A nice and easy cache right near the path - especially good after the snake scare at the previous cache. Thanks!
I journeyed from Melbourne's CBD to this region for a power trail walk. The weather was pleasant in the morning, but it transitioned into a rainy day around noon. It was a rewarding geocaching excursion that allowed me to appreciate the natural surroundings and rural landscapes immensely.21st cache of today, Nice hide. TFTC
Enjoying a weekend geocaching with muggle sister after dropping muggle daughter off at diabetes camp in Warburton. Cache and logbook in good order. Tftc.
Many thanks tackle_head for providing this game piece for our enjoyment. And thanks for sharing the highlights of your region.
An evening ride to search out more of the caches in this area had turned into a night excursion in this now deserted park. A quick find here of a familiar handmade hide type. All in good condition. TFTC tackle_head
In Victoria on a long weekend from Brisbane. Spent a lovely long weekend in Hepburn Springs for a signature family event. The wife wanted to go to the tennis so I hooked her up with family and off on a caching adventure I went. Today is all about Jasmer cache gaps and getting to the 8000 mark.Made my way to ground zero after safely parking the car.Spied the cache quickly and avoided the muggles to lay hands on the log ready for signing.Replaced it safely and off on the next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for placing and maintaining this cache.Cheers
*End Of Year Cache Rush On A Bike Adventure #16*Find 14 of 16 for the day. Apologies for the generic logs. I'm trying to get 44 caches today, and have a limited time span to do it in. Worse, I'm on a bike, and it is wet and grey. Thanks heaps for the cache, and happy Third Day of Christmas!PS. No rock at GZ (but cache found). Rocks added to make clue relevant
After finding "Old Gums" prior to this cache, and noticing the same hint, and seeing there weren't too many of them here, I again mistakenly thought I had a quick grab here. Again, I was wrong! After fruitless searching I checked the logs and noticed CO's recent note about the replacement cache. Well, that helped and I was soon scribbling in the log and on my way.
Replaced the geocache as required. It is a bottle cap at the base of this tree.
Searched high and low around the area with no luck, we were there for about 30 minutes. Found a small pile of a few rocks on the ground in the area but they seemed to be decoy? Looked at previous finders logs to get some idea but didn’t seem to help us narrow down where exactly to look. The GPS did bounce around a bit but by around 2m. Yes we checked the terrain so we looked up too and also expanded our search area. Not sure if the recent bad weather the last 2 days might have affected the cache. We’ll have to come back another time later. Thanks anyway.
In the area for a weekend away and thought we would head off for a stroll and pick up the caches of this area.
A quick find and nearly had the log signed while the rest of the team were still hunting.
They caught up just putting it back.

Out for the day caching around Altona Meadows with my 'new to the game' geobrother SpursNorth. A cloudy day with rain here and there which made for muggle free fun. I've had my eye on this series for a couple of years so it was great to finally complete most of it with just a couple of DNFs. Thanks tackle_head for placing and maintaining a variety of hides and adding to the game board.
Spent a lovely winter's long weekend Monday geocaching in the park.
A great series of caches...well done!!!
I really enjoyed the trip around the park.....TFTC

Was a nice and sunny day for a change, So i decided to take the opportunity to go out and take the bike for a ride and cleanup some caching trails in altona, All caches were in good condition unless otherwise specified.
Thanks for all the cache owners for placing these caches for me and others to enjoy!.

Out with KmanNZ today it was a fantastic spot to go caching and the weather was good not to hot or cold. TFTC
In town for a day while the good wife heads out to Equestrian Centre to check out this week goings on. Brought the bike with me to come down and tackle the caches in and around the park. 27 finds and a few DNF's along the way, however it was fun all the way. The bike was great idea to ensure I got around the caches in the time I had, but it was a pain in some locations. Once on a roll, it was a matter of looking for the right thing, and all was good.
Thanks tackle_head...really enjoyed your caches here and the work that went into them. Fav points scattered around the series.

TFTC. I (Hans) am in Melbourne to see my mother off. Not a pleasant time. To clear my head my this morning on the way to the nursing Home I stopped off at Truganina Reserve to walk off those feelings. Finding caches as I walked seem to be therapeutic. Thanks for placing this in an area that I was familiar with in days gone by.
Misguided by a few trails in the vicinity of GZ, eventually found this cache. This truly is a nice place, meandering around the trails today was very relaxing.
Out today walking around Truganina Park. Another quick and easy find.
My thanks for the cache, tackle_head.

A marvellous day of caching in Truganina Park and adjacent areas. Thank you tackle head for so many caches, The mosquitos had a feast! Wet-lands it is!!
Found on 13 November 2022 at 2:29:00 pm. Nice little hide. Thanks for the adventure tackle_head!
Couple people walked past out of nowhere. Probably wondered what I was doing. Didn’t look good me squatting behind the bushes
Another one off the list!!! I'm starting to think that slugs have a fishy smell, or it's just me:)
Thanks for the hide

Super cool l!
Ahh I understand the lack of key ring situation on the other cache as this one was quite rusted

I have to admit to crunching over some vegetation to shift from one path to another. I suppose it was a question of time/daylight/allowing time for looking for a cache which had me save time where I could.
This was the most difficult of the caches found today. I can see people have been attempting to focus their search in particular spots. My advice would be to have a bit of a walk on the paths. You'll soon see what you're looking for if you do so.

Jenno3 and I hatched a plan earlier this week to come down here for a lil caching trip. Tftc
Here on a caching road trip with kenare to clear out a whole bunch as well as get some old ones. Nice hide tftc
In Melbourne visiting family and managed to sneak out for an hour or so. I was after the easy finds today.
Located quickly. Signed log TTM and replaced as found. TFTC.

Out for a walk today to find some caches and go for a nice walk on such a nice day. What a lovely park to do so. Thanks for placing all the caches in the park.
Another quick find today, #850 for me not a milestone but edging closer to #1000 after 9 years in this hobby

I'm back to Trug Park.
Time to clean up the loose ends.
Nice to see this replaced exactly in the spot I thought it would have been.
8km walk today!

I found this cache today on my Altona Plus Caching Tour in company of Pprass. This was our third and final (and longest) walking loop for the day. Trying to make our most efficient way through, we decided to head onto the more southerly path before heading back to the west. Thanks from D B-A
Found at 3:03 PM GAFF5 in the company of Rabbitto.
I think this was the end of this section and now to head back and do another section.
Thanks tackle_head.

So my random find today was a fizzer.
Tried a few likely spots here and there with no joy.
I'll keep an eye out and return.
Still a few days left in the month.

Found a rock shaped space but no rock, searched around the area but can't spot it :/
I had to run an errand in Altona today and took the opportunity to pick up some caches in a new area on the other side of town from home. I targeted a few of these caches as it looked like it would be a nice walk. It was indeed a lovely walk and I enjoyed picking up lots of "rocks". GZ was a pretty spot and very peaceful.
Thanks for placing and maintaining these cached tackle_head for me to find today.

Some days you find them and some days you don’t. Once The gizmo settled to where GZ was, this was an easy find. Took too long to find where GZ was though.

My efforts to catch up on cache logs keeps suffering from 'logus interruptus'. I think it is about four days after I wrote the log for #4 in this group of finds and here I am writing log #5 (and hopefully several more) a whole week after the finds.
Anyway, another in RGSBruce and my efforts to collect Wonders of the World, while wandering down Memory Lane and making 2020 a less horrible 'lack of caching year'.
Thanks for placing all these great caches in such a small, accessible area.

HerIndoorsOutdoors and I have had our eye on the cluster of caches here for a while. Until today, we had only had an opportunity to pick up a couple at a time, but today with a little bit of time to spare, we had a bit of a go. In the time we had, we managed to pick up 16.
The iPhone managed to mislead us a little once again, but no big deal just a few more steps towards the 10 000 for the day before we got to make the find.
The cache is in good condition.

Earwig has taken up residence in this nicely placed cache. Oops they seem to have just been evicted! Found with Jimmytherat. Thanks Tackle Head
Spiffy- and I planned a cache day Sunday but the target area was a little undecided. Mainly because rain was coming. Finally we settled on Altona and the large trad trail. So we loaded the stealth bikes in and headed off. Driving there rain was falling, but it was only 10am and it was due at 3pm. Parked at the skate park and still a few spots of rain but so warm so we headed off. A few caches in I went back to my for rain jackets which I wore for only a few minutes then carried. Ironically arrived home sunburnt.
All caches were eventually found and the CO effort on these was great. We appreciated the work and the effort to place them.
Thanks to tackle_head for the placement and fun.

I have had my eye on this area for a while so today Fleabag- and I brought the bikes over which made it much easier riding around all these trails. I started out cloudy, then it rained lightly for a while so Fleabag- ducked back to the car for raincoats and then of course the rain stopped and it was really sunny. Just as our few hours here ended it went cloudy and rained again. We found all the caches in the park with no DNF's which was awesome...it's been a while since we've done that.
No earwig nests all day and then 2 in a row. What's the chances.
Thanks tackle_head for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Lock down is coming to a finish but we can still only travel within the 25Km radius.
Meet up with BackPAQer both 24 km away from home and thought we would tackle some of these Altona caches.
Weather is mild with a strong breeze, so we grabbed a couple of electric scooters wrapped up warm with our face masks and headed around the park to see what we could find.
Some interesting caches hidden in different ways and a few that have not been found for several months.
Not a bad day with 22 finds and 3 did not finds (all the higher rated ones)
Thanks for the cache and the hide
Log book has been signed and returned
