Visiting Sydney from New Zealand for an event on the campus, so of course I had to get some geocaching in! This was my first cache here and I have to confess being a little scared of encountering the local spiders! Still I packed my TotT and using a telescopic mirror searched around. It took me longer than it should as I was being cautious of how open it was. But rereading the hint and focusing on the correct part of the hint meant cache was soon in hand! Tftc
2 July I don't have a lot of luck with Ev's hides but this one I found. YAYTFTC EverestHigh
Found it!!! It has a missing lid and one of the log papers are old and full but another great tram cache!
I've got to check the first thing I think might be the spot...as I spotted it, then went hither and thither then came back to it for the find. TFTC. Hey Ev! Weren't you caching in my backyard yesterday?! Now I'm in yours.
Great spot, the containers lid was missing and given the nature of the spot, will probably need replacing.
Arrived in Randwick for a medical appointment and with quite some time to kill decided to target a few caches. After a quick find was made we hopped on the light rail for one stop to avoid trudging up the hill. TFTC
Had me stumped for a while and with the CCTV cameras watching I felt very exposed.Looked at the previous logs and noted the cigarette buts and made the find VERY close by.Waved to the cameras and went on my merry way.TFTCIronbark.
Ah the irony of a spot so close to the medical and cancer research facility of UNSW being covered in used cigarettes ????
An easy find but I had to be quick to get the nicotine smell out of my nose ??
Signed the log and replaced as found; TFTC!

We had done some prior reading up on this one, and had an idea of what to look for. At GZ we were literally stumped and needed to PAF. we found the cache soon after. Thanks EH for placing the series.
I decided I'd have a ride on the new Light Rail while I was in the city today, and opted to take the Randwick line rather than the Kingsford one because I spotted a virtual at Randwick.
I made a quick stop here to grab a smiley on the way back to the city ... it's great that it's only 10 minutes until another tram comes along. Thanks for making the return trip a little more interesting.

After having found Essential Services #11, we continued by foot to this tram stop. The cache was quickly found, in one of the first places we looked. We then walked to the tram station, where we took the tram to the next cache.
Looked for a solid 30 minutes and did not find the cache! Could use some advice as most of the area was covered in leaves and not sure where it is safe to check!
Business trip in Sydney - took the opportunity to find some caches and took a long walk to find a bunch of the SELR series and others
Looked around for about 20mins, I was sure I wasn't missing anything, however, the building was missing something... There used to be an air con unit on the wall that is no longer, and the cache used to be on the wall bracket which I found laying on the ground a little distance away
The container was slightly damaged and I moved to a new hiding spot in case someone decides to dispose of the old brackets
Will message CO with a photo of the new location

Took a tram ride to Randwick. Quick find. Cache and log are okay. TFTC EverestHigh.
TFTC,
A quick find while doing a little exercise for the day. Selected 4 caches to build a 6,000 step loop but one was not possible to attempt.

Off to Uni this time, up the hill, while I was looking else where, Wazza9 made the find. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to EverestHigh
My second SELR cache and both were around the USNW. The hint was very helpful for this one and this was a quick find. Also, convenient for me as I could get the tram back! TFTC.
Geocachpro, CuteOtter, and I dropped by to visit a friend on our way to Coogee and Bondi. Thanks for placing. Log was full and damp so I added a new sheet. This is find 6666 for me.
Back in town visiting our kid who is studying at UNSW, and clearing up some of the caches I didn’t look for back in February when I was last year. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining caches for us to find.
There were a couple of muggles smoking on the corner yesterday so tried again today on our way to meet the kid. Quick find and sign.

Nice hide, was riding to Cooge Beach and saw this here and came over to get it TFTC

That was a long climb uphill with my little bicycle. I ended up walking uphill for the second half. But getting another find makes it worth it!

Came back in the daylight and spotted the cache in 2 seconds. The spiders at night must have really psyched us out
Lots of spiders in the dark when trying to find this one, felt like we were definitely in the right spot…. But way too many spiders in the dark to be brave and feel around
Once we had cooled down and settled in the conditions we quickly had CIH. TFTC
Nice one kind of clever took us a little while but after we cooled us down our mindset was clear!
Unable to attempt retrieval due to muggles and university guide saying 'no access allowed' oh well, their loss - will have to come back another day.
Had some time today for a journey down the tram line to tick off some unfound cache. Quick find here thanks to a very quiet Xmas eve uni campus and a helpful hint. Thanks for placing this cache EverestHigh #1258
Nice hide. Had to wait for a student to vacate the patio so I could take a seat and cool down. But just ended up with a face full of hot air. TFTC!
Think this is my second time not finding this one, thought I'd be lucky with no Uni on but despite that no sign of the cache...
To help stop the spread of Covid-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to stay at home unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, it is my personal opinion that this activity is a non-essential one, perhaps involving unnecessary travel and therefore should not be undertaken during this time of crisis.
Who knows how long this current lockdown will last! Right now, every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, by staying home.
As a result of the health authority’s directive, I have decided to disable this cache and respectfully request that no person seek out and claim a find whilst this cache is disabled.
Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to bringing my caches back into play as soon as the health crisis abates.

It took 6 of us a long time to find but eventually searched at a different angle and whoopee CIH.

This one took us a while to locate - almost gave up but then looking from the right angle we finally found it! TFTC

Streak Day #2875 - Over this way with Dave8153 and stopped by here for a quick find to keep our streaks going. TFTC
Found it on my fourth attempt. Thanks @jennyonthefarm for the clue back in Feb. There was a bit of water in the compartment which I shook out, I dried the ziplock, but the log was mostly dry. TFTC!
After ages not being able to get a good fix here I rang a paf, OK I had already looked there, grrrrr. Thanks.
Searched in all the wrong places first, came back to sit on the veranda and there it is. TFTC
I found a place that could be a great hiding spot but didn’t see anything there. I was too scared to reach inside, maybe that’s the problem?
Out for an afternoon geocaching walk on a day off work. In searching for this cache I stumbled across a really interesting cage/trap? No telling what the students are up to! SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
I really liked this hide.
Simple, but quite effective.
Though I’d probably have been less reluctant to follow the hint if had been less wet.
Tftc.

I will go and replace the logbook soon. Please feel free to include a slip of paper in the meantime.
Out early to start my Wonders of the World collection. Initially I didn't think I was looking in the right spot, but looking from the right angle made all the difference. Signed and returned. TFTC EverestHigh
after having done a few in this series i knew exactly what i was looking for and quickly had cih. but no pen! what to do, what to do... how about a stick? perfect!
tfts (im going to pretend i made that up even though some other brilliant cacher has probably done it long before me)

Original plan was to ride the SELR to visit the caches in this series. After studying the timetable and time between stops and factoring in getting to/from the cache, decided it would be faster to take the cross-bike out for a roll around. So the visit order ended up being:
1-2-3-4-5-6-11 by bike; then took the light rail to 20 and finishing 10-9-8-7 by bike.
Congratulations on an excellent series, EH. And being fully operational before the SELR!

Back in more familiar territory for an easy find.

Sat down for a think after looking where the hint suggested then found upon revisiting the same place. TFTC
Today I went searching for caches in the Randwick/UNSW area and this was the fourth of the day.
Thanks for this series.
Thanks for this series.
#6968 (2 of 5 today)
Too many days lately where I've grabbed just the one - and not close to home, either.
The Eastern Suburbs still have a number of caches I haven't found. But a number of them are puzzles.
So I decided to look at some of the more interesting ones - mostly **Lonely Rooster's** - and solved a few. HUZZAH!
While out today I collected information for another - for which I have now got a Geochecker Green Light - even though I initially messed up a waypoint my grabbing the wrong digit.
But somehow another I was looking to get info on I drove past oblivious. Sigh.
All in all, I grabbed five out of five. Probably could have done more in the time I had but I walked between a number of finds instead of driving - I need the exercise.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
So much has changed since I studied here in the 19mumble, mumble, mumble... But plenty seems to be the same. Like crowded streets with little parking.
Nice quick find, sign and replace in the logical spot - well one of them.
Then off to my next target.
And another in this series down. Plenty to go!

EverestHigh I found your cache SELR Tram Stop #8 - UNSW High Street on 4/2/20, 1:50 pm. This is my find 2499 and find # 1 today. With the help of the hint, was a quick and easy find. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
I was on my way back from a couple of nearby new multies. And happy to have a go at all the new caches that have sprung up in the eastern suburbs in recent month.
This cache:
Finding a park and a way to get to GZ was harder than though not being too familar with the campus. ONce there I was a bit struck by the cryptic hint again but not too many places to search and hint as usual made sense after I found it.
Thank you EverestHigh for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Clever hide as expected!
Had a great time collecting these caches with the cache owner. Great tour of the city.
Thanks for the hide and the fun.

We took two of the grandsons for a trip on the light rail today and with their help grabbed a couple of caches.
After deciding where we needed to look we took a pew on the verandah where upon I was able to grab the hide in a place that looked promising. TFTC EverestHigh.
Thanks for this light rail series of caches. Well be back for more.

Nice and quiet all around gz which made for a comfortable quick search - had much better luck with this one than at the coffee shop up the street - TFTC
Found it with Anominous Sign on 22/12/2019 while trying out the new light rail. TFTC!
