(10192) Came up to Auckland with Itchyfeet2020 to primarily get the Crayola series. Second day and it has dawned a much better day with no rain about. Got a few others as well. Solved these 5 years ago and finally going for them. Signed the log as McItchy. Thanks kiwicouple for taking the time to place the cache and for bringing me here.

Day 2 of my visit to the big smoke with Mr-Mcgoo for a Crayola coloured crayon adventure. I can't recall when I originally solved all of these - ages ago, but I love these puzzles and a nice long list was a fun goal. Great to finally years later visit all the locations revealed on my screen so long ago. Our joint caching name for the logs was Mc Itchy. TFTC and fun series kiwicouple.

I have an afternoon caching in and around Pukekohe and whilst some more of the Crayola series are in my sights theres also some trads to collect along the way. A quick find here. I recalled this neat camo from a previous delve into the crayon box. Thanks kiwicouple#5381Logged using Cachly.

We planned a few days visit to Auckland for two reasons; our last two North Island CANZ caches, and the Crayola series which we had solved several years ago. Unfortunately we didnt think to bring caching supplies (eg extra log sheets) with us.We are back for our second day of the crayola series today. Yesterday we managed to find all 40 of the caches we looked for; we werent so successful today, and we also had more traffic and muggles to contend with, being closer to town. This was #4 for the day, solved in 2020. As per previous logs, we found the cache on the other side of the road from where the coords were taking us. There was no camo and the cache was missing its lid, but the log was ok. We signed and replaced as found. Before we located the cache, a local stopped her vehicle to check us out, citing security concerns. She seemed happy when we explained what we were doing. Thanks for the puzzle and cache, kiwicouple!

Cachehilsen fra Ellen Sch, NorgeMe and MrVon sr have come down to Australia and New Zealand, -an old dream has finally come to an end. Team Eika and Ingsve have also traveled with us on this trip.We have been traveling cross-country for a month, and the goal is to end up in Adeleide and mega-event on the leap year. We have especially looked for old caches, to fill jasmer'n, for a couple of pieces, and for the other two of us who have started to think about reviewing more. The vast majority of them showed up at their places, sometimes we had to search a bit, but we were usually lucky in the end. There were also some DNFs.We have mostly logged in with the common nickname N4 (ingsve, Von sr. TeamEika and Ellen Sch), but our own nicknames are also used.A big thank you to all you CO's for laying out and maintaining your caches. Without their work, we would never have been able to make a living with this hobby.Always nice to have a new smiley face on the map.Cache greetings from Ellen Sch, Norway

As a once in a lifetime holiday, this year we are traveling for 7 weeks to Vietnam, Bali, Australia and New Zealand. In Australia we meet Ellen Sch and MrVon sr and Ingsve to visit these last two countries, so here we cache together. We signed the log with N4. Now we have solved many caches so we have a large number of solved coordinates. But we are interested in all types of caches, so if you receive a log, it means that we have visited your cache. We haven't quite decided where we're going, but we'll probably let the weather decide for us. We want warmth because in Norway it is now freezing. We will stay for about 2 weeks in Australia and 2 weeks in New Zealand and we will end the trip with the Mega event in Adeleide on 29 February. So thank you very much to all of you who make it possible for us to travel around finding caches. On March 6, we set course for Norway again. There are extremely nice people everywhere and we are welcomed, we thank you very much. Thanks to our cache friends for good company on the trip.

EnglishWe are six Norwegians on a trip to Australia and New Zealand. We arrived in Melbourne at the beginning of February and are traveling home after the mega event in Adelaide. We travel by car and Geocaching helps us discover many nice places and often helps to decide where we choose the route between our goals which are: Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Dunedeen, and Adelaide. This is one of the caches we found on the trip and we thank you for showing us this place. We who are on tour have the nicknames: MrVonsr, ingsve, EllenSch and TeamEika. Years after solving these puzzles we finally ventured north in search of the rainbow of colours. Although it It was not supposed to rain our day started with light drizzle which luckily cleared by late morning. Thanks for an enjoyable series of caches, we always enjoy caching around rural areas.Yet another secluded and secure area TFTC.

Matagouri and I found ourselves with a bit of free time before 'house sitting ' duties called, so headed up North for a bit of geocaching. My main focus was to attack this 'crayola series' which had been solved yonks ago in preparation for the Mega event, that I never ended up attending. It's so good to finally complete this series (other than a handful of dnfs).A big thanks to matagouri, who did all the driving around despite the fact he'd already found most of these caches. Thanks for all of the effort you've put into setting up this series

12-Dec-23
Camo missing.Bottle has no lid.

10-Dec-23
We spent longer here than we really needed to do, so it's a good job it was nice and quiet. And one day we will learn to read previous logs before we set out instead of relying on hints and geosense.Like previous cachers have stated the coordinates were about 18m out for us. We spent a long time looking at black fence posts trying to another black post close. Eventually as we were about to give up we spotted hint post on the other side of the road. The lid was missing. The cache was in pieces with no real sign of the usual camo that we expected. And the log did not appear to have been signed since July.

10-Dec-23
Spent a while looking in the wrong place until eventually we looked further away and used the hint which helped us to find it. TFTC

Unfortunately another DNF for us here. It looks like it should be easy enough to find but not for us today.

️ Trouvée ! / Found it ! ️

Deuxième jour sur cette série. Toujours un plaisir de trouver toutes ces caches. Je bouclerai cette série dans la matinée avec quelques DNF malheureusement.

Merci kiwicouple pour la cache

Second day on this series. Always a pleasure to find all these caches. I will complete this series in the morning with a few DNFs unfortunately.

3987th cache found.
Thank you kiwicouple for the cache

Found this one after reading the log - opposite side of the road to co-ords. Was lying out in open so hid in same spot but in line with the hint.

30-Apr-23
Really wanted to complete the wheel of challenges to grab another souvenir but today is the last day and we think we are still 21 caches short. The weather is not looking great and I have to be at work again this afternoon so we decided our best bet was to head over here and start the crayola series. Solved these puzzles back in 2019 and have enjoyed this type of solve ever since. I think its what got me hooked. GPS was out for this one but once we looked back at some previous logs we managed to make the find.

29-Apr-23
We were heading home after a nice walk at Awhitu Regional Park and knew we only needed three more caches to complete this series so couldn't resist diverting to look for this one.
We have tried looking for this one before with no luck but after reading some previous logs we knew where it was likely to be so this time walked right up to it.
There was a muggle very nearby on the other side of the fence doing some gardening so we had to initiate extreme stealth mode and took the cache back to the car to sign before very quietly returning it to its hiding spot.
It's great to get another Crayola Cache ticked off and bring our total up to 62.

I headed out today with AliGle to look for all the caches on the Crayola 64 series. AliGle had worked her way through all the jigsaw puzzles back in the days of Covid lockdowns and it's taken us a while to get around to heading down this way to find the caches. Unfortunately we didn't keep a record of the hints from the puzzle solutions, so that made the day a bit more interesting! However, most caches were easy enough finds without hints. At the end of the day we found 54 caches from the series and DNFed 10. I think half of the DNFs were most likely missing caches (based on DNF logs before us) and the other half were probably there, but we struggled to locate them having not saved the hints! We signed the logsheets with "24/04 V/A" although 2 or 3 couldn't be signed due to dampness. Some logs were also full, but we managed to squeeze our initials in somewhere. All in all it was a great day out in the picturesque countryside. Thanks for the big effort that's obviously gone into creating this series!

24-Apr-23
Vistra and I headed out today to look for all the caches on the Crayola 64 series. I solved all of the jigsaws during lockdown but we only got around to looking for them today. Unfortunately in my haste to complete the puzzles, I didn't keep a record of the hints from the puzzle solutions when they appeared at the end of the puzzles, so that made finding the caches from the coordinates alone a bit more challenging! Nonetheless we had a pretty successful day and found 54 caches from the series and DNF'd 10. We signed the log sheets with "24/04 V/A" but couldn't sign a couple because the logs were very damp. A few of the log sheets were full too and need replacing, but we managed to find a small corner to initial. Thanks very much to the COs for all the work that has gone into creating this fun series of caches and for giving us a productive and fun day out!

Back to the series for some more fun! Thank you for all the puzzles and caches!

18-Feb-23
#12,534. I finished solving the Crayola puzzles last year and was keen to come here today and find all the ones I had not solved before my previous visit. The weather was good and things were looking promising. I was borrowing my mother'n'laws little car that has barely made its way out of west Auckland in the past 20 years. All was going well until I heard the thump thump thump of a flat tyre out in the back blocks of Karaka. Changed that and discovered the spare had deflated. So two flat tyres. Rang the AA and an hour later the spare was inflated and seemed to be OK. But with no back up thought it best to bale out of caching after 24 finds and head back to the city. Will need to come back another time to complete this series.

The coordinates indicated it was over on the other side of the road but I could see the hint objects so wandered over there. The house owners pulled up in a car just as I was by the cache so I had to explain what I was doing and showed them the cache. The lid for this one is missing but the inner container is OK. Signed and replaced the cache as found. Thanks kiwicouple for the geoart series.

20 Meter off!

In the afternoons I statet again a trip but it was still windy.
Found 10 caches. I will write also maintain that the Owner know what is the status.
Thanks a lot

Found some more caches of this great crayola series.
Read previous logs, other side of road...
Thanks for hiding and maintaining.

It's been over two years since solving this series, so a trip up here was required.
In company with TaraTed we managed to do around half of these, encountering no real difficulties for most of them.
Thank you kiwicouple for the time and effort you have put into the series. We signed ourselves BBTT or vice versa. We look forward to completing the rest some other time.
All good today, TFTC Blenheim Bear

10-Jul-22
Out and about collecting all the colours today. This one was not a quick easy find as per previous logs, the cache is on the other side of the road to where the co-ordinates take you too. Lots of water lying around the place after a week of rain but all nice and dry today. TFTC.

Why did the cacher cross the road? To find the cache.

Mr Kiwi and I spent Matariki exploring this new part of the country to us. We found snails, slugs, ants and slaters along with 83 caches. Many thanks for putting the series together. I love jigsaw puzzles, so these caches were right up my alley. I loved the hidden in plain sight caches.

Previous logs very helpful.

Other side of road. Day of from work and some fun caching for the day, early start just before sunrise, Nice find, T4T$

16-Mar-22
Another evening grab. I had come to this cache previously but didn't look at the comments of previous finding, so because it was so late I left it for another day. A little guardian of the house was barking to let the owners know someone was at the fence, but I quickly had the cache in hand. I went back to my car to sign the log, then dashed back out to put the cache back. TFTC

16-Mar-22
Another after school activity. Just gonna grab 6 today.

As previous stated in past logs, the coordinates are way off. Try the other side of the road.

Read previous logs as we were struggling. Co-ordinates out. So once we had that all sorted, cache was found. Tftc

Solved these great, easy to solve puzzles a while back. Decided to tackle these caches today on a nice day out.
After reading previous logs here, cache was soon located, as co-ordinates seemed a little out for us. TFtC

17-Feb-22
I had to head to the racetrack at Pukekohe Park for driver training today for my job, so what better opportunity than to grab some caches beforehand, as I don't often get this far south very often. My intention was to find the remaining Crayola 64 puzzles that were published after my FTF run, as well as one of the MEGA adventure lab waypoints at Pukekohe Hill. Nice to finally get the remainder of the Crayola puzzles knocked off.

Decided to leave home at 5am which meant that I got to Karaka around 5.45am, leaving me enough time before our 8.30am start. Armed with my headlamp I started searching under the cover of darkness. Luckily not too many people off the main road, which made searching much easier. The one big hazard I had to watch out for was the dozens of bunnies running around on one of the open back roads.

GPS indicated one direction but logic told me to try the other side of the road, which proved to be correct.

12-Feb-22
Tricky one here as co ords didn't pan out. Finally found....
Enjoyed solving these puzzles thanks .

10-Feb-22
This was Crayola colour #24 of 64, and cache #30 for today. My overall log for the series is on [Crayola 64: Silver](https://coord.info/GL16JWD2E).

This one has the coolest name. The cache itself wasn't quite as majestic, though. I had been searching around for a while and eventually the others jumped out to help me. After a while we found the cache on the other side of the road from where the coords were pointing, out in the open and quite close to private property. I replaced it with a piece of wood on top which will hopefully help to camouflage it a bit. Thank you kiwicouple Smile

With TwigNZ on a day of caching fun, finding the puzzle caches that are part of the Crayola 64 power trail around Karaka and Waiuku Big Grin

Solved these about a year ago, was solving so that I could perhaps combine with the NZ MEGA, and so today was the day, only a couple of days after the MEGA which was held on the 22 January.

A joint effort, thanks again TwigNZ for having me tag along, so many roads not travelled before, cool hides, and interesting landscapes.

Cool trail, thanks kiwicouple for the puzzles, hides and the adventure Wink

NZ MEGA 2020 (in 2022) road trip - Day 7
Apologies in advance for the C&P logging, but will mention anything that stands out. Just about all the finds were straightforward in accordance with the Hint.

** Deduct 007 from South, and 008 from East to get to GZ **

As one of the things I thought I might attempt on this trip, I've been itching to have a crack at trying to get a day of finding a large number of caches. 200 was a target I had set myself a while back. I had noticed that there was a large concentration of caches just north of Auckland Airport, and I had also solved the Crayola 64 geo-art series a couple of years ago, and hoped that between those 2 locations I would be able to get the numbers I wanted. But doing it all on my own would be the biggest challenge.

I did have a few people say to me that I was being over-ambitious, as the Crayola series would take the best part of a day in itself to visit all the locations. I can now confirm that those people were right.

Having had a fantastic day on Browns Island on Sunday, another member of Team Done by 1 (RustyNZ) and I arranged to do just the Crayola series, and anything more would be a bonus. She had been wanting an excuse to come and find these, so it was a good opportunity for both of us. We met up just off the motorway and carpooled from there.

This was one of the rare ones where the calculated final was quite a way from where the cache was found. So we wasted a bit of time hunting around where we thought we were supposed to be, until I spotted something of interest on the opposite side of the road after which the cache was found quickly, some 18m from where we had started looking..The log was soon sporting both our names and we were back off on what would end up being a really long, but worthwhile day. I didn't get my 200, but I had my best single day ever with over 100 finds Smile

Thanks for placing this series of caches.

After the fun of the Mega yesterday back to the hard graft. Need 50 today. This series seemed ideal.

This is number 16. Found a bare nail so suspected gone until checked logs.

In Auckland for the much delayed Mega with TharntheHalken. Yay! Today we decided to work as many of the Crayola series as we possibly could, having solved the entire series during lockdown (in Wellington). No problems finding these caches. Tftc!

It's my Mega weekend road trip! This is day two, a bulk find day, attempting to complete the Crayola 64. Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC

#19567. Struggled a bit with this one (muggles being around nearby didn't help matters) but got there in the end. TFTC.

15-Mar-21
Today we had set aside for doing the Crayola 64 series, and StreetWalkerNZ had spent time last night working out the optimal route, though a bit of back tracking could not be avoided. A successful day, with just a couple of DNFs (think these caches are missing, rather than through our incompetence [:p]). Appreciated the quiet roads and variety of hides.
Searched for a while without success, which is always the case when you want a quick in and out as we were very aware at how many driveways and houses were here. Read logs then changed our search focus to across the road. SW found while I had to change the batteries on my GPSr. TFTC.

This one was a bit tricky to find. It was over the road from gz. We are over half way there. It's now 12:32 am and we started at 9am The DBees have left us so we are signing Jeng. This series was fun to solve and find thanks. We found a travel bug in it.
This is supposed to be a Mega trip. Jude_E and I flew up from Christchurch. Ethness flew up from Wellington. The DBees and Gracie's GPS fun drove down from Northland.
Thanks kiwicouple for creating this hide. It was find 9246 for me.

======== NZ Mega 2021 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2021 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, October 2021

26-Oct-20
In Auckland for the mega that isn't! We are looking for crayola caches today. We signed as JENG to save log space: Jude_E, Ethness, Nosynel and graciesgpsfun. Found across the road from where we expected. The owner on the correct side found the original a few years ago but they threw it away thinking it was something undavoury. It was one of the wooden ones. Thanks!

Hint perfect (although one post is not so black now), but coordinates out.

Jude_E, NosyNel, GraciesGPSFun and I are on the ‘Mega that wasn’t’ trip in Auckland the weekend. We’re collecting the ‘Tour’ caches, plus others, plus seeing the scenery, plus having a good old time -as usual . TFTC.

Day 3 of our weekend away. Time to finish the Crayola series. Beautiful morning to be caching. This cache ended up across the road from co ords. sorry for cut & paste TFTP

25-Oct-20
Visiting North Island from Otago as I still had my flights etc all booked last Christmas for what was going to be the Mega Weekend. Joined up with the Southland Geocachers (MrandMrsChosen1978, Wombat_4, NZBozzy, Kiscardi, Mrs Hazzer, Tregram and I) formed the Southern Raiders to have a Mega time caching in Auckland and Rotorua.

Day 3 - a nice morning chilling at the hotel and then it was time to hit the 64 Crayola series. As one of two who had all of the puzzle final locations loaded on my phone I became the navigator in the cark with NZBozzy and Kiscardi. So much fun was had travelling around the area and on the roads we saw and waved to drivers in some very old classic cars.

This one was on the otherside of road of where the co-ords came out but the washed out hint helped.

***[======== NZ Mega 2020 ========](http://nzmega.com)***

[NZ Mega 2020](http://nzmega.com) is definitely happening, but has been postponed until 2021. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, 22 to 25 October 2021. It's going to be a massive celebration of geocaching:

* 20+ years of geocaching worldwide.
* 20+ years since New Zealand had the very first geocache hidden outside of USA.
* All the 20s and now 21 as well!

Talk to your geo-friends and start planning to be part of [this event](http://nzmega.com) - you won't want to miss it!

Thanks for a great series

Day 3 with a group of us South Island cachers hitting the area around Auckland. Today we were on a mission to nab all of the Crayola series, grabbing a few others along the way.
All logs signed as the Southern Raiders today (wombats_4, Natalie247, mrandmrschosen1978.. with Kiscardi, NZbozzy) Thankyou to kiwicouple nice to meet you in person at an event this weekend. All caches found and in good order, great series, enjoy jigsaws so these were a pleasure solving! tftc

Day 3 in Auckland for the non mega weekend of caching. Today we are finishing off the Crayola series. Beautiful morning for caching hardly anyone around. This area is quite lovely.
Sorry for the cut & paste. Easy finds TFTP Smile

A lady doing her garden could hear us talking & wanted to know what we were up to. Couldn't find cache at original co ords. It was across the road some distance away.

25-Oct-20
Today is Crayola day; everyone has done the puzzles, back in lockdown, and this is very much a focus of the trip, while also doing a couple of the not-this-year-Mega-2020 events.
Travelling with South Island cachers, we found a number of caches including this one, on Labour Weekend Sunday.
We have typically signed as mrandmrschosen1978 or occasionally MM78. Crayola have been signed as Southern Raiders

Out with team Gold today (0B80B8, Liz Crew) doing a raid on the South Auckland caches. We had solved a stack of puzzle caches in the area, so it was time to collect as many as we could and pick up the trad's as we past them as well. We had a muggle keeping a good eye on us as we searched for this one. Eventually located, then off to the next one. TFTC

17-Oct-20
Off on a mission today with Team G0LD ( Geocachers 0B8, Lis & Daffy ) to finally do the Crayola 64 series. The puzzles had been solved ages ago, but due to two Covid forced delays, it was only now we could coordinate schedules and head south from Whangarei to make the finds.

We managed over 100 caches today, including all 64 Crayola puzzles, some extra puzzles, a few trads and a "slight" detour up to Awhitu Park to do the walk around there as well. A neat bonus was a couple of FTF's as well for the day. Finally made it back to Whangarei 17 hours later after over 500kms travel. Thx Greg for the driving, Lis for doing a lot of the hard yards in and out of the vehicle and yours truly for not getting us lost in an area of the country I certainly had never been before.

Thx also to Kiwi Couple for putting out this series and bringing us to this new area. Certainly interested to see all the flash "shacks" dotted around. The variety of containers was also much appreciated and some nicely crafted examples were found, which does make the experience more enjoyable.

This was our next Crayola find and a took a while to find here with a slightly cryptic hint. TFTC (series)

Today was the day Team G0LD (Geocachers 0B80B8, Lis's crew and DaffyNZ) finally got to collect these puzzles. As Pete said we'd planned this trip ages ago but covid-19 got in the way.

I left my sons in Whangarei at 5am and got back home to Paihia at 11pm. It was a long day but I really enjoyed it. We found all the crayola series, a few trads near them, a few other solved puzzles. In the middle of the series we headed up to Awhitu Regional park to get a cache that required low tide. Along the way we even managed two FTF's giving us a total of just over 100 for the day.

I enjoy jigsaw puzzles so this was a fun series which I solved back in July/August 2019. It took a while for the team to spot this one as there didn't appear to be two black posts. We found the original pill bottle not the mint tin too. Thanks for the series Smile

Up in Auckland visiting family for the school holidays. Heading south we decided to stop and collect as many Crayola as we could. Having the camper van is not ideal for small roads so we parked up and got on our bikes. Most of the finds were straight forward however some of the hints had changed. It may be that we solved these so long ago that we haven’t updated the hint. Thanks for the series.

We have a significant caching milestone approaching which we want to obtain on a trip away over Labour weekend. To get there we needed a few more caches and so a plan was hatched, the collective solving power of Team SEAC was put to the task and today was the day to collect this whole series.

The weather forecast wasn't the greatest and there was some initial discussion about postponing however the decision was made to carry on.

We meet at a predetermined spot and with Keylev, NZIceman, Laval, Cragger and Graffin we set out to conquer this series.

Thanks to Kiwicouple for placing this series!!!!!

Out for the day with Team SEAC to try and clear out the Crayola series plus a few extra thrown in for good luck

This was cache find # 60 of the day. All logs signed as Team SEAC to save space, TFTC!

This was a funny one. Initially I couldn't find it so read back over recent logs. Then noted that G-2 had put in a mint tin and read his description. Tried there and . . . . . found the original as per the hint. Searched further by hand but could not find a mint tin. Weird.

Another weekend day dawns, later than usual due to daylight saving adjustment in the night and my plan for today was a good one. I've been steadily solving the jigigi Crayola puzzles at the rate of 5 or 6 a night with some gaps in solving but steadily enough anyway. mrs capperz is away for the weekend so I'm at a loose end for things to do - lol! So caching in the Drury area it is then. There was supposed to be some unsavoury weather around with a storm moving across the country, but meh. I can always take a change of clothing. As it was the rain came down for an hour or so and I got really wet, but the sun made an appearance and a breeze picked up to dry me off. Which was nice.

And so it came to pass. The Crayolas were put back in their carton, except for 2 DNFs (one missing, one not sure why everyone else found it but not me!), 62/64. Also managed to get some collateral caches when passing as well as my 200th Earthcache, some GROTTYs, and a trip to Puhinui Reserve to get the Multi cache details for our US and UK partners. Home by 1730 so didn't even make use of the extra hours light today. I'd had enough by then.
Thanks to all COs whose caches I found, individual logs where I remember or have notes.

NZ Travellers have a big milestone in sight and a cache they are aiming for so they need to get their numbers up a bit for the stars to align at the right time. These puzzles were all solved during the first lockdown so we thought we would take the opportunity to finally collect them. We had NZ Travellers, NZ Iceman, cragger, laval, draffin and myself along for the ride. The log was signed as SEAC to save time and space on the log.

Thanks for the cache.

Had a great day out with some of the Team SEAC crew.

Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.

I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This series I already solved before my sabbatical. This is my sabbatical-cache #991.

I solved all the Crayola 64 mysteries at home and came well prepared with all the hints. The landscape was so quiet and peaceful and the boxes were well done. With more or less searching I signed the logbooks and finished the series. Thanks for all the mysteries and the work to make my day a happy geocaching day!

Nice find with woolwood9 today.
We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area and good trail of caches in the Crayola series.
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!

Out and about for a few hours of geocaching with the elder Future Finder this afternoon. He was keen to find some caches and I wasn't about to disagree! A nice way to spend part of a sunny day, I say. Anyway, I solved these puzzles over a period of a few days as time allowed, much closer to publication time than this excursion to find the first batch of them. Anyway, we parked up and I crossed over the road to execute a very quick find. The FF and I both agreed that "purple mountain's majesty" is a top contender for most ridiculous crayon colour name from amongst the 64. Cheers for the puzzle cache placement!

Did all the puzzles during some dark days in the weeks prior back in Scotland. Today was the day to finish finding them. An enjoyable set of puzzles, and well thought out caches. TFTC.

Solved gradually over the last few months and Sophie got us together with a plan for the day.
Two cars, 7 people (Yorkshirekiwi83, Gernita, Beconaze & us) and a great rotating system had us smash this out in less than 4 hours. Only a couple of caches we had to back track, and only 1 dnf - 61/64 as two disabled and a few trads inbetween. Some really good caches, beautiful locations with plenty of spots to park. Once we were done we headed off the Irish pub in Drury for a well earned beverage before going our separate ways. Thanks for a well thought out and well put together series, most enjoyable. All logs signed as YKGB to save time and space.

Spent the day with Yorkshirekiwi, Kristim and Gernita picking up the crayola series. Apologies for the generic logs, we used a really fun musical chairs type drive/find/navigate system which pretty quickly had us all wondering which car we were in next and what cache we were finding so I can't remember which cache was which. We made pretty quick work of them though as they had excellent hints and were in good condition and only 1 DNF.

Thanks for the fun puzzles and great day out

Todays adventure was to Karakara area and focusing on the Crayola 64 series, teamed up with KirsTim, Gernita and Beconase, running a sweet 2 car system which worked really well through out the day, took just short of 4 hours including some of the local trads as well. Thank you for placing and the puzzles, was a fun adventure. TFTC

With all of us having poor caching stats for 2019, Yorkshirekiwi, Kirstim, Beconaze and Gernita (us) decided to go on a caching adventure to try and improve our figures a bit! We all solved the puzzles, Sophie put together a plan of action as to the best way to collect them and we headed off in 2 cars to make the finds. We really enjoyed the series and managed to claim all but 3 of the caches in just under 4 hours. Some of them were easily spotted from the car, others took a bit longer. We really enjoyed our adventure and thank you for all the time and effort put into creating this series. All logs were signed YKGB to save space (and time!).
We bumped into another couple of cachers at a few of the caches but we soon headed off in different directions. Our day was finished off with drinks in an Irish pub in Drury. TFTC and sorry for the cut and paste logs but I really have no idea which order we found them in as we didn't end up completely sticking to Sophie's plan!

We can't enjoy any the Majesty of any Mountains, let alone Purple ones, as it is black o'clock and we should really be sleeping, but no... just a few more caches to be found yet. TFTC

New Zealand is my 64th country cached and to celebrate the milestone I figured it would be fun to complete the Crayola 64 geo-art series.

In preparation, I spent late evenings puzzling at home in Los Angeles as I only have this one full day free for geocaching while in Auckland. I also spent a couple of weeks chatting with people in two different Facebook groups trying to partner up with locals to make the run, but people had either completed the series previously, had to work on Friday (boring!), or flaked on me at precisely the time I was hoping they would arrive at my hotel.

Fortunately there is an Avis location a short walk from my hotel, so I picked up a silver Holden Commodore at 9:45 this morning – with its steering wheel on the “wrong” side of the car – and made my south. I made my first find, fuchsia, at 10:33 AM and have my fingers crossed the rain will hold off long enough for me to find my 64 smileys in my 64th country.

A moment of silence for the Great Earwig Genocide of 2019.

Thanks for the adventure, kiwicouple!

Good old Mildred, it's a pretty amazing name for a colour eh, connotations of kings, queens, emperors and other important people. Thanks Mildred and thanks kc for all your hard work in setting up these puzzles and hiding the caches!
