walked from green dog to this cache, A nice area for a cache. I found the familiar looking container quickly, signed and replaced, and the continued walking south towards the next unfound cache. TFTC Brewmaker.

Found pretty quickly, great spot for a bit of plane spotting TFTC

Fun find! TFTC!

11-Sep-24
Should have flown Singapore to Auckland last night but the flight was cancelled. Instead they flew us to Sydney with a 12 hour stopover before going to Wellington. Might as well make the most of it, so we headed out for some caches. Walked from the Airport along Botany Bay to Captain Cook Bridge, about 10km. Managed 10 caches and 2 swims. Had to rack my brain to remember what a chain length was. Wasnt sure what level to search but found it in the end. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley.

01-Sep-24
This one took us a little while to find, but we got there in the end. TFTC!

Thanks for the find, the kiddos loved it

12-May-24
TFTC needed to carefully step down to see it Smile

07-Apr-24
After a predawn errand to drop off two people at the nearby airport, lets do some geocaching until early afternoon. Somewhere Ive yet to visit, well away from my usual areas so far. Thanks Brewmaker for a nice find, even if it meant positioning myself awkwardly due to higher tidal flows

06-Apr-24
Still there after the rains, even if the river is dirtier than usual. Good path thank you

After the recent DNFs, I dropped by to check. It seems to have gone missing. A replacement has been put in place. You're looking for a fake rock just below the top rock layer. See the photo gallery for extra help.Good luck

Turned over everything here and searched for quite some time with Geogangstas and Gabstar to no avail. A cache check is likely needed given a couple of DNF attempts here now.

10-Feb-24
Had a good rummage but couldn't find this today

Aww

08-Sep-23
That was a very cool place to stop! TFTC

Thank god I know what these caches look li. Pretty easy find but wonder how it doesn't get totally flooded out at night? idk

18-Aug-23
I’ve seen plenty of these hides but this one blended in more perfectly than any others I’ve seen recently! Took a little bit to find but was able to sign it in the end with my brand new stamp my girlfriend had made up for me, which is quite special and feels awesome! Even if I did use it upside down this time

TFTC Brewmaker!

Very convincing rock, TFTC!!

This one took me much longer than it should’ve! I have a hide of the same style placed but still these always catch me out. Spotted the well hidden cache eventually though, log signed and replaced as found.

Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the log nice and dry.

Greetings from Melbourne.

05-Jun-23
Mr S was worried about getting his shoes wet, so he proceeded to do a very careful search. His mission was not impossible and the cache was found eventually. Thanks for the hide.

03-Jun-23
Cheeky hide in this environment! Dumped the bike just off the path and came down for a drink by the water.

Nothing first showed up but by getting a better view of where the cache could be hidden spotted something amiss and made the find.

All in order, thanks Brewmaker

22-Apr-23
Forgot to log it found this a while ago. I wrote my name down I think.

27-Feb-23
Out and about again, left Queanbeyan very early this morning and headed to Sydney via Bateman Bay and along the coast. Not after big numbers of hides but after getting LGA numbers.

Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today

Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides I found.

On a big cycle tour today. Ended up cycling 33km from Wolli Creek station in a big loop around to Carlton Station. A very enjoyable day.
I'm old enough to remember what a chain is and made short work (a funny expression for Dan) of finding this nicely hidden cache. TFTC Brewmaker

22-Jan-23
Pleasantly surprisingly quiet here for a Saturday afternoon, making for a quick muggle-free find. TFTC

Out on a bike ride along the Cooks River Cycleway with Rama497.
The good hint made for a quick find here.
Off to find some more as we cycle along.
Thanks for the geo-fun Brewmaker.

Out Caching today with Calypso62 and to travel along the Cooks River.
This was a quick find.

31-Dec-22
Finally found this sneak after CO's event today nearby. Thank you for this and many other caches you have placed around the area so we can cycle between them. Cheers.

11-Dec-22
A check on the cache revealed that it wasn't really that wet at all, but was almost full. I had a spare so replaced it with a fresh "write-in-the-rain" type.

02-Dec-22
I have been meaning to find this cache for a while now as I am often at the nearby hockey club with the geokid playing hockey. Always seemed to be in a rush previously but this evening I snuck away and enjoyed a quiet moment on the bank of the Cooks River. Find was relatively straight forward and very few muggles around. Signed and replaced. Log is very wet and needed to be dried out first. TFTC brewmaker!

02-Dec-22
Hi brewmaker, the log is wet through and so the pen marks have bled through the paper to the other side, limiting the options for signing the log. Probably needs to be replaced. Thanks.

14-Oct-22
A reasonably quick find whilst having skipped out of my conference back at the Novotel…. Caching wins the way! Tftc

04-Oct-22
Took a while looking through all the crevices... the hint no longer seems to make much sense (?cache creep) but i replaced in same spot as found. Have seen this cache container/camo a number of times before Smile Log had dried out a bit since prev "wet log" comments, was dry enough to sign. Tftc ^_^

23-Sep-22
Got the train to Wolli Creek today with the aim to cycle to Taren Point and do some of the adventure labs around there, but forgot it was magpie season and only checked on the train there, where magpies were swooping this season. Seeing three marked on the approach to taren point bridge I was hesitant to go that far and get in their path. So started some other finds on my way out to brighton. Never seen the path so quiet, guess it is a weekday and I've only ever come on weekends before.

Found just as it started to sprinkle again. Then was on my way.

29-Jul-22
Spent ages looking as the sun went down. Used the photo, but it lead my own crack wrong. Gave up, walked away, came back on a whim, and found slightly further afield than I had thought. Log very wet.

Cheers

12-Jul-22
Took a bit but knew the distance (thank you dubbo gaol) required however still very elusive. Geowife showed me the photo which lead me straight to it. Now to get the blighter out. Dont drop it, dont drop it, two hands, nope two fingers, nope foir fingers … gotchya. Challenging for the peepers and challenging in retrieval. Placed back no dramas. TFTC

14-Jun-22
bit further than the spot we thought, quite sneeky

25-Apr-22
Muggles sat right near GZ, so I could only search about half the area I otherwise would have canvassed. I'll come back some time that isn't a public holiday.

26-Nov-21
Excellent location for a case and well hidden.

07-Nov-21
Found it with the assistant nosmada and Samantharogers

07-Nov-21
Sooty if it logs twice

24-Oct-21
Urgh
Normally my logs give thanks to the Geohusband @Nosmada. However, this time I'm thanking myself and my flexibility. Much harder than anticipated. But thanks goes out to CO for corresponding and assisting. WE FINALLY DID IT!! TFTC

24-Oct-21
A rather tricky find. Big thanks for the geowife SamanthaRogers who retived the geo.

11-Oct-21
Now that the NSW Government is beginning to ease lockdown restrictions and we can now travel outside our local LGA, it’s time to bring my caches back into play. I know the COVID-19 virus is still about, so please take precautions to keep yourself and those around you safe by doing things such as wearing gloves to handle caches, as well as using hand sanitiser regularly. Take care everyone and enjoy your return to caching after such a long break. Brew

13-Jul-21
To help stop the spread of COVID-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to STAY AT HOME unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.

While some people would regard geocaching as a form of exercise, it is my personal opinion that this activity is NON-ESSENTIAL, perhaps involving unnecessary travel (> 10km) and therefore should not be undertaken during this time of crisis. You are breaking the law by doing so.

Who knows how long this current lockdown will last! Right now, every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of COVID-19, by STAYING HOME.

As a result of the health authority’s directive, I have decided to disable this cache and respectfully request that you do not seek out and claim a find whilst this cache is disabled. If you do log a find I will DELETE IT.

Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to bringing my caches back into play as soon as the health crisis abates.

Regards,
Brewmaker

01-Jun-21
Made my way to the parking spot and took a stroll to GZ. The only muggles I needed to avoid today were the council lawn mowing type. Once I understood what the hint meant, I was able to grab the cache easily. Thanks for placing Brewmaker.

17-Mar-21
It's good to be out again after lockdown and restrictions but sadly a DNF for me today

02-Jan-21
A new year seemed like a good time to log my first premium cache. Thought it would be too hard to reach but wasn’t . Thanks for hints Zelda and CO

01-Jan-21
A few caches in between events. Started with a 7 am run and now on my way to the new year's event at Botany bay.
TFTC Wilbert67

01-Jan-21
Nice to have the CO and Zelda along to avenge a previous DNF. Thankfully the cache was not missing this time. No problems finding this, but the tide was very high, one slip and its splish, splash.

01-Jan-21
A beautiful spot for a cache after attending the nearby event, after some scrambling the cache was located, thank you for the cache!

01-Jan-21
After going to the geocaching event we thought we would pop out and do the caches nearby. After getting Claws another young man was looking for the same one. While doing this cache he got there first. The chain hint was useful. TFTC

31-Dec-20
Nice hide. Tftc.

31-Dec-20
Nice rock. Tftc

06-Dec-20
Muggle sat right on top of GZ, the only muggle always happens to be right on top of the cache. Will be back another day as I spotted the hint item at least tftc

27-Sep-20
A lovely view indeed ️

27-Sep-20
On my walk to get this one, I got drenched by a wayward giant sprinkler that was supposed to be watering the hockey fields! Made a quick find thanks to a big spoiler in previous logs. TFTC!

11-Sep-20
Brewmaker I found your cache Cook Park Trail on 11/9/20, 10:35 am. This is my find 2674 and find # 2 today. A quick and easy find. Nice quiet spot. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

06-Sep-20
Took us a little while to find. Pretty cool hint photo and hidding spot tftc.

06-Sep-20
Found! Beautiful place. Fake rock blended in quite well. TFTC

27-Aug-20
Was on my way home after a sad funeral made more challenging by the closure of the Sydney Harbour Bridge a fatal accident this morning. A bit of sunshine and a stretch of the legs seemed like just the thing to do to balance the day a bit. Pulled in here and walked along wondering how the hint object could possible be here. And then, sure enough, it was! Took a bit of knee searching but the container was tucked high and dry. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

17-Aug-20
Found!
Didn’t have a pen so couldn’t log it but will go back when i can do log!

16-Aug-20
We were on our way home heading north after our first visit to the grandkids and family since February and called in here for a souvenir cache. Although it was dark and high tide I followed the GPS and ample clues to put my hand on the container and logged by torchlight. Thanks Brewmaker for a good hide by the water.

01-Aug-20
Caught the CO searching for the cache, seems it was washed away. I get to log it owing to the goodwill of Brewmaker

01-Aug-20
As Rainbow Spirit noted, the cache has been washed away in recent downpour. So luckily I had a replacement in the Brewmobile. It is now a fake rock and hidden more securely now (I hope). Zelda will lead you the way. Cache on. Brew.

Coordinates changed from:
S 33° 56.815 E 151° 9.848

Coordinates changed to:
S 33° 56.791 E 151° 9.790

Distance from original: 327.0 feet or 99.7 meters.

It has been muggled or washed away twice, so a new spot which should be safer. A temporary cache until i can find something better. Cache on!

30-Jun-20
A new position which hopefully will survive the elements. Cache on everyone.

08-Jun-20
Deleted the FOUND IT log as cacher posted a DNF as well

08-Jun-20
We had a look around up and down the wall just incase (as past two logs have been DNF) but we had no luck, maybe a check in just to make sure it's still there?

08-Jun-20
It seems to have gone again. Will check when back home. I may have to find a new hiding spot.

06-Jun-20
Muggle finally left (cache was literally under his foot) and cache was quickly found

06-Jun-20
DNF, previous log a mistake. Looked near the loop & couldn't find.

23-May-20
Spent quite a while on this one, could not find it. Risked falling onto a pile of oysters looking, still got nothing! ️

17-May-20
After two looks I don't think it's here. There was some rope attached to the circle but no cache .

07-May-20
Awesome little cache! With a even better view.

26-Apr-20
Quick find with the hint TFTC

25-Apr-20
After 2 DNFs I went for a walk with geodog and a check. Yes, it was missing. Replaced with a smaller temporary container. Now a micro. Good luck and take care in these COVID-19 times.

23-Apr-20
Nope, I couldn't find anything either, beautiful day for a ride. Maybe its there, maybe I'm just blind.

13-Apr-20
With the COVID-19 pandemic and the government telling us to avoid non-essential travel, I won't be checking on this for awhile. I don't consider geocaching "essential" and ask others to stay safe. I believe this is still in place as we haven't had rain for quite some time and it was found since the massive storms in February. Also, the hint says "near the hook", not on the hook!

13-Apr-20
Found the hook, but DBF - could have washed away in the recent rain?

24-Feb-20
After my sale fell through and I didn’t need to go to the city I turned and made a few finds.

TFTC.

07-Feb-20
Once I looked in the right spot and found the hook I was away. TFTC!

31-Jan-20
Such a great walking trail. Great place for a cache. TFTC

26-Jan-20
I thought being as it was Australia Day I should find a cache related to Captain James Cook, after all if it hadn't been for his expedition in 1770 this may not be Australia Day, our country may not even be called Australia and we could all be speaking French.

I came to this cache, the start of the trail and found unlike every other parking area around I was the only car here.
Except for the continual plane noise this isn't a bad spot. I really like the beautiful flowering red gum (ficofolia) and the huge Banksia Serrata. The walk looks good, hopefully I can do it one day and find the caches along the way.
Are they there yet?

Having read Gatherer Hade's log, the last finder I came armed with a tool to scare off red back spiders, but there were none in sight.
I extracted the cache, SL then sat for a while enjoying the view. Looking around I wondered if vk2df was at work - you could wave to him from here!

Being as I'm a numbers person this has to be my final find for the day or one my stats will be an evil number if I find another today and that would never do!

TFTC # 3802

10-Jan-20
#6858 (2 of 2 today)

Headed south for a few caches today, but it is so hot!
Ended up just going for the two, both by the water, but even so.

Found both I went for and then retreated back home to the air conditioning and shade. Today is real sunburn territory!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Parked nice and close and them completely went the wrong way!
Finally followed the GPS and went in an unexpected direction.

First thing I spotted there was a redback nest, with one of the biggest I've seen for a while tending her web. My initial thought was I hope it's not there.
Then I spotted a hint of the container... Drat!

With the experience of a misspent youth to draw upon, I safely cleared the web. Unfortunately the inhabitant retreated to a spot I couldn't see her in. Then I used two sticks to liberate the cache without sticking my fingers somewhere dangerous.

I'm sure a bit of my sweat here wasn't just the heat today!

Stamped the log and then carefully replaced.
Unfortunately I only have insect repellent in the car - and I know from experience spiders don't die from that - and usually don't even abandon the location sprayed!

Hopefully the redback will leave of her own accord, but unless industrial strength insecticide is applied that can't be relied on and I'd hate for a small child to stick their fingers in and get bitten. Perhaps the CO can have a quick look / spray here.

Enjoyed all the caches I had a chance to do in the short visit to the big smoke

08-Dec-19
Great Scott! Searched the wrong hook and almost got tetanus. Found after I searched along a bit. Nice hide! Beware of fishing muggles. Thanks for placing.

27-Nov-19
Nice spot and lovely day for a cycle. Thanks.
