Find#3055Knowing that it was going to be cooler than the last two days I ventured out in a bit of drizzle to do some more of the two beaches series. The views were unreal at so many locations. I read the gin for this cache and was really scratching my head for a second before getting close to GZ and thought what a clever hint. Cache and log in good condition TFTC Colleda
Decided to make the most of the sunshine today with a nice walk and swim. Awesome views and nice easy find. TFTC No pen, photo attached.
We have travelled from Sydney's Northern Beaches to the Central Coast for a five day midweek holiday, staying at the Norah Head Holiday Park (caravan park) in Norah Head. Having already found most of the caches around Norah Head and the areas surrounding Tuggerah & Budgewoi Lakes on previous holiday visits, except for a few new ones and the odd DNF needing a visit/revisit, on this trip we will be concentrating our efforts in areas to the north of Lake Munmorah. Planning to explore areas around the southern & eastern shores of Lake Macquarie, including Wyee, Gwandalan, Doyalson North, Cams Wharf, Murrays Beach, Pinny Beach, Caves Beach, and Swansea. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base.Today we spent the morning caching at Caves Beach, where we completed an EarthCache and collected a single stage of an Adventure Lab, then followed the "Two Beaches" cache trail around Pinny Beach. The return drive back to camp had us stopping at Galgabba Point for a cache that we missed yesterday, then another stop at Budgewoi for fish & chips, before arriving back at camp for a swim in the pool. This was the 4th of 9 finds for the day (day 4), and 44th find of the holiday. After collecting "#01 Two Beaches - Caves" we drove to the end of Spoon Rocks Road and parked the geomobile, then headed off walking along the track to find more of the "Two Beaches" cache trail, and this was the first one we came to. Arrived at GZ and made a nice quick find of the cache container. Signed the logbook, swapped a sticker (out) for a coloured domino (in), and then replaced as found. TFTC colleda.Find #6535
Had a nice adventure day out in this Area, we Added a swap, sticker & signed the log tftf
We walked around this scenic piece of bushland trying to complete these two series of caches. This was the first in the circuit that we chose to walk. TFTC colleda
(3 of 8 today)
Headed up to Caves Beach today (did the car say it was 36 degrees) to pick up more of the caches on the southern headland.
Unfortunately a few of the caches here are AWOL - but I left one or two others to make a return trip worthwhile.
Got eight out of ten attempts - could have been better, but my calendar finds are happy!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
So, after walking back to the car, I decided to drive up the hill and start at the other end.
To here.
Spotted the likely GZ from the path, so headed there for a quick find.
Signed, replaced and waited for a couple I'd already seen on the beach to walk past.
Then followed them to my next target.

Found with nissan65 on a day trip caching. Thankyou for placing this cache for our enjoyment
Found without difficulty, great views all around. Container was wet inside but NOT the log. Dried it as best I could. TFTC Colleda.
Came back here and ending up finding the cache. Being cautious in case I ran into the snake again but I didn't and ended up having a cache in hand tftc
People are tough on caches around here. Found this undone with contents scattered around. Was just able toi sign the rather wet log, put it all together and rehid it. Loved the hint!
Last of the Beach and Trail series, my old legs are stuffed! Off to the motel for me... thanks colleda
Found on a cold, windy, drizzly New Year's Day. Out during a break in the weather. Better than watching covid reports on the TV. TFTC.

With the weather this weekend being pretty awesome (maybe a tad cold?) we decided it was time to revisit 'The Two Beaches' and 'The Ridge'. We even enlisted the help of young Pete, who came with us on our first trip here over 4 years ago, how does time fly?
We had another great day winding our way around the myriad of tracks down here, and with only one wrong turn giving us an extra wander, we did OK. We'll be back to clean off the map once the disabled caches are enabled.
Last one for the day. With the car not far up the road, the troops were flagging, so Dad did the searching and the finding here..... Thanks for your continued efforts in keeping this great series going.....

Found today while with one of my friends, awesome cache series! Well make sure to come back for the 2 disabled ones when they are enabled! Fp for the series
With some careful track following, i took a reasonably indirect route to this cache Whilst signing the log, a couple of walkers came along, Duck. Wait till they go past, and continue on my travels. Only problem is, i seem to have missed a number, so i messaged a friend, and while waiting, i took a punt on a location, which, did not turn out. So i returned to the car from here, thinking i could grab some lunch, and grab #12 from there, if i get an answer to my plea for help.
Ah! now which paperbark? Of course I went the long way to the wrong one. Left a red top.
We could see the Cache, and it was a twisted up catcher that finally put their hand on it

Woohoo, we were just out for a family walk and thought we might just check if there were any cages nearby. Excited 10 year old completed the log.
Up this way so after work headed out for a few caches. Int he areas to collect a few puzzles that appeared to be further away than what we thought and ended up going past a number of trads on the way. So good views along the way and a number of different hides too. We noted the clues in part of the series and generally didn't have too many issues making the various finds along the way. We signed the logs and re hid. TFTC
We had mapped this series, and followed them in order, thereby avoiding steep eroded gullies! Think the hint is superb! TFTC!
The last in the series. Our route crossed over with the fire trail and had to climb that steep erosion gully once again! Great series Colleda. We have to go back to a couple of spots to get the codes for the bonus.
Needing a cache for the palindrome souvenir i stopped here before dinner with the parents. A quick find revisiting and re-reading a nice area. TFTC
Today we are walking the area completing the Two Beaches and Ridge Fire trail series. A quick find, loved the hint on this one. TFTC
I got up nice and early to find these caches before the heat struck. I had found the first four a couple weeks before, but couldn't find my notepad with my numbers for the bonus cache, so I had to find them again.
This cache was a reasonably quick and easy find, thanks to accurate coordinates and a very good hint. TFTC, and thanks for bringing me back to this extremely beautiful part of our beautiful country.

After completing the first seven the light started to fade a bit and the kids (especially baby Thomas) were getting a bit grumpy so we headed back to the car via this one, leaving the remote combo of 8,9,10 and the bonus cache to complete. Daddy will come back soon.
The kids loved solving the hint too. TNLN TFTC

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
After a phone call from Grub Fred this morning wanting to know if I'd like to join him and shaneo58 to venture out to Caves to do this series and I was in like a shot. Thought it was going to be a walk in the park well it was a walk but not quite in the park but found them all and enjoyed the hole series. Now home and resting !! Thanks colleda for putting this series together.
Find No: 7885. Headed out this morning with Mrs Grub Fred, shaneo58 & Yella Belly for this workout, managed to find them all including the bonus then, hanging for some fish & chips we called in to the takeaway at Caves Beach, wrong time of day, waited 45 minutes, now at home recovering, thanks for the cache and the series colleda!!
Found it with grub fred and yella belly. I think this was a repeat cache.TFTC COLLEDA.
My daughters were over the walk by now and headed back to the car, While I went searching for the cache, lucky for them it was a quick find and they could sit in the air con for a while, So I could get the co ords for the multi. Thanks for the cache colleda tnln replaced as found sl
Great walking track, a few nice views and caches to what more could you want. TFTC
We were staying nearby for a couple of weeks so decided to add a cache to our daily routine. This one was a quick find after the GPS settled

Now totally covered in insect spray we continued up the track and on to this cache. This site looked a bit familiar and the cache could be seen once in the right place. Thanks colleda for the placement and walk.
Needing a few more caches with the Significant Hike attribute in order to qualify for a challenge cache I'm creating, I noticed there were some down towards the Pinny Beach end of this series. So I headed north this afternoon, parking at the end of Spoon Rocks Road and setting off on foot, intending to grab any previously unfound ones on the way past as well.
I initially got a bit bamboozled here as I'd previously found another cache very close to here that's since been archived and somehow managed to select it instead of this on my GPSr. Once I'd figured out my mistake, I soon spotted the nice new cache. I loved the hint!
Many thanks for keeping this series going.

*FTF* Found on a nice spring day, started cool and overcast but turned out warming up, doing some new caches around Swansea area, Tried to do the two beaches in the number order, but needed to come back for number 2. Nice big cache in a similar placement as the previous cache. Log signed and caches replaced as found. Thanks For The Cache colleda
