Found during a wonderful meander around the forests and hills out the back of Uriarra Village today.I parked in the village and started the planned loop, and after circumnavigation blackberries, gullies, streams and hill climbs and descents I soon arrived at this one. At GZ I soon had the cache in hand. Cache is in perfect condition. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued along (down) the trails to the next cache on my list. Thanks noikmeister !! Nice to finally knock off these puzzles. Fav Point !

I managed to get these puzzles solved during lockdown, with varying degrees of assistance required (from zero to lots). This afternoon I popped out with the eMTB and had a very enjoyable ride finding these caches, which are all in spots enjoying fantastic views over the dam. Cache quickly found at GZ, and in good condition. A random pic from today's adventure attached.

Thanks, Noikmeister.

**This Cache**
A relatively easy puzzle until you have to find the square root of a number to 30 decimal points. Got there in the end. Quick and easy find after realising we had walked further than necessary - too much talking as usual. TFTC Noikmeister.

**Our Walks**
Both GeoPartner and I had family commitments over the last 4 days so we were itching to catch up for a long walk in the few hours we had free today. We had finally completed the Noikmeister phrases this week (with a little help) so it was time to fetch them and a handful of others nearby. The overcast foggy start was perfect for brisk walking.

Walk 1 - we solved the Numberland 9 & 10 fun maths puzzles giving us the opportunity to also find 'Track 9 3/4'. It was a 3.61km and 159m ascent/descent return walk on a beautiful haunting foggy morning. The walk took us 1.5hours and we spent some 30mins with Tom, a park ranger that we met also on the Pipeline Road a few weeks ago, we chatted of the great locations in NNP before parting ways.

Walk 2 - finally having the coords for Noikmeister's 7 phrases we then walked straight to this location. We met up with DARKSIDEDAN and Loci612 on our 2nd last find. We had a lovely chat exchanging caching experiences then headed off to the next cache together before parting ways. The time taken to find this group of caches was just over 2 hours, 120m ascent/descent for just under 10km. We did go cross country at places but paid the price being repeatedly bitten by blackberries along the way.

Walk 3 - a short roadside climb to find a DARKSIDEDAN cache fighting blackberries most of the way up but found a clearer path to come down. After finding the cache we lunched nearby enjoying the views. A 650m return climb with 67m ascent/descent taking 45min including lunch. We then picked up the data for the DSD multicache down the road to find another day.

I was in this area last week, but up on Mt Macdonald. As I peered down towards the dam, I realised it was about time to get some smileys for solved puzzles. So today, armed with geobike, I scooped them up.

Now these type of puzzles are right up my alley. Applying a bit of maths soon had a nice angle to get the 30 digits.

No problems at GZ. Quite a nice view. I recall riding my bike over the old creek where the dam is now. TFTC NM. A fave for the puzzle and the view.

After several weeks cooped up 'working from home', I needed to get out and get caching. I ask Aquilus1 if she is available, and sure enough she is. Trying to find a days caching that we both want to target, especially while Namadji is closed, was a little difficult, but we settled on Uriarra where Aquilus1 was missing about half the caches, and I was missing all but one.

So, which ones to target? We decided on ALL. OF. THEM. At least that was easy.

So we started with the 'west' loop first, which included a dirty great big hill, part way down and then back again. Very pleased to also pick up three puzzles long solved.

On our return to the car, no having suffered enough punishment yet, we then went and did the 'east' loop. It involved more down and then up.... but at least it was a long, sort of relaxing (if we ignored the ankle/feeat/leg pain) descent back to the car.

All caches found, though some took longer than others. Sorry for the generic log, we did quite a few!

More great puzzles

When GreyHams asked if I wanted to join him for a bit of caching, I was indeed keen and also looking forward to get out for some fresh air and exercise. It ended up being a lovely day to be out in the area, and we sure got a lot of fresh air and a huge amount of exercise!!!

There were two close by but different sections we were looking at targeting, a few caches I had previously found but both sections held ones we both needed. Which ones do we decide to do... yes, ALL. OF. THEM!

Provided for a lot of walking, we got a lot of steps in but it is a nice area and still quite green after the rains from a while ago so made for a nice day as we walked the trails. The order for the day worked out well with the big hills tackled first and after our lunch of champions we moved across to the second area and once back up to the flat levels behind the village, much easier going to end the day on.

All caches were easily found but the one which took a lot longer hidden well but luckily spotted for the find. Thank you for your cache which led to an enjoyable day out!

As I was in the area after finding an archived cache, I took the opportunity to go for a long walk and grab two trads and these solved puzzles. Cache easily found. Puzzle easily solved soon after publication, once I found the right online tool. Brought back mmories of my uni days. TFTC.

Field log. Full log to follow.
The last few steps of the puzzle were nice and easy. But I really struggled with the first steps. I knew the main thing that was required, but I totally used the wrong operator. I had forgotten high school maths. I felt pretty embarrassed. But I suppose I have used my powers of cognition for very different problems, such that it's optimised for one task, but somewhere along the way several useful mathematical abilities were discarded.
At GZ I found the cache very quickly, thanks to great coords. The views from GZ were very nice, with the sun shining. I took some photos on my walk, but I won't upload them because they give away the general vicinity of GZ.
Thanks for another Numberland puzzle, NM!

This puzzle was a little bit harder. Well, for me anyway. I'm sure there must have been an easier way, but I ended out solving it mathematically - but in a harder way than I may have expected... After that, the angle was found, and with the assistance of a calculator more powerful than mine, I had the answer! Thanks for the cache Noikmeister.

Yabba Dabba Doo *FTF* at 6:32am! Big GrinBig Grin

The Puzzle in Numberland 10 were fun and didn't take long so I expected this to take more time given the higher D rating, happy to find that this took not much more time and only that long as I had made a small mistake in my mental fractional arithmetic which made things much more complicated. When the checker said now and checked to find the mistake and all good from there.

After a busy work week I was keen to fit in another hike so got up early to get the two new ones. Still in my boot as I wasn't too sure about the terrain but probably for the better, certainly the longest hike I have done since. A pretty morning with some clouds, little enough to let the sun through and quite warm. Saw tonnes of Yellow Tail Black Cockatoos and they where quite talkative this morning.

A quick find at GZ, easy to spot from afar and another blank logbook! These FTF are particularly special as they continue a old tradition. Almost exactly 8 years ago I had my very first FTF on Numberland 3 and my third ever FTF was Numberland 4. So I am very happy to continue this series with these two latest finds.

Another FAVpoint for the fun math puzzle, I love the way it is set up as a question, very nicely done. Thank you Norkmeister Wink for the puzzle and the nice walk, its always so pretty out here.
