We went on tour with Pitsch Patsch. We chose the Rookwood Cemetery. There is a lot to discover here and it was interesting to explore the different areas. This cache was found after a little searching and our names were signed. Many thanks and greetings from the MoorhelmiTHE Container was full of water - but we are able to sign.
Well this cache was an unexpected extra for me today..... At the last minute, I had managed to secure leave from my job in NZ, to attend the GCLogan events in Brisbane starting this week, but the last minute direct flight fares were prohibitive. However, by transiting through Sydney with a 7 hour stopover, I managed to halve the cost. Hmmm........, what could I possibly achieve in four hours away from the airport.....??? Aussies oldest Multi, that's what.... With that important task completed, there was just enough time to collect a few trads and maybe the Ad Labs here in the Rookwood cemetery. Thx to Skyebo for picking me up and driving me around this morning. The cemetery is huge.This one was a nice quick find in the hint location. TFTC
On a flying visit to Sydney to catch up with my so. And to watch an AFL game, I popped out to grab a few caches to ti k some boxes on a few challenge caches Im working on back in Brisbane.Parked the car and was soon at ground zero where the cache was quickly spied, opened and log extracted. My mark was made for propsperity and the cache was safely returned.Off on the next adventure A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found by like minded cachers.Much appreciated Cheers
I see dead people. Found on the Mega Capital Geobash coastal loop via Adelaide - Barrington - coast to Mexico City loop. A lot of caches and white line fever was sweated out. Absolutely loved walking around this cemetery!Day 13 were now slowly heading Sydney before making our way to the Easter 2024 Canberra Geobash. Thanks Aussiebrian for placing this here, contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy.

Nice quick one. These ones in the cemetery are nice because parking isn't an issue.
After a visit to Featherdale wildlife park we stopped here on the way home.Quick and easy find.TFTC
Find number 12736 at 10:51:29am on Wednesday the 13 December 2023Time to use up a travel voucher before it expires on December 31 so I hatched a plan for a day trip to Sydney to do some LGA's and SideTracked geocaches. First flight out of Melbourne in the morning and last flight back in the evening, it turned out to be a long day, up a 3:30 and back home at half past midnight for a total of nineteen geocaches, thirteen SideTracked and nine LGA's

Naturally I arrived too early so I can do some geocaching first. One of several finds with TBs Canadian Flag, Swiss Duck, Pittiplatsch and Corona Express Cruise Ship in tow.
I'm in Sydney to attend a celebratory SideTracked event later in the day at Hornsby ... but came early to grab a couple more SideTracked finds, and to make a start on finding 8 different cache types to qualify for August's Wheel of Challenge souvenir.
A quick park & grab here ... I didn't even have to remove my phone from its holder in my geo-car.

I’m visiting from Brisbane and was keen to find the old multi and as many other caches as possible in Rookwood Cemetery. I ended up spending 6hrs here and walking many kms.
Didn’t take long to find but it’s not among the roots as the previous finder said. Tftc

I don't believe I have been in a cemetery anywhere near this size before. After finding #3 a short time earlier, I made an equally quick find at this site.
Another quick find, thanks Aussiebrian, we are very much enjoying the walk and adventure. First time I've ever sat and had a nibble to eat in a cemetery.

Out and about in Sydney finding a few Caches along the way. Asked a Security Guard where the the Time Capsule was and he had No Idea so I guess the cache is definitely safe here in it's hidey hole.

This morning I headed out to find a few caches near our accommodation in the Rockdale cemetery, didn’t realise how big this place actually is, managed to find most of them in this area.

I spent a few hours in Rookwood today and looked for some other caches besides the lab caches. I could find most of them. This was one of them.

Found With shano58, we came down by train from Newcastle, wanting to do all the caches in Rookwood, so had a very limited window to do this in to get back in a reasonable time,

After dropping my two daughters and one of their friends at DFO I headed to this remarkable cemetery. Almost 4 hours and almost 10ks later, I had completed two Ad Lab Cache Series and 11 other caches. Nice hide TFTC

Day really quite warm, was nice to have a little shade while signing this log.
Only one spot it could really be, and it was a quick recovery. Log signed and replaced. All in good condition and TFTC Aussiebrian
