Garage sale in town, then time to kill
Nothing like a bit of train spotting. And caching on Sunday morning.
Great story. Muggle was standing right at ground Zero watching a train we had to wait for him to go
But quick find.
Thanks for the hide and the history lesson
We drove across town to find this cache in honour of the great story in the description. Nice view too. Favourite point from us for the amusing history lesson
Try to do an adventure lab but Gps screw me round.. so found this ..

While sitting in a motel in Stanthorpe, I examined the map and possible geocache finds. I spotted this and read up on the listing. Fun history story and seemed likely. Tomorrow I'd be with my family on the Southern Downs Steam Railway from Warwick to Wallangarra and back.
It would be a cold day, most of which I'd spend outside in the wind, enjoying the unique view of the world and feeling the steam-y experience. It would be a day of coal soot and steam, seeing demolished bridges and historic dams, spotting llamas and donkeys. A day of family and fun.
But all of that was after a very early start and drive to Warwick Train Station. We arrived a few minutes early, so remembering the geocache, I bolted up the overpass and made a surprisingly quick find. Before I'd even pulled my phone out.
Over in the distance, a little cloud of steam was rising and knew it was our train getting ready. I insisted the family come up and join me for the little spectacle. So much to see from up here, and plenty of history to bask in. This was a good way to start a good day. Thanks for this geocache, chippy76

Still in Warkwaick and today I decided to pick up caches in the city before venturing northish. This was a quick find in the city. TFTC.
I mentioned to some geobuddies that I wanted to go to Stanthorpe to finally collect the last of the Apple caches. A plan was hatched and a weekend away was planned. The weather was so much nicer today than yesterday. After lunch in Warwick, we headed to this one. A quick find was made and the log signed. TFTC
Road trip to Stanthorpe from Brisbane and collecting a few ALs, bonuses as well as other caches. Thanks so much for showing us around your local area - it is greatly appreciated.
A long weekend up on the Southern Downs from Brisbane, looking for caches from Clifton down to Stanthorpe and in between. Thank you to all CO's for placing these caches - much appreciated. Found cache and signed log. TFTC

Dayboro trip. Day 7. Another drive day, but with a difference. I traveled from Casino to Dayboro, via Warwick and Toowoomba. The stop in Toowoomba was aborted as the lockdown was terminated early and everyone else moved on, so I followed. Otherwise a fun day with three adventure lab sets done and some nice Queensland Freeways traveled. The new road down from Toowoomba is fantastic.
I spent an hour or so in Warwick doing two adventure lab sets and along the way I found a few other caches. When I got to GZ I was happy to see this great cache that really fits in to the area.
Thanks.

On the trail of An Adventure Lab . Walked to GZ had a feel but then spotted something.

Catching up with late logs
We are slowly working our way up to Dayboro for the mega event mainly collecting Adventure Labs and anything else that came up where we could park with the camper van on behind.
We had just grabbed one of the lab wpts here and were not going to leave without trying our luck on this one. We really enjoyed the informative cache page and had no idea previously of how the Federal Police Force came into existence. The cache itself took a little bit longer than expected but we managed to track down the well hidden log and added our name to it.
Thanks chippy76 for the cache and the history.

This was the first cache on a fun weekend road trip with wombles. I had originally stopped here to get a photo of the train station and see if Lola and Chelsea were still hiding out. Nope ??
Seeing as we were here already it would be crazy not to find this cache and create another smiley. Interesting story about the egg!
Thanks for the cache chippy76
Happy to part with a FP!

Nyssaflutterby and I were headed off on an adventure and stopped to look at the train station which had been in a tv show.
I headed up to find the cache and read the story in the description on the way. I hadn’t heard that story before so thanks for the cache and the history lesson.

Out collecting caches in this scenic and quaint locality with this being one of them. Our thanks to chippy76 for placing this cache series and enhancing our enjoyment of the area..
After visiting here earlier and wandering all over town visiting spots for the Adventure Lab, we returned after a nice morning tea at the amazing nursery to find the actual cache here (that we belatedly discovered there was, after taking our AL blinkers off).
Nice views of the tracks and old train station on the bridge above.
Soon found the offending piece, a nicely creative one.
Interesting story, certainly must have put Warwick on the map at the time.

I have just had the best weekend caching around the Warwick, Summit and Stanthorpe areas. With caching buddies (geonayfee, Willis007 and Triple Turmoil) for the weekend we got in a very large number of caches, completing the apple geoart, the fruit run and a few other special caches along the way. I had a fantastic weekend with lots of laughs and funny events it just made for a fun time; the puzzle solving in the lead up to the weekend was great also.
A big thanks to all the CO’s of the caches along the way; for placing and maintaining the caches for us to enjoy. Visiting this area and seeing places I would never see in a normal trip here was enlightening, so again thanks.
In the weekend I got around 180 caches so firstly apologies for the generic part to the log, I do not remember all specifically but some did stand out so I will add a little to those in my posts.

I was invited to join Chamad, TripleTurmoil and Willis007 for an epic Geocaching adventure on the Granite Belt and surrounding areas. Our morning started bright an early at Warwick (For some good ole caffeine goodness) and slowly but surely we made our way south towards Stanthorpe while grabbing MANY caches on the way.
The main goal for the weekend was to complete the Stanthorpe GeoArt and sign a couple of the challenge caches. We had a wonderful yet tiring day, we did plenty of driving and visited several locations I haven't been to before
Thank you to each and every CO for places caches at these location. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had a blast. We'll certainly enjoy our sleep tonight.

Apologies for the copy pasting crap.

After heading out to Queen Mary Falls to pick up the few caches I had left in the area my plan was to grab a few in Warwick. This turned out to be my only find in Warwick as the chilly weather beat me. Great hide and TFTC chippy76
Gotta love a few trains, Such a beautiful building here and I loved the history lesson. It was a lovely sunny day here as I passed through on the way to Mums place. I found the cache quickly and grabbed a photo to show the kids of the train and the station. Thanks!
Another find to Grub62. A well hidden cache and in good condition. Great views of the city and the trains thanks for bringing us here and TFTC.
Out for a morning walk with Bunadoorian and geodog. I finally found this cleverly hidden treasure. TFTC chippy76
I’ll have to say this would be one of my all time favourites caches. Thank so much for the trip down memory lane
MERRY XMAS 2019... Not a lot of movement about this afternoon , but the cache was located and dealt with.. Thanks chippy76
On our way home from the Mega at St Arnaud and we spend the 19th in Tamworth and made our way to Stanthorpe on the 20th. Arrived and cached and went out to see Ian and Chris and the other occupants of the house. Stayed in Stanthorpe over night 20th and at 5 am this morning re started the cache hunt. Finished in Stanthorpe and made our way to Toowoomba via Warwick and found the ones there that sere suited to our time schedule and then on to Toowoomba where we cached till 6 pm. On our way to the Sunshine Coast where we will be attending a family function on the 23rd. Signed all logs with youngoldfella where ever possible but if the logs were micro or small used my usual YOF signature. Thanks to the additional hint it was a quick find. All good here. TFTC
Out for a little road trip to find a few geocaches with Brother Colin.
Lots of quick drive bys in the most.
A nice day to be outside as well, though most of the countryside we drove through could do with some rain.
Thanks for the cache.
