Visiting Northland for the North Island Blokart Champs, sailing on the local beaches. The night before the competition started I wandered from the Top10 to make a quick find in a chilly, but clear night sky. This is well constructed and well hidden and happens to be my most northern cache I have found in NZ so far.Fav point added.Tftc
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit & doing the things that we want to do we were visiting the Karikari Peninsula area & decided to go for a walk along Tokelau Beach and get this cache we walked in via the road from the convenience store this cache ended up being an easy find as I obviously hat my Geocaching-thinking-hat-on, so this also gets a Favourite Point from us, the log was signed & cache easily replaced pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #4,970 for us!
On a trip with the Westie girls. With one of the girls thinking it needed tott. I used logic and opened it.Fav point.
On a caching journey up to the north with Supernannny and Net61 to find some caches. Many kilometres were driven over a few days and many caches were found. Thanks to all the cache owners for the placements. We soon spotted this well camouflaged cache but where was the log? Thought we might need a TOTT here - but fortunately we did not require one here. FP given and TFTC
Brilliant....!In the area with Net61 and Jag50 after picking up the Fish GeoArt Puzzle series of caches we had solved .Really enjoyed this tricky one. Thanks Larknz.Love your work.. Favourite Point.
Nice find right by our chosen lunch spot.Had me wondering if it was a field puzzle for a while - but just me over-complicating things
Found within amazing trip around New Zealand. Thanks for nice cache ....................................................................... TB Koumesovo geopivo DDEV7M
Currently we are on a Northland road trip and picking up a few geocaches here and there - bit of an understatement! We are staying on the Karikari Peninsula for a few days and went exploring this afternoon. Enjoyed the originality here - a favourite from me, TFTC
Found this one on our way back to the Bach from Matai Bay - a lovely spot! Parakerake Beach is full to the brim of utes with empty trailers today, and there are a solid amount of watercraft out enjoying the fantastic weather. A nice easy find here, love the camo! Brought Shaun the Sheep along for the ride too. TFTC!
Dad solo effort. Kids not interested. School holidays. Lovingly prepared hide, good job.
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. An easy find Found with Fisha1288 Cheers, Cympull.
Was looking in the wrong place against the fence when the kids spotted it a couple of metres away! Thanks
I was so impressed when our hero sussed this one out so smartly. Earns a fave for first rate effort! Cache is all good. TFTC
A nice and unusual find. Not sure if tube was supposed to be full of water but it was. The log was dry though. A receipt is being used as the logbook now so may need some attention. Thanks for the placement.
Good hidejust needs some TLC. The log is quite full and has had agood life ..lovely spot and busy today..thanks
We are staying at tge NZMCA park nearby. We got on our bikes and cycled along the beach and up Whatuwhiwhi Road and back down to find this cache. What an altitude/ fortitude test (especially going back up again). Great camo here. Thanks for the placement
Out on a tiki tour around Northland. This was one of many. Found after a nice walk along the beach from the campsite. Love the camo. Thanks for hiding LarkNnz
Nejdříve mé stopy vedly ke stromům, ale pak jsem spatřila něco jiného a stačilo si jen správně vybrat, díky za hezkou schovku
A quick find here. Nice hide, well camoed. TFTC Larknz.
Day 11 of our Northland trip, and today was Paihia to Whatuwhiwhi.
A couple of stops in Kerikeri on the way up for supplies and other shopping, and also to check out the Rainbow Falls, which we missed on the first time through the town.
Then it was north to Mangonui, the main stop on our trip for the day.
We spent some time here, and enjoyed it. Knocked off the Adventure Lab, picked off another few choice caches also, as well as the bonus.
We had lunch of fish and chips over the water at the fish shop (guess you have to tick that one off), and had some successful shopping for RG72.
Then it was off to the Karikari peninsular for our accomodation for the next couple of nights. The place looks great!
Thanks all COs for hiding and maintaining.

Thanks for hiding this cache Larknz I appreciate it. JDScout flew ️ to Auckland. We've got 7 days in Northland and one of our activities is geocaching. This is day 3, Doug found this cleverly hidden cache.
Up here on holiday for a couple of days and this was my first stop after checking in across the road very cool cache!!!
Lovely hide!! I was completely in the wrong place, good job the geoman had my back! Thank you
One of several caches we located between Tokerau Beach and Pukenui (heading to “the top”) today. Took a while to find this one. Spent some time looking around the trees before we took more notice of the title! Great hide, worth a favourite! #4655. TFTC.
Well Im flying solo with my 'second in command' Lenny, whos my navigator on this leg of my expedition. Left Zara in Tokerau Beach and headed back to Kaitaia for materials to fix Tobys side window. And time is running out as its 4pm. Glass man closed and Repco were very unhelpful. So it was a trip to P&S for a cereal box and rubbish bags. Its still early so came and snagged this one while still in town. stopped by here on our way back to Tokerau Beach. Quick snag and tag. Cheers.
Now to get back to Tokerau and get repairs on Toby sorted with some trusty Duct tape from my cache kit the repair ended up lasting for the next 10 days finally blowing out somewhere between Napier and Palmy. And I have been to Cape Rienga and Gisborne in that time.
Day 6 - Tuesday 26 January - Auckland to Kaitaia today. Early start out of Auckland to beat the traffic. Lenny kept trying to put me on the toll motorway so we ended up wandering our way on the Twin Coast highway. Quick stop off in Whangarie for some shopping and fuel. Arrived Kaitaia mid afternoon and found Toby with a smashed side window. Temp repairs before the rain arrived tomorrow. But time for a couple of caches too.
Zara, Toby, Lenny and I are on our North Island expidition for a couple of weeks. Got The Seagnoid along for the first 4 days, heading to the Auckland Mega. PWGTs and TMGTs are on the radar for this trip. Lots of driving on gravel roads and visited lots of amazing places on our 6000km road trip snagging 200+ caches along the way. Visiting Cape Reinga, Bay of Islands, Gisborne and White Rock along our journey. Another awesome trip. Thanks to all CO's.

Great cammo. Easy find.
Muggles would be a problem at the height of summer.

Nice little area. Very nice track. GPS wasn’t where the cache was so keep that in mind.
Heading north with DaffyNZ to collect a few solved puzzles and other caches.
Quite a while since I have been to Whatuwhiwhi, but as always, it's a great place to visit. And another HIPS cache which was very well done for a relatively exposed location, so another FP from me. TFTC

Out with 0B80B8 today collecting a few caches around the far North. More great camo in plane site. Soon had it located and the log signed. Favourite point for a great cache.
Haha, what a perfect hide. Great camo, easy find, discreet enough from muggles, and showed us a cool little local track, which took us on a nice wander of the neighborhood. Ended up bumping in to an old workmate who's retired up here. A fave for sure. Thank You!
Cleaver hide. Really like this one. Here’s a favourite.

This beach brings back memories of a family holiday had back in 2004.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Thank you for making this wonderful cache. You have spent some time thinking of it.
We are on our summer holiday, we usually take a few weeks and travel around the South Island, but this year we are heading around the North Island. Heading up the West coast and back down the East coast. Finding only a select few caches along the way, we are mostly targeting some challenges we have qualified for, some large size caches, some that fill gaps in our date placed grid, a few D/T combinations, some with lots of favourite points, letterboxes and anything else that grabs our fancy.
I had a fall earlier in the week so I was now pretty much out of action with a very sore and swelling ankle, so I am only going to help find the nearby caches and gk is going to find any of the caches that require more of a walk. After spending time at the Te Kuiti medical / hospital centre my sprain has turned into a fracture and I am in a moon boot and told to keep weight off my leg.
A good quick cache, heaps of action on the beach down below so we parked up and watched the boats for a wee while before moving on.
Thanks for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley, great views around here
