off today for us but managed to find it. Signed T.L. (Team Lola)
Been waiting for this one to come back in action after the local boardwalk was finished with its upgrades. Log quite dry but I replaced the bag as it had a few holes. Picked up some rubbish around the area while I was here but unfortunately I think most would have washed into the river with all the rain recently. Looking forward to finding more in this series. TFTC!
Plastic bag containing log is full of water - will need replacing -too wet to write on
Another for the Jester-kiwi and the Princess ... I really should trust her vibes and not my old Android GPS. TFTC Cheers and thanx from us both
Tuftc. Was going to the European masters but 3h in the sun before getting in the building is not worth it for us. Great little cache but my geostepdad needs to listen to me more as he chose to go down the wrong path and had to loop back.
Off for a morning at GOMA with my sister to see the greats, I arrived early and had some time to spare.
Realised this cache was not too far away, I took a wander down to the water. As I walked along the path, I realised I probably needed to be on the other one. So, heading down and finding access I headed to the GZ. It was then that I realised I had been on the right path in the first place and had walked straight past the cache.
Heading back to the right location, I quickly had the cache in hand, signed the log, and replaced it, before going to see the art exhibit.
Thanks for bringing me here.

After a visit to GOMA, it was time to have a look. Nicely placed in a quiet spot. TFTC
Just prior to seeing some giant Lego statues we dropped by this one quickly. Tftc!!
I loved this spot on our first pass earlier in the day and was happy to see a cache hidden here. This was our first find of a few similar caches and we loved the hides, great thinking!
Thanks for the cache!

Out collecting a few caches in south and central Brisbane. This one was the first of the day and a quick easy find. TFTC
What a tree! Enjoying some time around South Brisbane for my birthday - geocaching, coffee and some exhibitions can’t get a better day . Cache found safe and dry. Tftc
In the city for an appointment on an overcast drizzly day so decided to gather information on some multis in the Cultural Centre vicinity. It was any easy detour to grab this cache that I avoided late at night during the week. A magnificent tree TFTC
Good to see this one back in play. I was on the wrong walkway initially but with help from the hint, an easy find. Tftc
Nice easy find. Beautiful tree - I love seeing that we are supporting, rather than removing, it!
I had a couple of hours to explore the area.
Lst time I was here there was fencing around the area. Today I had no problem accessing it and had a quick find.

Quick walk at lunchtime with K&L to grab this one after the walkway was reopened last week. Quick find at GZ after we waited for some muggles to clear off. We thought they may have been cachers as well but turns out they were just taking photos of the tree. As mentioned previous, log was wet but I dried it on my jumper as best i could and signed as TL. Many thanks for this one Domsky, it was good to get back on on the new walkway in the sun.
On some lunch time caching missions with TeamLambo, with the board walk being reopened it was time to find it!
Found fairly quickly in a suspected cache!
Log is extremely wet though and will need replacing (no spare logs on us today)

Got on the wrong path, good start to a day of caching! log is very wet, have taken a photo of the log. TFTC
Out and about for a day of caching and adventure up in Brisbane. Working our way down the Adventure Lab so we thought we’d grab this one.
Doubled back to be on the right path and found it no problem!
As the previous log said, the log is too wet to sign (even inside its protective bag.) EatAllThePie has sent proof of find to CO.

Thanks for letting me know that the log is wet. I will replace it later this afternoon.
Just an FYI that the temporary fences have been removed and the board walk is reopened to the public again Domsky.
Cheers

Checked on the work today. Still fences around GZ.... as soon as the location is open, I will re-enable this one. It is still possible to get to GZ via a slightly unorthodox pathway, however the official path is closed. I have checked that the hide is still intact.
Enjoying a wonderful wander around Southbank today nabbing some caches and visiting the museum and other sites. Appreciate the effort the CO is making to keep tabs on this cache. The boardwalk construction is looking fantastic and we hope to return to get this smiley once back in action. Thanks Domsky
The fixing on the bridge will probably be a long term project so maybe it is best to archive and then place a new cache? Been disabled and never found in so long so maybe the cache has disappeared.
Had a quick walk past GZ this week. The work is progressing, so hopefully all will be good soon.
We walked past this one again today and the area is still under a lockdown for maintenance. As soon as the fences are down, we will re-enable this one again.
Officially this area is still under construction, and work is being done on the nearby walkway. Once the fences are removed officially, we will enable again.

We will be back in Brisbane in 4 days and check on the nearby fence surrounds and work that is taking place. We will enable it if good to go then.

Hello domsky, just saying your cache is still accessible. There is a walkway involving stairs which approaches the cache from a different side, which means you do not have to go on the wooden bridge. That route was the one I took so feel free to enable your cache.
Found with kestal, spent a bit of time looking in the wrong place then got it right. Thanks for the cache domsky!
Lucky last find for Caro and I as we departed Brisbane. Searched in one spot to no avail and then moved on. Spotted what we came for in the second spot we searched. TFTC domsky
Continuing my lunchtime stroll, I followed the boardwalk around and was then surprised to discover I couldn’t access the cache from it.
Not to worry, extra steps won’t hurt and it’s not hard to get back on the right path.
At GZ, the coast was clear and I swiped the cache away in a flash. I guess familiarity with the style helps!
All good here so TFTC.

After work most days I bike ride with my best friend at chermside and when she is busy I find somewhere to ride and cache. This was my first find of 5 today . I parked not far away and put enough money in the metre for 1.5 hours . This was my second find and at first I was on wrong path but soon realised my mistake and what a great hint this was. I waited for a muggle to pass and found this cache. I love these caches. I have a few myself and they are muggle proof. Thankyou for all the fun
Found with bennyboppers and mnance101 today, after working out which path we had to be, amazing tree structure here. Tftc
We seem to be following a small wombat around the city. Quick, easy find. Def not Terrain 2. TFTC no 11
A quick find second time round.
The other night i was all over the shop.
A very cool tree i've noticed before, even photographed for its sheer breadth.
Thanks domsky for bringing it to everyone's attention with a geocache!

What a tremendously beautiful tree! I have often cycled by here but never taken the time to slow down and look.
A quick note - the plastic bag for the log has ripped slightly in the upper corner, doubt it will be a problem due to location but wanted to flag it just in case.
River is high and lively on this rainy day and it was a nice to take a breather and watch the people go by. TFTC!

I always enjoy my walk along this path, of course I was on the wrong path to get to this cache, so I had to double back along the correct path
Cache found, all good here.
Thanks
