A new cache that is a very similar hide is now in place ready to be found.

22-Sep-22
I checked the cache today and it is gone. All I found was a little piece of swag which suggests someone has taken it rather than it being burnt by a fire. I will replace it soon.

I’m stumped. Cache sounds amazing so hopefully we are just us missing it and not that it disappeared!

Found with NiciDanielle. Its funny, I was having a bit of a whinge yesterday about the most favourited cache in Adelaide being a bit underwhelming, largely duue to the fact that we've seen some pretty innovative and well thought out caches and camo now, which has kind of desensitised us to one that are a little more unique. This cache is the former of the two however and one such example of a cache that should have a lot more fav points. Underrated, or just much newer and far less finds so far? Definitely deserving of a fav point in my books!! TFTC

On a short hike with cachehunter I like this camo. Fp awarded tftc

20-Oct-21
Headed south today with the main aim being some walking in the Hardy's Scrub area of the Onkaparinga River National Park for a dozen caches. Of course there were a few others that needed finding on the way there.
Great camo, but have seen similar and did spot from a distance. Unfortunately water had made it's way into the container and zip bag is way past its best, log is a bit damp. Dried what I could, added some debris to keep the unbagged log off the bottom and left a pathtag for whoever can provide a new zip bag and log Wink
Thanks to allister w for putting out this cache for us to find.

nice quick find for my geo eyes but standing at ground zero telling my daughter to open it her response was “but where is it”
lol

Well we noticed the previous finder has an indescribable pain in his derrière, poor fella. We being good lil hikers had a hiking pole to assist in extraction, perhaps a squirt or two of silicone may assist going forward. Great cammo which won’t be muggled any time soon. We walked up from the bottom, great way to build up our fitness and enjoy the wander. Today was about enjoyment, well all our caching is, never about bolting in and bush bashing just for the numbers, pity the fellas who are driven by that haha.
We must get our heads around all these challenge caches though, we are probably making life very enjoyable but tricky if we are ever going to meet some of this ever increasing criteria.
Thanks for another one Allister, great to be doing some of your caches. TNLNSL

found on route to a multi on a calendar day. Took the chance i wouldn't be rained on walking to the cache. Quick find. The wood has warped and made getting the cache container out a pain in the back side.

Decided to tackle a few caches in ORNP today. Was supposed to be having a full day in the park but had a late night last night and needed to get stuff done at home. So ended up with a couple of hours walking amongst the poison Wattle.
This one took me a while to get into, another lovely creation. Car keys helped! Wow it’s heavy too! TFTC Allisterw

Whilst chasing this CO's new geocache in the area, I decided to continue my evening jog/run and find some of the traditionals in the area, including this one. Another nice construction once again allister w, with another Favourite Point from me (you seem to be taking all my FPs off me! - Well deserved though). The cache and logbook were all in good shape, thanks allister w.

Arrived at GZ and was amazed at the work that had been put into this. Cache is all good Fav added

After seeing a FTF chance pop up, down this way last night I decided to leave it as I thought some others closer may go for it. Woke up this morning at 5am and saw still no one had claimed it so off I went for a drive.
After getting and FTF I decided to do some caching around Onkaparinga River National Park.
Everything was going well under a rover crossing got in my way, decided to take the leap of faith and walk through it. So slippery I went waist deep. After checking I still had everything I discovered the car keys were gone! After searching for about 30mins in waist deep water and still no luck I had to give up. Thanks to JJ52 to coming to the rescue and helping me out.

The main path in towards this one was covered in a huge puzzle. Maybe this cache needs a “Wading Required” attribute. Great work on the cache camo though.

Thanks for the cache allister w.

Caught up with the CO during the breakfast event & some caching afterwards.
We were recommend to do this one & we weren't disappointed.
The weather was kind to us today, just some wet footwear after wet grass walking.
I took great delight in finding some of the wattle & wild flowers are flowering already.
The cache wasn't what I expected, but was great admired, just wow.
A favourite point for the walk & the cache, thanks for the hide allister.w

Saw this one published last night, but was never going to go and get it then. Surprised
Today was a lovely day so I decided to get out of the house and go for a drive and a walk in a part of Hardy's Scrub where I hadn't been before. [^]
I really enjoyed the walk although I didn't see any animals or people for that matter, I had the place to myself and took a few photos along the way. Big Grin
Arrived at GZ and was looking in the wrong spot initially, but then I spotted something that warranted a closer look and found the cache and its very cool container. Cool
Thanks for the cache allister w and for bringing me here, certainly a favourite. Smile

*FTF* @ 21:12

Got the email whilst I was working. Once work had finished there were still no online logs so I went for a drive thinking surely this would have been found and not logged. Went for a walk in the slightly foggy forest with only the phone flashlight, got to GZ and quickly spotted something different, observed it a little and found a blank log book WOO HOO
Signed the log and replaced the cache, that is a nice piece of wood.
