Jumped in with Roostaman for a drive around the Riverina, visiting a variety of caches. The weather was warm, and excellent for caching.A quick search and the cache was located, signed and replaced. Many thanks for placing this cache, The_Beccentric, for us and others to find.
Found it on a fine Spring day with The Drovers.A full day trip out to Griffith via a few detours. Found in good condition and not many muggles around. Thanks for the cache The_Beccentric, ***Roostaman***
An afternoon drive up to Yenda to pay my respects. A nice drive a little further along to find a cache. Log signed and returned as found.
We found your cache today 20 April 2024 11:21am , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC The_Beccentric
A loose plan was hatched for a 3-week road trip with RoamingHowie to explore locations in Country NSW wed not been to before and of course, find a cache here and there.DAY TWO: Exploring Griffith and Cocoparra National Park. Upon approach, I spotted what appeared to be a wriggly stick emerging from under the log. Nope just an ordinary stick. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, The_Beccentric ~~
It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 2: Exploring Griffith and surrounds. This one didnt take too much searching to locate. Thanks The_Beccentric for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. The [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) is on 18 February 2024.Looking for caches to find when visiting Victoria? There are plenty to choose from including all of the previous nominees and winners of the Victorian Cache of the Year Awards.
On the way home to Sydney from Broken Hill. Decided to take the 'scenic Southern' route via Griffith and to visit sporadic caches along the way.I can't believe how busy this dirt track is - there were trucks rumbling past every 30 seconds.TFTC
On the way home from 2 weeks away at Cliffhanger 4wd Event and the clutch on the truck gave up the ghost, si what do you do when you are broken down 1000km from home? Get a hire car and go do some caches
#21185. Day 5 of our escape into NSW. Another day touring around the area. This time a trip from Barellan to Griffith and back again. Started the day with a DNF and almost ended the day the same way but went on to find one more cache. Managed to find 13 and have 2 DNFs.
Whilst walking back to the car we both realised we had read the cache title as Master Chef. Not being at all interested in Science Fiction I have never heard of the Master Chief. It was a nce quick find and we continued on our way.
Thanks The_Beccentric

Day five of setting off north with BettyBoo3747 and geodoggies.
The weather in Beechworth has been far too damp and cold for caching!
Today we started in Barellen, drove to Griffith for a few caches, and returned to where we started.
A lovely blue sky, sunny day.
Neither of us had heard of Master Chief (we read it as Master Chef!)
Interesting to read about him though, and find a good sized cache.
Thanks, Robmc.

Cache 9620 on 28 Jan 2023.
On a road trip from CBR to Griffith to do some wine tasting with geo-man and geo-daughter over the long weekend. Finding a few extra caches in between wine tastings - I am the driver for today! It is brutal outside, 40 degrees, so only park and grabs at the moment!
Quick find keeping to the shade as much as possible. Cache holding up well!
Thanks The_Beccentric for the cache and the fun!

Thanks for the cache!
Out caching with Mrwhiskers76 today. We made our way to GZ, and thought it was in somewhere else but we kept with the coordinates and they were spot on.
We signed the log and replaced as found. We might take the bikes out, when I get around to getting L’s and the bike road legal …
Thank you for the cache! All was dry and lots of room on the log.

We had planned a road trip to Queensland to visit family in 2021, but our travel plans were stalled due to border closures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that the world was trying to get back to a semi normal state, we decided to have another go at getting away from the cold and head up north for some sunshine and warmth. Day 1 of our trip took us through many regions of NSW where we picked up some caches on our way through, and this was one of them. Apologies for the generic log, but thank you to all the cache owners for the placements.
Found It!
A quick find. Wondered what this spot had to do with cooking but then I read the name correctly...

This is one of the caches we targeted and found thankyou for giving us the opportunity to explore. We are now heading home to Queensland after attending the Wangaratta event .
Had to hop and skip over the deep puddles to get the very short distance to this cache from the road! The recent downpours made caching around Griffith a much different experience compared to the 43 degrees it was last time I visited!
Parked on the road too as there didn’t seem to be anywhere to pull over, the road seemed pretty dead though and didn’t see any other cars for the 5-10 minutes I was there.
Thanks!

Turns out I do have more to add about Master Chief. Turns out that while I was finding this cache, my eldest was at a Con get together in Sydney dressed as Shera and she found one of her teen years faves. See image attached.
Having never played Halo I have nothing to say except thanks for the cache and that that I swapped one item out and two in.
On a geocaching date from a nearby town with my newly inducted Geo-Bae, DatFaz! When we saw this Halo themed cache we knew we had to find it. Trekked through the scrub for a few meters to the Halo theme song, and then seized he! He was sad there were no Master Chief themed swappables remaining. Awesome cache though, TFTC!
Well hidden off the dirt road, MoonShadow98 and I fought through the Covenant shrub to find the “secret item” cache. Worthy of the Chief’s bravery and fortitude. TFTC.
Tankengine and I were traveling homeward bound. The last stretch of our trip today and should be home tonight. The over all trip was very good. Full of good food, good wine, good company and good caches. Thanks Tankengine for an awesome holiday.

21,665. Found with minniek during our October Long Weekend Outback Adventure.
Day 2 of our October Long Weekend Outback NSW trip. After packing up camp and having brekkie at the Narrandera Bakery (a must do when in the area) we headed off for more caches. This was the next on the list for me. We suspect we sprung the previous finders just after their find - lol. Once they cruised off we walked in for a quick find.
TFTC The_Beccentric !! Took a TB and left a couple.

A long weekend brings with it a weekend of camping and caching. fitzy_1965 and I decided to do a loop from Goulburn out to Naranderra, Griffith, Condoblin and back home so I could pick up the last few counties out that way.
Up nice and early, packed and on the road to Griffith via Leeton. As we arrived near GZ, a car was slowly backing away. I looked up and they waved....we think it was the previous finders. Would have been nice for a chat
Circled around GZ before making a sneaky find. We took a TB and left two.

We are trying to get a badge ,the author ,from project GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to get badges for adding photos to our found logs .
We started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full-time, living in a caravan for almost 2 years now, caching fits in well with this lifestyle. It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone. When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there in order to get the caches we want.
We are in Barellen for a few days at the showground camping area and will try to get some caches in town and surrounding areas. We are looking forward to the variety of hides we will encounter. Thank you for your work in placement and ongoing effort for maintenance of caches.
Trackables that are with us are
Ducinc Viking ship
Geocoin club November
Worldwide traveller
TE5 racer4 white origins
US flag micro geo coin
Mini purple.

Will definately be dropping a few of these as we have had some since prior to lockdown and a separate note will be written.
Once again thanks for the cache.

Our first cache and took us 7 minutes, but an easy hide. We’re hooked - thank you!
Found at 11:01 AM GAFF1.
Don't know anything about these video games, which I am sure is going to disadvantage us in some way in the near future - whether it is the loss of dexterity or the mind development to solve sticky situations.
We thought at first that the cache was going to be in the cemetery, but when we got to the gates we than changed our mind and headed off to the eastern side and walked into the bush for a nice find due to excellent co-ords.
Thanks The_Beccentric.

Port Macquarie heading to Millicent.
Todays trip was from Bathurst - West Wyalong for a coupke of days to attend a funeral, no caching done here as we had found them all on a previous trip.
We did stop along the way at numerous small towns & locations to find a few caches. This is a great way to break up the trip.
West Wyalong to Griffith, stopped to find a few caches along the way.
We have now set up camp at the Willows
Spending the afternoon touring the area following the caching trail.
Picked up a TB from this location.

Adelaide Trip Day 1. I was heading to Adelaide for the Christmas break and started my journey with a non direct route to Robinvale via Temora and Griffith. The day heated up as I went West, but being in and out of the car all the time it was not too bad and I had a great morning before the final dash to Robinvale without any further caches to be found. A few locals were talking whilst stopped at the train line, so I headed over and made my find and got a few odd looks as I came straight back out again.
Thanks.

With a day off and a few nearbyish FTF’s available, I decided on heading out for a caching. The only question was, which one/s would I go for? Given the two new ones in Galong was closer to the FTF hounds and because of this, I decided on attempting the one in Griffith. This ended up being the better option because I would have been up against Tankengine who refuses to leave without a FTF. After my drive to Griffith, I made 8 finds today starting with a FTF at ‘A Rusty Welcome’ (GC8EKYF). I will need to come back out to find the other caches around the outskirts of town that I haven’t attempted yet. Today’s fun included 8 finds, many different hides, very friendly muggles, lunch at HJ, and a small amount of shopping. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today for allowing them to bring me and the rest of the caching community. TFTC’s
My last find of the day and a nice quick one. TFTC and now time to head home.

I was visiting a recently set up banding site at Ungarie for the weekend, and fortunately had Friday off so decided to take a very circuitous route and camp near Rankins Springs to pick up a few caches. The aim was to get 5 cache types in 8 LGAs to beat my record for the latter, and to add some numbers to my total. In the end I got 38 caches with 2 DNFs (only one logged), 7 local government areas (still beat my best) and 2 bonus FTF as well (1 of the DNFs would have been a 3rd - and could have got 2 mores if I had decided to go for a walk). So was pretty happy with that and I would like to thank all the COs for their placement and maintenance.
I wasn't certain if this was in Carrathool or Griffith LGA (I think the latter) so I made sure I had another to get my last 'county' for the day. It wasn't until I started reading the log on site that I realised that I had a chance for [FTF] here. And so it was - GPS took a little to settle but in the end I just looked and there the cache was. I am surprised this got through the moderators with so much branding mentioned - I got one knocked back with a single mention of Pokemon Go! Cache all good and returned as found.
