Find number 14319 at 3:39:05pm on Saturday the 5 October 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leisurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back.Well, WA Goes Big is done for another year and we are on our way home again now, via Perth, Kalgoorlie and the Nullarbor but slowly over the next five weeks SmileToday we headed in to visit the Fremantle Gaol and to look around the area, we also grabbed a few geocaches on the way back to camp. This is a very imposing memmorial and truely a magnificent location.**Thanks for placing this cache jinta29**---*WOW, so much happening at home in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.

Visiting Fremantle for the week from New Zealand.Am super impressed with the city so far and from our accommodation it's so easy to walk everywhere. As we are staying only a 5 minute walk from here, I wanted to watch the sun go down from up here, even though we have an amazing view from the balcony of our accommodation. We were not disappointed, and although many other people had the same idea as us, it was not overcrowded and allowed for taking a few good pics! A wonderful and obvious place for a virtual. Thanks for bringing us up here. Fav point added.

WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 56 - Fremantle to Swan Valley Perth. I did not have far to go today, so after a slow start I did a few caches on the outskirts of Fremantle, including an amazingly big cemetery. I was able to check in to the van park at midday, so that was great and I was soon out again. I selected a run of caches along a freeway to fill in my afternoon. It was a mixed bag again. some fantastically sneaky caches, some that beat me. I ended the day with a Solstice event where it was great to meet some locals. I went back to my van and cooked dinner before a very wet night. This is a very impressive memorial site, and I have been here before, but that cache seems to have gone. I wandered around after my walk to a nearby cache and found the answers required and found a spot for an image or two. Thanks for the cache jinta2947920.3 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & GPS Maze Whittlesea 2022 A#503**Albida**

Following an unexpected afternoon in Freo, it was time to head back to the ranch but not before dropping by here so that my PiC could see the views ( and this cache for me of course ). Once we'd grabbed the necessary info and getting my PiC to take the snap of me at 15:20, we were off, after one last look at the views. Well worth a fave point. Thanks jinta29.{Logged with approval}

My sister in law lives on Solomon, I was stuck here during covid and often wandered up to this monument. There's no mistaking that background, I stared so often at the cranes.

We completed the cache in January, but we forgot to log it. We'll do that here. TFTC

Full time nomads since February 2014, here to visit family.

Moving today from Pinjarra to Fremantle in the rain. Once set up we headed out to suss out the locations for the High Voltage Event tomorrow.

Well along with mundane task of getting fuel in the freezing wind we of course just had to stop for a cache or 2. Back at camp and thinking about dinner a knock at the door and jowiba a cacher we met many years ago when we first hit the road was knocking to say gday.

Then time to tune up the TV to watch the Kings coronation.

Love visiting this memorial. Definitely not our first visit here. Freezing today though. The ANZAC tributes still here today albeit looking a bit 'dried'

Answer sent to CO. Pic attached. TF placing the cache for us to complete on our travels.

Our last day in Western Australia and it was time to visit Fremantle, very easy with the train from Perth and after arrival we started our tour around town, where we hoped to pick up some caches on the way. As we had to wait to get on the Prison tour we decided to walk up here, but not really a good idea, as it started raining as soon as we got close to the monument. Luckily the answer was on the side which protected us from most of the rain. Thanks for the and greetings from &

Goldy and Jimmy are off to Perth for a couple of days, our first time visiting the city and the state of Western Australia.

We came to cache, as well as visit Fremantle and Kings Park. We also watched the Fremantle vs West Coast darby at Optus Stadium.

Thanks to olthomas for giving us helpful clues to what free buses go where and also for some food recommendations. It was much easier thanks to your efforts!

All caches were signed "Jimmy and Goldy". Jimmy's cache name is "idontcachemuch", However, "Jimmy" is easier to write in a log book!

Jimmy and I did our own things for a little and this was the spot I came with my limited time.

I don't love war memorials in the sense that they are sad... but love that there's so many to remember the fallen.

Thank you for putting out this virtual cache, very cool location for it.

Nice views as well.

Answers sent and photo taken.

Thanks jinta29 for this virtual cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 2758 on the 3rd of April 2023.

I have hosted quite a few CITO's back in South Australia, making huge differences thanks to the people who came along!

Whether you're out finding caches or just taking a stroll somewhere, remember to always be CITO-ing to help maintain our parks and reserves!

Today TaurusSix and I started the day in Perth so we decided to walk the bridge over to Optus Stadium, something neither of us had done before and along the way we collected the virtual and traditional cache on the bridge. It was a beautiful morning so a really nice experience. After that we headed to Fremantle to run some errands and collected several Adventure Labs, a virtual and a bonus cache. All in all a productive day in Perth and Fremantle and on top of that we collected a combined ally of 18, which is not bad far a non geocaching day ……..

This was our third cache of the day along with several Fremantle Adventure Labs. We had this on our radar for some time . So it was good to finally get to gz. Great views from there on such a beautiful sunny day. There were lots of muggles around so we needed to be a little stealthy while collecting the info. Great place and great virtual cache thanks jinta29, answers and photo will follow shortly.

28,679. Found with minniek during our long weekend adventure to Western Australia and the Northern Territory to finish our 'Around Australia in 2022' Challenge.

By the end of February this year we were lucky enough to have visited in and cached in five of the eight Australian states/territories (ACT/NSW/VIC/SA and TAS). With the Townsville Mega knocking off QLD in April, we decided we may as well do a trip to WA/NT to complete Australia in one year. This is that trip. Today we headed down Fremantle way for an event plus more caches. We headed up to find this 'new' Virtual - I did the old one back in 2008. We have sent our answer to the CO, and permission to log has been received.

Thanks Jinta29 !! Fav Point !

13:43, 25 September, 2022. #1845.

HerIndoorsOutdoors and I are on our way to Europe from Melbourne to finally go on a tour that was cancelled in 2020 thanks to you know what, and for reasons I won't go into here (very long story) we are flying out of Perth. So, what better to do than plan a night in Freo and fill in the following day before our flight leaves, than do a little walking tour that includes picking up a cache or two or three.

After finishing our walking tour, we started motoring our way slowly back towards Perth Airport, via a couple of points of interest. The War Memorial was our first stop for the view and the cache. A quiet day, with perfect weather for the views.

Thanks for giving us an extra reason to visit the Memorial jinta29.
