Reperio 19:18Today I headed down to Sydney to take part in the nurses strike in Hyde Park and along Macquarie Street to NSW Parliment, and so once that was finished, I had some time to find a few caches on route towards Bowral. What is a visit to Bowral without making a visit to the Don! As it happened, with the recent rain that had just finished prior to me getting here, there was a sublime rainbow in the sky, which I thought was quite fitting for a photo with Mary. Unfortunately its hiding behind the huge tree behind her. Loved visiting these display pieces today.Gratias AsTheCrowsFly'As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Great virtual to visit!!!Mary Poppins was facing 240 degrees at 4.57pm what an awesome sculpture!Don Bradman is ok. Not so much after buckoraider tried to compare him to Maradona. In fact he claims don bradman is better Sure mateThanks for the virtual!Favourite for me
What a privilege to finally visit this statue!! Fun fact, the Don and I scored 6996 runs between us at Test level. Marvellous stuff that. After giving the big fella a hug, Baristayan and I made our way over to Mary Poppins, where it was precisely 4.56pm which meant she was facing roughly SW at a bearing of about 240 degrees. Then it was off to make a wish, while trying not to get too dizzy.Such a great way to see some of Bowral's best monuments. Thanks for bringing us here
This morning we visited the Bradman Museum and while there, we completed the tasks for this virtual cache.Task 1: The required photo is included with this logTask 2: We visited Mary Poppins at 9:02 am (AEDT) and we estimate that Mary was looking in the direction of N117W. A photo is also included.Task 3: We tried the process and hope that our wish will come true - only time will tell. Thanks AsTheCrowFlys for a enjoyable Virtual cache at an iconic location.
Wandering with oldmorty around the Bradman Museum.Found Sir Donald George Bradman, AC,Mary Poppins and the very poorly Wollomi Pine. When facing the plaque at Mary's feet at 11.50am, Mary was looking over my left shoulder, although I couldn't be certain she didn't turn her head while I wasn't looking.
After a week visiting Mollymook and Ulladulla frazeydaze grabbed a few caches on the way home. After taking a photo with The Don we visited Mary Poppins who at midday was facing due west. We then made wishes at the Wollemi Pine which seems to be struggling at present. TFTVC.
After the big hike at Mt Jellore and the fun event in town tonight, I stopped at this nearby virtual which seemed to be fesable at night as well. The picture is attached and I had her look at roughly 110 degrees E when I was visitng at 20:40 A fun way of setting up a mulity like this. I did not know that there was a connection of Marry Poppins with this town.We came past the next day again and despite a 14h difference she seemed to be roughly looking the same way again? Maybe the mechanism isn't working at the moment. In any case a fund cache thank you. Today:TikvaNZ had suggested a big hike at Mt Jellore and many of our Canberran caching fellows picked up the call. 12 of us set out to attempt a rather tough hike going by the T ratings and logs some of the caches we had planed on the off track return hike sounded daunting. After an easy start on the hiking track to Mt. Jellore we eventually had to go steep down and steep back up again, ropes and all on this official track. Didn't expect that but it was fun. A bit more up and down and after 2 hours and 45 minutes we reached the sattle of the mountain. An impressive looking hill. After all that and a lunch break we were facing the off track bit down the steep side of this hill. The big green grassland we could see at the very bottom looked awefully deep below us. But everyone was up for it and off we went. After some steep clambering we struck a lucky vain and found a path under construction which is clearly leading up the hill and will connect with the path on top some time soon. Very nice. We found the cache nearby and now headed on path over the river and up the other side again a very feasible route without any fences or bad terrain (other than the uphill walking). Soon we had the last cache in hand and now trying to complete the loop wer were aiming for the crossing we could see on the map. Staying high for as long as sensible we soon arrived with minimal bush bashing the crossing with the path on the other side leading straight back tot he cars. Albite after a long slow uphill walk give everyones tired feet. Wow I think we navigatet this off-track loop really well and were lucky on top of it. A feeling of achievement after this 6.5h 11km track with 500m of altitute gain. A big shout out to Tikva for suggesting and planing it all. And to all on the hike, what a great sucess, everyone made it! After the big hike most of the party were going to clean up and rest before the event tonight. Search4 and I were keen to get in some more caching beforehand (who needs cleaning up when you can cache a bit more) on the way to the event in Bowral. Thank you 154 Crows for putting the cache out, maintaining it and contributing to this great hobby we have. Happy trails, Flintstone's
Finalised at 10:13am. #1526.Full of to follow. FP + 1.Mary Poppins facing mostly due-south, a touch south-easterly - 10:13am.Photographic evidence attached.Wish made.??????? ???????! Baruch Hashem! TFTVC! Much obliged for the placement 154 Crows!Kindest Regards, - Alephroom.
1350 for the tribeChilly day in Bowral, but the sun was shining, so we rugged up and Geocached! We enjoyed some history, some great bushwalking, and some serene spots. Had this one on the radar for a long time. How can you not love 'The Don' and Mary Poppins and a Wollemi Pine?! The Pine has seen better days by the look of it, but The Don and Mary are both looking stunning. We visited at 10.32AM. Ms. Poppins was facing East at this time. Thanks for placing. Not sure if I have a FP to spare but I'll try give it one!
A visit to Bowral is not complete without a photo with Don and Mary.We were visiting at 2.06pm and Mary Poppins was facing a SE direction.Thank you for bringing us here
Loved this area. Admired Mary Poppins .Thanks for the virtual and see photo.FP from me
Great little walk around the park. Mary was facing south east at 2:14pm and we all made a wish at the Wollemi Pine
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying a few nights in Moss Vale, today we were going to wander around Berrima but saw that the temperature was only to be 9degrees all day so thought we would try some more park n grab caches instead. All rugged up with beanies off we set reaching home as the sun went down.So much history in this region.Great cache, fave point from us. photos to be uploaded. We visited Mary at 12.34pm and today she was facing 93degreesTFTC 154 Crows
We visited the different locations while fulfilling the requirements for this cache. The photo is off hubby with The DonAt Mary Poppins we were there at 10.15 am & she was facing SE or looking towards the children's playground.I have given a FP for bringing us to these great locations. Thanks AsTheCrowsFly' for this interesting virtual
So photo with Don attached. Also coordinates from behind Mary Poppins and in front. One of them should be right. 13o North at 9.09 am 14/4 or 107o East at 9.38am 14/4 . Had fun with this. My first virtual and on my own
Exciting times over the next couple of weeks as we takeoff for the Capital GeoBash in Canberra! Its going to be a flood of Sandgropers over east, with a host of West Aussies making the trek east for the event. Im travelling with fellow Cockburn Crew members Leg5 and Barnzy12, starting in Sydney and hitting the road to Canberra, before returning back to Sydney. Honourary mention to our fellow member, Cravo10, who couldnt make it after recently introducing a new geocacher to the world the week prior. Once in Canberra, the agenda is set, well team up with a host of Western Australians to conquer caches. Collectively, were hoping to make it the biggest ever weekend for cache finding. Following the event, the journey continues back to Sydney, with a mission to clean up caches and new Local Government Areas (LGAs), ensuring no cache is left unturned in this epic geocaching adventure. Something tells me that well need a holiday after this, well, holiday. All logs have been signed as WAC to save space, abbreviation for Western Australia Crew. Cheers AsTheCrowsFly'! Join us in Augusta, in Western Australias South West, for WA Goes Big 2024 (GCAGV8Y) on Friday 20 to Sunday 22 September. Log your will attend now!
The Cockburn Crew are on tour at the Capital Geobash in Canberra - travelling from Perth to Sydney, Canberra, Sydney and finally back to Perth.Today was day 6. We completed a huge number of trails, challenges, whereigos, traditional, multis, earthcaches, labs, virtuals and puzzles. It really was a great day for variety. We enjoyed caching in territory we havent been before. Weve filled our boots with some rare DTs and DTTs and generally had a great time. Thanks to the COs for a great day and event. Was impressed with what we found here and it exceeded our expectations. Mary's nose was pointing roughly north at 2:30pm today. The poor old pine looked like it has better days though. TFTC
6 months ago, during a frenzy, we said to ourselves "why not going to the mega in Adelaide for the leapday". From scratch we moved on to preparing an 18-day project in Australia. Our objectives are simple, visit a small part of this immense continent while validating a few caches. There are so many caches (impossible to do everything) that we will select. Our plan will allow us to visit Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Mount Gambier and finish in Adelaide for the famous Mega.between Sydney and Canberra, we take a few breaks to discover some sites Thanks for the cache and the discovery of beautiful spots
Four years ago, a Bromance team adventure to hike Australia's highest 10 peaks in Kosciuszko National Park was cancelled after bushfires devastated the Snowy Mountains (and indeed most of the Eastern seaboard). We finally returned to Kosciuszko National Park a few days ago and spent three wonderful days in perfect weather hiking a 61 kmcircuit around the mountains climbing all of Australia's 13 highest peaks and collecting all the alpine caches along our route. After a recovery night and some caching in Canberra, we made our way to Goulburn last night, where we enjoyed a big feed at the pub before an early night. Our planned destination today was Sydney, so we got an early start, collecting a dozen or so target caches in Goulburn, before continuing north through Bowral. Our to do list has quite a few caches in and around Bowral. We always chase the rarer cache types and particularly virtual caches, so this was a must do. What a great location - most worthy of a virtual cache. No time for a visit tot he museum today. After some photos with the Don, we wandered past the kids practising at the nets over to see Mary. The time of our visit was 3.55 pm and Mary was facing west. From there, we just made it to the Wollemi Pine, which is looking quite poorly and not long for this world. As the rain started in earnest, I made my wish - for an umbrella. Not detered by the rain, I took a stroll out on the field to the wicket to savour Don's home ground and touch the pitch, where he made runs. I wish I had longer to explore, but the next cache called. The Don deserves a crooked favourite point. Many thanks AsTheCrowsFly. Pete#7,774
Crookedpete, JezNDez and I were part of a group of 7 geocachers from Brisbane who set off on a 3 day hike to climb to the summit of 13 of the highest mountains in Kosciuszko National Park. Originally this hike was supposed to have been undertaken after Xmas in 2019 but the rampant bushfires closed the park just as I was picking up my fellow team members from Sydney Airport. Now, four years later and it is finally mission accomplished and, after staying the night in Goulburn, we are slowly making the drive back to Queensland, collecting a number of caches on our to-do list along the way.Had our trip gone ahead as planned back in 2019 we would have been in an ideal position to visit this cache on the run home. Sadly we were too far north. Since then I have planned other trips to Canberra with the aim of visiting this cache along the way but they were either cancelled due to Covid, the route was changed at the last minute or just plain ran out of time. With plenty of time on our hands today, there was no way I was going to pass up the opportunity to visit this time around. We worked our way through the various waypoints as dark clouds gathered overhead. Crookedpete and I had just visited our visit with Dez still visiting one of the locations, when the skies opened and a heavy downpour began. Luckily it didn't last too long and by the time we made it to the next cache the rain had stopped and the skies were clearing. Glad to finally visit this location after my previous plans fell through. TFTCP.S. Time of visit 3.43pm. Mary was facing west.
#17.617We visited this virtual today and were totally impressed by the location. We just didn't realize why there was a statue of Mary Poppins here. We also made a wish at the wishing treeThanks for showing us around.TFTC
Found with The Matetrix, Czechboy14 and MilesMorales2.There will never be another Don Bradman, nor a Mary Poppins. Heading home from a weeks holiday break in Jervis Bay. A quick shot with the Don, a short visit with an Easterly(?) facing Mary around 7.00pm, then raced back to the geowife waiting most patiently in the geomobile.Favourite added. TFTC
Having a look around Bowral and a couple of caches. Got the photo of "The Don". Paid a visit to Mary. Facing West or as close as my Compass indicated (about 268 degrees) and 5.40pm Eastern Daylight saving time. Then the well and did a few laps and a side step as well. Just to make sure. TFTC
Day out in the Southern Highlands. The Bradman Oval was a highlight.Found with Jomingara. Thank you for the cache, we had a nice stroll in the park.
Answering for Sharanyaexpress as well.We made a day trip to the Southern Highlands and were rewarded with stunning views and great food.Travelling with a cricket fan, we stopped by the Bradman Museum and adored the oval. The views from the oval were gorgeous. We visited the Mary Poppins statue at 4:25 pm and saw her pointing towards 264 degrees from due north. Thank you so much for the enjoyable virtual. It is always lovely to see a Wollemi Pine.
Big surprise to see Don Bradman came from this town and also the author of Mary Poppins. After abseiling with Wilbert67 for a challenge we took a few virtuals in the area.Lovely weather and good company.TFTC
Two greats in the one spot!! - what are the odds??As we approached the great man's oval we were delighted to see a match in progress, presumably a small company having a bonding afternoon out. So lots of fun being had, in that wonderful location. Found him and nabbed a photo. Then over to her ... she was facing 260 degrees at 2.50pm (or was it 250 degrees??).We do think our wishes should all be for the health of the Wollemi pine ...Many thanks for this experience!
Very interesting museum to visit and lovely place to walk around. Picture attached with the Don. At approx 11am, we saw Mary Poppins was facing about SE. Made a wish as instructed. Thanks for this cache at this very nice location
Well my trip up to QOGM has officially started today and I’m taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there.
It has been a while since I have driven up the Hume and some people say that it is a very boring drive.
I consider it a very easy drive as people can pass you and you can pass people very safely.
Well it is time to say goodbye to the Hume and travel some of the other roads to some different destinations.
Made it to my destination for the night and as I had still had some time up my sleeve I found a few random caches.
This museum was the main reason I detoured up this way.
I have always wanted to come up here and the grounds looked terrific especially with the white picked fence around it.
WP1 - As requested I said hello to the Don.
WP2 - Mary was pointing South Eastish at 2.00pm today
WP3 - I followed the instructions so let’s see how I go.
PS - I’m telling you what I wished for.
A fav goes out to you for bringing me up here.
Thanks 154 Crows TFTC.

I'm heading to Canberra today to spend the weekend with my eldest son and his family, and with a whole day to get there, I had plenty of time to make a few detours in search of a few caches and adventure labs.
Because I'm a cricket fan, this place is one that's been on my to do list forever, so I made a point of stopping by here and grabbing a photo of me with the Don. I had no idea, though, that I'd also get to see Mary Poppins here, so to do so was very much a bonus ... incidentally, I was here at 10:30 am and she was pretty much facing due east at that time. Oh, I also did a few laps of the wishing tree ... unfortunately, though, my fondest wish is one that no amount of laps is going to help make it come true.
Thanks for bringing me here for a special walk in this park 154Crows.

A lovely winter day to visit the southern highlands, overcast but not wet, breezy but not windy, cool but not freezing - I survived in two layers. Decided this would be a great place to eat my pie lunch (lamb and rosemary from Gumnut patisserie, not bad) and it was! Then an after lunch stroll took me to these waypoints. Could you believe I lost count when counting to three during the wish process? Hopefully I nailed it… this was really cool to see, thanks for bringing me here. And yes, Bradman, what a legend! I was conveniently wearing my cricket Australia jumper today! Oh and that famous nanny was facing ESE at 1:37pm today.
I was driving from Sydney to Canberra this morning and I took a break in Bowral and decided to do this cache. I parked nearby and walked to the waypoints. There were a few muggles about and I chatted to a couple of them. For step 2, I was at Mary Poppins at 8:30am and she was facing about 120deg (ESE). Attached are photos. TFTC.
Enjoy doing the cache, loved the 3 way points and had no idea about Mary Poppins author being born here! Whoa!
Having a short break in the Southern Highlands. Thought we'd cycle the cherry tree walk. Must be spectacular in the spring. We'll have to come back.
As a regular member of the Barmy Army in Sydney, had to visit the Bradman statue and this cache.

A little detour here to break up the driving from Umina Beach back to Melbourne. A bit too pricey to go into the museum but happy to walk around outside it! Messaged CO re Mary Poppins statue as I’m not sure if I’m supposed to share in the log? Wishing tree… made a simple wish for us to arrive home safely and get a few smileys from this massive road trip from Melbourne to Gold Coast and back. TFTC!
Answers sent to CO. Used to love coming here as a kid because of my obsession with cricket. Great virtual. TFTC

First detour as we made our way toward Yass, heading homeward after a few days on the east coast.
After a quiet catch up with Don, it was 1 pm when we reached Mary, who was facing south east. Eyes wide open we headed to the Woollemi, each making a wish we do not want to share.
Thanks to AsTheCrowsFly' for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Sims_family and Dromaniax are on day Eight of a our 10 day trip to Queensland and back again towing a 12x8x7 foot trailer that is loaded to the hilt and weighs quite a bit. Fuel efficiency has gone out the window with the Ginja Ninja (My Orange Mitsubishi Triton) going through fuel faster than I have ever seen before.
Day Eight sees us travel from Woolongong to Canberra and a specific detour for this Virtual. Dromaniax is on mission to get to 180 found Virtuals so they are a priority on the Journey and I have always wanted to see were the Don played and see the museum.
Answers were sent by Dromaniax.
Thank you 154 Crows for the Virtual and sorry for the late log I am still trying to catch up on logs from the big journey

Today is the first day of the Sims_family/Dromaniax big road trip to Queensland and back again.
We are towing a very big trailer, which is chockers, but when you have a mission, and someone else is paying for the fuel, and there is the opportunity for nine days of caching fresh fields, you jump at the chance.
We have a long list of target caches and hope to cross quite a few goals off the list on this trip.
We are working to get to 180 Virtuals, so Virtuals are high on the list of desirable caches to find.
How could we go past a Virtual dedicated to Australia's greatest batsman?
Thank you for this Virtual cache, 154 Crows. A favourite point from us.

Had a great time catching up with friends and caching ourselves silly at the Rutherglen Mega over Easter. Now I'm heading home and putting on the steam to be back in time before Anzac Day.
Rolled up here at dusk and had a wander about. Visited Sir Donald and took his pic. Think I nailed the unique bit at least as the smiley is home made and did the creative bit when I naughtily got busy with the bulldog clips.
Next stop was to the magic nanny.️ I was there at 17:59 on the 20th April. Thankfully daylight saving had finished so I didn't have to do any messy calculations for that.
I've got 3 screenshots of the compass function at her statue but they are all different. I think maybe it's time I had a few lessons in how to use a compass as I have no idea how to tell which is correct.
They are- I°, 62° and 319° and in the fine print on each are other numbers in ° too.
My guesstimate is that she was facing East which would make it 90°. This is based on some research on her ability to "move" and what they said her direction was at each point so I matched where she was when I was there to the same thing on the clip.
It was dark by the time I got to the final waypoint and read the instructions. There was no one around so I thought I'd have a go just for a laugh. Don't think my wish will come true as I had to open my eyes a few times to check I wasn't going to trip over. Took another few pics and then got on my way.
This was a bit of fun to break up the journey so leaving it a favourite point.

Today was our eleventh day of the trip as headed from Canberra back to Sydney. We had eight Virtual caches (including Lane Cove), a couple of earthcaches, twenty Wherigo caches and three sets of Adventure Labs in Goulburn on our to do list.
There was even a match going on, thanks for having us visit, email on the way. tftc!!

I've wanted to visit this park for a long time. What a great place and some very interesting history.
While the famous cricketer is well known here. I never knew about Mary Poppins and her link to this area.
Thanks for a great virtual. Made my wish at the wishing tree.
Mary Poppins was almost facing due West at 11.15am. My gps says 266.8 degrees.

Lovely park. Great wander around the statues. Loved Don and Mary! Mary was facing west. Wishing tree looked like it was in need of protection TFTC
#3258 Sixth of eight finds while spending the day in Bowral. The selfie with the legend was the easy bit. I’ve added a photo of Mary heading west along the path at 1pm. Walking around the Wishing Tree with eyes closed was incredibly difficult. Thanks for a great virtual.
We had planned on a strenuous day of activities, then changed our minds due to the heat and humidity. So four of us set of in a nice airconditioned car to pick us some caches. The focus for the day was geocaches, virtual caches and a few Adventure Labs. And what a great day it was as we went along Lake George, through Goulburn and then on to the Southern Highlands. many thanks to the geocachers who have put out so many interesting caches.
This is a beautiful park that I could easily have missed. So nice that we stopped for lunch. TFTC

A change of plans early morning from hiking to driving. It was too hot today for much more than 'sedentary' exercise. With two Cachers and two Muggles we aimlessly headed northwards for a drive that took us all over the place to a few interesting locations.
A beautiful garden in a beautiful town. Saw plenty of people enjoying a game of cricket which was very fitting for this venue. See photo re: the direction and time Mary Poppins was facing. TFTVC AsTheCrowsFly.

Day 50 of streak. Felt like today needed to be a bit special as it felt like a mile stone had been reached.
As I work close by to this one, I decided to do my first ever virtual cache to mark the achievement of 50 days in a row. I parked my car and headed out to find Sir Bradman. As there was not a sole to be seen, I donned the Don with my glasses and quickly took a snap.
Next up was Mary Poppins. Firstly I was quite surprised that Miss Poppins moves and faces different directions. I don't know how many times I have been to this park and not noticed she is facing different directions. Next I had to determine what direction she was facing. I got my compass out and discovered at 8am Miss Poppins is facing due west or on a true bearing of 270 degrees.
Finally the wishing tree. I'm not going to tell my wish... if I do it definitely won't come true. But around the tree I did walk. A couple or passer-bys gave me a strange look when I started walking backwards, but I wasn't going to take any chances that my wish doesn't come true. Success, I'd completed the steps.
All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my caching experience today. Tried something new. Reached a milestone. Made a wish that will definitely come true!

We headed into the flooded eastern states for a week of geocaching fun. The mission was Frying Pan. The only December 2000 placed cache remaining in Australia. All other choices for this month are international. Traveling in style and comfort we selected the next cache on merit and forward movement. Some back tracking was required in the wettest areas. Wildlife seen included a lyre bird, king parrot and a single leech. Mozzies were a pest. Caches were found and signed. Wet logs were wet. Water does that. Numerous TOTTs were employed.
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

I completed this Virtual cache on a trip from Adelaide to NSW and back with Freddo.
Our main target was ‘Frying Pan’ in the Chichester State Forest, near Barrington Tops north of Newcastle.
We allowed ourselves a week to travel there and back, taking a circuitous route through Victoria and NSW, camping each night and finding a range of caches of interest along the way.
Rains over the past few months meant a few detours along the way and plenty of water about, restricting access to some caches and camping areas. Many of the roads were quite chopped up with potholes and the mosquitoes were plentiful! But we had a good run with the weather, with just the odd shower, but mostly fine, warm and overcast.
We visited Mary Poppins at 10:30am and she was facing roughly west.
Thanks AsTheCrowsFly' for the cache.

We didn’t know Mary Poppins was associated with Bowral. And that’s an interesting statue of her. We also liked the pigeon behind her.
And what a lovely statue of The Don. This statue wasn’t here last time we visited Bowral (Actuaally Bradman was still alive t back then).
We visited Mary Poppins at 2:54pm and she was facing West.
Thank you for this great virtual.

After a group of tourists finished their photos with the great man, I convinced MrsFish to sit with him. Our next trip was to Ms Poppins, who was pointing N 60 W and facing due west at 2:50pm. Not sure if it was going to move though, cobwebs on the disk seemed to have been there for a long time. The pine didn't look like it was going to grant any wishes but we did cast a couple anyway, just in case. Thanks for bringing us to this site, we enjoyed the cricket match being played on the oval too, as several batsmen were sent back to the pavilion. A nice way to spend the afternoon, shame the cafe was closed.
Today we went to Bradman Oval. While here, we enjoyed the sunshine and took lovely photos with Don Bradman and Mary Poppins. Thanks for the Virtual cache! I will upload photos later.
Wow. Didn’t know Mary Poppins was born here! Weird but cool . She was facing NNW at 2pm today.
I am visiting Bowral for the weekend with Hubby for a geocaching weekend and to use up our ‘stay’ vouchers.
Thanks for bringing us here. Pretty cool place!!

I can’t believe that Mary moves from season to season. A local was watching me and they confirmed that she in fact actually moved. I’m amazed. At 10.30am she was facing 230 degrees SW.

A nice sunny day and pleasant walk around the park. Picture attached of the great Don Bradman and I. Mary was facing 242 degrees SW today at 2.06pm. Thanks for a nice virtual.
I couldn't pass though the town without taking a quick stop at this virtual cache.
My photo with the Don Bradman statue is attached.
I then visited Mary at 4:55pm and she was facing East. Having the statue turn is a really interesting feature.
I was then off to the wishing tree where I faithfully followed the directions. It felt a bit silly and my photo proves that it looked silly too. Wish outcome is still to be determined.
Thanks for the virtual cache. FP for being fun and memorable.

A visit to Bowral would not be complete without going to this location. It is an impressive museum, and the outlook onto the ground with its white picket fence completes the whole picture.
We were surprised to find the second statue of the Nanny. at 2:21pm today she was facing/flying NNE.
Thank you and congratulations for this Virtual.
An exploration of Bowral was on the agenda for today with the associated geocaching. It was a mixed day, with quite a number of hides being in poor condition while others good, but in general some tough going. The weather was a bonus, with overcast skies and only light wind.
The highlight of the day was a trip up the Gib with some magnificent views and good caching thrown in at vantage points.
We completed two Adventure Labs and a few multis, but largely traditionals, with a couple of Earthcaches thrown in.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache opted-out user.

My mothers day treat was a visit to Bowral for lunch and a trip to the museum. We enjoyed the virtual cache, wish made and answer sent to CO. TFTC.
Took advantage of the clear skies and sunshine to hit the pavements and explore my new local area.
I waited for a few other visitors to have their photo with the legend, then stepped up myself (see attached)
I then visited Mary, I’ve always lived her story, unfortunately some bogans had added traffic cones to Mary’s head and umbrella but they were too high for me to take down! I’m sure Mary would have had some words about this behaviour ! Answer sent to CO
I then visited the prehistoric tree to make a wish.

On our wet couple of days in southern highlands, we took the opportunity to visit Don and Mary.
As it was raining, Mrs Domsky took the opportunity to protect the great Don from the weather with her big Bunnings umbrella. (see photo). What a hero he is!
It was then on to visit Mary. We also visited Mary a few months ago in Maryborough... another town that shares history of this same author.
When we arrived to visit Mary, we noticed that she too had her in brolly due to the weather conditions.
(Mr Domsky was particularly happy to say hello to Mary, as he models his geocaching bag on her own magic bag…. full of tricks).
Mary was hailing the sunset with her brolly protecting her from the easterly rain and wind. It was 1pm, and she was looking west to the sunset. Sadly she would be waiting a few more hours, so Mrs Domsky joined her to help wile away the time ( photo), and then it was time to visit the wishing well and give it our best shot.
A lovely virtual.
Congratulations 154 Crows on receiving this virtual from GC headquarters, and for the wonderful placement.
Thank you!

Up in Bowral for a day trip on an unfortunately drizzly day. Made the most of my time.
Got a photo with The Don and also took a snap with Mary Poppins. At 9.55am she was facing West with my compass sitting nicely on 270*. Snuck across the wet grass to make a wish before heading back to the dry of the geo-vehicle. Thanks 154 Crows for preparing this Virtual.

Sincere apologies for logging this so late, I am not usually this tardy with my logs. However it has been an especially busy few months which have meant not as much geocaching as I would like and the few I have found I am quite behind on logging!
GGCoconut and I decided to make a spontaneous drive down to the beautiful Southern Highlands for a spot of caching on this particular Saturday in December. Despite many visits to this region for orienteering, I have never been to this actual location and it was very pleasant to visit each waypoint and learn a little more about Don, Mary and the Wishing Tree. Our (not so) little TB buddy Roar the Dinosaur enjoyed it too!
Photos attached and Madame Poppins was facing west at 5pm on this particular day. TFTC!

Tankengine and I were on our way home today and had packed TOTTS, done puzzles, had ALs in mind and had plans for the trip back.
We got muggled out of one cache, festival set up hindered one AL and the weather was just holding off, but all in all a good day in the end.

We made a wish at the wishing tree, but not sure it will come true as I think we missed a step in the instructions. Oops.

We have travelled from Sydney’s Northern Beaches to the NSW Southern Highlands for a short midweek caching holiday, staying in a park cabin at the Mittagong Caravan Park at Emu Plains, and are planning to explore the areas around Mittagong, Bowral, Mount Gibraltar, and Box Vale. Hoping to collect a variety of cache types, including some Earthcaches and Wherigos and previously solved Puzzle caches, and to also complete some of the Adventure Labs in the area. This was our 2nd find of the day, and 25th find of the holiday.
Visited the three locations and answered all of the required questions, including a team "selfie" with the Don. It was an interesting look around this famous location. Thanks 154 Crows for the Virtual cache.
