Ahhh Tangles, you are very, very sneaky.
Found out that geoKid is useful for more than just company on these expeditions and he got the find.
Made sure not to leave any footprints when getting this and the safety glasses were a good tip.
Took - Earphone
Left - Champagne bubbles and Metal Gear Acid Badge.
Thanks for another fun and clever adventure.

Second attempt at this one. Strangely we found it in a spot previously checked with no success. today it was in plain sight althought we replaced it where we assume it came from (the same spot we had previously checked, suggested by the black accompaniements)so it is again hidden.
tried to find this on sunday 4th sep with no luck. Is it still there, any hints? the palce suggested by the clue seemed right but possibly its been removed by muggles?
Now that was brilliant. u shure rr a goood hider! rekoned after a quick look only one likely place but I ALWAYS get on the wrong queue ! so without SAFETY Equipment i of course paid the price several times while looking>
Well that will teach me to read the instructions and not do the Male thing

You beat us this time, Tangles. With the Geo-Juniors left up on the lawns with Grandpa, I went in search of the cache. A torch would have come in handy (left it in the car), but even using the digital camera to look around corners and in areas I wasn't prepared to crawl, I came away empty handed. Maybe next time we are in Sydney we'll give it another go?
Hi Tangles,
My eyes, My eyes, my beutiful eyes!!!
Bugger of place to hide it but great fun looking!

Hi Tangles,
This was a bugger to find took us a good half hour, actual kudos to my son, this was his second find and as it was a sneaky one it gave him a better insite as to what to expect in the future.
Thanks Tangles,

number 6.
easy find and good location. easy to get is another thing altogether though. to sy i am a little arachnaphobic is an understatement. just before going in to grab the cache i saw a funnel-web attack a passing moth... a warning to those who pass this way.
swapped the ses patch for some headphones retrieved at UK.
thanks Tangles.

Very Sneaky. This in such a high traffic muggle area, but hidden where no muggle would ever find it. Loved it, took mini clamp, left sew on patch & balloon.
this was was very very well hidden, lovely spot to take a dip, the locals seemed to be doing just that.
glasses would be a good idea but overall great spot and not easy to stumble across.TNLN

Well, hunted high and low could not find this one. Will tackle it again later. Went on to do Silva and then on the way home went to the Go kart track at Picton and let the kids have a few laps.
Nice day out.

11:26am
After doing the first 4 caches, we decided to head in a different direction for the rest of the day and this was the first on the way to our new destination.
Tim had already done this one so he took great delight in watching us do the gps dance.
Eventually, the cache was found by Swagg Agg which was quite a relief, I was starting to get very hungry!
Once Agg was done, I swapped a mini stapler for a bus and signed the log. The cache was re-hid the way it was found and we were on our way again.
A nice cache!

SWAG Tim had already done this so he sat back and smiled knowingly (even laughing at times) as Webguy and I scoured the area for the cache.
After a while he thought it was time to move on so he gave (very) subtle hints until I found the item hidden in a Tanglesque way. At least SWAG dog had plenty of time to paddle in the river.
TNLN. Thanks Tangles.

Found this one today with the Wing Nut family.
I used to swim and Kayak here when I was a lad. Too cool for a swim today, but Little Miss Wing Nut had a great time throwing rocks into the river.
Found the cache without too much searching. I actually looked in the cache hiding place initially, but not well enough. A few minutes later I had a better look, and there it was. A typical Tangles hidey hole!
Took a car and left a G-clamp.
A great hiding place.
Thanks Tangles.

Found at 12:40pm.
Well you sure know how to pick the good spots for caches Tangles. Had not taken the time to stop and get out of the car here for many years. No sooner had I pulled up than the memories came flooding back of many a summer afternoon spent swimming here.
Tricky hidey hole. I must admit it took me ages to find the cache, maybe it was the memories clouding my mind, who knows.
Thanks for the stroll down memory lane.
Took: Nothing but nostalgic pleasure.
Left: Simpsons pens.

Third time's the charm, although we probably wouldn't have found it if we hadn't already sent out a distress call, thanks leek!
Thanks for nothing, you mean... I didn't tell you anything, coz I wanted you to find it the hard way !
A very chilly morning, so too cold to swim. Found cache easily. Thanks Tangles. Took Noddy wallet and left a stapler.
Decided to have a go at this local one to kill some time, and found it within five minutes of arriving. Fun stuff, nicely hidden. Took the mirror ball - which Hannah ate on the way home (woops) - and left a noddy wallet.

Dropped in on the way back from a family BBQ. Was almost put off by the number of recent not-founds but got it fairly quickly.
Nice spot but we didn't stay for a swim.

First of four Tangles caches attempted today by zactyl and myself, and the only one we didn't find.
Looked through the logs but still not sure where you would have hidden it.

No luck looking for this one with Damo, GZ suggested a tree on the western side of the bridge, tramped around in the weeds, up and down the bank, searched under the bridge, beside the road, headed off to the next cache!
Glad you've checked it recently Tangles, probably worth another look...

After finishing up with Aqua, found that this one was walking distance away, so we thought we'd give it a quick go. Found a likely spot which matched all the criteria, but were unable to come up with the goods. Din't spend too long here.
Got to where the GPSr was telling me was GZ but could find anything. Was just about to to head off when I wondered hmmmm? Couldn't possibly be could it? Yep There it is....

here we go again, spent three hours here and did no good, once again whilst leaving was greeted by Twoball but this time he had his younger brother wiyh him, nice little skinny fella.Twoball convinced me to have another go as he reckoned his brother could fit and retrieve the cache.alas this proved to be a dead end and so decided to look around for more possible locations for this cache.after spending a further two hours here,I am now convinced either the cache no longer exists or if it does the grading on difficulty is way beyond a two.after repeated trips out here think ill just call this one a waste of time and petrol as no help is forthcoming from tangles or any other.
Once again as I arrived saw utedude get in his forby so I talked him in to staying cause I had My little brother with me(alterior motiff-read black stump).we looked were we thought it was my brother crawled and looked and felt around but came up with nothing.tried another spot similar for the same result.checked both gpsr units for correct co-ords both showed the same position, both units are the same.Although I have been using mine on lat lon and utedude on UTM.he showed me how much more acurate these units (magellan gps 310)are on UTM-amazing.Anyway we looked for another couple of hours in different spots but couldn,t find it.We must be doing something wrong I guess. So we parted and left for home but still I had already found one today but I kept that to myself, sorry utey.
Utedude, As I said to you in my e-mail yesterday, you will find lots of Aussie Cachers willing and able to help you at the discussion forum at http://geocaching.com.au/forum
Please add a message in the General Chit-Chat section to introduce yourself and let us know what problems you are having... In the meantime, persevere... it took me a couple of weeks to find my first cache...

Utedude, like Leek says, post a note up on the forums. I've sent you a couple of emails to help you locate this cache with no reply. Your AOL address bounced.
All the cache's you are trying to locate I found relativly easily so you may be doing something wrong - loading incorrect co-ords?
Do you have a map of the areas your looking for? I use topo maps and pinpoint exactly where the cache is using UTM co-ords prior to searching the cache. It makes the hunt so much easier if you have an idea where to look. You can even use a street directory as it has UTM co-ords on the borders.
Keep searching, good luck.

We have no idea what Utedudes problem is. When we returned from Queensland we contacted him offering him help and received no reply.
Last Friday we received some mail from him wanting help. We where away at Nav on the weekend and when we returned we again sent mail offering help and still no reply.
The cache is still there as I visit the area regularly as I do I lot of training nearby.
I would appreciate no other cachers giving hints to the location of any of our caches.

hey sorry guys but i never got your e-mails i take that as my fault.i think i am just too highly strung for this sport and as you have proved you are all willing to help-forgive me.maybe if i calm down i will return but for now i guess i just better let it go .thanks tangles thanks dex thanks twoball!!!
once again ventured out to this one trouble is as the notes suggest you,ll be flat out finding this one,not the problem, I reckon I know were it is but at 5foot8 and 96kg I just can,t fit under even after some minor excavation.oh and so you know I am not at all fat,so I guess you must have to be a stringbean to get it-a little discriminatory me thinks. should be stated at a higher difficulty rate or suggest a smaller companion.still seeking help of which so far none is forthcoming.makes it pretty hard to promote a sport were folk just aren,t willing to lend a fellow a hand.met twoball while leaving and suggested he go find a mate a lot smaller too as he was pretty much the same size and build as me.
met utedude as he was leaving and seemed a little disapointed.says he cant fit where he thinks the cache is.he waited and said he tried the 2 likely spots i tried and laughed when he saw me try to fit under and said something like a rock and a hard place.seems like a nice enough fella though he did voice his opinion about the lack of interest in new geocachers and how it didn,t seem that people were trying to promote the sport.had a good day though myself but couldn,t find this one think i,ll bring my younger skinny brother along next time!!!
Found easily with Ropes Jnr in tow (who admits he never would have thought of looking there!!). Smells like something died on the other side of the river!! No swaps, thanks Tangles.
Another great location. Brought the geo-kids along. Just as well, the smallest was handy to fetch the cache.
Swapped a CD for small book which can be used as a log book.
Thanks Tangles for another well located cache.

4th find out of 10 attempts for the great Memory Leak Australia Day Holiday Marathon.
Leek, Mind Socket and KitPie detoured past the general area for Black Stump, Phoenix and Let's See Them Burn This One, and decided to leave what looked like NPWS land alone for the time being. We continued on, navigating deftly towards Mangle. The distance to cache counted right down to 0.00m, so we turned around and parked the car, all set for a refreshing swim.
The water didn't look all that enticing, so we kept on caching. We had a great time scrambling around to find this one (except when Leek and I tried our hand at self inflicted consussion on separate occasions). Eventually, using tried and true discovery techniques, we uncovered the cache, disturbing something living in a crevice in the process. Didn't see what it was, but it put me off going near the container until I was sure the coast was clear. We logged the log, and I let Leek put the container back
We headed back to car, spent some time figuring out where my keys got to, and then continued on our way ...
More details and photos on my site soon.
Thanks Tangles!

4th of 7 finds in a joint Memory Leak team operation. Photos and further information on my site.
Testing the boundaries of our Sydney Street Directory, we ventured even further west to pick up this cache as well... There were at least a million places where the cache could have been hidden and we searched most of them. Finally MindSocket put his hand on the cache, but was alarmed when it moved and made a noise... One of the local wildlife was apparently sitting on the cache and it wasn't one of the normal Tangles variety of beasties...
After some contortion, we extracted and replaced the cache exactly as we had found it...

Found by Mary & David at 1010, our 400th Australian cache. Tempted to check out the Sunday market, but the lure of the cache was too strong. Plenty of alpacas to be seen though. A few lizards about and David felt like one. Quickly worked out where the cache had to be. Had no safety glasses, but the sunnies proved a more than adequate substitute. Thus equipped, we had the cache in our grasp quickly. No chance of an accidental find here. A couple of kids across the other side, but we were well screened from observation. Took snake, left masonry drills. Thanks to Tangles for a very well hidden cache.
well this one had us going for a bit but with a short walk over the main object in question helped to solve the riddle.
great place to hide it would have never found it if i had not taken the walk to SUCCESS.....
we left a toy car and took another. its our second tangles cache today 2/2

Because of the surrounding building materials it took a long time to get a true fix around here. I kept chanting to myself,,,,,,,why the safety glasses....why the safety glasses. Was it the dirt pile above us?. Saw plenty of lizards during the find and even got my feet wet. Then after about half and hour the pattern started to emerge. Tangles seems to like tight spots so..... The SNAFU probe was put to use again and bingo. Great spot...you could get lucky and find this one in a snap....but the odds are stacked against you.
The angle of the Mangle made us dangle with our knickers in a Tangle! Good one, Tangles!
On our way home from a 3 day camping trip, and decided to give this one a go. – Found GZ easily enough, but then finding the cache was another story. Read the recommendation, but it didn’t make sense. Read the clue, and I though it made sense. However, we didn’t follow through and spent another 15 minutes looking around. OK – start again, more seriously this time. – Triangulated the spot where it should be by taking readings/directions in “clear†locations, and then searching seriously. Found it. (The recommendation now made sense!). Excellent spot (will have to remember that one). Found another lizard, just like at “Sydney Geocache†yesterday, but for some reason MattS wasn’t interested in trying to catch it!
Took a frog, and left a dinosaur.

Second cache for the day and a nice easy walk in, took a little while to find even though we were on the right track from the start.
Swapped a mirror ball for a lizard.

Saw the Geomonkeys log for this one and figured out why it is not on-line. They visited on 13/11/02 which is still two months away. (They really do have a time machine)
Swapped the porche for some Rid.
Had another interesting find. Found 9 money cartridges from an ATM machine and 2 petty cash tins that had been thrown into the river. (All forced open all empty). Took them to the cops in case they are vital evidence in a robbery case.

I must apoologise for this, I had thought this cache was logged... didnt even check, and have since been away for 10 days geocaching.
we found this one late one afternoon, great location,
intresting placement.
perhaps a safety helmet would be better than the goggles, as i still have a sore spot on my head , where the bridge bit me!
we lewft Lucky the frog here, but sdomeone has since moved him on.
sorry once again.

Well I didnt think there were too many swimming holes left for you Tangles, but alas you prove me wrong..... You had to expect by dangling the mangle close to home that we would be the first finders and hey presto!!!!
I must say, by your standards I thought this cache was pretty easy. Probably not even worth the 3 stars and no booby traps - I'm disappointed.
Swapped the passes for some repellent and golf ball..... Thanks Tangles - The Rats
