Out caching around Mildura with friends. Logged as EGS. We loved the caches we found and the backroads we travelled along the way. TFTC
Our last day in the area before we head home tomorrow. A beautiful day to find some more caches here. Found with Earthlight and Shandyk, and signed the log EGS. TFTC.
Up in Mildura with LittleBoss2, Geo the puppy for a week of caching and golf. Today was a quieter day than yesterday where we managed to almost complete the Paddle Steamer series. Today we introduced a couple of Octogenarian friends to our game who completely outdid us in their ingenuity to solve various clever caches in this town with more than its share. This was thankfully a quick find with the accurate coords and a well placed container. Thanks Hurtle
Found with Bogonghazy, sorceysal, geo dog whilst caching in Mildura. Thanks for placing the geocache
*found this one as we were struggling to survive the slick dirt road's after a hefty down poor. As any good geocacher, even in a time of survival, one simply cannot just drive past a cache without signing the log.
Our first full day in Mildura and after a quite cool night some beautiful Autumn weather has been really turned on. Blue skies and warm sunshine. We are staying a bit out of town but with quite a number of well-favourited caches nearby in the bushland and a variety of types we thought we would head out amongst them and try our luck. They were located along a range of bush tracks amongst the scrub so while dusty, fun to drive. Sadly no emus of kangaroos were spotted today to add to the fun.It truly was a great day caching with a fun range of gadget caches added into the mix. We awarded quite a few favourites to celebrate them, especially as we managed to solve them all.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Hurtle.**SKI Pair****
Thanks to Hurtle for creating this cache. It was a delightful afternoon for a wander through this bushland area.
Found while having a look around the area today, staying in Mildura for the week. A quick stop on the way back into town, heaps of spider webs around GZ which seems to be common out in this part of the world. All good inside cache, cheers.Find #6988 on 18 Apr 2024.TFTC Hurtle!
Came out to grab a few caches early morning before the heat set in. This was a good one! TFTC
I had grand plans for today but the forecast of 44C is probably going to change that. Let's see what I can get done before I bake. I set off just before dawn to find as many as I could. I found a total of 10 caches, with 6 different types in that lot, and completed 3 ALs all on the bike covering 60km for the morning. Type #3 for the day. I always like a letterbox that is a letterbox. [^]
Well my trip up to QOGM started a couple of weeks ago and I took the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there. So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so after heading west and making it to Longreach time for a break from the travelling. So after a couple big days out to Stonehenge, Isisford and Ilfracombe, The Tritonz and Roaming Howie finally joined me and we did the puzzle trail. Then a fun first muster day to Muttaburra and back then a great tea event and a few more caches.A trip to Stonehenge and back again for them. The second muster day and boy what a busy day as there was a lot going on in the car with everything we had to do.Collect trads, look at photos, find some forks and then some property numbers as well. The Mexicans as we were called teamed up with a couple of other cars The Morris and Pool Pool to have a lot of fun over the radio.Well all the caches have been found and after another great dinner event QOGM has officially finished. This was my first QOGM and I had a great time, but all good things must come to end and today I must start heading towards home but Im also taking the very long way around back to Victoria. So this was state # 4 for me on this trip.Roaming Howie is joined me on part of the Strzelecki track and left me at Camerons Corner.I continued on down the track and and eventually reached the black stuff again and stayed at Copley then Wentworth. The question for the day is will I reach Melbourne or make my holiday last one more night. So after finding a few more of the great gadget series around here the decision was made that I wont be home tonight.Continuing along the tracks and I have reached the back of the airstrip.A big thank you from me as well to the COs around Mildura. Thanks Hurtle TFTC.
Found with SifiRulz nannynomad and joybells53 signed as dylz.
Beautiful day to be out and about. Thankyou for placing this cache for us to find.

Found with nannynomad, MazzyMay and Joybell53. Today we decided to head out for some gadget caches then we continued with some others in the area. I stamped the log and then stamped my Letterbox record book with the stamp in the cache. TFTC
Found with joybell53 don't have a stamp so just signed log. Long way to come to post a letter greeting from Ballarat

Found while on a fabulous weekend away to Mildura to complete the Paddlesteamer & Turtle geoarts, and various trads, multis + gadget caches. The Canberra crew included Nibletricecakes, joolay, kittykatch, youban, dty73, tankengine, barb2e, Klsarc & albida33. We signed as Mildura May Adventures 23 (MMA23). Unless otherwise mentioned, all caches were quickly found. TFTC.
Today was our second day adventuring together in the district. Out to tackle the Paddlesteamer and as many other amazing caches as we can with a lovely bunch of Canberra friends! Always fantastic to be able to get away for a long weekend of caching together. Loved the red dust and the crazy caching trails. Thanks for all the hard work from COs make and maintain these caches. Called our trip the Mildura May Adventure so signed as MMA or MMA23 today. Great to be caching with you KLSARC, GLISS! Albida33, Kittykatch, Barb2e, Joolay, Tankengine, DTY73 and youban. Thanks for a great weekend everyone. Thanks for the cache.
Southern Autumn adventure Day 54. Mildura Paddle Steamer Trip Day 3. After a huge day, the MAA team (Mildura Autumn Attack and we consisted of Nibletricecakes, Gliss!, Joolay, Kitty Katch, Barb2e, Tankengine, dty73, Youban and Albida33) headed back to the Paddle Steamer to finish the last bit. It did not take too long, and the whole series has been a joy of accurate and present caches. The next goal was the various Gadget caches rear Red Cliffs and then by the Gliding field. The day was completed with an all out effort to get to all the Turtle caches. Plenty of drive bys, but a few fun walks on muddy flats. This was another great series. A few of us gathered for take away dinner and retired for what rest could be achieved before tomorrows activities.
The various themed and gadget style caches we did today were all great and enjoyable after the series caching we have mostly done.
Thanks for the cache Hurtle

Tankengine, Youban and I came to Mildura for the weekend for a bit of caching with a bunch of other Canberrans (signed caches we did together as - MMA. Which I think stood for Mildura May Adventurers. It’s so hard coming up with group names).
We had an awesome time and ate at some really nice places, met a whole bunch of lovely people and found some great caches. Thanks to all the COs for their placements and my caching friends for their help and great company.
This cache: Feels like we are in the middle of nowhere. Nice letterbox! Tftc!!!

Together with my son, I am on a camping trip from Sydney to Broken Hill and back. On our 3000 km journey over 11 days we have seen some wonderful little towns, beautiful landscapes and many interesting geocaches.
Noticing the large number of favourite points awarded. I drove to caches around the Mildura glider airfield. It turned out to be a great afternoon driving across the sand tracks to some very creative caches. This 'Thank You' cache was a quick and easy find.

#16762 - 6:22:00 PM; After spending the night in Mildura on the way home from South Australia after collecting the geomobile with Sol de lune, today we set out to collect some of the caches in the area we didn't pick up on previous visits. We managed a good variety of caches and cache types as we made our way around the city and then further afield in our quest. All caches were found in good order considering the recent weather conditions and were returned as found once we had signed the log. TFTC Hurtle
Out this way with LuckyL10n before heading back to Canberra and we hit up this line of caches before heading back to our accomm.
No issues with this one and our names were soon in the log.
Thanks for this one Hurtle....

Full time nomads visiting Mildura to finally tackle the Paddle Steamer with iluvtrekking. Of course we have to stop in town and find some caches here before we go 'bush'. Great weather this morning so the 'Mr' Team headed out to add some smilies to our lists whilst the 'Mrs' did important stuff like sleeping in, shopping, washing and oh resting. The afternoon thunderstorm was not on the plan so looks like we will be delayed some. Yet more fave points dished out today.

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure, yes I know we have wandered over the border. Never mind, it is a wonderful day and we have joined forces with FelixII so we are off to see what we can find. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

fitzy_1965 and I decided to head away for an extra long weekend so that we could attend the Tri-State Community Celebration Events along with the other events that have popped up.
A fantastic time was had and a nice number of caches found. Thanks to all the CO's for holding the events and/or placing the caches.
We spent the night at the Euston Club Hotel: an amazing room for only $90 and thanks to Service NSW for pitching in the other $50. Up early to make the trek back to Mildura for breakfast at a local cafe. A tad noisy but not complaining about the company! Whilst at breakfast we made plans to Yushaun & Laighside Legends to do the Lock Island wherigo and a couple more along the way then the new virtual before heading back to NSW for the morning CITO. Next was a couple of multis before tackling more of the Turtle series. Looking for something to do before heading to the last event for the weekend, we stumbled this fantastic area dotted with 4Moule/TheMoules gadget caches. Just fantastic with lots of favourite points given out! Now picking up a few more as we head to the event in the Murray-Sunset area.
It was wonderful to see cachers we hadn't seen for a while and to meet several new ones. There ended up being cachers from SA, Vic, NSW, Tas & QLD! Amazing!

28,511. Found with minniek while visiting the region for the Tri-State Community Events/International Geocaching Day weekend.
When minniek and I heard about the huge 8 event weekend (4 Community Celebration Events, 3 'normal' events and 1 CITO) to be held in Berri/Wentworth/Mildura/Euston celebrating International Geocaching Day, we knew that we wanted to be there. After two very busy days, we enjoyed the hour sitting enjoying a coffee and a nice breakfast to get the energy for the day ahead. We then headed out for more caches. This was the next one. We started to head down to the Camping CCE location when we discovered this group of amazing caches. Each and every one a great cache. Quick find at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on to the next one.
Thanks Hurtle !! Fav Point. I quite enjoyed the drive around here in our quasi-4WD

The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.
This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...
Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.
Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

Out caching today with Wollaston and SeasonedBird. Perfect day for caching thanks hurtle for arranging.
Started the day over coffee ️ with Mrs 4Moule and her mini-me I have decided that any day it’s not blowing a gale is a good day in these parts to do outdoorsy stuff. So toddled over here to sort out the go-go gadget caches and explore the landscape. This trail and was great value Ended the day hosing down Star the geocar A few smileys = a happy geocacher.
So nice of the SA mob to leave a few hides for the locals, this is a fantastic region for caching. Scooted over to GZ on foot for a quick find. All good here

A quick find with frmen1. An easy letterbox. A bit more coverage from Mother Nature placed on top. TFTC
We had heard there are some really cool caches out near the airport, so we made our way to the one that was the furthest in. This was the cache. Our second Letterbox for the day. The Geodogs had jumped out of A'Tuin the Geomobile around 1km before the cache with Mrs. Dromaniax as they needed to stretch their legs. Mr. Dromaniax parked nearby and wandered over to the cache. It is quite easy to work out where the cache is hidden in an area with such sparse vegetation, and this was a very quick find. The cache is in excellent condition. Thank you for this cache, Hurtle.

In Mildura for a few days with Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet, Happy Pants and The Empire.
After finishing off the GOT series it was time for Me to do the turtle series, it was a little challenging getting to some locations but I managed to get them all done.
The highlight for the day were the fantastic gadget caches in the area.

This was a great opportunity to get away with some caching friends in Mildura. The plan was to hit some of the local trails and geo art. There was many other hides discovered, with some really great containers and hides in the area.
A quick and easy find at GZ.
Thanks Hurtle for placing the cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy the find.

Here in Mildura for a few days with Snap Happy, omegaman1971, Happy Feet and Happy Pants.
Once we'd finished finding the nearby turtle series geoart, we were keen to keep on caching into the late afternoon, then on and into the night. "There's another one over here" was the saying heard most today. We found a plethora of different cache types, hide styles and were happily perplexed at some GZs! I was also able to dish out many favourite points. Thanks for the cache Hurtle.

Cache was in good condition and as it was in the area we were exploring, we just had to collect it.
FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, LíB and myself found a number of caches outside of the Paddle steamer and Turtle Series whilst in the area.
Most of the caches are stamped as The Mob (consisting of The Drovers, LíB, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, and myself), however a handful contain our own caching names or initials.
2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip was spontaneously planned and I was able to pull together a number of my caching friends who hadn't cached together before to form "The Mob".
LíB and I started in SA, drove to Victoria and ended our trip in SA; FurfacesLL and Rapidlywild came from Canberra and The Drovers began their journey from NSW; and then a few days later, feathertop from Victoria, joined us to complete the On Your Bike Series and other caches in SA.
We filled our days with piling in cars, hard core caching, Adventure Labs, crazy funny CB radio chatter, some laughter, some tense moments (OMG some of the ladder and tree climbs on this trip were crazy!), lots of lovely meals and even live music from a band called "Kung Fu Jesus" - nope, that is no joke.
We had hot weather each day (well into 30s), so I am thrilled that I now own a car fridge to keep the drinks icy cold (loving them at about 1 degree celcius).
A sincere thanks to Hurtle for placing this cache.

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA.
With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
After completing the PS series we split up as The Drovers had already done the ones we were about to do.
We still signed the logs as either The Mob or put our initials in the logs.
There were a lot of different kinds of hides here which really good. Nice to have something a little different.
It took us a bit to try and get into this one. Couldn't work out the best road to get to it.
But we got there in there end. Quick find and sign and on our way.

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.
We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.
Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.
Was day 3 of our trip away and today we were back out to finish off the PS Series with "The Mob" consisting of GoodLook, The Drovers, FurfacesLL, LiB and myself. We managed to get heaps done yesterday so only needed a couple hours out on these today then The Drovers went off to do some caches they had left unfound whilst the rest of us went to do some around Mildura/Red Cliffs that they had already found.
Making our way around doing the custom caches, we spotted this letterbox so we made our way over towards it. The GPSr didnt have these "roads" on it so google sat images came in handy No issues once at GZ for a quick find.
Thanks for the hides Hurtle And thanks to "The Mob" for a trip to remember [^].

A plan was made for a group of us, (mogni, sir_spectre, allister w, BratKat and myself) to head over to Mildura for the long weekend as the borders are now open and we wouldn't have to quarantine on the way back. [^]
Two of us spent a long time solving all the puzzles in the Turtle and Paddle Steamer series along with the other puzzles around Mildura, but they were put away waiting for the time when we could get over to find the caches.
We had a very busy weekend and managed to find all of the Turtle and Paddle Steamer caches along with some of the high favourited caches, an Adventure Lab, one night cache, quite a few gadget caches and a couple of water caches...and then we ran out of time.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had a great time finding lots of different caches and we will have to make a return trip to find those that we didn't get around to.
All caches stamped "Mystery Randoms" [^]
After completing the Turtle Series and the PS Series today was a day to get some of the cool caches that we had heard about including a couple of water caches.
A quick find here after completing the nearby trail of gadget caches. We have really enjoyed the caches in and around Mildura.
Thanks for the cache Hurtle.

quick find.
A group of South Australians jumped to border in to Victoria for the long weekend. The group was Allister W, JJ52, Mogni, Sir_spectre, and BratKat. All logs stamped as " Mystery Random's ". We left Adelaide and headed over to Mildura. The target for the puzzlers was to clear the highway caches then complete the " Turtle series " and the " Paddle Steamer series " since they had solved all the puzzles before coming over. My target was the D5/T5 underwater field puzzle and also hoping to get up to 13000 finds this trip ( that was achieved ). Once those goals where filled we mainly targeted caches with high favourite points and started on the many multi's that are in Mildura. I highly enjoyed the field puzzles and themed caches from the locals and sorry to say that we only did 1 of the night caches. On the 2nd night after doing 356 caches during the day it bucketed down that night and we had a beer/wine or two instead. We will be back, maybe not this year, but it will be the sooner, not later.

A long weekend with a big plan. A group attack on the powertrails near Mildura. Two of us solved all the puzzles and then covid hit so they got put into the get around to it one day basket... Covid back under control so a plan was hatched to go interstate for the first time in over a year and be allowed to return without having to isolate for 2 weeks. Joined up with sir_spectre, JJ52, Allister W and Bratkat. We cached as the mystery randoms which suited us while well. Both powertrails were found and we managed to grab a few others while travelling around. I am usually a regular visitor Mildura but it had been a couple of years between trips. I am sure we will all be back to complete the many great caches we researched but din't have time to find. Thanks for a great weekend.

Found on a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Team Waldron, Brisal5 and FeatherWaite. Our main targets were the Paddle Steamer and Turtle geoart series' but we also took the opportunity to seek out a few other caches along the way.
We were fortunate with the weather. After a burst of very hot days, we timed our trip nicely to coincide with the milder conditions before the next hot spell. That helped to make both the caching and the camping along the Murray River and in the Murray-Sunset National Park very pleasant.
We ended up finding all the caches that we had targeted. Most were in good order. Some of the puzzles were quite challenging and there were some very novel and entertaining multi's. Some certainly took a bit of finding and there were many very clever and/or tricky caches and containers that were a credit to the cache owners’ ingenuity.
It would have been good to have had another day or two to complete the remaining caches in the area, but I’m sure we’ll be back.
Thanks to all the cache owners for the hides.

Over from SA for 4 days of caching with Egregory1, Featherwaite and Brisal5.
We came primarily to do the Paddlesteamer series but picked up orthers as we drove around.
Apologies for the generis logs.
All caches we found were in good order.

I have seen a T shirt with Sleep Eat Cache Repeat [^] Well a four day trip to Mildura with caching friends Team Waldron, E.gregory and FeatherWaite certainly fit that bill. Logs were signed with initials only for the teams - BEFW
Up at daybreak, quick breakfast and cache all day stopping only to have a snack whilst out on the trails, rush to set up camp near dusk for a meal, then perhaps some night caching, early night and REPEAT!
Strategic camping at Kings Billabong, Rocket lake and The Common meant we were close by the Geoart and target night caches. Two previous trips in 2013 and 2016 by me and some by E.gregory meant we visited some (well quite a few actually) previous finds but that made it quick for the people that hadn't found them previously.
I can't thank the CO's of these caches enough as some were really very inventive. Even having solved most puzzles before we came we were confronted with field puzzles and gadgets that were just mind boggling. [:X][:X][:X]
***Thanks Hurtle for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***
Logs prepared and published through GSAK.

Found during a trip from Adelaide to the Mildura area for a few days of caching with Brisal5, e.gregory1 and Team Waldron with the main aim to complete the Paddle Steamer and Turtle GeoArt series but also to find other caches along the way. We camped out on the banks of the Murray River near Mildura on the first night, at Rocket Lake campground in the Murray-Sunset National Park on the second night, then back to the banks of the Murray River near Merbein on the last night. We signed the logs as B.E.F.W. Thanks to all the cache owners for placing the cache!
A quieter day today after two hectic days of caching. Popped out in the late afternoon to find a couple as the afternoon started to cool. There was an abundance of beautiful white wildflowers in this area, laid out like a carpet. Some tentative steps with a big stick as I approached ground zero, just in case.
Hi there Hurtle.
We found your cache **"Post Your Thanks Here"** at 12:31:00 PM today.
We found this really inventive cache together with Doheng, Darcey and Ruben (a delightful pair of muggle kids Doheng were introducing to the pastime).
We thoroughly enjoyed our cache hunt today and have given each one a favourite point for the novelty value of their hide. Thanks also for not placing an eclipse tin or a 200ml Sistema along the track here. It made us feel really good to find this regular sized cache.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge
Thank you Hurtle for adding to our adventure.
Regards
Ian & Penny

While in the area picking up some fun caches we spotted this one in the distance, so we couldn’t resist continuing on and finding this letterbox, to add to our tally for the day.

With NSW now out of bounds, today we focussed on Mildura.
Found this LB just as a light aircraft came in for landing.

TFTC hurtle , agree that the Mildura cachers deserve thanks for the entertainment they give to so many cachers
Here is a blurb about us
We are trying to get a badge ,the author ,from project GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to get badges for adding photos to our found logs .
We started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full-time, living in a caravan for almost 2 years now, caching fits in well with this lifestyle. It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone. When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there in order to get the caches we want.
We are in Mildura for a few days and will try to get some caches in town and surrounding areas. Paddle steamer series is on our list, hope we can make a few smilies there to add to our find tally. We are looking forward to the variety of hides we will encounter. Thank you for your work in placement and ongoing effort for maintenance of caches.

Our own personal Trackable " Cache the World " has the code #1WDM83
Its mission is to be discovered by cachers all around the world, please feel free to discover it and mention where you saw its code.
Will definately be dropping a few of these when we find a cache that is big enough.
Once again thanks for the cache.

Found by Mary and David with pprass at 12:30. And we thank you, Hurtle, as well as Mildura. We've been here for a few nights to do the new Paddle Steamer series. Our thanks to Hurtle.
Found at 12:31 PM in the company of maccamob, GAFF1.
We were having a lot of fun getting to these caches and then working out what to do once we arrived. This was a bit of a surprise extra that we weren't expecting
Thanks Hurtle

Find #1400!
Easy find today with Rohkad. I quite likely the container! Could use with an extra nail. I tried to cover it up as best as i could but it is fairly visible at GZ, not visible from the track though.
