Out for a day Rail Trail on bike riding with GWD.aussie and D@geo. Rode from Mirboo North to Boolarra collecting caches along the way. Thanks ducky_legs
Found with gwd.aussie and Sharon14. Have been on my radar to do the caches along the Grand Ridge Rail Trail - yup still bullants. Thanks ducky_legs
Those bullants had done it again, well covered.Out caching with Sharon14 & D@geoThank you for the cache ducky_legs
Out for the maiden trip on my new ebike when Wombat Waterslide was found. It took a while to find as I made the search much much harder than it turned out to be (the phone gps was bouncing around and had me up and down both banks during my search). Thanks ducky legs and giraffe legs for setting up and maintaining this cache. The bullants are well and truly guarding their residence - take great care when searching AND they have covered the hidey hole very well - got to love nature.PS: The Troll Dolls [TN6TR0] were with me on my great caching adventures today.
Day two of a short trip into Gippsland with the deadly treadly for some caches. This morning I started in Morwell at the Crinigan Bushland Reserve.I then went to Churchill and rode the loop of the LV Event caches and some of the Winston Wander Extension caches. Finished off the day on the GRT.A nice ride around on a mild day.I parked in the middle at Darlimurla station and rode firstly to Mirboo North, then back towards Boolarra.Must be a nocturnal pastime as there were no wombats here today. Thanks, Robmc.
Maintenance ride done by giraffe_legs today. Cache container and log in good order, ready to be found, but please note there is a family of very large ants inhabiting the hide. We are looking at moving this one to a safer location. It is still there for now, but search at your own risk.

Out for a days Rail Trail eBike riding with gmj3191 and both our better halves, MuggleWifeDoes and PamJ. Rode from Mirboo North to Boolarra collecting caches along the way. We stopped at the Boolarra Store for lunch before returning uphill to our cars at Mirboo North.
'Twas a glorious day for a ride in the country and this location totally lived up to all our expectations.
Wow, I was almost temped to give it a go but sadly there was no water flow
**Thanks for placing this cache ducky_legs**

Doing the Grand Ridge Rail Trail today with PamJ, BernieH, and Mugglewife. This is one of the caches we did along the way.
Nice container, and another quick find. We're having a lovely time.

Trying not to act too out of place or suspicious ...the muggles on their bikes had decided to take a small break up the path .. trying to patient almost brought me undone ..
Found in the last place I looked on the wrong side to what I initially thought. Glad I got there in the end!
After a play date with our grandkids at Mirboo North Park we set off on the bikes to avenge this dnf. It was way back in November 2019 that we had a failed attempt here. I remember us looking in all sorts of obscure places with no success. Today we arrived at gz and pretty much put our hands on it straight away
I am not sure how we didn’t see it last time.
Today was a lovely sunny day for a ride and now we can rest easy knowing that we have a complete row of yellow smilies.
Thanks for the cache and highlighting this trail of local history ducky_legs & giraffe_legs

Today was the first day of my LSL adventure to ride rail trails and geocache along the way. Great trail and some easy and not so easy geocaches found. 12 out 13 found so 13 is definitely an unlucky number!
Wombat Waterslide cache - i had thought my new phone was more accurate but found this 9m on other side. Would love to see giraffe_legs unicycle - i struggle with 2 wheels

Even though the Potato team had found these last three caches before, they were keen to continue after our picnic lunch at the bridge. I may have insisted it was all 3 caches or none at all....which I'm paying for now with a sore knee. Genuinely feeling old and regretting it. This one was covered in nature which discoloured my hands, but with assistance from the oldest spudling, I managed to get my name on the page. TFTC Legs
We loved the imagination that went into this cache - such an interesting bit of history too! Thanks for placing this here
Stood at the slide & surveyed the area. Ling saw a likely spot. The log was soon signed & we were on our way.
Out for a family walk and, it being mothers day, my choice for destination! Obviously a trail with caches. Last cache before turning around today, given the kids were trailing behind and moaning at this point. Pretty awesome slide! Log was too wet to sign though. TFTC
I got a Message from Skipair with a suggestion of heading to the Mirboo North and Boolarra area to tackle the GRT trail, I had been looking at those for some time but My driving is very limited at the moment so its great to have friends to drive you around and chat with. We also did several other caches in the area, most of the trail was walked as I am unable to ride a bike after being hit by a truck. This is a beautiful area to visit with several great view locations and we certainly took a few roads that are less traveled today.
This is one of the caches we found on our travels.

The blokes luck finally ran out. Despite using our trusty methods of navigation, a combination of maps, GPS and following our noses down some forestry tracks, we had reached the end of the line. Mrs SKI dropped the blokes off to walk the remainder of the rail trail to Boolarra. She decided that as she has travelled this route many time before, she would leave it to the blokes this time. Mind you, all her trips had been in relative luxury aboard the steam train that did special trips between Morwell and Boolarra when she was a child many moons ago! We are sad that our kids and grandkids can’t experience the thrill of riding behind a steam locomotive as often as we did as kids.
Out and about with Rebel Acts again, so many of the caches will be signed RASP.
For the first 6 years of our married life Mr SKI was the head teacher at Budgeree Primary School so this is an area we used to know quite well. It is also of the prettiest areas in Gippsland, full of productive farms that used to mainly be dairy. Now a lot of them have diversified and you can see beef cattle, alpacas and goats as well the large dairy herds. And of course the spuds! There are also pockets of native forest and plantation forest tucked away as you drive the mainly winding and hilly roads. Good for the soul.

After allowing me to scramble up quite the wrong spot, nyochi casually asks me if I'd like her to sign the log for me.. because she had already spotted it..
Out and about for a day of trekking with merkinofloki. Looking forward to a good old fashion hike along the rail trail with many finds to be had and a bloody glorious day to be doing so :3 and the kookaburras are following us along, must be our spirit animals for the day!!
Bahahahahahahahahaah!!!!! Wombat waterslide!!!!! Love it. Nice easy one here again when I noticed something out of place ))

Barrier has fallen down, (don’t know if that’s recent) doesn’t effect the cache though so that’s good. We were looking for more of a “natural” slide but we were pleasantly surprised. Love the name! Spotted a lot of fallen trees on the way. Great to have caches along our 13k walk because otherwise I wouldn’t have come TFTC
Well what a cracker of a day! Travelled to Boolara for our exercise, after parking the car we rode to Mirboo North for lunch (picked up a couple of caches along the way). Then we stopped to find the rest of the caches along the way.
Saw that a fellow geocacher that I had met previous was signing some of the logs with today's date so when we spotted him looking for a cache we had a good catchup.
Was having a bit of trouble finding this one but with a nudge from Kashbound we had the cache in hand

This was a pretty straight forward cache. Found quickly in good order.
I am amazed how many people are using this hidden little path, though it is a beautiful day.

Whilst running up the rail trail, I noticed this and said *hey it looks like a waterslide!* fun cache! Sneaky hide
Mango Mermaid and I laughed about this being a waterslide on the way Up to Mirboo north, it wasn’t until we came back down and noticed there was a cache here.
Thank you for the good hide

Nice easy find. From the last cache some cyclists were about to come past and I floored it on the scooter. Left them for dead! Then overshot the obvious location.
Tftc Ducky & Giraffe. The first rain since the fires began this summer and when madam said she wanted to wash the floors at home, opportunity knocked. Grabbed geo-hound, my mtb and drove to Boolarra and parked.
Planned to get the lower four, although after the last at your favourite rest stop I did an uninterrupted ride up past Darlimurla and back (down-hill).
Nabbed the first three, not the fourth. All found caches are in very good condition.

This cache had me for a while until I rechecked the site and Bingo there it is signed & replaced...TFTC
The first sleepy Saturday in forever is the most perfect time to go for a little bush bashing adventure with muggle partner, kiddo’s and super amazing geo-dog
With bush bashin being the goal, this little loop of 7 became our target.
This is a great name for this cache. I would never have thought of that use for this structure. Makes absolutely perfect sense though.
After a little search, I came up with the goods. Cache signed and replaced.
Thanks again for placing this cache

Went for a quick ride and checked on the cache. All good, in place and good condition
This was an interesting structure to come across on the trail. However, after looking for quite a while we regrettably gave up. We felt very frustrated not being able to locate the cache considering the D/T rating. The hide was too good for us. Thanks for the challenge dl & gl.
Loved the camo . This was the second try for this one . I think i looked way too hard.

*FTF* Oh I loved the concept of the Wombat Waterslide! But it seems the playground has been a bit underutilised in recent times! Giving it a favourtite for the idea!
