Logs
Only replaced yesterday.Searched high and low and every nook and cranny but to no avail. Looked everywhere except where the cache is,Couple of possibilities the hint relates to but none that I could figure.Ironbark.
A new container has been placed. The hint still applies. The coords need to be adjusted slightly south.
Last time I was there, so was the cache. I am now going to replace the cache and adjust the coords slightly. Watch this space.
Spent a bit of time here reading then re reading previous logs. Understand coords are a bit off but in which direction?Sometimes clues dont make sense until you find it and that was today for me.
Second DNF. I sure there is some irony there somewhere that this is my SECOND no find. Not sure what though
Cache is still in place now with a fresh, dry log sheet, in a new bag. I will change the container soon, but it is good for now. Cache on!
Out in Centennial Park to clear some unfound caches and detoured here only to come away empty handed. TFTC!
Find # 8284
Nice quick find.
A great day for caching. Unfortunately we still have to go back to work. A comfortable 31° at the moment.

#3215 Third of seven finds while playing on the Light Rail in the Eastern Suburbs. Quick find after a short search. TFTC
Business trip in Sydney - took the opportunity to find some caches and took a long walk to find a bunch of the SELR series and others
Another quick find TFTC
Another quick find TFTC
Got to GZ and spotted something in the tree that shouldn’t be there, dismissed at first then had a closer look yes cache is there. The hardest part was getting the plastic bag out
Took a tram ride to Randwick. Quick find. Cache and log are good. TFTC EverestHigh.
Quickly found and signed before racing to the tram station to catch the tram which was in 2 minutes. Made it, just. Thanks EverestHigh, for all the caches in your series we found today. Have an FP for the series. TFTC
TFTC,
Found parking near by and used this as the start of our fitness walk. Nana managed a bit over 6,000 steps.
This was a previous DNF and was easy to find.

Parked nearby, now time to look where we had been before, today Wazza9 made the find. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to EverestHigh
Out today to contribute to the world record attempt and turn this previous DNF into a smilie face. A quite location so plenty of time to search. After searcher's a couple of possibilities we found the right two species - hurrah! TFTC EverestHigh
I checked in on this cache this afternoon, and it had gone missing. A new cache is in place and ready to be found.
Didn't find different species at the first place we looked but did at both the 2nd and 3rd. No luck with a cache.
Back in Sydney for work and to continue on some caches I had solved or previously started.
Nice to be in the shade and poked about until the hint made sense and the cache was found.
Thanks to EverestHigh for the fun and the adventure.

Unfortunately a dnf today. Thought I'd try to pick it up on a quick morning run but it was pouring and glasses completely covered in rain by the time I got there and could hardly see a thing. I'm still here for a couple more weeks so may attempt it again if it ever stays dry enough!
Had some time today for a journey down the tram line to tick off some unfound cache. Quick find here thanks to a helpful hint. Thanks for placing this cache EverestHigh #1259
Looking for something to keep the kids occupied so we decided to grab a cache and have a run around in this park. A nice easy find with a small boost up for Miss 5. TFTC
Lovely quiet spot right next to a busy road. Loved the hint. Found this little guy guarding the cache. TFTC!
Nice quiet GZ, nice quick find.
Cache a bit exposed so replaced with some more camo.
Thanks EH!

To help stop the spread of Covid-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to stay at home unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, it is my personal opinion that this activity is a non-essential one, perhaps involving unnecessary travel and therefore should not be undertaken during this time of crisis.
Who knows how long this current lockdown will last! Right now, every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, by staying home.
As a result of the health authority’s directive, I have decided to disable this cache and respectfully request that no person seek out and claim a find whilst this cache is disabled.
Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to bringing my caches back into play as soon as the health crisis abates.

No horses out on the back straight today! but at least we found the cache - great hint. Coords a bit out though. TFTC
I will temporarily disable this cache, until I can replace the log, and if necessary the container.

Just the one today, and decided to grab it before tonight's Waratah's game at the SCG - yes I'm a masochist, but I did get to see 17 tries in 80 minutes - and 7 of them were ours! Got probably the closest legal parking spot to GZ and walked back to the cache in the dark.
The iPhone was pointing at a few spots, but one looked most likely. Checked it but spotted nothing. Hmmm. OK, how about... yep. Found it nice and quick.
And the log is pretty much pulp at this point. Squeezed out quite a bit of water and managed to sign ... Interestingly it is only the ziplock bag that's really wet, so left the log out when I replaced.
This needs some TLC ASAP.

Had a good look around the GZ and identified some very likely locations
With two species, but no cache on this occassion.

Took a little while to find actual GZ, which is off a little. But, it always amazes me where trees think the can grow. TFTC
I’m using an iphone, but I agree with the others that say coords might be out. I know those big trees can play havoc, but I kept being lead back to the same wrong area. If you’re having trouble, try moving south a little. Dead obvious when you see it. TFTC.
The clue helped. Had to call in the big guns after 5min of searching and got somewhat frustrated. So gremlindaddy joined in and quickly had CIH. The two gremlinkids were chasing each other with broken branches and just about taking out their eyes.
Out on a Friday afternoon for some post-work geocaching. Returned with Mr Gaztek after a DNF on 1 October. Unlike the last visit, Mrs Gaztek spotted exactly what the hint was referring to. In fact, she spotted that last time too and mistook the container for something needing CITO. Doesn’t matter how long you’ve bern doing this. You still have off days! SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
Out for an afternoon geocaching walk on a day off work. Found a few occurrences of multiple species but no container. Will have a think and return another day. Cheers... Gaztek
just as i had given up and was planning to head home i took one last look behind me and spotted something strange - the hint suddenly made a whole lot more sense... i had the wrong two species in mind! container is wet and coords are off but another great hide co. tftc
Found today at 6pm in the drizzling rain. Like other previous finders, my GZ coordinates were off however once widening the search radius and looking for spots that fit the hint, the cache was soon in hand. Log a little damp, but still writeable.

Original plan was to ride the SELR to visit the caches in this series. After studying the timetable and time between stops and factoring in getting to/from the cache, decided it would be faster to take the cross-bike out for a roll around. So the visit order ended up being:
1-2-3-4-5-6-11 by bike; then took the light rail to 20 and finishing 10-9-8-7 by bike.
Congratulations on an excellent series, EH. And being fully operational before the SELR!

Needed the hint for this one - it is interesting botanically-speaking!

Was on my way to Randwick and impulsively jumped off the light rail. Fpund the cache but didn't have a pen to sign the log. I have a very clear photo though, taken on my phone, and I'm happy to send it to the CO if s/he wishes. TFTC and I'll be back to do more of the light rail series.
Spent the day on the tram and this was the cache I managed to find. Hd to pretend ding something else as a muggler observed me .The container is wet but the log is still intact.
Quickly found following the hint. Did a bit of maintenance as cache was wet tftc
Today I went searching for caches in the Randwick/UNSW area and this was the third of the day. The hint helped!
Thanks for this series.
Thanks for this series.
EverestHigh I found your cache SELR Tram Stop #9 - Wansey Road on 5/2/20, 12:45 pm. This is my find 2500 and find # 1 today. After reading the hint and previous logs, found the cache in the first place I looked. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
The hint was spot on. Good spot.
Had a great time collecting these caches with the cache owner. Great tour of the city.
Thanks for the hide and the fun.

Our only DNF of the day - sadly we had a fair look around but weren't able to locate it... will have to come back another day to remedy this one and the one up the road near the coffee shop ;p
Went for a light rail ride to get some of this series. Funny we saw some police and looking at past logs made us feel very dodgy TFTC
Over the the past few years, the Bromance (comprising CrookedPete, Seffnjarah, SwellerFungus and most recently JezNDez) have enjoyed road trips, bushwalking, overnight hikes, mountain climbing, kayaking and other adventures in search of some elusive caches. The first planned adventure for the brand new decade was a multi day hike in Kosciusko National Park bagging Australia's highest dozen peaks and all nearby caches.
Enroute to our adventure, Australia's bush fire crisis unfolded, and with the Kosciusko region on fire and closed, our plans gradually morphed to a caching road trip back to Queensland, collecting unusual and rarer caches along the way.
Whilst the crew enjoyed the air conditioning, I wandered over to GZ. Initially, my phone directed me to the wrong tree, but with reference to the hint, a quick find was made soon after. Some logs were signed with individual names or initials if log space was an issue, others with "Bromance". Our groups brand new "Bromance" stamp also got it's first use on some cache logs..
Thanks EverestHigh

My family and I travelled down from Brisbane to Vincentia and Canberra to spend the Christmas/New Year period with relatives. Yesterday my fellow geocaching team members from The Bromance (Swellerfungus, Crookedpete and JezNDez) arrived in Sydney to join me for a planned hike in Kosciusko National Park (ultimately cancelled due to closures by bush fires). The plan was to head to Canberra after collecting them from the airport but the smoke was so bad in Canberra that we decided to spend a few days caching in Sydney to see if conditions improved.
Because of the late change of plans we did not have an organised list of caches to find, instead we identified caches to target on the fly. This was one of the caches we managed to visit.
It was a stinking hot day and no one really wanted to volunteer to leave the car's air conditioning to get out and find this one. Eventually Crookedpete bit the bullet and headed over to make the find. TFTC

A walk in Kosciusko National Park was planned many months ago for the first week of January, before the now infamous fires were but a spark. As Christmas came and went, and the fires grew worse, I was not aware that fires were also starting in Kosi National Park. A day before we were to fly out the park was closed for a few days due to nearby fires, so with the chance of still going, we headed to Sydney. We waited and waited for the warnings to clear, but sadly this was not to be, and in fact, it has gotten much worse and the closures continued. We were not going to Kosi . While this was an inconvenience for us, our thoughts are with those who have suffered so much worse than us in this devastating event.
We decided to stay around Sydney and Newcastle for the week, and salvage as much as we could of our holiday. We had some great walks, cliff faces, beaches, swims and rocky crags. It was a fantastic time all around. Thanks to all the CO’s for the work they have put into these caches.

Found it with Anominous Sign on 22/12/2019 while trying out the new light rail. We were barking at the wrong tree for a long time, then Anominous Sign spotted something made a lot more sense. TFTC!
Today we headed out to Randwick on the new Light Rail (Tram), taking advantage of the cheap Sunday $2.80 per head capped Opal Card fares, to go on a cachey walk around some of the nearby suburbs. Collected caches from Randwick, Kingsford, Daceyville, and Kensington before rejoining the new tram service at the Royal Randwick Tram Stop for the journey back into the CBD. Then, after stopping off to see the David Jones animated Christmas windows and the Martin Place Christmas tree, we headed down to Circular Quay to board a Manly Ferry for the journey homeward. This was the 9th of 11 finds for the day.
This one was next on our cachey walk and was to be a reasonably quick find, after getting to the correct GZ. The GPSr initially had us at the wrong one, but we then moved to the next one and made the find as per the very good hint. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC EverestHigh.

Spent too long searching arou dthw wrong spot. After widening our search the clue suddenly made sense and the cache was quickly in hand. Thanks!
Lights turned red as I was flying down the hill on geobike. OK then, cache check. Oooohhh 15m you say? Don't mind if I do. Tftc
That was one nice Spot for a Cache ans with nearly no Muggels around easy to Log. Thx again to the owner for loads of Traditionals around the area
Last cache on my night walk.
Had z close encounter with a police patrol
I didn't notice them, but they obviously saw me. They were very friendly and let me go once they realized I was not looking fir drugs or troubles...
So the rough location of the cache is now known to a police couple ....

Am in Sydney to start aerial surveys so will be heading west then south and back again. Wanted at least one to get the kilometres up for my TBs and this wasn’t the closest but seemed the easiest. Ignored the GPS and followed the hint and soon had the cache in hand - all quiet here and torch not needed.

With the Climate Change rally in the city today a friend who works at UNSW rang and said no classes this arvo so come on over for a coffee. I grabbed my geo stuff and headed across the harbour.
I was lucky to find a spot for the geomobile in Wansey Road and walked back to the cache GZ. From this perspective Randwick Racecourse is much larger than I thought. I liked the new native plantings between the tram tracks and the road. Hope they grow well.
I read the clue as I walked and once near the intersection I knew where to look without use of the GPS.
The cache was easily found. When I opened the container there was a particular smell from it that brought back memories from my childhood!
