Heading home from our months holiday and had to pop over to the coast on the way to check one of our caches. Stopped by here to claim this one on the way. tftc#9689
Having a day in the country caching and soon had this cache in hand. Thanks for placing.
we forgot to stop for this one on our way out, so stopped on return journey. And immediately, half of the West Coast decided to come zooming past!!! Was rather tricky to find a break in the traffic, but we managed. Tftc
In the area for a customer complaint drivetest. Needed a cache today, preferebly a multi but I just didn't really have the patience so I figured that can wait til next year and I'll just get a trad... this was the one. Quickly spotted in between passing cars, which I was glad. Thanks for another placement!
TFTC gracie7 + Mum, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 1 today, making this find #4058

We are over on a maintenance daytrip to check on a dozen or so Smurfs for various reasons (mostly trival) and we stopped on the way home to do a random check here (mostly to check how much room was left on the log) Good thing we did as there was only 3lines left so we made a quick log up. The camo is missing again but we dont have anymore to replace it so it will have to stay that way. All good here. Happy Caching
Another quick find on my way to Springfield and traffic got busy for a few moments

We had spotted a few other North Islanders make a personal 24hr find record so we took note of the general caches found and made a plan to try our luck, our previous best was 172, our aim was "more than Yeti", check out GC6PRMW once we have logged them all to see how we did...
This one is about the size of annat (a Gnat) still found it OK.

Day 1 of a 4 day road trip. Today we're heading east to west, final destination Arthur"s Pass. There's a fair few k's to cover before we reach our destination. No worries here. TFTC
After an overnight tramp to Benmore Hut, I stopped to find a few caches on my way home. A quick park and grab here after I parked carefully across the road. TFTC, Biggles.
I know that nut! Ha! A nice quick find on a short road trip to Springfield.

Team G0LD: Geocachers 0B80B8, Lis's crew and DaffyNZ are down from Whangarei for a few days. We've all solved the 4 big geoarts so they are the main target for the trip. Of course there were many other solved puzzles that we collected as well.
We'd completed the Fresh Breath, Smurf and new Skelly series and were heading for the line up of lollies. This one was on the way.
Good preparation and a fantastic team to work with made this an enjoyable and successful day. Despite its tiny size this was an easy find. Thank you for the cache

Team G0LD ( 0B80B8, Lis's crew & DaffyNZ ) on a caching mission to Christchurch. We had travelled down from Whangarei on Wednesday avo. Solved puzzles were going to be the main focus of our trip. We had spent a lot of 2020 and 2021 solving over 400 puzzles, so we had a lot on our list.
Today looked like being the best weather for our trip, despite a heavy thunderstorm overnight. We had a Big Day Out planned, with a perhaps optimistic target of finding 300 caches in one day. Working together well as a team, with a driver, a navigator and a jumper, we made good progress, but in the end, the bigger distances between caches, that we hadn't anticipated, meant we ended the day a bit short.
A fun day though certainly, and sincere thanks to the GeoArt & Trail CO's, and others, for placing and then maintaining such large numbers of caches so well. A testament to your dedication to Geocaching was the very low number of DNF's during the day. Apologies for the mostly generic logs, but be assured your efforts were truly appreciated.
Lis found this tiny one in the hint location

Northland's Team Gold (0B80B8, Liz Crew, DaffyNZ) are in Christchurch for a few days collecting all our solved puzzles and other cache types as we drive past. This is our "Big Day Out" to collect as many caches as we can in a day. Sorry for the generic logs. Thanks for placing the cache. We are loving every cache we locate that adds to our tally for the day.

Overcast and cold at home, however, we could see the sun shining on the recently deposited snow out west. Have stopped here before and searched without success, today however it was a simple park and grab; TFTC
I've driven past this quite a few times, but decided this time the timing was right. But perhaps not. The GPS wouldn't boot, and the phone went flakey as well, so took a wee while to eventually narrow down the area, and eventually spot it. TFTC.
Had some other plans for this morning, but unfortunately things got canceled and fate brought me here. Story of my life ae... Today, this moment, it is for this cache. Cache is all good here. TFTC.
On a Geotour trip for the week.
Passing through on my way to Springfield for the night. All GT caches found for the day. Now to get the numbers ticking over before dark. This is one of these blink and you’ll miss it towns/localities.

Mum had a Lion weekend in Lincoln and so we fit in abit of maintenance on the way home this afternoon. We stopped here to look for the original cache we suspect is somewhere on the ground in the long grass but discovered that the most recent camo had come off the cache and that is all we found this time. All good here. Happy Caching
A nice little hide here at Anna’s! Found with Campmotherandken today. Lovely day for caching although the road is busy! TFTC
After the recent DNF logs and then corresponding with the last DNFers we stopped to replace this cache with something similar. It was raining and getting late so we didnt have much of a chance to look for the cache which may be at GL so we will stop next time we are passing.
Now logged as a find with very kind permission from the CO's. Many thanks, searched and "found" with Coconuts3. TFTH it would have been a good one!!
Have CO's permission to log as we did find the correct place for cache. So happy to change this frown to a smile. Thanks for putting a cache at Annat Gracie7 + Mum.
We are either totally losing our caching mojo, or it has gone. There is a limited area to hide a cache, and your co-ords are good, so Coconuts3 and I wondered if this has been muggled. Spent about 10 mins 3 of us looking and feel it shouldn't be this hard. Will put on watch list out of interest.
Love the title for this cache but the three of us had no luck. Feel that the cache has been roughly removed will send photo in messenger.
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!??
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
Cache found on ground, took quite a while to find after moving from my co-ords a bit.

Down in Christchurch with the Squirrel, ABCDF4 and eyespyben. During Covid lockdown, we solved a load of puzzles and decided that this would be a good time to visit. We've enjoyed a few days of good weather and seeing the Canterbury countryside. The caches have been in varying states - some good, some not so much. Our time here has been a blast, and we'd like to thank all COs who have made this adventure possible. Thank you and TFTC.
After puzzle solving in the Canterbury region along with EyeSpyBen we were invited to join Fap (from Fap & Gap) and Squirrel Nutcase to a week long caching adventure in the Canterbury area. With flights and accommodation booked were off, all met up in ChCh. and many hard dusty Kms travelled and many caches found, I think the Squirrel has said it all in his brief. Many thanks for the placements and Cos for bringin us to the very pleasant areas we travelled in to your region

With ABCDF4, eyespyben, and Gap (of Fap and Gap). Logging all finds as Team HRP (Huntly, Rotorua, Papamoa - Our hometowns)... During Covid-19 lockdown, we solved a truck load of puzzles around Christchurch - Canterbury region. No use thrashing the old grey matter for no cause - We decided we should make good on this handiwork...
There are lots of interesting trails and geoart surrounding Christchurch. What you aren’t told is how far flung some of these caches actually are. Some beforehand advice would have been great, so here are some of my notes... You’re welcome!
1. Mobile coverage is patchy, especially in those quiet, rural areas where it was most needed. Saving caches to offline might show that you are prepared and organised...
2. There are many dusty metal roads on the trails. The car will get messy, and your hair will feel like cardboard at the end of the day...
3. Suitable clothing and footwear are essential. You will climb in and out of hedges, gorse, and other rough stuff. You might get scratched, cut to shreds, and bleed a lot. It’s not advised to wear your brand new jacket on the day...
4. Take lots of food and drink. You’ll probably be head down, tail up and not realise you haven’t eaten until late afternoon. There are very few shops or gas stations out there...
5. Make sure that you secure keys and wallet and know where these are placed for easy retrieval. A full box of pens might be useful too, especially if you’re inclined to free some into the wild...
6. Know the difference between left and right, and north, south, east, and west. Turning right and heading north will not get you to South Christchurch quickly.
7. Look with girl’s eyes rather than boys eyes... Some caches haven’t been found in a while and you might have to get down on your knees to pray.
8. Always be prepared for misleading hints. This is what turns simple caches into D5/T5 hides... “Head height” could mean the cache is positioned at your toes.
9. Have a sense of humour and like the people you go caching with. It’s going to be a very long day, and you might want to hurt someone during the journey...
10. Make sure you can operate your phone/device and it doesn’t crash when you most need it...
11. Learn to cut and paste logs because you’re going to repeat this function so often when logging all of your finds.
12. Above all else, have fun and be kind...
No time to waste today - We each had caching jobs to do, and our day was mostly planned... A quick find on this one. We get that sometimes hides are set up with a purpose - As this one no doubt has been... Thanks gracie7 + Mum and TFTC.

To continue with my personal challenge to get my finds for 23rd September up to a total of 26, and thus into a darker shade of green on GC's Find Calendar, I needed to find at least 4 new caches today.
A perusal of a map of caches I nad yet to visit showed that a trip up to Springfield and then back toward Darfield would produce the necessary number and also have a couple of spares in case of early DNFs. The bonus would be stop afterwards for lunch at my favourite pie shop - Darfields Bakery. [^]
Just as well I had some spare caches, as I DNF'd my 4th Springfiled cache. I made a quick stop as I headed toward Darfield. Nice breezy (due the nearby traffic racing past) find. That makes my 4th find so I don't care what happens next. TFTC gracie7 & mum.

Day 4 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
Seeing as I can't be in America right now, I'm touring around the South Island instead. During my time here I am aiming to find as many of the TMGT caches as I can (preferably all 41) and also as many Virtuals, Earthcaches and Letterbox Hybrids as possible, plus any Trads or others that will fill a hole in my D/T grid, my Jasmer grid, or else the last 3 remaining Hidden Dates on that grid.
This is when it starts to get serious. Last night I had my first taste of freedom camping in the campervan. Having cached until it was dark, I had no real idea of where I was when I parked up last night. But I awoke this morning to see that I had chosen a very quiet spot by a river. Two cups of coffee later and I was ready to get on my way again.
Just down the road from where I had slept were a few Trads, so I used them and a kind of way to wake up and get into the caching vibe for the day. This one was a fairly straightforward find. There were no issues with any aspect of this cache, so the log was swiftly signed and everything replaced exactly as found, and I was back on my way again.
Thanks for placing this cache.

We came over for a daytrip to check on a handful of Smurfs so made a random cache check on this one aswell. Container still holding up and the log still has 2/3's left to go. All good here. Happy Caching
Probably the wrong weekend to try to get this one. Successfully found and returned.
Got this on snagged and tagged. Cheers.
Friday today, we explored from Rangiora to Lake Lyndon
Its Queens Birthday weekend and The Seagnoid, Zara and I are heading out of town for a long weekend to Arthurs Pass, via Kaikoura. Had a fantastic weekend, seeing lots of new places, limestone formations, amazing views, awesome beech forest walks, but getting nowhere fast. Bloody cold at times with -3deg frosts but thankfully the snow stayed on the top of the highest mountains.. Enjoyed driving back via Lake Brunner, Murchison. An awesome few days exploring.

Must be a bit of an in joke. Or too subtle for a literal fella like me, even after reading TheWarnglers' log.
Taybeedragon and I are on a five day extended Queen's Birthday weekend. Happy birthday marm! The plan was to cache the Arthur's Pass route, from Rangiora to Lake Buller. You would think four days was enough to do 211 kilometers, but we didn't even manage the 130 to Arthur's Pass village before we had to pull the pin Monday lunchtime for the drive back to Blenheim. But on the way we saw some amazing views, strange geology, weird amounts of ice in the puddles, ice on the inside of our windscreen - it was that cold, caves, wonderful beech forests, rather a lot of bridge barriers and even a cache or few. And there was blisters, sliding down icy grassy hills on our bums (what fun!) and rather a lot of walking. Many thanks to all the cache owners that made this such an amazing trip.

We stopped off while passing and quickly located the cache but the road was quite busy so we had to time our retrieval carefully.
We took the log back to the car to sign and then waited for a quiet moment to return it.
Thanks gracie7 + Mum for a nice hide and for a test of our stealth

**Found on our February - March tour around the South Island. Logging back home in Auckland in Lockdown isolation**
After washout weather 4 years ago on the 29th February we have been keen to greatly increase our Leap Day Finds tally in 2020. To that end we made sure we were in Canterbury ready for some quick puzzle trails this morning, and determined to cache all day. Another quick trad find on our way to the smurfs. TFTC
