I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Up Papamoa Hills doing some maintenance on my cache and figured having found this cache twice before I'd have another hunt. No luck for me this time though. Replaced with a camoed pill container so it can be found again. All good to go here.
Looked and looked and looked - even the family looked. I fear this one is missing...
Hunted low and lower and still couldn't come up with the goods. We wonder if it has gone missing again as some children had clearly spent some serious time engineering a log hut amongst GZ - so may have unexpectedly discoverved some geocaching treasure? Will try again another time we happen to be up here
I did look roughly and quickly couldn’t find anything but had to race back to the group so I didn’t get left behind. Will look again when I get the chance.
No pine cones at all here and the obvious holes contained nothing. A good excuse to come back!
Checked cache and found last person left it hanging outside on the bark of the tree!
Have hidden back under the pine cones and will install another nail on the root in the future(the old nail should still be there, but i couldnt find it)

Passed this cache while doing the night cache in the area so had to stop and look. Located this one easily, I think it's fallen off it's nail but still pretty obvious once your at GZ. Thanks for the hide.
Forgot to log this one back when we visited.
Was a lovely evening for a stroll up the hill on sunset.
This cache took several of us a long time to find but eventually we got it under torchlight.

With some of Team BOP (Davidson clan, nerweed, NZFlossy, Philip.Perry, and TNXPro)... Some new caches were published in Papamoa, and we were definitely interested in those. I floated the idea of coming up into Papamoa Hills Regional Park for a night walk. Someone in the Team liked the idea, so here we are...
I haven’t been up in the Hills for a very long time - not since before the tree felling. The park looks quite sad without trees... I forgot how steep some of the tracks were, but once over the first section, breathing returned to normal.
Some of the Team had found this cache before, and they gave us some extra hints. Despite their directions, this was a difficult find. In the end, everyone had to join the search party... The cache was eventually located in long grass and not hidden as intended (Where is the nail?). We arrived for this one at dusk, and left on nightfall. Thanks nzoomed and TFTC.

We meet at the outside carpark to get the caches up here the night cache and a few others. This cache took at least half an hour to find even with previous finders helping us . Name is now on log and cache is hidden in hole with 5 pine cones in front of it.

Found it with my Girl. Nail is missing. Tube in good shape. Hid back under pine cones. Beautiful spot. Cheers. TFTC.
[#1267 | 17:03] A quick find on an afternoon walk. Thanks & greetings from the Czechs!
On a mission to pick up a night cache, I noticed my path was taking me past here. Even in the dark, it looked familiar. I'm sure I picked up an old cache here. Anyway, got close to GZ and, as I was turning on my ridiculously bright hat torch, spotted the cache. A little exposed so I returned it a little more protected. TFTC.
To anyone having trouble finding the nail, it is far back under the tree root, so as to make the cache as well hidden as possible, you should be able to feel it with your hand if you feel under the tree root far back enough.
I havent been up on the Papamoa Hills for a few years and it was a great sunny day for a walk after a week of cold and rain. But wow it was so windy up at the summit! Found this one after searching as per the hint but couldnt find a nail anywhere...but the cache was nested rather beautifully! Tftc
Always a good walk up here with lots of great views. The scenery and the tracks have changed a lot with the milking Lots of people coming up this morning getting their exercise in before the rain comes in. Thanks for putting another cache up here TFTC

Still needing to do my run a day and on our way home we decided that there was a night cache to do in the Papamoa hills, and being night it ticked all the boxes, this one was added to the list as it was on the way past.
Not quite as per hint as it was not hanging on a nail, i did have a good look under there with my headtorch but couldn't see one, so replaced it where and how I found it, under some geosticks under the big root

Drizzly old day but great exercise...well hello whos here hi McJ and daughter great to catch and discuss the important finer facts of life rugby etc ..signed and replaced as found thanks ..awesome vista
I was very interested to note the almost identical name of this cache with another reasonably close by. I thought I was seeing things or clicked on the wrong cache! We hiked up here battling drizzle and altitude. I had just passed a sign which said Due to Damage Keep to the Tracks. Then I saw a couple scaling the last bit of hill to gz - I know where they are going! We circumnavigated the rise and snapped a familiar cacher and daughter signing the log. Great to meet up!!Thganks for the placement on a track I have not been up since the tree were felled. Quite a different feel. Great to see all the native plantings. Thanks for the cache nzoomed.
Thanks NZoomed, another excuse to make the trek up here, with the added bonus of a new night cache in the area, decided to come up here today with my daughter, after huffing and puffing a bit, finally made it to GZ, so sparse with the trees all gone, but nice to see the planting of natives for regeneration, its going to look magnificent in time to come. Was just about to sign log when I was interupted from above!! Oh hiya, lol, great to catch up you two.
I had a couple free hours today so took the opportunity to wander up the Papamoa Hill with my 5 year old. This is my first time up here since all the trees came down and this place looks so different now. The cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward placement. I couldn't find the nail it was supposed to hang from so I just replaced as found as per Supernannys log. Cheers nzoomed & TFTC

So awesome to be on holiday in this glorious weather...
Was driving from Waihi to Papamoa when a friend contacted me about a new cache here!
Finished doing the Minden Virtual Lookout first; and arrived at this carpark about midday.
Was initially a bit confused as did the Summerhills one last year...but different entrance.
Walk up wasn't too bad...25 mins at grandma pace.
Wide metalled zig zag path.
Quick find in first place I looked!
Great views all around too.
Enjoyed a thermos coffee and a relax up here for a while.
Unfortunately the bison is no longer attached to a root now .
But I've hidden it under pine cones and bark.
Thanks one and all for my surprise { FTF }
