I can't believe its 6 years since we last went caching! nic579 and zac23 decided to take peach11, elands12 and myself caching for father's day. What a lovely reserve to spend the morning in followed by lunch in the park. This was the first cache on the day's list. After nic579 and zac23 spent a few minutes looking, I decided the mud wasn't going to be a problem and went in and made the find. "Hey nic579, can I have a pencil to sign the log". Ah. Oh. Didn't think of that. So the ladies and I waited whilst nic579 and zac23 ran back to the park to rummage through the vehicles and return with a pen allowing us to continue our morning. TFTC!

Krcamber took one for the team here. I have new shoes which were already muddy earlier, but had since been rinsed off. Yes, full Princess move

Soon after starting her search, she made the “got it!” call. Yay!!

Thanks for the cache, Simber15

Swearah made me head into the sticky mud here cause she was being precious about her new shoes . As it turns out, it wasn’t too bad anyway and I found the cache nice and quickly and back to dry ground I went. TFTC!

We hadn’t timed our arrival for low tide but we were fortunate that it was just low enough that our waterproof shoes protected us and we could access GZ. Camouflage was exactly what we were looking for. It was Mr DisSister who spotted it behind us as we got to GZ. Thanks Simber15

I met up with Selva Girls today to do the caches in Toorbul and after finishing there headed to this area for a bit of fishing and fun.

Arrived at GZ on low tide and after a short search the cache was soon in hand. Log signed and all returned as found.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy.

We headed out to chase some of the water caches in the little birdies series and some other caches around the area. This was one we found this day. After a rough start the weekend with DFC breaking his wrist, and getting a flat on the boat trailer he still wanted to come out and complete this amazing geoart.

Before leaving the new geocar (Track my adventures here D78QWZ) we determined which ones in the series we were going to target for the day, confirmed the difficulty and terrain was ones we needed for our grid and read some pervious finder logs. DFC, Princess1005 and BrisLions set off to head over in one of DFC's geoboats.

FINALLY after a getting a little grubby from the mud and within minutes, BrisLions, DFC had spotted the cache, then added our little ink mark to the logbook. While JLK and MummaBear66 found some one land and JLK start writing the logs.

Thank you for this cache placement and maintenance to our trusty Geofriends Simber15

A dry spell in the weather this morning and we made the most of it having a drive down here to collect a few smileys. We were a few hours after low tide and did manage to get in and out with dry socks. We did initially go in further than we needed and backtracked where we spotted the cache. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks Simber15.

Today, it was an opportunity to visit Bribie Island, and then geocache from Sandstone Point to Beachmere. I started the morning with a kayak with Snickersallan in Bribie Island's westerly passage, where we visited the Avon wreck. I then took a walk around Godwin Beach Environmental Reserve conducting some tree fishing, before grabbing lunch and heading to Beachmere's event. It was a nice occasion to drive around the area, and then with remaining available time, it was a short visit nearby to Caboolture Airport, followed by North Harbour Heritage Park, completing *Morayfield Heritage* Adventure Lab. I ended the day attending the *6th Annual Yuletide on the Northside* event in Pine Rivers Park.

Although it had just turned high tide, the tide was dropping enough for me to grab this cache without getting too wet shoes/feet. After slowly squelching around, I soon found the cache. Unfortunately, the wire tether has broken, and it looks like the branch to where the cache has been tied to has also broken. It seems to be ok for now, but perhaps it could use some further securing? Awesome camouflage though, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Simber15 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Having passed through Ningi many a time over the years, I've never really stopped before. Today the plan is to check out this side of the passage. After a great walk along the coastline to here it was a great quick (ish) find for us today.

Thanks Simber15 for entertaining me at this location.

Muggle65 and l must be mad sometimes. It is blowing a crazy wind and is freezing cold and we have come beach caching. The Mugglekid found this one. Great container! A fave point from me

We are still at the Caboolture showground and today we decided to spend the time looking for more of the Little Birds, along with any other caches we come across. The puzzles for the Little Birds were solved while we were in lock down in Victoria, guess something good had to come out of our forced ‘home stay’.
Today turned out to be quite interesting, from experiencing mud baths, spider wraps – anyone who knows me know how much I cannot cope with spiders. We found caches flying from the trees, torches way up high, a sad roosta and many more.
At this one we did get our feet a little wet but we wore our crocs today in anticipation of this happening. A cute container.
Sadly we had an unfound on a trad, we are sure that it is there but just to good for us today.

Day 8 our last day camping at the Caboolture showgrounds.
Today we headed towards Bribie Island, a few birds & some fishing caches found.
The tide was just right & I walked very carefully to GZ hoping to not find an unexpected damp spot.
Thankyou Simber15 for placing this cache.

I wasn’t quite sure whether low tide was low enough. It seemed as though I could walk into the mangroves. I was just about to reconsider the find when I sunk below the surface and well, in for a penny, in for a pound. My compass is proving to be less and less reliable, so it took me some circling before settling in gz and locating the cache.

Wish I’d have brought the mozzie spray with me

Day two of our trip to the Mega after Gladys said yes. Pole fishing was a strong theme of the day and the areas north of the city had plenty to chose from. Despite the rain the Megatons as it appears in a number of the logs where signed as we pushed on. Some tricky hides and reaches but success at each one. TFTC
This was in between fishing pole caches and as the ride was not fully in the D rating had us looking.

That was a bit sticky. Picked the correct tide by chance but was still rather worried about getting my tootsies wet. In the end I came out a little muddier than entering but at least with dry feet

Today we came out towards Bribie because our son wanted some sort of motorbike cover thingy for his birthday. Neither my wife or I understand the motorbike culture so us going into a bike shop where they ask us what the bike size is or RPMs is, is akin to asking a testicle whether it votes on the left or right.

Our son has been bating Mrs Woodyrothwell to get a tattoo as that is the in-thing that all young people do. I’ve noticed her inhibitions weaken with every glass of wine she imbibes. Soon she will be driving me to caches on the back of her bike (where I can admire her tramp stamp).

Last weekend we found ourselves sunk in mud so today we were doubly careful. I’m sure one of my feet went 4 millimeters into the mud and my life flashed before my eyes. I saw my wedding day, the birth of our first child and the upcoming tattoo of a butterfly between my wife’s boobs. tftc

After the fab event upon this morning a group of us headed off to try and catch some tree fish. After we'd finished the new caches our group dwindled to 4 & we continued on to the caches along this path. Headed down to the waters edge & into the sticky mud. We initially walked too far in but spotted the cache when heading back towards the shore.

Last cache for us today, after doing a lap of the park area, we decided while walking past this one, to do it last just incase I wanted to go dip my toe in the water, shoes off, Zelda the Woofy Wanderer by my side and Mrs Wallaby spectating from the shore, I headed in, and then, I made the find, sticky by name, sticky by nature, I was expecting something alot worse than this, I thought I was going to go down in the history books for geocacher lost at sea finding extreme cache, instead, I walked right up to GZ, smacked my head on a tree and found the cache, this was a fun and clever hide, certainly not what I expected and certainly gave me a smile and a giggle, Zelda looked at the hide and thought we had hit doggy heaven, she used to have something very similar to this, but it would get filled with dog treats and she'd roll it around to make them fall out and keep her entertained, so ofcourse she thought she was going to get more treats... no treats from the cache, but she got some from me for being a good doggo.. log signed and returned, thanks for the cache and thanks for bringing us to the area, we enjoyed the walk, the adventure and feeding the locals..

Coords had us about 5m further in the mud than need be. The things we will do to get a cache. Mozzie city here.

All the trees around made this a bit harder at first. We hadn't checked the tides but we were lucky and just some mud. Great hide, able to grab the log out and signed it tftc

Today lunchtime I decided to take my fishing rod and complete this nice little loop. I had a lot of fun finding the caches.

I was able to sign it with the feet staying dry only one hour before high tide.

Had my water booties for this one, but the tide was low and so no change needed. For this one we parked at a nearby street, and noticed a very unusual home-made? Car. Four giant exhausts, and from the sound of things, the owner was busy cutting more metal inside his fence. I imagine his neighbours must love the noise.
Thanks Simber15
This is a really beautiful walk along here and we are enjoying exploring the area.

Loving my caching day in Ningi with Geopup, we headed over to Woorim for lunch where they have awesome gluten free burgers.

Making our way back here to continue the caching day, we made our way to GZ. As per my usual MO, I walked around in circles for a while and was about to leave when I spotted the sneaky little hide.

Log signed, cache replaced as found, we headed off. Thanks Simber15 for bringing us here.

Chamad and myself has been talking about going to Bribie Island for some time now, so today that day came to reality as we both had several target caches that we needed in the area.

I had a few caches that were a MUST for me as they would knock off a few more degrees for my 360 from home and a couple of DT combos that will help out on a few challenges also.

Today I ended up with 16 finds, but unfortunately 2 DNF's.

All in all, it was a fantastic day to be outside today and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

While I was out to continue a couple of challenges which I’m working on; a traditional a day and a cache a day, I did have some target caches in mind. The tree fishing series in this area also filled in a particular d/t grid position as well. While I required a particular tott, I did require the help of geonayfee. There were a couple of other caches in the area so while I waited for him to arrive I quickly completed 2 of these. This was one of those, an easy find and with the tide out it made for a nice dry walk along the shore line.

A nice themed cache and with the log signed and the cache replaced it was off to the next. All good with this cache. Thank you for placing this here and taking the time to make it enjoyable.

Our original plans this weekend was to take out the geo-jet now that clearance had been given on the boat ramps, but with it being a bit windy and chilly we decided not to, but somehow we have still found ourselves in the mangroves. We must admit, sliding around in the mud looking for caches has become some of our funest caches to find, so we were as keen as mustard to get in there. By pure luck it was low tide so we were straight down there.

Of course as normal, we got to excited and overshot the mark, so coming back out to where we should be the cache was spotted. Once again we noticed it had been found today, so that means more hand sanitiser, we think we are using more of the stuff than we do to go to woollies, but the motto is ‘you touch something, you clean every ounce of liveable bacteria on your hands, good or bad.'

Heading out, and oh no the pen is gone, going to blame the hand sanitiser for that, retracing our steps and there’s our 10c pen sitting on the ground under the cache.

18/3/20 Find #3539
On the way to this one, slow puncture stops to take a nice closeup of a line of wasp nests on a fence, telling us how she is allergic to them. Um ok, so that’s a great idea getting nice and close like that I’m sure
Luckily for all of us, she didn’t have any issues with their tempers today, and left without a sting, and we continued on our way to this one.
Arriving here, it seems the tide hadn’t too long gone out. The ground was a little bit icky but the cache was retrieved ok. Logbook was damp but not bad as it was stronger paper at least.
Thanks for the cache Simber15.

Wednesday. This one took a bit of spotting, and we tried to do that from the dry side of the land. Thankfully, we had a couple of previous finders with us and we soon had the cache spotted. Thankfully the ground wasn’t too sticky when we went across to grab this one and 1Minniemoo did the honours and scribbled our name in the log book for us. Nice container!

This was the 2nd of 3 caches found on this outing.

Thanks Simber15 for bringing us here Razz

Sometimes luck is on my side and I'm sure it was today. Somehow I timed it just right for low tide which was a big help as my foot wear choice today wasn't really optimal.

Finally able to catch up on logging caches found earlier in the year. Today, I was out and about with dahumbug, Beardman75, Simber15 and Captain Vimes for a terrific day of caching fun with a twist Big Grin We were going on a fishing expedition Cool Thanks Simber15 for providing the fishing pole, otherwise we would have been up a creek without a paddle Surprised

While we had no difficulty in locating this cache, actually retrieving same was not so easy Twisted Eventually, we managed to perfect out technique and with our names added to the log book, we replaced the cache as found and continued on our way.

Thank you Simber15 for placing the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy Big Grin

The River Patrol is back up and running now that they have refloated the boat. Only problem is that the river is so dense at the moment that you can walk along the crust quicker than the boat travels.

Out with dahumbug, Just A Trifle, Simber15 and Captain Vimes today to reel in a few caches. As we were passing this one, I waded in to the mangroves thankful that the tide was out. After walking past GZ, I turned around and quickly spotted the camo. Thanks for the cache
