On a road trip to the north of the State and now camping at Tallangatta Showgrounds. Today we were out exploring the area completing a loop, up Granya Road onto the Murray Valley Highway and back down Georges Creek Road picking up random caches along the way, this being one of them. After checking out the elaborate Letterbox Art we headed across the road to locate the cache. Mr. Pooky commenced his search and the next thing he came running out from under the tree, the cache had a guardian and quite a large one at that. The goanna headed up the tree, so while Mrs. Pooky kept her eye on the goanna above Mr. Pooky continued the search below and he soon had the cache in hand. TF placing this cache for us to find on our travels and showing us more of the area. TNLNSL.

I was in the north-east to spend a few days in the Snowy high country with the MX-5 Club... starting tomorrow morning in Beechworth... so I had driven up from Melbourne today for an easy start in the morning... and to find enough caches in the Towong Shire to be able to cross that LGA off for the **WCW - The 80/20 Rule Challenge**... something the beginning of the **Border Loop** series was perfect for.At this point I will apologise that my logs are going to get rather repetitive... most caches were easy to find and were in good condition. At this point I had come far enough for the day... I had found enough caches in Towong Shire for my purposes and the afternoon was wearing on... and I needed to get back to my accommodation for the night... the rest of the **Border Loop** will have to wait for another trip. Thanks to **Thewins5** for this cache... and the series.

The JAMS team (JJ52 allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) were on a road trip heading to the Rutherglen Mega event (staying in Corowa) for 3 days then winding our way home via Albury, Wangaratta, Bendigo and various other places in between. It was a great week with many more caches found than we expected. There were targeted caches, challenge caches, Ad Labs, events and various others to fulfill various statistics for the four of us. We were lucky with the weather, it rained a bit on our way over on Friday, then half a day after we left Wangaratta but on the whole it was great caching weather. We did drive a few slippery muddy roads, but nothing too bad. We also caught up with lots of people either at events or out in the field and enjoyed many great chats. All in all a fun time with lots of Victoria explored and then very tired when I arrived home. [^]Big Grin

We had left our accommodation and had headed out of Rutherglen, on a round about route to our overnight accommodation in Wangaratta stopping for a few caches along the way and another LGA that we all needed. Big Grin

We came over here for a new LGA and had a nice drive along River Road finding a number of caches. A very pretty area. Cool

Thanks for the cache Thewins5. Smile

This is mogni's 2nd to last Vic LGA. We drove down the road to we had 20 caches in this LGA for that challenge cache then keep going on our trip. quick find.
Found with JAMS (( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, plus sir_spectre ) Mitchell&hound wasn't with us this trip) crew. All logs stamped as JAMS to save log space. This trip we are off to the Rutherglen Mega and then slowly coming back to S.A. for a total of 8 dys and 7 nights. The targets of this trip are for JJ52 to get 11 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and a few more Victorian LGA's, Allister W was targeting 17 virtuals ( or as many as he could get ) a few more Victorian LGA's Mogni to make the Rutherglen Mega her 20, 000 find and also for her to complete all Victoria LGA's, sir_spectre needs 1 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and get his Victoria LGS's down to 2 LGA's left. We got 20 or more finds in a LGA if we stayed in there over night. We also detoured to stamp any challenge caches that we were " in the general area off " and to complete that challenge before we came back to S.A. This meant that some times dirt road (s) had to be walked down because they were to wet to drive down and/or haven't been repaired since last years flooding. We started off the holiday in the rain and then that cleared up only to start raining and a overnight thunder storm but most of the trip was dry. Over 600 caches found for the trip including over 120 lab stages in that total. Got to complete the GPS Maze at the Rutherglen Mega for a 2nd time. Allister w was the team driver for all of the Victorian part of the trip. I think this was the first trip ever to Victoria that the extension pole didn't get used but the 6.2 meter ladder did get a work out.

The JAMS (JJ52, allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) go mega... We came, we cached, we laughed, we hugged and we had a great time. All caches were replaced better than found.
Thanks to Thewins5 from mogni

Another nice stop and a pelifab little postbox. Too wet for this little duck in the High Country so postponed the hike to the Viking and headed to Thologolong for the night. So glad the buddies were sensible about it as it was fabulous to be back camping and looking over the amazing 94%full ‘lake’ No wind either. Change of plans meant an alternative route home via a few caches. TFTC and the never ending fun!

TFTC. Day 5 of our inforced lay over in Albury while waiting for parts and repairs for our Motorhome. The plan for the day was to go and explore some more of the Border loop series. A great tour with a variety of hides and cache types. We had a great day around the Lake. Still have more to find but that may wait for another day.

Day #6 of the MEGA road trip. It was time to pack up our campsite at Smoko and head further north. We set off to complete a tour of some of the Towong LGA on our way into NSW.

A cool letterbox on one side and a waterside cache on the other.

Thanks Thewins5 for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Making the most of this brilliant weather today we traveled with Papi4506 and Geoturtle37 along the Murray, crossing the river many times just loving the views where each and every cache took us to.

We've escaped from home for a few days -the first break for at least three years.
Day three had a special purpose. I made a promise to a mate many years ago that we would have a cold can at the Jingellic Pub but, alas, he didn't get to enjoy the trip. Today I had that cold can for him.

Thank you, Thewins5, for this cache.

Now that's an impressive mailbox...

Dad went out solo as there we a few budding motocross stars tearing around down on the flats, unfortunately i don't think any of them will be crowned Mr Motocross 2020...

Anyway, under cover of ninja, i grabbed the cache , signed the log, walked nearly back to the car, forgot the clue, went back to the cache, then walked back to the car repeating the clue over and over....

This is one of many highlights that we love along the river road. The first time we spotted it we pulled up to take pics and thought BettyBoo3747 would love this. Great to now see a cache here. Limited signal where we parked & my offline list wouldn't load so I wandered for a bit aimlessly before I was pointed in the right direction. I wasn't far off. Tftc Thewins5 & for highlighting a magnificent sculpture.

Beautiful area with stunning views.

Not too many pelicans out of the water here today!. Quite dry and depressing really, sad to see the water so low. Thanks for the cache though. All looks to be in good order.

At the photo taken, the water level is at 20% capacity, which is slowly gaining levels, as of last month it was to just above 13%.. Lets hope it can keep filling for summer so i can bring out the jetskis once again!! haha!

Below is a blurb about us
We are trying to get a badge ,the author ,from project GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to get badges for adding photos to our found logs .
We started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full-time, living in a caravan, caching fits in well with this lifestyle. It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone. When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there in order to get the caches we want.

Trackables that we have with us today are:
Son of red
Rhodes travel Tong
Stanley the bushman
Where are my keys
Ducincs Viking ship
Miss Jenn lackey tag 11
TB challenge worldwide traveller
Scrabble tile
Kevin the trainee drop bear
3 million geocaches tag
Cohete Rocket
Around the world in 80 days
