Im here in Australia visiting from the US. Decided to venture to the Blue Mountains today and Scenic World. Unfortunately GZ is under construction as noted but I did take my photo there as proof of physically being onsite. I got here too early for the visitor center to be open which was unfortunate. I was hoping to hear what they had to say about the blue mountains.
During our trip to the blue mountains, we stopped here for a quick break and I found this quick cache!
Tftvc. Tricky getting the photo so was given the OK to carefully enter the closed area.
Hopefully the answers are good.Spending a night here at the tourist information which have a campground
On a very windy day we wound our way back home via a coffee stop here. And this cache! The pavement was fenced off so my photo is not ideal. Hope that's okay!
My first NSW virtual find. Here with geospouse SurdiVisio. Photo taken with the global flag of the sign language communities all over the world. Thanks thomo31
There is some construction work in progress so photo is as close as I could get to the Lyrebird.

I have definitely collected all this information and pictures on a separate trip, but could find no records on my end, so I did it all again today. This is a great stop on the way up the Mountains and the Information Centre is so helpful. Thanks for placing this virtual here for us. TFTC
I was finally in the Blue Mountains! I had read so much about them and couldn't wait to see more. I sent my answers to the CO and got one wrong. However, they were kind enough to correct me and allow me to log this cache. Thank you for the smiley and the fun!The day:I left Canberra today after attending the GeoBash Mega from the U.S. I was sad to leave my friends but ready to take the next step in my journey. There was a lot of driving and caching on this first day from Canberra to the Blue Mountains. There were some on the fly decisions and a lot of geocache finding. I was excited that the trip north had begun! Many thanks to all the geocachers who placed and continue to maintain their geocaches for folks like me to find. I know it's not always easy, but know that I appreciate you.
Searching for our picnic items on a mystery tour, we started in Glen Brook. Staying in Blackheath for the holidays, getting here was a challenge in itself!A short walk brought us very close to this lovely piece of art, we enjoyed visiting every town along the way.TFTC!
Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU. FP

Found it, was fun. Sent the answers and Thomo31 found them acceptable. Was planning on going to a gathering only to be told it is on Tomorrow. Tftvc Thomo31 and the other info......
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Signapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. We had about three weeks in New Zealand which went by too quickly. Yesterday we flew from Auckland to Sydney and today we are driving to the Blue Mountains where we will spent a night. On our way there we had a stop here to visit the Visitors Centre and to our delight saw there was a virtual as well. We visited the waypoints and the answers are sent by the message service. This was a very nice stop because there is lots to see. Thank you very much for this virutal.
On our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we arrived in Sydney yesterday. Today we picked up the rental car and drove to the Blue Mountains.Along the way we stopped at this virtual cache. We looked for the answers and took a nice photo.**thomo31**, thanks for the cache.
We made a quick stop on our way to the Blue Mountains. Thanks for the fun stop during our break!
Heard about the blue mountains many times, finally time to see it for myself now, riding in by bike!
On our way to Blackheath this was a short stop to look for the steps and the bird. Lots of interesting things to learn when doing this virtual and looking forward to a great day of exploring the Blue Mountains again. Thanks + danke. MacPivi
**XX** MMMMMMMMI: Headed to the Blue Mountains today on a tour. We stopped for a rest break here. Ironically, I crossed paths with a lyrebird later in the day while taking the trail to the Three Sisters. Answers sent. TFTC
6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.During our stay we will log PestiHoot for Pestinette and Blackhoot.Today, we visit Blue Montain.Guided by the GCs, we hiked in its beautiful mountains. Very beautiful landscape. Thanks to the caches we visited many sites evoking Australian culture and history. Thanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful or original spots
During our first visit to the Blue Mountains we stopped to find this cache which also happened to be our second cache in the BM. We are really impressed by this amazing area. T4TVirtual
TEMBO! and I visited the "Blue Mountains". We looked after the requested information and mailed it to the owner. Thanks to thomo31 for hiding and maintaining the cache.T4TC Filser1

Reperio 11:51After heading back from the South Coast today, we stopped by here for a quick rest stop. I had previously taken the photo for this cache about 3 years ago, but had forgotten the answers. So today, I quickly grabbed those again, and made sure to send them this time. Lovely spot here for a break. Nice wanders at the gateway of Lower Blue Mountains. Didnt bring my usual flag so heres the lyrebird tasting my AirTag
A nice and easy virtual whilst spending a few hours in the area with friends. It's been a few years since we've been here but we used to spend a lot of time around here and beyond when we lived in Sydney. TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
21340During our great trip around the world we arrived in Australia after visiting Canada, US, and some places in the Caribean Sea and Central America as well as Fiji. Besides lots of sightseeing, we can't do without caching, of course. That's why we also passed by this place, searched for the cache, found it and successfully signed the logbook.Thank you for hiding and maintaining the cache. Only thanks to dedicated owners is this beautiful game possible.Wir danken alle Cache-Ownern fr ihren Einsatz, denn ohne die Gemeinschaft ist dieses tolle weltweite Hobby nicht zu realisieren.
I headed up to the lower Blue Mountains to do some caching today. I got caught in a hailstorm on the way up. Whoever was in front of the traffic decided that we must all drive at 10kph. I was worried the traffic coming up behind me, would tail end me. I was looking for shelter for my car, and found it here in the Visitors Centre carpark under a paperbark tree; that is, when I eventually got here ...at 10kph . I have sent my answers. TFTC thomo31.

Decided to get in a visit and bike ride before the heatwave hits. Also wanted to check out Serenity the e-bikes new tryes They ride well I pedalled uphill from Glenbrook to the Oaks helipad and back. So, half of the Oaks trail today. A solid 28 kliks and steep! Yes, steep! On the ride out But a lovely day. Had snax at the Oaks picnic shelter. At the helipad a cyclist rolled up. Hed come from the Woodford side and said he was overheating on the hill climbs. He suggested we do the downhill into GB together. Well, at one point I glanced down and my onboard computer said I was doing 36kph. When Gary from Maitland stopped for a drink and for me to catch up he said, You dont like to ride fast? At the creek he had a swim and waited for his lift. I soaked my feet! Then a steep uphill to the carpark (I was offered and declined a lift) Still lots to do in this area! Incl the Woodford side of the trail which should be a tad less hilly. Stopped for ?? in town then over to this virtual. Answers sent to the CO Def going to jump in the pool this arvo TFTC Thomo Dropping off a **FAVE** here.
#400 A quick and easy virtual cache that wasn't too far from home and in a peaceful location.
Stopped off en route to the mountains for the weekend and was delighted to see that there was a virtual nearby. TFTC and for making it a quick one for us lazy adventurers
We enjoyed wandering this area. Thanks for the virtual visit. I sent the answer to the CO. FP from me
I almost missed finding this virtual completely! In-fact it was actually the very last cache I found in the Blue Mountains, which is a bit silly given it's supposed to be a "Welcome" cache! But I decided I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I missed such a virtual that I had to drive straight past, so made sure to squeeze in enough time to find it before I had to make my way all the way into the middle of Sydney for a concert! Enjoyed my quick visit here despite not having time to go into the Visitors Centre, and answered the questions / took my pic for the requirements! Many thanks thomo31 for bringing me here, glad I made the stop, answers sent!
Together with Bhrenfang I visited this interesting place. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Germany.
Today we had a stop at this point and could easily find the answers for this Virtual. Thanks for it and greetings from Germany.
I completed this virtual cache as I headed home to Adelaide after the QOGM events around Longreach. The plan was to be away for about a month. I travelled up to Longreach via Broken Hill, Cunnamulla, Charleville and Barcaldine, camping and finding caches of interest along the way. I am heading back home via Brisbane and the NSW coast to Sydney, then across to Adelaide. However my plans are pretty loose and subject to change, often on a whim! The weather so far has been good, albeit a little warm at times. I am hoping it stays good for the rest of the trip.I have had to be quite selective with the caches I have found as there are so many that I am passing. As a result I have mostly targeted non-traditional cache types, although I have also grabbed a few Trads opportunistically here and there. It was a good opportunity to stretch the legs and have a bit of a look around the town here. Thanks thomo31 for the virtual cache, which has contributed to an interesting and enjoyable trip.
Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. Started on the 17th September in Cairns. Our plan is driving.along the eastcoast down. Then in the south on to Adelaide and from there ending the 31th October in Alice Springs.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case thomo31, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
On my roundtrip along Australia with Oopie we are douing always some caches.Today we ware in the Blue Mountains for a lot of nice caches. We make all this caches together, so with your permission Oopie wil sent the answers.CO thanks for bringing us on this nice places and making this cache.

Down the mountains today so decided to visit this location. Nice park nearby. Also visited the National Park close by. TYFTC
Nice stop. Lovely day to be out and about.

I was visiting Penrith to pick up a new caravan. Seeing as this was just across the river I made a detour. Fun little virtual. I did like the effect of the stair case to demonstrate the journey over the range. I'll have to come back in my van and explore more.
Thanks for the fun!
Thanks for the fun!
Catching up with late logs On this trip we are basically looking for Adventure Labs, Earth caches and Virtual's, anything where there isn't muggles involved and also hoping to pick up a few LGA's we need around the Sydney areaWe stayed in Katoomba last night and have been working our way down towards Sydney having a great time locating caches and seeing some fantastic scenery. This one was a must stop for us and we are really glad that we did, what a great little park with so much to see in a small area. We headed off to gather the answers first which turned out to be quite easy and the answers have been sent off to the CO. We then proceeded to the location for the mandatory picture which will be attached to this log. Many thanks thomo31 for bringing us to this interesting location

#17996 - 11:38:00 AM; On a caching run with smittengranny out to Blackheath and stopped off to collect this virtual as we passed through Glenbrook. No trouble locating all of the information we required and answers have been sent off to the CO to get the OK. Nice spot to stop and stretch your legs too, so have a fave! TFTV thomo31
Although my main reason for travelling with LuckyL10n to this area today was to search for a couple of GCA caches, there is always time for more. This was one of the GC caches that we targeted. TFTC Thomo31
Stopped by the visitor centre as the rain just starting. Thanks for the history and cool sculpture;)
Today StreetWalkerNZ and I are driving from Bathurst to Dee Why, where we are returning the rental after 5 days exploring the Bathurst area, so this was more Goodbye to the Blue Mountains for us.
This was the last stop before hitting the motorway and the last cache of the day. Found a cache, a toilet and an ice cream, so a very successful visit to Glenbrook! Logged with permission. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC.

#22741. Last caching stop of our drive back to Sydney. This area proved to be a very pleasant spot. We gathered the required info, then sat and had an ice cream. Back to the car to repack stuff ready for returning it, and then it was off to Dee Why (thankfully we had a good run back). TFTC.
Welcome to Glenbrook, this has taken me forever to actually do, why ?

We had a drive to the lower Blue Mountains, and stopped at the information center. We then took the opportunity to do this virtual. Submitted answers to CO. Thanks for the educational content and the historical history, all very interesting.
Heading to Katoomba with half of Sydney today. Grid lock traffic most of the way up from here. Totally worth it for the views though. Happy Easter
Tftc, my first virtual cache ever! Came here on a hot and windy Saturday for my first virtual to find!

Day 3 of our adventure around Penrith.
fitzy_1965 and I continued our jaunt around the area with our friends from Canberra. Signed all logs as CDI23 unless otherwise mentioned.
Today's target was the pre-solved PGA series and others along the way before heading home. The puzzles were enjoyable but some had us scratching our heads too.
After splitting to find our own ways home, fitzy_1965 and I deviated to the Blue Mountains LGA. One that has eluded me for a while. We chose this virtual to fill that hole. Thanks so much thomo31. A fav point from me.

With the Canberra Day long weekend upon us, a number of Canberra region Cachers performed an invasion of the Bargo up to Penrith area. Canberra Day Invasion 2023 (signed as CDI23) consisted of minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, isopeda, barb2e, albida33, smittengranny and myself. Day 3. An early-ish start soon had us on the road grabbing more caches. Once we had completed the PGA series we all started heading home. minniek and I headed up here for a couple of caches so minniek can get the LGA. This was a great Virtual to do that. Answers sent to CO, and permission to log has been granted.

Hi Day One.
My son and I New Year trip turn into drive into NSW and beyond. Today was more about driving. I found 9 today with few DNF. Oh well they do happen.
The breakdown was a mystery, community event, traditional, multi and adventure lab.
Day Two.
We carry on heading south down Newell highway grabbing more caches. Stopping for old and some new virtual, plus more non traditional for a challenge. Unfortunately some of those prove hard to find.
I had lots of fun doing earthcache they brought us to some wonderful places.
I found 26 today the breakdown was 3 virtual, 3 earthcache, 5 traditional and 3 adventure labs with 15 waypoints.
Day 3

Then I headed to a event to meet up Canberra caching community. Two of them I knew from Brisbane who have move back here.
I did some caching around the park then headed to Yass to stay the night.
I found 20 today. The breakdown was 10 mystery, 6 traditional, 2 multi, letterbox and a event.

Total finds today was 21 the breakdown 11 mystery 7 traditional and 3 virtual. Plus 17 sign logs but don’t qualify for.
And lot of driving closer to home.
Day 7 Sydney and North we go.
I found 11 caches today, with some old ones as targets. Main thing today are caches for a challenges. Plus virtual.
The breakdown was 5 virtual, 3 mystery, earthcache, multi and traditional.
Lots of driving with couple of the caches, I wish Queensland had more virtual.
Thank you CO for your hides and the maintenance you do. For us to find

I was in the Blue Mountains for the weekend with my wife and found this great virtual on the way home. Thank you thomo31 for bringing me hear. TFTC
Three days in the Blue Mountains. First stop at the Glenbrook visitors centre for the virtual and some useful information.
Another stop at the Corridor of Oaks - Mrs Bear loves virtuals, yet Mr Bear likes traditionals with real cache containers better - and a solved mystery in Woodford.
When we reached Wentworth Falls, it was time to eat a pie... or two. Afterwards we enjoyed the views at Lincoln's Rock - no selfie on the rock ledge for us, but an amazing cache with a view.
Spent the afternoon strolling through the magnificent Rhododendron Gardens in Blackheath with plenty of Rhododendrons, Azaleas and even Waratahs in bloom.
At last we went to Govetts Leap Lookout which was partially closed, nevertheless the view was well worth the walk from the carpark at the visitors centre.
Answers sent to the CO.

There are roughly 3,000 gods on the Discworld and research theologians are discovering more every day.
Before heading back to Sydney, we stopped here for a quick wander around to stretch the legs. Thanks for the cache
Completed while exploring around the area. It was a cold and rainy night so I had the GZ all to myself. Answers sent to CO
Meme28 and I C Nothing are heading off on another geocaching adventure leaving the West and heading into Sydney to explore unfound territory.
Our aim is to find some older caches we wouldn’t be able to find in WA and then anything else that takes our fancy. Today we found your cache and happy to report it was in good condition.

On a geo tour of Sydney with ICNothing. Great stopping here to learn some history… Cheers for the cache!
