Log is very wet unwritable and workers have been so now it is on a pole tftc
An impromptu picnic had us on the northern beaches today enjoying some beautiful weather while we managed to grab some local caches.
The log is very wet and I had to etch my name. The CO needs to check on this one

Thanks for the find. Log is very wet and I only had a pencil, so hard to write on.
Long grass and bugs was all I found here. I have no idea what I was supposed to be looking for.
On my way to the Hunter expedition in Maitland, picking caches up along the way.

Took a bit of looking around at first and the grass was very long with a bunch os spiders. Would definitely recommend long pants.

Took a while to reach GZ - not too keen on walking through long grass. Eventually made it. TFTC
After an earlier attempt I was waiting until it was confirmed to be here. This time I found it no problem. The log is very wet and unsignable. TFTC
We quickly found a suitable approach and made our way to the GZ. Lots of people hitting golf balls, so we wanted to be quick and stay out of sight.
One of the earlier comments helped us out and we found it on the ground. Log book was wet and we couldn't sign it. TFTC.

Found this cache and when I opened it, was full of water. Signed a scrap bit of paper I had and replace as found.
I must be out of practice! Another day perhaps. The hint really didn’t really help me at all.
Look in the bush area between climbing frame & driving range! Kids loved the search.
Out and about today so we picked this one up.
Was lying on the ground with nothing covering it. We covered it with something.
We signed the log.
Took nothing and left nothing.
Thanks for the geocache

I had some time before my next job so, being in the vicinity, I thought I would give this one a whirl. I approached from one direction only to discover an Amazonian jungle in my way. Looked for an alternative and soon found a way in. Arriving at GZ, I found the cache lying at the base of an object that was quite out of place for here. Not sure if it was supposed to be on the object. In any case, there was no attachment device. Upon leaving, I noticed a gazillion farmer's friends had attached to me so arriving back at the car, I spent the next 10 minutes removing them. Another smiley added to my total. Thanks OME.

Plenty of yellow golf balls around here. I took way longer than I should have spinning the top of the cache around before figuring out how to get inside. Thanks for the cache.
Popped in after recycling. Thought it was going to be inside the pole but alas... Tftc
A nice easy find after work today.
There were people out using the range but luckily i was able to avoid being hit while signing the log.
Thanks.

Another cache I had put on hold. Using my GPS, I came to a point where I would have had to bushbash through the undergrowth. Was there an easier way? Just look around, found a better way in to quickly find the cache. The golfballs hitting the safety fence did put me off a bit.

The plan today was to have a family BBQ in Lane Cove NP and so I thought I would have a chance to get the oldest cache in Australia (Lane Cove). As I was also close to the 3000 milestone I got up early and thought I would try and get the 13 caches required to allow the milestone to be achieved. I originally planned two hours but took a bit longer but achieved the goal by 9:30 - 7 Adventure Lab, 2 puzzles, a multi, an earthcache and 2 traditionals. Also had attempt at 3 others but was more once they were not immediately obvious I kept going to keep to the schedule - I will be back.
Had a quick look around the basketball court but there was just too many people around even early on a Sunday morning to have a clear look (just felt a little dodgy). So headed up the hill and parked at the empty playground and set off. Through the long wet grass and farmer’s fiends and quickly had the cache spotted. I am certain it was an ingenious design originally but a little worse for wear now. Log signed and then on to the next.

After months of staying at home and no finds, with the kids back at school I finally managed to get back out hunting. I’m glad I left his one until winter, as I suspect I would have found worse than dew in the long grass on my way in! A nice little easy find to get me back into the game.

Out for lunch supplies with MrSmith00, a nearby cache was targeted.
We initially had soon trouble approaching the GZ, but eventually found the relatively easy way.
The unusual camo was quickly discovered, and we passed the final test, managing to complete our signing duties and replace.

Tftc, been a while between caches. Finely managed to head out for one today, my closest unfound to home.
Not too many people around this park early on. Friday afternoon. Made my way around the nice playground into snaky-city. Looks like recent rain has made the undergrowth shoot up which means I couldn’t tell if any creatures were underfoot. Made it to GZ and found an item very appropriate to the cache name, a soggy log and a container of relevant local ‘t-ools’. I put a replacement log in the ‘tool kit’. And then, successfully un-snake-bit, made it to shorter lawn. Thanks for bringing me here. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Filling in some missing calender days and this was an easy target. Thanks for the hide.
An easy find late at night, however the cache is in a bit of a state. The log scroll is completely soaked.

Decided to go for a walk to Bunnings and kept coming to get this cache. Lost pen along the way. Hope photo of record strip will suffice. Tftc
We enjoyed a quiet lunch at the nearby shelter then headed up towards GZ. There were only a few golfers here today and none were wild enough to lob a ball onto us, although we did find 2 balls near GZ. I liked the cache and hiding method but walking to it through the longish grass was a bit scary on such a hot day. After logging we walked back past dozens of golf balls that had gone over the fence, so it could be dangerous here when the hackers turn up. Thanks Old Man Emu for a good hide,we liked it.
Knowing this one didn't have pen capability I borrowed one from "The Pen Cache " nearby.
Easy find, clever little camo here.
Very wary of snakes today but none apparent.
Signed and pen returned to its home on the way back to the car.
Thanks Old Man Emu

After a few finds today to up my calendar find count - especially after only getting one yesterday. Decided to head north for a few of the newer placements.
Started in an area I've visited a few times, and then worked my way back towards home. Found all three without any real problems.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Well... can I say that a wak through long grass with a liberal sprinkling of farmers' friends isn't the best spot for a hide - I was constantly peering into the grass in case something slithery was laying low.
Luckily nothing was encountered - except for the farmers' friends that took a good 5 minutes to remove once I was back on the path.
As for the cache, the iPhone wanted me five metres further along, so I initially walked past it. But I quickly returned to the right spot for the find.
Log was damp, so I let it dry in the sun for a few minutes, but the container is not waterproof, and was wet inside.
Completed signing duties, replaced and carefully made my way out.

Out today in the heat and the winds to find a cache for a calendar spot.
This was a quick find.
Very cute container.
I found that the log has become wet, but I managed to sign it and place it all back.

Grabbed this new one as I’m working out this way today. Once at GZ a quick find was made in a muggle free location. TFTC
With some time to kill, I wandered up here but being a random trip I'd come completely unprepared, sans plume. Of course, that's not such a problem here and after walking the 550m to the nearest cache of pens and back, I was signing. Thanks Old Man Emu.
Today we headed up to Hornsby to do some shopping, stopping off on the way at Turramurra for a solved Mystery/Puzzle cache, and then after the shopping to do some caching around Normanhurst for another solved Mystery/Puzzle cache and a couple of new Traditionals. Also revisited an old DNF and another waypoint of a longish Multi that we have been slowly working on. This was the 4th of 5 finds, and 1 waypoint, for the day.
After finding "Nowadays Clancy Can't Even Sing !" we next came to this one, being the second of the two new Traditionals in Brickpit Park. Parked the geomobile at the playground, and then headed up and around the grassy circle to GZ for a quick find of something that goes around & around. But we think the days of this one going around & around, operationally at least, are well and truly over . TNLNSL, and then replaced as found.
Again didn't see any dice in the cache, so again we couldn't "roll a number" as requested by the CO. TFTC Old Man Emu.

Round for two hides this afternoon, short walk uphill around the loop, well half way anyway. Will complete that on my way back.
Collected some friends on the jeans enroute to GZ at where an array of items confronted me. Not in the first one but out it came in the second for me to sign away, thanks Old Man Emu

On my way along Pennant Hill Road, picking up the odd cache along the way.
After parking at Brickpit, I walked over to the cache location, passing some cool playground equipment on the way.
Around GZ it is snake territory, so I was very alert. The cache was quickly found. A bit of a weird collection of items made up this cache, without a proper container.
Once logged I put everything back into the grass and went on. I was sure the next caches would be a bit more interesting.

Round and round Sydney on today's jobs. Poor details meant I actually ended up about 200m from where my first port of call was. Still I found this cache on the way round.
I went into The Brickpit - they certainly have improved this area since I used to live in the area and walk by with the earlier geodog model.
Once the geomobile was in a shady spot I began the walk to GZ. Great looking kids equipment area! I decided to have a go on the flying fox on the walk back - never too old for some fun.
There was someone ahead of me. Turned out to be the CO, nice to meet you. We had a chat and I was first to sign the new logsheet.
Headed off to the next job on the round and round drive. Oops, forgot the flying fox!
TFTC # 3529
P.S. I threw a three with the dice.

Log replaced with much better container. Chatted to JackScruff. Good to see you ! Found two more golf balls.
#1671 First of two finds around the area on the way home from work. Found after a short search. The hardest part was finding a geotrial to GZ. With I opened the container the logsheet was missing so I have left a temporary paper roll. TFTC

Day 6 of the souvenir streak. We needed to find a cache and this new one fitted the bill. A
direct path through a patch of Bidens Pilosa didn't quite appeal to us, so we took a longer way around. Hearing the golf balls hitting the fence was a bit unnerving, almost akin to muggles watching you. Found the the cache easily enough. We rolled a 5. . Another interesting hide. Only problem was that the log was soggy with all the rain. Thanks OME

‘T’was only recently that I was searching for the other new brick pit cache. This one had me wading through long wet grass to get to GZ. Found an interesting contraption that goes well with the theme. The familiar stopper was soon removed to reveal the log. It was only when replacing that I spotted the separate toy container

Companions: Geokid14
Muggles: None
Weather: Pleasant winter afternoon
Cache condition: Good
I attended a father/son "golf day" at the centre next door, with a game of putt putt followed by a bucket at the driving range. I didn't get anywhere close to the back of the range, and GK14 struggled (his first time), but it was a fun afternoon. Afterwards we headed over to the playground, which we know well as we used to often stop here on the way to our previous home from school. GK14 tested the equipment for old-time's-sake while I searched for this cache. It was a bit of a rough path, but didn't take too long for me to find the interesting container. TNLNSL TFTC

Made my way up, with hardly anyone using the play facilities today. Found a way in that didn't involve the Farmers Friends and made a quick find. Not the most inspiring location but still a smiley. Thanks Old Man Emu.
I hadn’t been planning on participating in Streak Week but this new one popped-up near home so I decided to keep my options open by grabbing it. It's an interesting setup, but I quickly spotted the sneaky log.
I met rozway and Bedlem2 as they were departing GZ. Nice to meet you.

Found with the aid of a torch as I left it a bit late in the day to venture out. I was a bit puzzled at first but soon located then had the log in hand. Thanks for placing another new cache in my area Old Man Emu.
Out on a non geo mission and then the publishing starts, Very temped to head to the ones around North Rocks but with time pressures this one was closer but still 20min away.
We headed into the Brickpit and with no other cars thought we might be lucky and continued up the stairs past the play equipment, it then through a little scrubby area and on to GZ. All quiet on the range and we saw the camo and other items at GZ. A quick tee off and then on to the log which we found blank on opening up. We added our name as **FTF** as part of the signing and re hid. TFTC

A very unusual miss en scene that was found without any real trouble,. I rolled a 6 and threw tails. I'm not sure what the significance of that is, but the cache was published during the U14 semi-finals which was lost during golden goal extra time. A nice hide. TFTC.
