Found it, but not before a couple hundred ants made it their home! Still a great cache though, just had some trouble closing it with the ants swarming my hands.TFTC
Log of the day :Started at 10:30 wanna to get the most of it as Ive never found a cache on this date. Many muggles here around. But they were all found really discreetly !Thanks from Belgium
I journeyed from Melbourne's CBD to this region for a power trail walk. The weather was pleasant in the morning, but it transitioned into a rainy day around noon. It was a rewarding geocaching excursion that allowed me to appreciate the natural surroundings and rural landscapes immensely.8th cache of today, Nice hide. TFTC
Enjoying a weekend geocaching with muggle sister after dropping muggle daughter off at diabetes camp in Warburton. Great hide. Cache and logbook in good order. Tftc.
Been away from Geocaching for a while and thought I would come back. Quick and easy little find. Hardest part of this one was extracting the log book from the cache itself. TFTC
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. Day 20/74, Saturday. It was pretty hot day today but I headed to lovely Altona, once again. Another day with a lot of walking. What would be a better way to spend a day off than walking and geocaching! Another quality cache, I like these. Thank you for the cache, and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! Logged with [GCDroid](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gcdroid).
Tonight was my third evening in as many weeks on the bike searching out the caches in this area. This was the first find, a type familiar and able to be opened without a tool. All in good dry condition. TFTC tackle_head
#11797 last day in Australia . Last chance fir a few caches before spending the afternoon with my friend before heading to the airport. Soon found
*End Of Year Cache Rush On A Bike Adventure #12*Find 10 of 12 for the day. Apologies for the generic logs. I'm trying to get 44 caches today, and have a limited time span to do it in. Worse, I'm on a bike, and it is wet and grey. Thanks heaps for the cache, and happy Third Day of Christmas!
We had an afternoon to while away in the area as we waited to attend a gig that Ms frilk was playing in the evening. We opted to wander and cache in the glorious Melbourne summer sunshine.A quick find. TFTC.
I'm currently chasing a souvenir - attempting a 28-day caching streak during July for the Wheel-of-Challenges souvenir campaign. Still have plenty of local caches to find, and still somehow maintaining the mojo and the momentum.
Found today's cache while cycling to Williams Landing. A quick stop enroute and a quick find too (which is unusual for me ). I like these GZ locations which are away from ogling muggles, even with the sports facility in full swing this afternoon. I had no trouble getting the lid off the cache container either - all working as expected.
I got FTF when many of these caches in the area were published but this is one of the few I did not get at the time. It worked out okay, because its availability more than 4 years later has served a great purpose in my pursuit of shiny (souvenir) pixels !
Thanks, tackle_head.

Managed to locate and by utilising a tool found near it able to sign the log
I didn't do it up extra tight
Thanks for this one as it had me scrambling

Out for the day caching around Altona Meadows with my 'new to the game' geobrother SpursNorth. A cloudy day with rain here and there which made for muggle free fun. I've had my eye on this series for a couple of years so it was great to finally complete most of it with just a couple of DNFs. Thanks tackle_head for placing and maintaining a variety of hides and adding to the game board.
It was extremely difficult to remove the lid here.

I targeted these caches today on my day off. The weather started out a bit crisp but by late morning I was in a T-shirt. I tackled these hides on my bike which made things a little quicker. Muggles were everywhere so I had to time my looking, retrieval and return very carefully. I had a great day.
Thank you tackle_head for placing and maintaining Altona Sports Centre for us to find today.
Find # 1859.

Out with KmanNZ today it was a fantastic spot to go caching and the weather was good not to hot or cold. TFTC
In town for a day while the good wife heads out to Equestrian Centre to check out this week goings on. Brought the bike with me to come down and tackle the caches in and around the park. 27 finds and a few DNF's along the way, however it was fun all the way. The bike was great idea to ensure I got around the caches in the time I had, but it was a pain in some locations. Once on a roll, it was a matter of looking for the right thing, and all was good.
Thanks tackle_head...really enjoyed your caches here and the work that went into them. Fav points scattered around the series.

Out and about with Omegamaqn1971 for another one of our catch ups, today we decided to head over to the Western Waste lands and find a few of the caches on offer, weather was perfect and we enjoyed visiting several locations, pity about the smell, it must have been low tide.
This is one of the caches found today.

Out with Rebel Acts far from home to put some smiles on the map.
This place was absolutely packed today with muggles but found somewhere to park.
After a short walk soon had the log signed.

I found this cache today on my Altona Plus Caching Tour in company of Pprass. The ninth cache of our second (10 cache) walking loop of the day. A short search but not too bad when compared to what we do on other caches sometimes. Thanks from D B-A
Found at 1:13 PM GAFF1 in the company of Rabbitto.
We approached from the wrong angle and it took a while to spot the hide.

Went out with the family for a nice walk with a side of Geogaching. Thanks for the cache.
Day 7.
Well not to far to walk for this one.
Looks like the weather over the last few weeks improved the camo a little too much for the previous logger.
It is safe and sound.
Signed and moved on.

Out for a nice afternoon walk. Thought we would try and grab a few caches on this side of the creek. I liked this one
I came in from the wrong angle initially and missed this one. After a quick search and coming in from the correct way it was an easy find.

My cache log catching up has finally reached the point where I'm logging in the same month as I found, woohoo!
With wonders of the world to find while wandering down Memory Lane RGSBruce and I have started tackling this series, albeit a couple at a time now, but a concerted attack is planned for the first opportunity.
Today's experience was a bit different for me in that the mosquitoes seemed to bother RGSBruce more than me.

HerIndoorsOutdoors and I were out on a mission to finish off the Modern Wonders so we could unlock the Ancient ones. With only two of the wonders to go, we targeted this cache and one other nearby to tick the boxes we needed to today. We were a little concerned at the construction work, but a quick read of recent logs cleared up that worry.
Speaking of other logs, one of the recent ones mentioned ear wigs - no sign of them today, but we were a bit worried about the mosquitoes carrying us off. I for one left with a bit of blood on my arms from killing the little blighters .
The cache is in good condition (but could maybe benefit from some mosquito repellent .

Spiffy- and I planned a cache day Sunday but the target area was a little undecided. Mainly because rain was coming. Finally we settled on Altona and the large trad trail. So we loaded the stealth bikes in and headed off. Driving there rain was falling, but it was only 10am and it was due at 3pm. Parked at the skate park and still a few spots of rain but so warm so we headed off. A few caches in I went back to my for rain jackets which I wore for only a few minutes then carried. Ironically arrived home sunburnt.
All caches were eventually found and the CO effort on these was great. We appreciated the work and the effort to place them.
Thanks to tackle_head for the placement and fun.

I have had my eye on this area for a while so today Fleabag- and I brought the bikes over which made it much easier riding around all these trails. I started out cloudy, then it rained lightly for a while so Fleabag- ducked back to the car for raincoats and then of course the rain stopped and it was really sunny. Just as our few hours here ended it went cloudy and rained again. We found all the caches in the park with no DNF's which was awesome...it's been a while since we've done that.
I checked a couple of likely suspects then moved to the other side of the tree and spotted it hiding.
Thanks tackle_head for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Lock down is coming to a finish but we can still only travel within the 25Km radius.
Meet up with BackPAQer both 24 km away from home and thought we would tackle some of these Altona caches.
Weather is mild with a strong breeze, so we grabbed a couple of electric scooters wrapped up warm with our face masks and headed around the park to see what we could find.
Some interesting caches hidden in different ways and a few that have not been found for several months.
Not a bad day with 22 finds and 3 did not finds (all the higher rated ones)
Thanks for the cache and the hide

Well its been a long long time between caches. Im taking all the precautions while being out. I have my mask and hand sanitiser. Decided to have a wee outing in the damp weather. Less people. I need a break from work and study.
Id been here basically the last time I cached in Melbourne for the Leap Day event but never quite stopped at this one. Glad to have the place to myself. Well, me and the mozzies and some very outspoken galahs. Tftc

This cache was surprisingly well made especially seeing that there are some pre-made caches very similar but without the personal touch that this cache has. well done tackle_head and TFTC.
Out today for a nice walk this was the first cache found. A great well made cache. The nearby path was being well used today. TFTC tackle_head
With the whole family being at home the past week due to the COVID shutdown, we decided to venture out for a walk in the fresh air and sunshine.
I knew tackle_head had planted a few caches around here last year so we decided to go for a walk-and-cache as a family, while we're still allowed to go outside.
Thanks to tackle_head for placing these, we TNLNSL, TFTC!

While in this parkland/ sporting complex area to attend the Leap Day event I also managed to find quite a few other caches that seem to be very plentiful around here. I put the excellent network of paths to good use with my scooter allowing me to more efficiently get about this interesting area. I was very nearly bowled over by throngs of super excited little girls as I made my way around the sports complex to get to this area TFTC tackle head
Daughter plays netball here. We were a bit early and found it! Nice hide. Thankyou!
