There was a bit of a combined groan as we approached GZ thinking we were going to be in for a long search, but by chance we re-read the description and lo and behold it became a short search.Today we decided to head to the Albert Park Lake area as our diversion on the way home. A lovely area, but at time interesting to navigate you way round. We also stopped for a number of other caches on the way. This is one of the caches we found today.Family matters have brought us to Melbourne for a period of time yet to be determined. As we spend time here however it gives us the opportunity for some caching in areas we would not usually get to.We chased a wide variety of caches and Labs with some great puzzles and Labs in some beautiful spring weather.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache giggida.**SKI Pair****
*Found on the 5 Nov 2024 @ 11:39am.**Cache find # 16036.* While attending a near by event I decided to head over to this one it was the only one of this series that I had not found, once there I was able to make a quick find**Thanks to giggida for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
I was wondering how much stamina I had for checking every gum nut around here and I was almost despairing on finding this cache when I read the cache page again and focused on another spot in the vicinity. Suddenly I spotted a familiar type of hide geocachers use to hide a cache. What a relief! The cache is in excellent condition. Im finding out just how many sporting facilities there are around here.
Thanks new to this. But I have run past this spot many times doing parkrun, Melbourne marathon and just training.
Bisoutje and I are on a roadtrip with a campervan between Cairns and Adelaide and have now touched ground in Melbourne. We have spent 3 beautiful days here filled with sightseeing, good food, meeting the most friendly people and of course finding some geocaches as well.Today we explored the southside of the Yarra river, starring at St. Kilda and working our way up to the Botanical gardens. Given that we are F1-fans we enjoyed walking around Albert Park, walking on the racetrack occassionally. We also managed to find some caches in this sporty park. This was a quick find for us.TFTC!
Came here after inter school sports at MSAC wrapped up. Nice and easy find with some interesting swag. Still dont really understand the hint though. Log books a little wet.TFTC
Athletics and soccer were my sports growing up so it was good to find this cache. Whilst my Geo son rain around the formula one circuit I went for this cache. An easy find. TFTC.
A surprise visit to see my better half and since hes at the age where he needs an arvo nap I thought I would head out for a walk. Its a glorious day so why not go out and see the sights of this beautiful city. A nice quick find with a billion muggles everywhere TFTC
Today I wanted to visit Albert Park and then the Shrine of Remembrance with Docla and my son. We walked around Lake Albert, visited the Formula 1 race track in Melbourne and then looked at the exhibition in the memorial, which impressed us greatly. We also passed by a few cans, which we of course visited as long as they were within reach. This traditional was one of them. Thank you very much for this can and greetings from Germany.
What a nice place you brought us to. Thank you for the cache. Greetings from the Netherlands
Lady membsec is in a local large medical centre participating in trials which gave me the opportunity to walk the lake on a fine morning. Plenty of work still going on with hundreds of workers dismantling the Grand Prix structures. As a walked I reflected on the incredible waste of money when so much is required for basic needs. GPS wandered around but I eventually settled on a well structured item where I would have put it. Surprised by the container. TFTC and the series. Should be a really enjoyable walk when all the debris is cleared.
Found this one on a beautiful walk around Albert park with Shamrock_banana. Thanks for the cache
On secondment to Melbourne, Australia, combined with short holidays here and there. From day 49/74, I was accompanied by my dear son, geocacher Ruupertti, who travelled from Finland to visit me in Australia and to spend a holiday with me in New Zealand at the end of my secondment. Day 61/74, Friday. Today after a short working day, we headed to - woohoo - Albert Park to see the first day of the Formula Grand Prix. We had a great day. In the late evening we continued our working day and had several online meetings still to Finland. That is the "fun" part of working on two time zones. This cache we found in the Albert Park when walking around the area. Thanks for the cache and greetings from Vaasa, Finland! After a nearby event, a small group took the opportunity for a stroll around the Sporty Loop. Many eyes made short work of finding this one. Another full log replaced by SdL and it was off to our next cache. Thanks giggida for placing this Traditional Cache to enhance the game board and add to our enjoyment.
Found by Mary and David at 10:25. A quick find with the group. This log full too, so another slip of paper added. Our thanks to giggida.
A group of about 8 cachers took a walk around for the Sporty Loop cachers after the mid morning event and this cache was our next stop...and again with so many eyes, the cache was soon spotted. Another full log so we replaced this one as well. Should be good for another few finders.A great day for a walk around the area so thanks for the placement giddida....cache all good to go again.
This was last cache in this series for us to find. Beautiful day and lovely walk around the lake. TFTC

Hey owner! We found this in the middle of a grass patch, unsure if this is intentional or not, but based on the clues and previous finders, weve re-hidden based on the hint. You made need to check in on this cache
Great spot, thanks! Dont overthink it. We needed both our eyes and hands to get to it.
Thank you for maintaining this little cache, that we visited on our last day in Australia.
