Found but did not open to write my name in as difficult to actually get my hands on it.
So sad to see three little ones interred here but in those days this would not have been an uncommon occurrence. I think it is great that you Wardy079 have commemorated these lonely graves by placing a cache here. A favourite point awarded.
A detour on the way to Toowoomba and a quick find here. I did think about how hard life would have been back in those days and the sadness of losing your children. We are blessed to live in such times as now. Thanks WallabyWanderers for showing us this one.
While travelling to Nanango for a few days with my geodog Scruffy , We just had to find a few caches along the way ...All Good .. TFTC ..
Not hard to find, and an interesting story - so sad to lose so many children so young.
With a day off work, I decided to head out and do some caching. I mainly targeted caches that would help with several challenges Im currently working on. Currently working on completing GC5JDTW "Can you spell JANUARY in January?" Challenge cache and I needed a cache beginning with the letter J.As this cache fits the criteria for the Challenge, I decided to stop by and find it. TFTC. SL. TBs Eddie Mac to New Zealand and Back, Prado Owl , Rawhide and Kiwi Bird visited.Find # 1863.
We were in the area for a Rural Safari event and stayed a bit longer to visit for the first time the Cooby Dam and to get some more caches around Highfields. We found this cache and signed the log. Tftc Wallaby Wanderers
Wardy079 I found your cache Johan, Pauline and Mary on 23/9/2023, 3:40 pm. This is my find 6041 and find # 15 today. A quick and easy drive by. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
We left Brisbane just after 10am yesterday to meet up with my wife’s friend at a cafe in Toowoomba before heading to lunch at myrtille at crows nest with family who live on land near by.
Spent the night nursing poddy calf’s and Roos and consuming a few beverages.in the morning found a few hours to work on a challenge to have on the radar
Found a safe spot to park the car and headed to ground zero to claims find. Located the cache and put my name into the log and replaced it safely back into its hiding spot
Returned to the car and leaded off to pick up a few more before a lovely lunch.
A big thanks to the cache owner for placing the cache and making it available to be found.
Cheers

First I came here at night and I couldn't see anything. Second time it was an easy find. We saw it but couldn't think of how it came out, then I saw a cable.

Such a sad story. Times were hard back then. Cache retrieved once the camo tether was spotted. Log signed
Not sure if this one is meant to be as deep as it is, but after drawing blood I gave up.
Found by Mary and David at 16:20. You just can't imagine burying 3 of your children in 10 years. So sad. A FP for bringing us here. Our last for the day. Our thanks to Wardy079.
Tftc. By the way there is a Tony black fishing line holding the cache in place. So don't need to put your hand down the hole like I was trying to do
Out caching with the Tough Mothers. Such a sad story. TFTC and for bringing us here.
Finding some caches on our way home after spending the weekend in crows nest. The story here is incredible. They were so tough back then. We have it so easy now!! Thanks for the cache.
Out chasing a nearby AL. Love the QR code that takes you to the story. Can't imagine living anywhere out here in those days. Uber Eats must have taken days to get to them.
Quick find , if not so quick a retrieval. [:o)]

Staying in Goomungee for a few days. A lovely winter day so we headed out to find some caches around Highfields.

Well, I had no idea what I was going to be looking at when I arrived at the location but what a cool GZ find by the CO. I had no idea it would have been here. I have to try the multi nearby at some point. I hope @WallabyWanderers will not mind but I replaced the log for them. I know it can be hard to get out to replace a log, so I saved you the trouble. Many thanks!
An easy find off the main road. Nice to see the grave are well looked after. TFTC.
TFTC! What a very sad story for this family! Nice easy find, but grass is very long. I did not wear appropriate footwear - thongs.

Annual Christmas pilgramage for the family. Was destined for Dubbo but for the third time we've tried, COVID-19 has prevented border crossings or made them too unpredictable. But hey, there's always someone else in a worse predicament then our family holiday being shifted around.
Ended up driving the Australian Country Way from Toowoomba to Rocky, then down the coast back home again. Not a drop of rain until we ran into Ex TC Seth, who apparently didn't socialise well. Got stuck in Tiaro for the night, before making the made dash back to Gympie once the way was cleared. We didn't get many caches on the way, there was too many to justify stopping at every single one, but we did find ones at cool spots we were stopping at anyway
What a sad story! The cache was in good condition but had some massively long grass surrounding it
All the logs are in good condition unless specified otherwise, and they were all found with ease unless specified otherwise.
Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache and thank you for breaking the drive up **WallabyWanderers**

Day two of my outback adventure of heading to Cunnamulla for the QOGM. This morning it is grabbing a few around the Highfields area before picking up my passenger for the next part of my journey west.
I mainly concentrated on the Highfields park trail caches, there were a few that I missed last time I was here and then there was a couple of particular interest to me now. Some good hides and all caches were in good condition. Some fun hides and some easy ones. Logs were signed on all caches and then replaced as found.
Thank you to all the CO’s for the caches found today.
Thank you for bringing me here, what a sad situation for this family.

Hi there Wardy079.
We found your cache **"Johan, Pauline and Mary"** today.
We came to Toowoomba as a stopping point on our way to Miles, but as there are so many caches and Adventure Labs that we've decided to stay for the entire week. We found 6 caches, 15 AL stages & DNF'd 0.
Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache not far from where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container & log are in good condition
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny

I'm tired of the city life
Summer's on the run
People tell me I should stay
But I've got to get my fun
So don't try and hold me back
Ain't nothin' you can say
Snake eyes on the paradise
And we got to go today ...
***Got to go CACHING that is & escape the ratrace!***
We got an early start & headed to Drayton with plans to clean up on a few AdLabs & Bonuses up thru Toowoomba, Highfields & Cabarlah then sweep up some of the Gravel's Travel Safari, & a few other random caches, before bedding down for the night in a cabin at Yarraman Caravan Park.
#31 of 53 found today.
Quick, tough times!
Made our mark & replaced as found.

We drove past here a few days ago and there was about ten cars parked on the side of the road. At first we thought it was a flash mob of geocachers and we were ready to jump out and join in the search. At the last minute we noticed they were actually constructing something so we drove on. Back today to find a freshly painted white picket fence around the three graves. There is no signage here at the moment but it looks like there will be some put up at a later stage.
It took a while to find the cache, we looked in all the usual spots with no luck and were worry that the cache may have been muggled with all the recent activity. Just as we were about to give up we found the very cleverly hidden cache.
A FP from us

Wow, what a step down memory lane for me. I lived right off this road, drove past this every day in 86 to 89 and never knew this was here. Thanks for a great cache drop.

Next, Brislions and I headed to this cache. Sucha sad place to visit as vandals have been destroying things here. GRRRRR! The cache was located and the log signed. TFTC
After sleeping in the Ute last night. A early start to our caching day. We solve the letterbox last night Selva Girls pick me up at woollies we found 30 caches and 1 Adventure Lab. The break down was 23 traditional, 5 mystery, multi, letterbox and 5 waypoints for the Adventure lab. So the finds count was 35. All caches were found all good condition.
Then I drove back to Brisbane in the afternoon. And pickup one in Brisbane.

Just happened to be in the area doing an Adventure Lab and this one sounded interesting. So sad at what a young age all three of these little children died at.
Hope the angels took good care of them, R.I.P.

Goombungee Day 2
Camp at the Goombungee showgrounds for a couple of days.
Todays trip was into Highfield out to Cooby Dam & return.
After 5 caches we realised we had a flat tyre so had to make a detour to have a puncture repaired.
We travelled to many new & interesting places, many dirt roads again today.
Thanks for placing this amazing series Wardy079
