Had a great time exploring parts of the gardens I don't normally go to. Interesting history and facts!Tftc
Been here before in these beautiful gardens. Did not gave the time for this virtual back then. Now took the time to see and read all WP's. Thanks for showing me, answers sent to CO. Tftc!
Loved this. I love walking around the gardens, and this cache has shown me some new spots I hadnt found. Thank you for such a well-thought out cache. Thoroughly enjoyed.
A wonderful walk around the gardens. I did most of the waypoints on Monday after my event and then finished the last couple up today. Just brilliant. This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 13832. Enjoyed a wander around the gardens today grabbing answers where I could. WP 8 was a struggle but I got there in the end. Our answers have been sent via the message centre. Thanks AussiePam for the cache.
Found with Gazania Rigens as per her log.GR and I do love a botanic garden and have visited many around the world. This one certainly does not disappoint! We very much enjoyed going up and down and threading in and out admiring the plants, the trees, the birds and the views, collecting the answers on the way. GR has sent these for both of us.Oh my goodness so many of the trees in Australia are so wonderful, so sculptural, so various - despite so many being Eucalypts. And of course in this garden there are truly impressive trees from all over the world, so my cup runneth over! Thank you for setting this cache. FP awarded.
I've been wanting to visit these gardens for many years and enjoyed our walk through the different areas. The succulent collection was especially impressive, as were many of the old trees. Hopefully we've answered all the questions correctly; I've sent them for both Zouave and myself. FP and TFTC!
Four Swedish ladies walking around in Sydney found this beautiful park full of trees, flowers, birds and historia. Answer is send for all of us from tigertassen. Thank you.
We are four ladies from Sweden who are visiting Australia and New Zeeland We are logged as TULP The answer is sent This was one of the caches we found Thanks from Sweden
Four ladies from Sweden (Tigertassen, ursus67, Lnganfans, pidjas) are visiting Australia. This day we took a long walk as the days before, more than 15 km. We mostly log as TULP. This was one of the places we visited. We spent quite some time in the park.Answers sent by Tigertassen.A big thank you to the CO for this cache.
It took us two days to finnish... Answers are sent for the 4 of usFavorite D var det dags fr lite ventyr. Hlsningar frn Sverige, sdra Lappland Then it was time for a little adventure. The trip goes to Sydney in Australia and then on to Christchurch and Dunedin in New Zealand .On the trip are, Tigertassen, myself, ursus67, Lnganfans and Pidjas go, which means that we log under the common name "Tulp". The idea is that before we go home we should have visited a Megaevent, Geo Toroa. Greetings from Sweden, southern Lapland
We spend a few days in Sydney and enjoy the city with its unique sights, buildings and parks. We also search for and create caches, virtual and lab caches. This takes us to places we would not have visited otherwise. The caches are in very good condition and the hints helpful and they were all dry and there was still enough space for the next cachers. On our Tour we was able to made the Virtual. So we enjoy this aera. The botanical garden was really great. But for this long Virtual the D-rating could be higher!!The answers are send!!!Many thanks and greetings from the Moorhelmi
I had a 9 hr layover at Sydney today, so I headed downtown to stroll thru the city. Overall I was able to find 8 caches and several lab caches. An amazing day, I couldnt have spent it better. The virtual was perfect for spending some time between flights and exploring the gardens. The weather was perfect and I encountered a lot of feathered friends along the way. At some stages it took a while to find the right answer but the challenge was fun. Ill leave a FP for the great tour. Vielen Dank an AussiePam frs Legen und PflegenThanks to AussiePam for placing and maintaining this cache. Found on 25. Aug 2024 08:59 as cache # 6244TFTCleollDiscover me! FGXRFV
Nice virtual cache or tour in a very beautiful botanic garden of Sydney. Perfect
After a trip to the suburbs for a very old cache, I got the bus back to the city to pick off a few outstanding caches from my target list. This was the first as I had begun it yesterday prior to my event. It was a lovely way to see some of the huge variety of plants in the Botanical Gardens, as well as some of the wildlife that lives here. Most of the answers were found easily enough; one was a little tricky to locate & one I couldn't find at all, although I was able to provide a decent answer based on other information available. The CO, who I was lucky enough to meet at my event, has kindly approved my answers.Found at 16:37Cache #10471TFTC AussiePam
With a few hours to kill whilst in town for a work conference, I decided to go for a walk to find several caches including this one. Really enjoyed the walk around the gardens and just managed it before the gates closed! TFTC!Cheers,The Hancock Clan
A nice walk around the botanic gardens today. Must of the answers were gained easily - we had to wait for a wedding to finish near the sundial! - and they have been sent to the CO.Thanks for an interesting virtual!
Bisoutje and I have spent another day at the Sydney Harbour and the Royal Botanical gardens next door. We've explored the area at night but during the day these walks are just as beautiful. Many photos were took which is usually an indication of a day well spent. We saw all ins and outs of the garden with the help of this tour and the WP's to guide us. Some answers required a longer search than others. In the end we only missed 1 answer (European settlers) but I think I managed to produce an answer myself that makes sense.Thank you for creating this lovely tour around the gardens. It kept us busy for several hours. I happily add a fav point.TFTC!
Visiting Sydney with my brother! Thanks for making my journey more interesting! We had a nice walk through all the waypoints! Thank you very much making this tour possible!
Alas I allowed 2 hours to do this one after getting to Sydney. However after doing the 3 far locations a jeep came and was shooing everyone out as it was closing at 4 pm today
Found whilst in Sydney for GWS v Bulldogs yesterday, a very successful weekend if I do say so myself! Sent my answers to the CO and have uploaded a photo at Orient Garden, let me know if there are issues with my answers (I have also brought up my concern that the answer for Waypoint 4 may be missing). Will edit or delete my log if needed. Lovely walk in the gardens on a sunny day with barely any clouds. Interesting locations, some took longer than others to answer but it was a leisurely walk nonetheless. TFTC!
I was in the Botanical Gardens a couple of days ago. In the pouring rain. I was trying to complete this virtual and the multi. My phone wasn't happy. I was soaking wet. And I finally gave up and dragged myself back to my motel. Today was the day I would redeem myself. Of course, I needed stages that really weren't near each other but at least the weather was nice today. All answers have been sent to the CO. Thank you for the smiley and the fun!The day:I was visiting from the U.S. and had just completed my goal of driving all the way up the east coast starting in Melbourne and ending in Port Douglas over a few weeks. I arrived in Sydney five days ago as the last stop before heading home. I was sad that my adventure was coming to an end, but I was looking forward to spending one more day exploring Sydney before leaving. I walked a lot of steps, found a lot of caches, and was particularly happy to finish the cache I started in the pouring down rain. It was a fabulous final day ending with some amazing ramen at Gumshara in Chinatown. I'll miss Australia when I leave tomorrow. Many thanks to all the geocachers who placed and continue to maintain their geocaches for folks like me to find. I know it's not always easy, but I do appreciate you.
Day 20 of our roadtrip in Australia. We're in Sydney now, so no road tripping the next days, instead a lot of walking. There's so much to see here! And what we love so far, a lot of the caches have very precise hints, very tourist friendly. Today's plan is the Opera guided tour and the Botanical Gardens. We hope of course that the rain forecasted will not come. We had planned to visit the gardens anyways. At fiest thought this virtual to complicated, but in fact it's like a guided tour through the gardens! A lot of fun. Had to stop in the cafe for a pause as it was raining cats and dogs, but afterwards it was fine. Thanks and kind regards from Switzerland, Hinni&Simo
Collected the answers over a few visits to the Botanic Gardens on some fine summer days. Thanks AussiePam for a nice tour of these grand gardens. I discovered a few trees which I did not know much about.
**XX** MMMMMMMMXXVI: Spent a very hot Leap Day in Sydney geocaching. Quite the journey around the Royal Botanic Gardens. Answers sent. TFTC
Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand, starting with a stopover in Doha, Qatar. I have never been so long and so far away from home. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. But also, of course, especially the geocaches that were easily accessible on foot from the hotel.Of course, the focus wasn't just on geocaching; the sights of the individual stations we visited also deserved attention. We entered our team name Downunder 2024 in the logbooks, saving logbook space and efficiently. It was a very special trip in a large team, which was also a lot of fun.Today we visited the areas around Sydney.Due to the large number of caches, there is usually only one standard log, for which I would like to apologize to the different owners. Thanks for this geocache. Thanks for the elaboration. Thank you for showing me.Kind regards from Duisburg / GermanyAndyThis log entry is translated with the help of Google.
We have traveled with 36 likeminded geocachers to Australia and New Zealand resulting in lots of opportunities for sightseeing and geocaching. The logbooks were mostly signed under the teamname "Team DownUnder24" and answers were sent to owners for the group, as appropriate. This has been a great trip with a multifold of new impressions and experiences.During our stay in Sydney we had also the opportunity to visit some caches. This cache was also among our finds today. Thanks for leading us here and showing and thanks for the cache.

Second day in Australia . This is my first visit to this extraordinary continent and the fulfillment of a long-cherished dream. In the past, it always failed due to the lack of a travel companion. Now I had the chance to join a large group of mainly German geocachers and I was delighted to take it. I used my walk through the botanical garden to walk through the stations of this virtual one. A beautiful site. I can't decide what I liked best. I saw such beautiful porcelain in the souvenir store. But I didn't buy anything because I was afraid it would break on the onward journey. I made notes on the questions. Only with no. 4 I couldn't find anything suitable and had to guess. I personally think this elaborate ghost is underrated, but that's a matter of taste. In any case, I'm awarding a favorite point here. I sent the answers to the owner via Message Center. The log release came promptly.Thank you for laying & taking care .Zweiter Tag in Australien .
After a while, it was finally time to visit some caches in distant countries again. This time the destination should be australia ???? and new zealand ???? What an amazing continent. Found this cache on a 24-day trip to Australia and New Zealand with a night of stopover in Qatar. In Qatar we have an evening and almost a full day of geocaching before we take the long flight to Downunder. In Australia we will visit the citys of Sydney, Melbourne, Aidelaide and Cairns. Our stays in New Zealand will be in Aukland, Rotorua, Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Dunedin and Queenstown. For me the focus will be on old caches, placed in 2000 and obviously on the remaining webcams in Australia and New Zealand. We are a group of 38 Geocachers from Germany, Denmark and Luxembourg. At geocaches that we visit as a group, we sign the logbooks with our team-name "Team DownUnder24" to safe the owners a lot of space in the logbooks. After a long walk and some guessing and research on the stage 4 question we finally got all the answers. But we were so wasted after the rain and walking yesterday and we took uber back to the hotel so I could take the picture only today.Merci frs Dosal sogt da GoanToni Thanks to AussiePam for hiding and maintaining this geocache.
2. Tag in Sydney. Greetings from Germany.

During a long-awaited stay in Sydney, the Botanic Gardens were also visited. This virtual cache "The Royal Botanic Gardens - Sydney" and its stations were selected for this tour. Most of the answers were found very quickly. For some, it tooks a little bit longer. All in all, it was the beautiful tour we had hoped for in a wonderful park that many tourists and locals use extensively. It was fun to look around in the botanical garden. We sent the answers to the owner. Just a few hours later, we received the positive response. ??Thanks AussiePam for showing this beautiful park??
Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.

When I first saw the dozen tasks for this one I dismissed it and didn't believe mrs c would be keen. But back again today a few days later and we enjoyed our guided tour of features of the park, and lunch near the eco centre too. All followed up by a free tour of Government House. Very interesting way to spend a few hours. Great cache here, well put together, thanks. Answers have been sent and accepted, appreciate the quick response.Another early start to grab a few finds before breakfast, but nothing like the last few mornings so just a few Train themed Traditionals for my (modest) Sidetracked collection of finds. All was good and thanks to the CO for his finds today. Later we headed out together to the Botanical Gardens and grab a few modest number of finds. This is our last full day in Sydney, and it has been a thoroughly enjoyable and beautiful place to visit.
So many beautiful places in this botanic garden. You could stroll around here for ever.Thank you for that. I really wish I could come back but sweden is far away.Fourleftfeet from sweden
Jimmy and Goldy are staying in Sydney for a few days. We are grabbing some caches but mostly just sightseeing. The only one I wasn't leaving without was Lane Cove (GC3E) as it is Australia's oldest cache.I love virtual caches and so my second priority was finding as many virtuals as I can during our stay.Today was the first full day of our trip.We had a late night last night as our flight was stuck on the tarmac in Adelaide. We sat there for 1 hour and 45 minutes due to technical issues onboard. We ended up getting to our accommodation at 12:30AM, so we had a chill day today as we are very tired! We explored all the main attractions, did some shopping and found some caches.Jimmy and I had just had lunch and decided to go do different things. Of course, that meant I was going caching.I came straight here. I walked around and got all the info. I loved the walk! I enjoyed the succulent garden, the rose garden and the pond. I learnt the eels slither into the pond and eat the ducklings. What on earth is that all about?I sent my Mum (who loves succulents) a video of the succulent garden here. Including the massive spider that had created a web nearby. I accidentally touched the web during the video, resulting in some interesting words being said by me. Words not safe for geocache logs. Oops. I had a good time here. It was good to explore an area I didn't know existed and to learn lots about it. Thanks for bringing me here!Answers sent to CO. A favourite point allocated. Thanks AussiePam for this virtual cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3943 on the 2nd of February 2024.

On a 10-days tourist trip in Australia. Before the trip home, we stopped for a few days in Sydney. This morning I did a walking tour in the Royal Botanic Gardens.
Visiting Australia and New Zealand has been on our bucket list forever. After three cancellations for Covid we are thrilled to finally be here. We arrived this morning via The Ovation of the Seas. It's turn around day for the crew and us as we continue on for a few more cruises. The morning began with a light sprinkle but turned into a glorious, warm spring day. We couldn't wait to explore and cache around the Sydney Opera House and the Botanical Gardens today. Wow, what a wonderful tour of the gardens as we reached each waypoint, collecting the needed info. We loved seeing some new birds, as well as flowers / plants. Our answers have been sent via the message system and we appreciate the CO developing this excellent virtual cache that earns a blue ribbon from us. Thanks for adding to our adventures today, Nukeworker and Racquetball Girl, Arkansas, USA

This was such a beautiful placement of a virtual. It required some time and commitment to make our way through each waypoint , however, each of these stops presented us with some new information and another beautiful perspective of this Gardens.Over the years, we have visited the gardens many times, but have never stopped in such find details and today we explored for a couple of hours. We have sent answers to the CO, and say a big thanks AussiePam for our adventure today. Lots of work has gone into the placement of this one. All answers easy to find. A FP added. Thanks Domsky

Day 4: Botanical Gardens - Domain - Central Station
The Grand Tour of Sydney continues in two parts today, starting with the partner for a nice stroll around the Gardens to Yurong Point and back, followed by an impromptu caching team-up with Irishalan to find a few caches in Hyde Park. Finally, the day ended with a short caching walk around the Central station area. Another beautiful day in Sydney, so all is well in this wonderful place
(End of the cut and paste bit)
Wow wow wow! What a virtual! This was a pretty long one but the distances involved were short and the gardens were exquisite. I really enjoyed the wander round and so did the partner, who was happy to tag along and look at the birds and plants. Thanks for this little tour, it was a good one and the weather was perfect too. Answers have been approved so here’s the log. Thanks for the virtual!

And so I also found The Royal Botanic Gardens - Sydney and converted into a smiley.

Its been such a long time since I was in this area I'm not even sure if I've been through the Gardens, I certainly don't recall if I have. Today we visited many places and I've certainly seen it now. The WP ordering makes a lot of sense and was good to follow.
It was a last minute decision to spend the weekend in Sydney for a few days of caching, and pleased I did. An early start to the day was just the thing as the quiet streets vacant of many people, later turned to packed and busy but the weather was kind and it was great Flintstones could join me for the day. We walked to my feet complained and my phone died of low battery but it was great visiting many places I had never been to. Loved exploring the old rows with the charming buildings, it was full of many new discoveries. A rescue of a battery pack had us back off again and a very full and fun day around some great locations in the centre of Sydney.
Thank you for your cache AussiePam

We'll have to admit that we had never been too fussed about walking around any Gardens. However, with some more purpose in doing so, this cache has made it quite interesting to explore the different sections of the Royal Botanic Gardens. Thank you AussiePam for making us have an enjoyable tour.
We are visiting Australia from Florida, USA for a multi-week vacation which will have us visiting two states in Australia (Tasmania and the ACT) we missed in 2014 followed by 28 days on the Ovation of the Seas including New Zealand and a Transpacific to Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.
Today was our second day in Sydney, originally it was going to be a walk around Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera House and Botanical Gardens areas, however we ended up expanding our walk to 13+ miles (21 kms). After returning to Circular Quay, we decided to have a couple of cold ones and split some Fish & Chips while deciding what to do next, turns out it was a good decision as it started to rain heavily while we were eating. Fortified with good beer and food we ventured out for more caching and sightseeing before checking out the Fortune of War Pub.
It was a good caching day with 6 Virtual caches, 5 Earthcaches, 26 Adventure Lab stages, 4 multicaches and some traditional caches for good measure.
What a great way to see the gardens, thanks for having us visit, email on the way. tftc!!

This place is huge. I headed for the art gallery seeing it was raining. I then though that a quick dash into the gardens to grab the virtual would be a good idea. Luckily there is always time for one more. Needless to say I had a fun time racing around the gardens gathering pictures trying not to backtrack and praying that I could keep track of all the ways in my head and not miss one.
Started at the listed coords and went anticlockwise along the way. I was lucky not to end up getting married along the way!

I had some time on my hands today and decided to try this virtual, since it would also give me a good tour of the gardens. I managed to find the needed information at all the waypoints, and have just sent all the answers in to the CO and am proceeding with this log ahead of any reply. Hopefully it’s all good but otherwise I’m of course happy to elaborate further on my answers.
A big thank you to AussiePam for creating and maintaining this geocache, so that the rest of us can entertain our hobby.

What a gorgeous park. We spent half a day here today and couldn't stop being amazed. The cache was a good guide. Thank you and greetings from Germany.
We had a few hours in Sydney CBD today so took a walk through the botanical gardens. Really nice to explore the different areas the gardens has to offer.

An early morning visit to the city today before it gets too hot and humid ... supposed to get into the 30's today.
I visited most of the waypoints for this one when I came into the city late last year for a Christmas lunch. Somehow, I managed to lose the answers I found then, so upon my return today, I had to visit all the waypoints again ... not that that was a problem because a walk around the Gardens is almost always fun. Now it's off to the Art Gallery for a Captain Cook at the new pavilion/s and of course to do the AL there
Thanks for a most enjoyable multi AussiePam.

Collected half the answers for this last year and finally had the opportunity to finish it off today. Thank you so much for the educational walkthrough.
