We managed to figure this one out pretty quickly although initial access was quite tight. Love a gadget cache. A favourite from us.Out again today to try the Bug Series on Phyllis Park Drive and then collect a few remaining caches on the way back from Moruya.Coords on caches were generally very good. Some we found easily and others often took quite some time, but we enjoyed the themed containers. We had one DNF, but it has been missed or overlooked by a number of recent cachers, but with no DNFs logged.Another good day caching.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Youban.**SKI Pair****
Reperio 10:56Day 4 of our NSW south eastern caching tour, and Master Vitruvius and I travelled from Batemans Bay to Eden. The biggest factor of our travels today was the wind. Often blowing so hard it was a challenge to both get the log signed and hang onto zip lock bags. The journey along the coast was fantastic. With rain threatening to arrive early the next day, we aimed to get as much done as we could, and so concentrated our effort on ticking off the caches along Bengello Beach and then continued down the coast. Found most of the caches we searched for, so it was a great day out. Enjoyed finding these novelty containers.Gratias YoubanAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Out with find cache in good log is very wet as most caches are in this series. SL TNLN TFTC
Today we were back in the car, after the rain last night we were not sure how this series would pan out. We were pleasantly surprised to find that the ground and road were in very good condition. We were thankful that the coords were spot on and the hides (themed) made it very enjoyable. Again a few Fav points given.Note, not sure if it is the rain or condensation, but most of the logs were wet (bar 2), or had water in them making the signing of the log problematic as when signing the ink bled throughOur first of the morning + fav pointTotal Caches Found 16382TFTC Youban
Back on the mainland, after nearly 3 months in Tassie. So nice to have avoided all the excessively hot weather. The last in this series, which has been varied and very enjoyable. Given a fav. Thanks Youban for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Cache 10886 on 14 Jan 2024. Heading down the coast this weekend with TikvaNZ to attend two geocaching events, grab some other caches and generally catch up with other cachers! A great opportunity to get out of the bra and enjoy some new sights and vistas. My first time to the coast this summer! This cache: after a yummy BBQ breakfast, TikvaNZ and I decided to grab a few more caches before heading up the Clyde. Tackled this series, and found all eleven of them, mostly fairly easily. Very cute containers! Thanks Youban for the cache and the fun!
#21496 @1115A weekend trip to the coast with AngelG27 to attend the 20 year aniversary of the first earthcache. After this morning's breakfast event we visited a few Moruya caches before heading back to Canberra. Cache soon found. TFTC.
Headed down the coast for a day mainly to celebrate the Wasp Head event with The Rats and Hoojar but found plenty of caches along the way for a nice day out.TFTC!
Out for a days caching with steeba and Hoojar. We had a lovely day on the south coast. This was one of many we found throughout the day.A nice mini p/t with a fun themeTFTC
Out for a day of caching on the South Coast with Steeba and The Rats, aiming for a few series and finishing with the 20th Anniversary Earthcache Event.First cache of this series. Great the mozis are friendly!Cheers
A day out caching with Bogonghazy. Quick find. Thanks Youban for placing the geocache
Out again today with LittleBoss2 to knock off as many of these as we can. Another clever series. Thanks again Youban This seemed a little too simple to get the log, did we do something wrong that went right. Maybe it's BUGgered
This bug series was a enjoyable drive-by down a quiet road occupied by a few locals. One local even stopped to ask if we were ok, as parking on this road doesnt give a lot of space for over taking. Once we got the gyst on what this series was about the caches became easier to spot, find and log. Tftc.
Drive to south coast find few caches and visit friends house for cuppa ..
COOL CACHES...beautiful full sunny .. tks

As soon as I saw the cache I wondered if I should have bought water. Nope. Not needed. Great setup.

BUG guard was located on our drive along this quiet country Road.
It was late in the afternoon, and so we did not spend too much time, looking for the few that we targeted.
This one was found and we have signed the log.
Thanks Youban

Headed to Moruya with fitzy_1965, Death Killer and my_name_jeff_1 for a weekend of caching.
With what turned out to be perfect weather, we had a great day caching as Capital Crunchers with albida33, Sol de Lune, Smittengranny, Joolay, kitty katch, barb2e & cosmonaut97 (plus a couple of muggles).
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

With ACT residents no being able to travel to an area around the capital including the coast, it was time to plan a trip. There was a good sized group where we were going to base in Moruya for three days. I traveled with Sol de Lune and Smitten Granny. Others were Cosmonaut97, Kitty Katch, Joolay, Barb2e, fitzy_1965 & MinnieK. Most logs were signed Kapital Krunchers. We had a great weekend of lots of caching in fantastic weather. The first day we met up with others at the botanic garden before caching through the coastal region north of Moruya. We even attempted some first finds in the afternoon, but were beaten by Tankengine who seems always to get the jump on them. The day ended with Dinner at the golf club with Tankengine, Dty73 & Youban.
Our next target was the Bug series along Phyllis Price Drive. Only one gave us and issue and after a hint at dinner was found on a re-visit. A fun collection of camouflaged caches.
Thanks for the cache Youban

On a trip to the coast with a group from Canberra. Caches signed as Capital Crunchers or (CC). Tftc
What a great day today. It was a quick decision to come down the coast to enjoy the weather and do some serious caching in the area. This series was on our list and what a great series it was.
This cache was a cool cache. Really enjoyed the difference and variety. Very clever.
Thanks for the cache Youban

25,161. Found with minniek and a group of Canberra Cachers heading down to the Moruya region for a weekend of fun caching.
With travel for caching an option again, a group of cachers from the Canberra and Goulburn region - known as Capital Crunchers or CC in logs - planned a trip to Moruya for what turned out to be a beautiful sunny weekend with many memorable caches and moments. We were also rewarded with a bunch of new caches being published while we were there - cool ! My thanks to my caching companions and all the cache COs for a very entertaining and enjoyable weekend. Bring on the next one !
We now started another of the trails which we wanted to knock off. Quick find of the well set up cache. Log signed, cache replaced as found, then we continued on our way.
Thanks Youban !!

An invasion by a group of ACT cachers to Moruya area to grab (quite) a few caches.
Onto another series now and most caches were found without issues. A bit of long grass in sections, but all was good and our name was soon in the logs.
Thanks again Youban....

I am down the coast for a weekend of caching with a great mob from Canberra. My apologies for generic logs but today we found 60 caches and are now all sitting around chatting.
It was a challenging but incredibly successful day. Huge thanks to all the COS for the placement and maintenance of these caches. All logs were signed either with individual names or as Capital Crunchers.

After reading the last log we headed out and checked out the cache. Installed drainage, replaced removal tool (last one seems to have gone walkabout), and reglued magnets to hold tool. All good to go. Cheers
Found!
So cool!!!!
Thank you- I love these caches!
Big effort!!!

Having completed the "BUGS WAY" series yesterday, we couldn't resist trying the "BIG BUGS WAY" today. We were probably hoping for bigger bugs - easier to see and catch. While not quite what we hoped for Phyllis Price Drive proved to be a great location. The big bugs were all very cleverly hidden and aptly named, yet another FP for an outstanding Youban series.
Thanks Youban for creating this excellent trail.

Well, that was a new one for me. Someone went to a lot of trouble & good camo! Tftc
Found and signed dsd while out with friends on a day trip to the coast. Thanks for the cache and the adventure.
Dan spied this hide from over 10 metres away so we had no trouble with that! Had to use some muscles to retrieve the logbook though. It was very wet inside for some reason, but the logbook was still ok
Thanks Youban! Didn't quite work out what the theme / bug was meant to be here though, hmmmmm!

The number of unfound caches around Moruya was bugging me
Time to stomp on a few of them
Just kiddin'
I'm a fan of bugs great and small
Especially bettles
Even ants and spiders.
(Except for that red back spider that bit me on the big toe last week !!,
That hurt like stink for about 10 hours !!
Lost a night's sleep I did !! ) [:o]
First stop on the bug trail here,
and it took a while to spot the well hidden blighter !!

Find Number 2080 found at 11:10. Today we had 20 finds and 0 DNFs. This was the 1st find of the day.
Friday bridge was cancelled, so I decided to head South to grab some caches.
I looked straight at the container and ignored it since I thought I was looking for something else. Finally, it dawned on me and I was able to extract the cache.
The cache was in good condition. We took nothing, left nothing, signed the log and replaced the container as found. At this point I realised I had dropped a vital part of the cache and, since it was coloured very much like the ground, I had to spend a long time on hands and knees looking for it. Finally, I was able to replace it ready for the next seeker.
Thanks Youban for the cache.

#5945 10th for today
Logs may be stamped as "Kayak Cachers".
It was going to be quite warm in Canberra today so I decided to escape the heat out at the coast for the day. Moruya was to be the focus today and it was great to see the area green after a long drought and a difficult summer. It didn't start well with about 7 DNFs. I did not know what was going wrong. Some, I guess were bushfire victims, but not all. Once I found a few it got a lot better. I was enjoying it so much I missed lunch and was still caching at 6pm when my tummy began to rumble & I thought it was time to head home. The trip back up Clyde mountain was in thick fog, but there was no traffic. I was spoilt once I got to the top as I got to see one of the most spectacular sunsets almost all the way back to Canberra. All in all, a great day out at the coast.
Loved the effort with this one.
Thanks Youban

TFTC. 11 caches down, can't imagine how many mozzies down, but can say there are many more left to fight the good fight against the next cachers. Top series and lots of fun was had by us. Thanks Youban, we look forward to doing more of your caches.
Quick and easy find with the cache in good nick, filling in my random cache for the day. TFTC.
queenofscsots are taking a land/sea tour of New Zealand and Australia. We are having a great time exploring these great counties. This week we arse in Australia and exploring the bush.
Thanks to Youban for placing and maintaining this cache. Without their work this game would not be possible.
Caches should be fun and creative, not evil.

queenofscots & bobstaf have been geocaching & sightseeing for the past 2 1/2 weeks with over 30 other cachers from USA, canada & puerto rico....... we left auckland on 11/8 aboard the celebrity solstice......cruised around new zealand and over to tasmania, finally arriving in sydney, australia, ......
now it's time for the two of us to say goodbye to our friends as we continue to explore southeast australia .......so we pick up our rental car at the sydney airport as our adventure continues .....driving on the opposite side of the highway will add to the thrill......while we enjoy our final week at a time share as we can explore the beaches & 'bush' before returning to virginia
look right....KEEP LEFT....it's my job to make certain so that we don't craash...... & we now have 'sim' cards in our smart phones so that we can be 'smart' enough to find some geocaches along the way......sooooo off we go, hoping to see some kangaroo and more.......TCTF, queenie
grabbing a few caches near our time share......and i really hate the flies
oh my goodness......wishes do come true!!!!...... was just heading into the brush after bobstaf when i heard some twigs snapping..... thought bobstaf was coming back my way but (to my sudden amazement) a big grey kangaroo hops through, not more than 30 ft from where i was stopped...... he paused for a second then hopped on...... sadly, i was too dazed & amazed to be quick with my camera.....soooo i have no photo to share..... just a 'memory' to carry home with me.....apparently, kangaroo habits are similar to white tail deer that we have at home...... kangaroo crossing/deer crossing, unfortunately, still quite a bit of road kill

Finally a weekend away and where better than Moruya. We've come armed with lots of favourite points as we know we are in for a good time. Now to get down and buggy! Guess the grandkids have had fun with bubbles lately. Fav awarded tftc
Ahh! these bugs have a very good life! After finding each one we looked forward in anticipation, along with ilook4geo, as to what the next one would be like. Each one had a log to be signed and all were very good camo. Thank you to Youban for such a fun series of caches. This one sure was well guarded.
Had a very good day out today with goingplaces2 and found a lot of fun caches. Some were harder to find, some imaginative, some were easy, but all were very enjoyable. Lots of lovely bugs to be found in this part of the bush. TFTC.
Great series thanks for a good day out on a lovely spring day. Frustrated couldn’t find the pesky rhino. Thanks.
Another great cache construction. At our age it seems that the best part of a holiday on the South Coast is finding Youban caches. TFTC

Spending the day caching around Moruya with muppet95 we stopped by to look for the caches of this bug series, some hides were a little tricky then others especially with the sun setting quickly searching for the last few by torch light, which sometimes I think can make things easier.
A very enjoyable and series before hitting the road back home
Thanks Youban for the cache

Spent the day in Moruya with Bonfire7. We had a successful day outdoors, finding caches in the various trails in the area. I walked away with 60 finds and 0 DNF's! All coordinates were pretty spot on (<5m variance on average). All cache containers were well-themed and consistent, which made for a very pleasant day of caching. Thanks For The Caches Youban!
On a road trip once again brought be to this new series. The days a little cold and a drizzle of rain in the mix.
I enjoyed the finds, some were a little bit harder than others, the gps reception played havoc as well today.
All the caches had a fun theme. Thanks for the efforts made in creating the series.

The long weekend had arrived and off I go as part of the Canberra geocachers invasion for the SST series and any others along the way! A great weekend of camping, caching and socialising with a great bunch of people!
Swung by to do this series before calling it a day and head back to the Can. Wandered in from the geounit and with a bit of fiddling of the well constructed cache, I had log in hand for the signing

We are excited to have some new Youban caches to find on this long weekend. TFTC
*FTF* with Tankengine.
Youban had mentioned that they had submitted a new trail, but expected it to come out a lot sooner than it did. Luckily for me and Tankengine.
I was already on the way to the coast when this came out, I didn't really want to be doing them in the dark and the geofamily was just wanting to get some dinner and the geocats just wanted out of the car! So I had to wait until morning while the geofamily slept in. Tankengine sent me a msg asking if I was going for them and we worked out a time to meet up.
Not knowing what to expect for this cache, it took us a little longer to find than it should have. It was very obvious, even from a distance, but we just didn't see it. Signed the log and dashed off to the next acche. Tftc Youban!!!

Chooo ooo [FTF] with dty73 on a lovely day down on the coast! The day started off coolish, but warmed up nicely, and by the end, I was in shorts and a T-shirt! I saw these caches published yesterday afternoon, so decided to come down early this morning, to see if I could find them! (I also made sure to pre-vote yesterday). dty73 was already down at the coast, so I arranged to meet her here, and work on finding these together!
We had no idea what to expect with this series, but this hide was certainly nothing like what we expected! I was looking in completely the wrong fashion when dty made the discovery! doh! A very nice hide, a favourite from me! Thanks for the cache Youban, and thanks for your company dty73, it was a wonderful day!
