5 October 2024 11:32amI spent quite a bit of time here trying to understand the cache description and find some sort of explanation as to where I should be looking. A few spots I checked and rechecked came up with nothing.I kept going back to one spot to gather my thoughts and on one of the times, a slight change in perspective showed something amiss. It wasn't too long after that the cache was signed. Nice hide! Thanks for the cache.
Just picking up a few more caches with goingplaces2 while still in the area. We limited caching for the day due to the heat. Logs were signed and replaced as found. TFTC.
Came along on a hot day with ilook4geo to add some more caches to our collection. There were a few caches we selected for the day and each found log had two more names added to note our visit. Thank you to Miss_Direction for placing this cache.
We are heading from Woodford to Cabulture for the day .stopped of her on our way ..gotcha.
After an early rise for Dawn Service at Lutwyche Cemetary, we headed out for a country drive with lunch at the Kilroy pub as the target. Stopped to pick up a few caches along the way. The caches were found quickly and the log extracted and signed.Returned to the van and off on another adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for placing the cache for fellow cachers to find.Cheers
Stopped by here on our way to Woodford.Luckily this cutie was an easy find. Thanks Miss_Direction
While heading back to Brisbane from Kilcoy we took a detour along this road for a puzzle cache. We passed this Trad on the way out so stopped in for a quick find of it.TFTC
Wamuram run today.
The geo daughter tutors students, and one toning is here in Wam.
So in the hour she is working I have time to grab a coup e of caches in an area I do not come to often.
So this is cache one for the day. Got to GZ and had a nice look across the farm next door, with the sun starting to go down – looks great.
Wandered in and saw a likely spot. Nope.
Wanders about a bit more, with a little phone bounce happening.
Okay, back to the original spot, and of course, that is where the cache is.
Pulled out and signed, and then placed back carefully. Cache is in good condition and now has a squiggle from me in it! Thanks for placing the cache.

Found this one out on an adventure with the geofam.
This one was out in the open, and a little damp. Have placed in the safest spot we could see and have messaged CO.
Thanks for placing this and bringing us along this track.

Out for a bike ride from Wamuran to Woodford and return with a few friends. Great day out and I got well and truly wet on muddy on the return journey after flipping in a water filled muddy creek crossing near Woodford.
Stopped to seek out the cache on the return journey.
Now it is time for coffee and cake.

Spending the day caching in and around Wamuran, we headed up this side road and parked next to the GZ. At first we were not sure if we were in the right spot but after a wiggle, we had the cache in hand and the log signed.

Day 15 of our Beachmere housesit.
Today, we were going on the Ferryman Cruise on the Pumistone Passage, but at the last minute, due to bad weather, it was cancelled. So, instead, muggle sister suggested a drive in the country. Of course, that meant finding a cache or ten.
The route we took from Caboolture, via Diagular to Mt Mee and Dayboro, before returning via Petrie.....
Having read the cache description, I knew that it was "little Miss Direction" who hid the cache.
We spotted the likely hide, and I made a bee line without using my GPS.
Yep, right place, but hard to retrieve. Little miss d attended same workshop GC83R6H Creation Celebration workshop a we did back in April 2019, in fact Mr D helped Little Miss D using a power drill!
Thanks for the cache Miss Direction. Favourite point for Little Miss D

Found by our geogirl - we couldn’t believe she spotted it! Thanks for a great hide
A while ago we were out caching and came across a small hide that seriously needed an extraction device. I had taken the tweezers out of the geobumbag so I could do some manscaping and forgot to replace them. All we could see in the vicinity was a Bunnings and so went to see what assistance they could sell us.
We ended up buying some sort of tiny needle nose pliers that we have been using ever since and once again called upon it to help us get the log out.
Those crazy pliers have helped us extract many logs although I don’t recommend them for pulling hairs out of your crack. I normally let Mrs Woodyrothwell handle the pliers because she has better developed fine motor skills than me. She also seems to enjoy the pain I’m in when she plucks hairs out of my nether regions. tftc

TFTC. We were passing this way on the way to make a strata i=on the Harry Potter series. A quick find. It is certainly a tight fit.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.

After picking up a cache in the area, this was a quick find by Wazza9, the container had been replaced the wrong way up by the previous finder and the plastic bag was very wet, the contents safe and dry. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to Miss_Direction
I was a little concerned pulling up as the neighbours don’t appear to like uninvited visitors... I had images of a pineapple farmer brandishing a shot gun as I got out of the car...
Luckily it didn’t take long to spot the cache... using something from my backpack I managed to retrieve it, make my mark and return as found... tftc...

Found with GXYbuddy and SpectaclesOfRose on a cloudy morning. #3 for our geotour.
I broke my TOTT when retrieving the log book, the broken bits worked for me anyway. I really like finding these back roads to travel down to find caches. I find the highway can get a bit dull, although this one is better than the M1.

Out and about on a power trail today - targeting the Roses geoart (wahoo! highly recommended), the Potter Puzzles geoart, and the Hamilton power trail. It was a long but fantastic day with myself, Pprime (P') and mini oz_bean_counter, and the logs were signed as OP'X to reflect this. Started at 4 am with a check on the US election progress, in the car by 4.45 am and the first cache by 5.30 am. Home and dead tired 12 hours later, where wine and pizza were necessary to refuel the body before I crashed for the night. I was delighted to end the day with 124 finds (plus 5 DNFs, and revisited 2 caches) - a new daily record for me. I was really really happy to be celebrating that achievement with family and good friends.
Thanks for all the COs for their time and effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Apologies for the generic log.

Sunday. On the way back to Caboolture and we diverted to pick up this cache. Spotted very quickly by the ever vigilant Mr SP. Whilst he checked out the nearby ex-railway, I signed the log. Replaced into its hidey hole ??
This was the 4th of 10 caches found on this outing.

Out with GeoNayfee for the afternoon collecting some valuable target caches and a few as we passed by. We started at Wamuran head up to D’Aguilar and then down to Mt. Mee. It was a late start to the day but we still got a few in for the day. I was sitting at home when I got a call from GeoNayfee hey I’m going to do a few caches want to come along, how can I say no.
This was the fourth for the day and a quick stop near GZ and a short walk and the cache was spotted. A nice stop and taking no time to sign log and be off again.
Thanks for placing the cache here for us all.

Out with Chamad for half the day today. It was a bit of a late start, but we still managed 16 finds.
The day started at Wamuran after catching up with Grannysmith1947 to grab a cache with her. Once we finished up Chamad and I were discussing where we should go next. He said he needed a few more caches towards the north to fill in his 360 from home, so that's when we decided to head towards D'Aguilar, Mount Mee and back down to Dayboro.
Most finds were pretty straight forward, some were a bit of a struggle, but that's part of the game. Our biggest achievement for the day way finding the 2003 cache at the Mount Mee Lookout. There was plenty of people around, which is to be expected at the moment as they've eased back on the restriction.
I've forgotten how beautiful this area is, I don't come this way very often, so it's great to be able to escape the city live and spend a few hours out in the country. The recent rain we had not long ago has really brought this area back to life, everything is so green and bursting with life. It was a great day to be outdoors today, plus it wasn't hot either, which is always welcome.

Heading west to check out the action around Cooyar & cleaning up a few stray spots on our map along the way.
Quick find.
Unfortunately the log is fully soaked & even if dried would most likely be stuck together.
Some CO TLC would help this one.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Out and about today with Just a Trifle, to collect caches we both needed around Caboolture and Wamuran.
Okay, that was surprising! GZ seemed obvious, but that is very neat work. TFTC, Miss Direction.

I've taken the week off as the the geomonsters are on school holidays. Fortunately Sandra had booked them into vacation care for the day, so it was either do some work in the peace and quiet or go out caching.
A slight detour from doing the Agatha Christie series. This was a well hidden cache and fortunately there were plenty of 'tools' around to help extract the log.
Thanks!!

Heading from Kilcoy to Caboolture today we randomly selected some caches to get along the way. This was one of them and after a fruitless search Mr Beetle joined me and found it straight away. Don't you hate that???

Found while taking my 5 YO grand daughter out on her first geocaching adventure. This one was an easy find. TFTC.
After getting a quick bite to eat at the nearby bakery, I found my way to Gamgee Rd. I wonder if it's named after the hobbit, Samwise Gamgee of "Lord of the Rings" fame??
I was at first distracted by a little dragon running across the road and missed gz so u-turned up the road and came back parking within a few metres. The dragon was still up the tree very close. I ate my spinach and fetta roll & started to have a casual look for the cache, then noticed a car pausing at the letterbox across the road. They were probably wondering what I was doing, so I retreated to the car and finished my lunch until they were gone.
I was quite disconcerted by the colourful syringes scattered on the ground with other rubbish only a metre or so from the gz. I do not think these were the colours the CO was referring to in the hint... I picked them up with a rag I had in the car and secured them in an empty Coke bottle that I'd retrieved from the last cache site. I'll take them to work to put in our sharps disposal wheelie bin to be disposed of properly. Quite disgraceful, one syringe had a bare needle and being pink and purple would have been attractive to kids if coming here caching. Anyway, I cleared away the rubbish in the immediate area, so it's all safe again now.
Back to the cache - I caught a slight glimpse of it earlier and with the help of a nearby natural implement it was soon retrieved. I still don't get the thing about picking colours... ???

After being in self appointed quarantine the last week due to one of the kids testing positive to Whooping Cough (all is good - no symptoms and we are all clear now) , we were finally safe to be let loose in public again and decided a few caches would help relieve the cabin fever we were suffering.
