Over the bay in Melbourne for a few days enjoying the multitude of caches on offer we concentrated on multis, labcaches and solved puzzles for this trip.Well we didnt reed it initially as silly us couldnt find the reading material, so a PAF was sent out. Once the answer came back we kicked ourselves as we had searched there but not quite the right angle lol Once seen, you cant unsee, nicely played. We headed to GZ to find the well themed cache after a quick search. Thanks OSHFAM for the multi placement, a favourite point added.
In the area doing the teenage taxi service and had time to hunt a cache and headed for this one. There were no muggles about when I got to the published coords so was able to hunt for the information. And hunt for the information. And hunt for the information. Finally spotted something and had the GZ coords in hand, very well done on how this one is done. Took the short drive to GZ where the cache was in hand quickly. Thanks to OSHFAM for this one, cleverly done and all in perfect condition.
Had a big search at WP1 got this one before eventually resorting to PAF to get the info. Came back another time for a big search at GZ with no luck at all.I was feeling confident today so decided to come back for another go and found it almost immediately! Not sure if there has been a change to vegetation but don't know how I didn't spot that last time. TFTC!

**Multi Find #457**
I needed a multi today as I worked my way towards qualifying for a particular challenge cache. I had no trouble finding the information I needed at the posted co-ords, but reading was another matter entirely. It could have been my ageing eyesight or the angle of the sun casting a shadow in just the wrong place, but my co-ords put GZ some 8.5km away. I knew that couldn't be right especially as satellite photos showed my GZ was in someone's living room. [:o)]
I tried a couple more numbers and found one combination that looked quite promising. I made my way there and looked around. I checked the attributes and then spotted an anomaly. Further investigation revealed the pre-form container. I was very glad to have found this cache because I wasn't 100 percent of my co-ords. A favourite point from me.
**Thank-you to OSHFAM for placing this geocache**

Found by Mary and David at 12:30. Are your ears burning. Our eyesight isn't what it used to be, so after searching for more than 20 minutes at the start, we fell back on a PAF. Not sure we'd ever have looked there, but eventually we found what we needed. A short drive, then a short walk, and an amazing hide appeared. You are forgiven, and earn a FP. Our thanks to OSHFAM.
I read everything but what I needed, to,
I searched everywhere but where I needed to.
I felt and climbed and crawled and just about gave up.
I wondered how sneaky OSHFAM was willing to get.
I found a phone number, was that part of the cache?
Hmm what about that poem?
I sat and pondered, I stood and pondered.
In the end, I caved, and PAF
Doh ...wow....with info in hand off I went to way point 2, no such torture at GZ just a typical OSHFAM high quality cache.
Psst I'm still kicking myself for not looking there.

We found this cache today on our Mordialloc to Edithvale Caching Expedition. We took so long to locate the info at WP1 the other day that we ran out of time to pick up the final due to needing to be somewhere else really soon after. That was rectified today and we located the nice hide at GZ. Thanks from D & H B-A
Found it , Back again for another go, this time with another set of eyes and a clue. Found what we needed and headed off to find an excellent crafted cache at gz. All in good order, log signed. Thanks for placing this amazing fun multi. Tftc
This cache was on my target list for two reasons, a good D/T rating and the excellent caches the CO tends to place in the wild. Given the rating, I read through some logs and knew the WP1 could be a challenge. I gave it a solid 25 mins before reaching out and asking for a clue. I was ready to head off for a walk when I got the answers to my questions, then a quick shifty back to WP1 - OMG I was so close to finding it!
I completed the calculations and then took a 10km detour to GZ. The 10km detour was of my own doing and not required. After reaching GZ, which happened to be in close proximity to the final of an interesting and challenging AdLab, I was slightly stumped. I looked in here and under there, all while trying to avoid several spiky bush spiders (Austracantha minax). After I was ready to give up, I had one more go to find the cache, and I found it! What a nice surprise and not at all what I was expecting!
Thanks for placing this short and interesting Multi, and adding some adventure to an otherwise uneventful walking tour of Edithvale Wetlands.

I'd just found WP1 of Battleship and I was confident that I was on the same wavelength as the CO in terms of how the WP1 coordinates would be hidden . . . nope, turns out I was not! It was pretty early on a Sunday morning so I had the place to myself. I searched for about 10 mins then shot the CO a PAF plea. I was round the corner at a mate's having woken her up for a morning cuppa, when the CO promptly replied. I'm not regularly out this way so I decided to pop back for another look. How did I miss that?! I was kicking myself that I didn't have a more thorough search the first time round - but really appreciated the CO's assistance. Off to GZ and I thought I knew what the hide would be . . . nope again! But luckily it didn't take too long to find. Like others, I spied it at just the right angle. A favourite for the challenge and the fun.

A good here. Numbers are clear and readable.
Cache in position, log book dry and half full.

Weather was nice so decided to walk for an exercise around the wetlands. Lucky not much floods around while walking then came to this multi and been searched for half hour so had to PAF. Gotcha…!!! Found the cache and love it. Fav for me. Thanks OSHFAM for placing this multi.
Dad is working toward a few challenges, including a “types and combinations” challenge for which this is really useful.
WP1 didn’t want to give up its secrets, and in desperation sought PAF.
In meantime I was joined by a muggle while in a very contorted position; not sure the gentleman believed I was doing “hot yoga”.
PAF was a big success, and the coordinates were found within seconds - yup too good for me!!
Took a little while and couple of laps of the GZ to find the well-concealed cache. TFTC

Identified the co-ordinates for GZ some weeks ago and was heading past today. Very appropriate and creative hide.
In the area on Mega business, we decided to come and give this one another looksie. The last time we were here, there were 8-legged monsters everywhere freaking me out.
Today, none to be seen. I wonder where they go in winter? I digress.
Only a few moments later, eagle-eyed RoamingHowie spotted the coords in a spot we'd not looked before.
Off to gz, and again RH spots the cache in the area I'd just been looking. How on earth did I miss that? I blame my torch.
Another nemesis turned into a smiley.

I was out in the area on some Mega business (well twice having had to return home after forgetting the required items before I left). It was now time for some DNF redemption! This was the second to redeem as we had two DNFs in a row on our last visit.
Today was going to be a good day however as we had spotted a travel bug on a moving car in the traffic nearby, and after taking a photo, we noticed it was the CO! It must be a sign!
Arriving at WP1 which caused us all sorts of bother on our previous attempt, we began the search. I finally managed to locate the coords in a spot I’m not sure I checked last time. My only question is, how? .
Off to GZ and the cache was found after the cache was initially overlooked on the first pass.
A tricky multi that earns a favourite point.
Thanks OSHFAM for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

We had been to the posted coordinates last week and not had any luck finding the info to calculate GZ. Today after a PAF we are back we a small nudge and within a few minutes we had the coordinates. A short drive brought us to GZ and the cache was quickly located. Nicely constructed hide. I should be back to the bird hide for a Knox U3A birding group visit. Thanks to OSHFAM for the challenge and cache.
Sitting in my car looking at the previous logs trying to hasten my find, all I could think of was “oh dear”, I’m in trouble here. So many cachers struggling with this one and needing to PAF or ask the CO for a clue.
Thanks to a rainy cold day, luck was on my side as I had the place to myself, allowing me the time to scour all over. After 20 minutes I went back to the place I started with and bingo. Why didn’t I look there first, or maybe I did and it didn’t register.
Not sure I would have been successful had there been muggles around.
Off to GZ and soon had the cache in hand. A favourite from me.

Found (eventually) with icw. We weren't having any success at WP1, so icw asked the CO for a hint. The reply had us looking in some of the places we had already searched. We kept coming back to something unusual and suddenly icw spotted the information.
I've visited these wetlands many times with binoculars and a spotting scope. Birds I have seen over the years include: Australasian bittern, Glossy ibis, Magpie geese, Whiskered terns and Clamorous reed-warblers. Tftc.

We arrived at WP1 with hopes high, but after a good half hour, things were looking grim. The CO was texted for help, and we abandoned this one and toddled off to another cache. Fortunately the CO was on the job and provided a hint, so we returned. The coordinates were found and so it was off to the final GZ. The hide is brilliant and eluded us for quite a while, until Muggle Husband looked at the correct angle. Both parts of this multi were a challenge. Brilliant.
Out for a drive with BoabTree and muggle husbands, we were doing a little caching in the Aspendale area. A lovely day with good weather and great company.
We searched at WP1 for quite a while before resorting to a PAF. We had moved on to another cache before getting a reply, so returned later, and with success moved on to GZ. Here another search began, which proved to be very rewarding after a while. Both WP1 and GZ were fabulous, and worthy of a favourite point. Thanks OSHFAM.

Out and about once again with Omegaman1971 for our regular weekend catch up and cache, to day we headed to an area where we both still had plenty to find and a few solved puzzles I was keen to pick up.
This is one of the caches found today. That was tricky but thankfully I got a few pointers.
Thanks OSHFAM for the cache.

On a rainy night I came to the first point thinking I will never get this. I can’t believe I found the hidden clue so easy. So off to GZ I went and then thinking again I will never find this, coming in from the right angle, I had a chuckle to myself as I thought what a great hide.
TFTC! Arrived at WP1 and we certainly enjoyed the view, and then got to work! We searched and searched and searched. To no avail, we stood back re assessed and started searching. For once we had a deadline as we had dinner reservations. Suddenly we reed the coordinate - and burst out laughing! Couldn’t believe we missed this one! Took us a good 25 minutes here. Made a quick find at the GZ. TFTC!
Catching up on my find for yesterday.
So having done some exercise in the area in the morning, PrezDough and I decided to make our way home and swing by and grab this multi. Well at least attempt it as the logs suggest that it’s quite a challenging find.
So having spent a good 20 mins in the WP1 zone, we struggled to find the hidden coordinates. Looking here, looking there and nothing seemed obvious. So a quick message to the CO announcing “help”. A tiny hint was granted but it just helped us focus in an area that we had already scrutinised. Then having looked from a different angle I noticed something that looked slightly out of place. And then Muggles arrived… errrgggh…! Fortunately they didn’t hang around too long and our attempts to be bird watchers probably didn’t cut it very well anyway.
So a quick photo allowed me to zoom in on the hidden coordinates and work out WP2 (or GZ for that matter).
Then it was back to the wheels and a short distance away, we made our way to GZ. It was located pretty easily considering how well it was hidden. The cache was hidden perfectly in an appropriate container for this location.
Our names soon entered and off we went.
The cache, container and log are in excellent condition as is the WP1 information.
I visited 5 TB.

What a fun multi with an incredibly cute final! Failed multiple times at WP1 and needed a hint from CO. Solved that one a few weeks ago and stopped by to make a relatively quick grab at the final today. Thank you -- a favourite point!
After spending the day eating rainbow coloured pancakes and exploring new parks with my niece I headed out south to join a couple of other caches on a night cache assault.
After completing the ad lab waypoint we set about searching this hide by torchlight. We searched everywhere (well obviously not everywhere) as we didn’t find the info that we needed. Will have to return again at some point and give it another go.

Despite a thorough search, no luck here (at wp1) this evening. Will return in daylight to search again.
I was working thru the AdLab and had read a fair bit about the Wetlands already.
I parked the deadly treadly at the adlab way point when someone from a car came up and said "are you a geocacher?"
Omegaman had started the multi and asked if I wanted to help look for the clue.
So off to the birdhide we went. Turned out I wasn't much help as he found it before me.
Collected the information and off to the final.
Nice hide, not what I was expecting.
Thanks, Robmc.

In the area with work and only had a limited amount of time, which this cache almost took it all. After searching high and low with no luck, I was soon joined by Robmc and the hunt was on again. Was just about to call it when I spotted the well concealed numbers.
Cheers for the cache.

After the Bletchley Crew Zoom with the CO I took a renewed interest in all my unsolved OSHFAM puzzles to take my mind off Battleship for a while . Although this is a multi, I'd heard it was a good one, so after work I joined the traffic heading out of town to Edithvale to see what the fuss was about. Arriving at the carpark I was glad to see there was no-one there. I strolled in and started looking. I looked up, I looked down, I looked around, and all the while I read a lot, but alas no joy. A couple came in so I headed back to my car. I will read the logs while they are here resume my hunt when they depart. This was a helpful strategy! I also re-read the clue and instructions.
Soon enough the couple left and I was back in the hide, this time sticking strictly to the clue / instructions. Oooh! There are coords here, accessible without prodding or removing anything. Love it! A quick stroll to GZ (Ok, I drove but it could have been a quick stroll) and I found the super cute cache. What fun! Thanks OSHFAM, indeed a good one!

Well Fleabag- had deserted me this weekend because he "had to go" to his work xmas party in Adelaide! Anyway, eventually after all my errands had finished for the day I still had a few hours of light so headed out with the lovely weather to look for a few caches by myself. It was pretty quiet everywhere, they must have all been at the shops for the Black Friday weekend sales.
I arrived here and spotted gmj3191 looking puzzled at his phone doing an adventure lab I had done last week so I helped him out to continue his quest on his very cool looking bike. Luckily he had done this cache so helped me out on the first stage and I was soon heading not too far away for another tree climb. This time a fair few ants but that was because I went too high up. Soon came back down and made the find. Very cute, a favourite from me.
Thanks OSHFAM for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I'd been meaning to try out this intriguing multi for some time now and recall having driven past it on a few occasions!
Luckily, with a location of the new Adventure Lab in the area taking us straight to WP1 of this multi, there were plenty of reasons to pay this cache a visit (I probably would've insisted on an attempt even without the AL!)
The journey to get here was quite entertaining in and of itself, as we found ourselves on the other side of the road walking this way when the trail there abruptly ended, leaving us with only muddy grass ahead.
The long-legged (not sure if that term's in common use, but I'll go with it) buhfuhguh gracefully skipped across the grimy rift in between us and the main trail where he went to collect the Astra and head over to the multi while I trudged my way by foot instead, not willing to risk a pair of damp socks in exchange for Astra convenience.
Now actually at the bird hide, I scoured the place without any muggles about in the hope of coming across something to read.
Some peculiar graffiti (a selection of which has been attached to this log) was available, but, disappointingly, the only numbers were ones to phone for some rather unsavoury services.
I personally preferred the more relevant "HELP ME !!!" but, alas, no numbers to be determined from that (and the CO doesn't strike me as the sort of individual to go and scribble on structures with a Sharpie!)
I decided to take a break and do the Adventure Lab location instead where I found buhfuhguh doing some intense reading of his own.
After overcoming some overcomplication, we determined the answer we needed for that before he subsequently came to my aid and narrowed down my search, which it turned out I'd been overcomplicating myself!
Not much more I can say here aside from the fact that it's insanely clever and I really shouldn't have expected anything less and I can't believe I didn't come across it earlier and please stop torturing me like this.
It's really good.
From there, we took a quick stop into gz and wandered over to the coordinates where it took me a while to discern what exactly it was I was looking for!
"Creative Camouflage" could describe pretty much any of the CO's hides and, as such, I admittedly got a bit of tunnel vision before quite literally standing underneath the cache, at which point buhfuhguh kindly put me out of my misery.
Another awesome creation here that I gladly signed the log of!
Thanks to OSHFAM for yet another brilliant placement that deserves a favourite point because *of course it does!*

**Found 14th November 10.30am**
**The Solve:** I think we visited the posted coords three times before we were given an almighty shove by the generous and helpful CO. We didn’t mind though, it’s a lovely place to sit and look out the hide if muggles come along. We even spotted a brown tree frog once.
**The Adventure:** We woke early because the weather report said it was going to turn rainy and windy after 11am. So we headed out to complete the newly minted Edithvale Wetlands A/L and have another go at this one. (One of the WPs of the A/L puts you right at the door of WP1 of this one!) I misread one of the digits which put us in the middle of a field behind a fence. Hmm I know this CO is tricky, but that doesn’t seem right? Luckily she messaged back quickly, pointing out my error. Correction made we were able to make a find due to pinpoint accuracy of the final coords. And a wonderful surprise of the beautifully constructed container with a lovely resident.
Thanks OSHFAM for all the hardwork and effort you put into your hides and geocaches. You really do enrich this game for our enjoyment. FP for this one. Cache on

The coordinates are there. Just keep looking.
My son added a joke to the finale cache.

Wow tftc! Took us a couple tries but we got it on a morning walk! Didn’t have a pen to sign but awesome cache! Thanks
It is with great satisfaction that we log this cache today!! Nearly 12 months ago we logged this one as a DNF. We’d been caching for a matter of weeks when we decided to tackle this one since it was our closest cache. How naive we were to think we could solve it. We’re told to “read it”. How hard could it be??!! I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve sat in that bird hide just waiting for the answer to magically jump out at me!! Geohusband thought he’d have it in an instant. Nope. Finally, about a week ago, those coordinates finally revealed themselves ready to find GZ. The elation!!! Only to go to GZ some days later and leave empty handed. What????!!! That’s supposed to be the easy bit. Took geohusband second time. Still no cache in hand. Despondent at not being able to find this darned thing I admitted some defeat and messaged the CO. I’m very grateful for the clue but also disappointed not to have found it with my own eagle eyes. Went back, and there it was as expected. Perfect camouflage. Too good for us perhaps!! Previous attempts had seen a huge amount of undergrowth and tree debris at GZ. Had we let this hold us back? Undergrowth should never hold back a good cacher though. No matter. Today was the day. Proudly signed that log with the geokids. Thanks OSHFAM for your cache, your help and the lovely online chat!! Your caches are superb.

Well, I may have ended up hanging around in that shelter for up to an hour searching for what was required. A few boys on bikes dropped by but didn't stay long. I could see a lot of things. Graffiti, writing, rubbish, cobwebs, so many cobwebs. And yes reeds, but I don't think they were going to help me.
Gee was I sick and tired of looking. I think I had run my eyes over nearly every inch of the viewable side of the platform. Something must have lead my eyes to a different area and perhaps what was preventing me spotting the information was a small object obstructing the small space. Behind that object I could see something odd that I was curious about. Whether it was put there deliberately or not, I don't know. I removed it.
And there, in probably the last place anyone would think to look, were some coordinates. A little tricky to make out a couple of the numbers now, so I had to seek confirmation from the CO but the ones I had punched in seemed to be good, so off I went. A man appeared to be living in his van in the little car park and I wandered off towards GZ. I could see something unusual on approach and the cache was quickly found, unlike WP1! Turned out one of my numbers was misread and incorrect but luckily it didn't detract me away from GZ much.
A nice cute cache to finish off a rather challenging multi. My thanks to OSHFAM.

With no work for me on Mondays, it gave me some time to clear up some long time solved puzzles as well as avenging some DNF's from the past. It was a beautiful summers day, so why not?
Almost time to start heading home but there is always time for just one more right? Loved the hide!
Thanks to OSHFAM for the cache.

After our disastrous last attempt where we walked away with our tails between our legs, today was a different story. Armed with a clue for WP1, the information was immediately spotted in a place I’m sure Steve & I both checked on our previous visit. We’ll blame cache blindness, although it sure blends into its environment nicely.
At GZ we thought we maybe in for a long haul, however, to our absolute surprise, we found the very creative cache in no time. Signed the log and added a little more camouflage, then with a spring in our step, headed for home.
Thanks OSHFAM for a really great, well constructed multi. A favourite from us.

This one was a bit of a struggle for me, taking 2 separate visits over the years. But arriving today and searching for a while I eventually gave in and asked for help.
Eugh why didn't I think of looking there.
With coords in hand I was off to the cache.
And once again my ability of being blind struck again. And after an extended look a group of muggles arrived and I had to move on for now.
A later visit today and the cache was soon in hand.
Thanks for the cache and the little adventure.

Second visit to WP1 and completely different to my first visit a year ago. Then it was stinking hot and I was glad for some shade at WP1 where I spent an hour looking and finding nothing. This visit, it was bucketing down with rain and if I didn't know that WP1 had a roof I wouldn't have stopped.
After 5 minutes I was fortunate enough to see an unusual looking spider web. I have heard the CO has a fear of spiders and wondered if the CO would do that. Nope, but after removing the real spider web, I could see the coordinates behind it. I then thought my luck had changed and the rain even stopped for me.
I struggled to read 2 numbers but looking on Google Maps it was obvious what 1 number had to be. With the rain still holding off, it was time for some photos and then it was off to the GZ. However that was when I realised that Lady Luck was just playing with me. My GZ was in the middle of a clearing with bushes surrounding me.
30 minutes later, after searching all the surrounding bushes, I was giving up with the clouds massing again. But instead I sent a message to the CO. Fortunately Lady Luck and the CO took pity on me and the CO responded quickly with the correct number for the last minute of South. After about 10 minutes, and 5 more spiders were whipped off, the CO gave me a clue and the well hidden geocache was found.

Wow!! This one is hard. Not even sure I have the right idea from WP1! Will try again another day.
Wow, took longer than expected but. First cache. Probably shoulda tried an easier one. Very well done. Frustration WP1 but worth every pain staking hour.
This took absolutely ages and after a while I did resort to a PAF. Once that was done the co-ords were found, but wow, that is difficult. The final hide was nice too. TFTC!
Wow, what a cache oshfam. Took me several attempts to find what I needed, went back a second time and finally got the clues to get to the next stage.
On arriving at the final GZ, I found a cute well designed cache. Thanks for the brain stretcher oshfam.

I have noticed a number of you if not most, have taken more than 1 visit here and PAF's to find WP1. It has also been suggested to me by some that the Difficulty Rating here needs to increase.
Therefore, I have increased the Difficulty from 2.5 to 4.
Difficulty 4 involves several visits, a mental challenge and some time spent at GZ looking and PAF's to gain some hints. I did consider 3.5 but the multi visits is what go it to a 4.

I have visited this wetland several times over the years as it is a well known birdwatching location. The other bird hide is further into the wetlands and has a better view of them and a better range of birds. It took us ages to find what we needed to find the final cache location. I considered ringing the CO , but rang a previous finder instead. His memory wasn’t completely accurate, but it was enough for me to find it! Then we were off to the other car park and a short walk to GZ where a short search revealed a beautifully constructed cache with a cute, appropriately themed resident. Favourite point worthy indeed.
Found plenty of birds at waypoint one but really struggled to find what was needed.
Another couple of cachers turned up and with one of them already knowing where it was took great delight in watching the rest of us struggle. Eventually a few clues were given and the evil hide was found.
Cute GZ for the final. Great camo.

Out for arvo of caching, checking out the nominations. Great multi and great spotting of the first waypoint after a through search and great spotting of the birds!! Tftc
Today we found Reed It on our travels. We have had a go at figuring this one out previously but on that occasion we had so many people coming and going (wondering what the hell we were doing no doubt) while we acted “normal”...well for us anyway! As well as how muggly it was our geohound decided standing around was boring and started complaining, loudly. We threw in the towel at that point deciding a bird hide and a dog was prob not the best idea of the day! Today we returned without the whiney dog and our eyes on and brains ready to think a bit more like OSHFAM and the aha moment practically slapped us! We then went for a wander to put our names in the log! Had a bit of a giggle when we saw it, noice!
Thanks OSHFAM for being part of our geocaching fun.

Great multi, a challenge at the posted coordinates and just lucky I had time to study. Finished off with an excellent container appropriately designed for the environment.

This cache sounded intriguing so I thought I'd give it a go. My buddy and I spent a good 20 minutes figuring out what was needed and searching. I even found myself under the bird hide and did not bring the right shoes for that! I didn't see anything that would lead me to the cache, so we were on our way. Thanky anyway OSHFAM.
I was passing again and thought I'd have another look at the starting WP here. It's a pleasant place regardless of geocaching matters and it's a whole seven months since I was last here, astoundingly. My newish phone seemed to know what was what today. When I finally turned my attention to the GPS app after an extended text-based conversation (with a geocacher, oddly enough) it suggested that what I was looking for was a matter of centimeters away. And moments later I saw that that was indeed the case! I certainly should have seen that back in winter! Maybe my correspondent transmitted good vibes in some way, despite being oblivious to this particular multi.
The cache itself, as in the log receptacle, was found mercifully swiftly despite being quite convincingly camouflaged. Which is always nice. At some point I'll have to contribute a favourite point, at the very least because the placement of actual physical stuff at preliminary multi waypoints remains fairly rare in (daylight) multis and is always appreciated. Thanks OSHFAM!

The third cache of the day. I eventually read the coordinates for the second stage. It took a while. Once at GZ, a quick find was made! Thanks for placing the cache OSHFAM, and for making it an interesting multi.
Maintenance Check:
All functioning very well here. I think I finally achieved some level of “muggle proof” at WP1.
The reeds are so green and tall now it’s warmer weather. There is a blanket of tall green grass out on the water looking out from the bird hide. There should be more green spaces like this dedicated to our concrete urban jungles.
Take 5 mins to take in the view here and do some duck or bird spotting.

Like a couple of others I took an initial pass at this one and failed to find the necessary information. After having PAF'd I drove away vowing to come back and resume the hunt armed with further information.
Today was the day but lo and behold a couple of archery enthusiasts were shooting the breeze. I was here and was determined to find the information so I resolved to wait them out. So I opened an e-book app and proceeded to read. 40 dense pages of text later after having also heard about various archers, feats of archery and the divorce of one of the conversationalists both decided to decamp to their cars. I was quite content to read on what with the cool breeze blowing, a seat and plenty of shade from the sun. Oh well, nothing for it but to search for the needed information.
After a couple of minutes something caught my eye. Armed with the information I proceeded to drive to the next car park. After a short walk I eventually spied the cache.
A bit of effort and expense has gone into this one. I think that deserves a FP.

Ooh, an OSHFAM cache. Our first. Steve, myself and our rent-a-dog for a week made it to location 1, and from there it all went downhill. We READ, REED everything we could see, unfortunately just not the information to get us to GZ. One of the volunteers from this establishment turned up, and by this stage, with nothing to lose, I asked the question ‘Have you ever heard about Geocaching?’ My smile said it all when his response was yes. Not above getting inside information by this stage, I started explaining what we were doing, then the all so familiar glaze came across his face. We were on our own. This lovely man so wanted to help us though, taking me to a couple of signs at the entrance of the car park, even though I was sort of trying to explain about the GPS coordinates. I had a thorough search for his benefit, then we went our separate ways.
It’s a toughie OSHFAM. Will have another go when we are back in the area. Thanks

Quick check here as we were driving past and with its recent vandalism it was good to check on the new measures put in place here.
WP 1 : all good
You just have to use your eyes here. No need to remove, pull, prod or climb anything.
The reeds have really grown tall and green here. Beautiful sight.
WP 2 : all good. Camo holding up well. Logbook dry.

This one has been done in 3 stages. First time aDNF at WP1, then a couple of weeks ago whilst riding past , I made that discovery. Today Geo wife and I stopped to grab the final.
A nicely crafted cache that is worthy of a favourite point.
Well done.

I came by the posted coordinates last week but struggled to make the find. As I was just about to run out of time I availed of the help of a PAF and was given enough guidance to spot the cleverly hidden coordinates that I had missed. Passing by again today I was able to park nearby and go directly to GZ. I timed in once again in the fading evening light and that didn't make things any easier for me. At one target I surprised myself and a possum but I kept at it and finally spotted something very well camouflaged but looking slightly out of place. Closer examination revealed the cache and I was pleased to add my name to the log. After a few finds earlier in the day this was my fifteenth and final find of the day. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for a very well thought out and constructed multi cache OSHFAM. This one earns a favourite point from me.
After tending to my nearby caches I thought I would take a walk to to give this cache a go. After reading the previous logs I wasn’t feeling confident but thought I would go and have a look. I estimate it took about 20 minutes of looking around the bird hide as well as at the swans before I found the very cleverly hidden coordinates. I was pretty stoked. I then continued my walk to GZ to find a well constructed cache container. A favourite point from me today for the idea and effort made in putting this cache together. Didn’t quite get home before the rain pelted down so got a bit wet. TFTC
Found your cache today. Very sneaky to find WP1. Been searched for this nearly half an hour next WP2 got it. Fav from me OSHFAM, thank you so much for placing it.
I was unable to find this one today.searched everywhere and can’t find anything Thanks for the hunt OSHFAM
Sadly couldn't progress at WP1. We had the area to ourselves and still after 25 minutes nothing . I notice other cacher ask for help. I will put a watch on this one.
Thanks OSHFAM

On a very cold and wet Sunday afternoon, we decided that this would be a good cache to attempt. We were cautious as we had read some of the previous logs. We brought along an extra pair of eyes as the little Chiefton decided to join us on this hunt.
At WP1, we started our search. Looking high and low, and in and out, and in between and below and above. And sure enough, there it was.
Then off to WP2. At GZ, we saw an interesting item. Yep! There it is. TFTC OSHFAM.

Hmmmm.... Getting these coordinates is really throwing me, I had one idea about how to come up with them, but a message to the CO confirmed I was going down a (wrong) rabbit hole.
CO has been very helpful and prompt in replying, but sadly ran out of time today.

Groundspeak reckons this is a local cache I should find this month, so I devoted a few more minutes to it while passing the starting coordinates. Nothing came to light in the time had to spare. Thanks OSHFAM!
