Around the area while it was relatively quiet picking up the odd cache or two, this one took a bit to find, given a favourite on the cleverness

Without giving too much away, I had visited this GZ once before, and decided that the cache was THERE, and that I would have to come back late tonight. So that’s what I did tonight, but it turns out that the cache wasn’t THERE after all. So a hurried reassessment, and the cache was found in a spot that I probably could have accessed first time around.

Thanks for this hide aprikot.

Breakfast at The Watershed with a beautiful, muggle , friend whom later helped me find some caches.
The same muggle friend was with me earlier this year when I was searching for this elusive cache. Neither of us could find it then but today, well, I just seen it! Weird how that happens.

Definitely deserves a . Excellent work aprikot.

Second time looking for this one. Bingo. Why didn't I see this before! TFTC. Favourite point winner!

16-May-21
Found during a trip out to the northern suburbs to locate a few caches I was unable to find on a previous visit. This was one of them where I'd spent way too long searching lots of potential hiding spots. Quick find today though. Thanks for the cache aprikot!

26-Apr-21
We looked up high, we stood back and stared, we climbed some steps and looked down, we wandered around but no luck. We will have to revisit this at a later date to see if we can find and sign.
An early start on my bicycle enjoying a little sunshine chasing a few caches. Loving life.
Caught up to a friend, bicycle ended up in her car boot , lunch in Mawson Lakes, then the two of us wandered around the uni trying to find some caches. Living the dream.
Keep smiling

Out and about for one of my semi-regular caching days with geomum, Doctor Owl (and the first one under a new name - something I almost forgot a few times while signing logs). Thankfully there was a lot less time between the previous one and this one as I wasn't stuck in Victoria, as I was this time last year. As is often the case, we didn't really have a plan rather that meadering to a vague area where some caches Doctor Owl was interested in getting, while detouring and stopping for any that we passed which I hadn't got (which to be honest) is a lot of caches).
On our walk from the car, Doctor Owl regaled me with stories about her DNF and then eventual find on this cache and, as such, gave me some guidance when finding this cache. Very nice camo but there was a bit of a scary sign nearby and this cacher is an anxious individual. I am glad I had my geomum there to help. TFTC.

Omg what a great hide. I’m still looking in the wrong place but then I thought. Let’s stand back and think and look what’s should be there but not. Omg I find it. Found with superman_22 and I can’t wait to show Giselle when I see her. Favourite point here.

Well we think we did but wasn’t quite sure but we went back to the car and use hand sanitizer. It got dark and of course the mozzie came out. We will have another look during the day.

Trying for another aprikot cache to try to understand the CO’s hiding style/methods.
Nice camo for this one. Perhaps a bit out of place but would be easy to miss. Fortunately I had a TOTT in my pocket which proved helpful.
I suspect Finding Ryan does not use this camo method.

Thanks again aprikot Smile

This afternoon/evening, gridge98 and I headed north-east to around the Redwood Park area to find a few suburban geocaches. We started at Redwood Park, and ended up proceeding through Banksia Park, Golden Grove, and finally Mawson Lakes. It was a nice warm evening that felt like the first signs of spring and summer, which had us reasonably happy geocaching in the dark.

Wow, this cache was awesome! I was soon hunting around in typical cache hiding places, until gridge98 put me out of my misery and gave me a hint. I then soon discovered something out of place! A very good hide, and well worthy of a Favourite Point! More caches like these in the area! The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks aprikot for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

I had read the info on this one before I left home. Yet I had not identified it as I walked up for the find. Stupidly I went for the obvious, damn. Back to the car to clean off and sanitise. Back to GZ where I spent ages just circling looking for the obvious. I gave up and returned to the car to read some more. Eventually it twigged, and I grabbed the other one.

This is a fantastic hide, kudos to you. Such a pleasure to find a cache of this quality. I accept the time it took for the difficulty score obtained. FP4U on this one. Keep this kind coming, great stuff.

I started 2020 with some improbable caching goals that only lasted until mid February. Red Face
Then came Covid-19 and caching began to take a back seat. Twisted
But with restrictions easing and socially responsible caching again possible it is time to start filling the calendars again. Wink

Another fun filled day for a menagerie of puzzle solving animals. A Starfish, a Snake, a Rat and an Owl headed out in search of smilies. Razz Today we were chasing potions and anything else we came across. Cool

Almost a year ago I was here for a spectacular DNF that attracted too much attention and left just before the campus cops arrived. Surprised Luckily for me my compatriots had been back in the meantime and found the cache and gave me some hints as to where it was. [^] Still my GPS didn't want me near where they suggested and I was very anxious after the last time. [8)][8)]
Further - no further. Okay GPS in pock and further I went looking looking. That is different. Razz indeed it was the cache. Smile quickly stamped I was still uneasy and eager to get out of there. [:o)] Always good to get a DNF off the ever growing list. Big Grin

***Thanks aprikot for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Back in the neighbourhood tonight and let's have another look...
When I came before, had little time and no luck.
This time... pretty much just walked up and went "there's the cache!".

Ok it gets a fav point for being nicely evil, and not another mint tin Big Grin

We are only finding caches at an acceptable social distance, and the campus is pretty empty right now Surprised

With the help of Sebastbat often driving, and Jack just hangin' around.

And our good friends soap, water, and alcohol... Razz

Twisted Stay away from smelly humans Twisted

Surprised wear gloves, but please change them between caches! Surprised

Wow, what a great cache. Don’t know if it will stand the test of time but a great hide. We were off by a few meters and had a totally different find in mind.

Very clever. TFTC A fave point.

Awesome hide! Love this. First cache of 2020!

18-Dec-19
Decided to see if I could find this one after a dnf earlier in the year when I was being stalked by the parking camera car. Today spied the cache almost immediately which was good as it was so hot I didn't fancy a long search. Quickly stamped and returned. Parking here much easier at 5pm! TFTC aprikot, awarding a FP as not seen one like this before and it is clever.

I saw this one on my map a while back and decided when i'm out this way again, i'll grab it Cool

Today, Saturday the 23rd of November 2019, i ducked in quickly before 09:00 and made the find after about a 5 minute search.
An impressive cache, i like it Wink It fooled me for a bit then i thought i'd just try something and the cache was in hand and it's log as signed at 08:42 [^]

Not a Muggle in sight, sweet as!

Veni . Vidi. Vici. Scripsi.
Was heading home and had to run an errands on the way. Errand 1 was completed quicker than expected so had a few minutes before the next errand was due so decided to detour in and make the find. Eventually found a carpark nearby and wandered over to GZ. Like others before me I checked out the large obvious object that really should not be touched. Then I turned to really start the search. Spotted something that did not make sense, checked it out and hey presto, a cache. Extracted the log and signed it. then replaced the cache in its clever hide. Fave for this one. Well done.

Thanks for the cache aprikot.

As this is on a semi-regular route between Innovation House and Mawson Central, there had been two precious cursory looks for this cache that came up empty handed. Today, with a little more time to loiter, it was found nearly straight away. Clever. TFTC

18-Oct-19
Amazing hide. TM grabbed it straight away

28-Sep-19
Nice cache! Was looking for a while but just as we were about to leave we had a quick look at something that didn’t quite add up and there it was! .TFTC

28-Sep-19
What a cheeky hide. Right as we were giving up to go back and watch the footy. I snagged the hide. Tftc

16-Sep-19
Re-conned this a few weeks back, but too many muggles thwarted a decent search over a lengthy period.
Came back today and spotted the hide almost straight away!
Nice work.

Thanks

Wow awesome cache
Not seen one like that one.

The second, for me, of two new trads in Mawson Lakes. Had read logs and thought a saturday visit would be a good idea. Also knew not to worry about the fake plastic rock, but look for something clever.
And clever is what I found.
Thanks aprikot for the cache

28-Aug-19
A second attempt with the Rat after a previous DNF that should have been a FTF. A clever hide, why didn't we see that last time.

TFTC and a fav for the cache.

28-Aug-19
Back here today for a second try.
How we did not see that last time. Tftc

A rare Astro fav for this one. A tricky brilliant hide that had us going under the cover of the shadows of the night. Love your work!

Thanks aprikot and clear skies from TeamAstro. ️ Cache the planet!

Now that was ever so almost evil. Or maybe it was just downright evil. Great job. Favourite point from me and TFTC

25-Aug-19
Owl was back in the area, but a Sunday afternoon was only marginally quieter that her previous visit. Lookout Hawk was concerned about the level of exposure, so after a brief search Owl PaFed for further instructions. Not quite where the previous search had concentrated and in a place that could not have made searching more suspicious if the CO had tried! Just as well security were having a day of rest or a second attempt at apprehension might have resulted!

25-Aug-19
Found with Gizmos Gang and clare007!! We searched in all the wrong spots before Carol had the "Ah Ha" moment!! Thanks for the hide!!!

25-Aug-19
After stopping at Port Adelaide markets for lunch, a cache and a look around.
We finally made our way to Mawson Lakes.
I know the area well, especially the UniSA campus.
We spent some time looking for anything resembling a sneaky hide.
Gizmo's Gang had her detective hat on & noticed a few things around gz which didn't add up.
Very clever aprikot, although it might confuse the campus maintenance crew.
A favourite point for the sneaky hide & location

25-Aug-19
Found with CPwanderer and clare007 on an urban caching run.
We felt a bit exposed in this very public area but being a Sunday afternoon we decided it was worth an attempt to locate this one.
Looked in several spots to no avail until I spotted something that I had actually considered for a future hide.
Coords are accurate so it was just a matter of thinking outside the box. A favourite from me.
