Found with previous finders allister w and Team Waldron after attending the Reynolds Viewpoint CITO event. Thanks for the cache sir_spectre!
After a drive to Normanville for a FTF, spent the afternoon caching around the town and it’s surrounds. This cache is one that was found today. A quick park and grab here. That’s one hell of a slippery slope. All good here.
Find #5006 on 3 Jan 2023.

Another Wednesday wander of the Befuddled group with the Starfish, Adder and a Mule. The Rat was not able to join us.
Todays target area as down south around the Myponga area where a couple of high terrain hides were sought.
As always, all caches were visted and signed by all members of the group or each member had a part to play in retrieving the prize.
All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.
After finding an easier route to GZ (the straight line is usually the hardest) we searced a few nooks and crannies before finding the prize.
Thank you for the cache %Cachename sir_spectre, found 11/05/2022

Parked in the car park and thought this was going to be an easy one. Checked gps for directions and realised, not so easy. Oh my poor feet. Thank goodness Carrots has better agility than I do. TFTC sir spectre
Last day at Normanville. Was blowing a gale so had to give up on a couple of caches. Didn’t even feel safe in the car wind was so strong. Happy to get a smilie. Tftc
Drove south for a seachange caching day with Sebastbat and Jack, not a big numbers day but thinning out the little boxes on our maps. A nice change of scenery and a little cooler down here than back home.
A little poke around and soon had a cache with a view.
Appreciation to sir_spectre for placing and keeping this cache on our SA geo game map

Looking around every day finding and signing using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck Plenty of that actually!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*
---
Please do stay as safe as possible when caching.
Keep a lookout for bogs, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]
Try to keep Travel Bugs as the only bugs you share and pass on
Now our borders are open - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
Much appreciation of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Looked for about 15 seconds and found the cache. It is not quite where the coordinates indicated but it is an easy find. Nice views.
I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.
The cache was found in the last place we looked, which as usual was not the first place we looked. Thanks for placing a fun cache guys. We do love your work. We signed the logbook. Of course we did that is way we play this game. Cache in pretty good condition for the cache age.

7 years of travelling Australia and yet we have never visited Normanville so we are here now to rectify that. With clouds overhead, and some heavy rain overnight we decided to cache mostly inland today. Some great scenery even though the sun was hiding. Amazed that we were above 400m Elevation in quite a few spots.
Found 10mts from our coords, just as we read previous logs giving better coords. [B)]

The coords took me to a spot where I couldn't find the cache. There was a bigger and better outcrop a bit further along. Looking at the logs I saw Sir Spectre's coords and put them in. This took me to the larger rocks where a quick find was made. Great views from up here. [^]
Heading down to stay at Myponga for a couple of nights to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. So some sightseeing planned and maybe pick up a few caches here and there. I even managed to find two previous DNFs but as it sometimes goes added another to the list.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]

A second attempt at this one as last time the carpark was fully packed. Coordinates are slightly out. Try S 35 25.257 E 138 20.359. What a beautiful view ! Unfortunately there’s a bit of rubbish around which is disappointing.

Found after widening our search, a familiar cache container, good to see them being put to good use. great view from the lookout and even from GZ. The lookout has been remodelled since we were here to find the previous cache too.
Out and about doing a tour of the area and thought we would tidy up the caching map a little and what luck we discovered a nice boutique brewery up the hill, its very popular on a weekend so we might give the beer tasting a miss today.
Thanks sir_spectre for placing and maintaining this cache. Found it, signed it, and replaced as found. TNLN

On a long weekend away on the Fleurieu, on the way back to Adelaide on a glorious winter's day - found where Hurtle said, about 8m further around at the large rocks, which matches the hint better. TFTC
Couldn’t find. Spent a good half an hour and tried to take note it may be a little away from the map. Will try again another day.
Great view up and down the coastline here! We found the cache pretty quickly on a drive with some friends. TFTC

Found out with Beary Organised for the second time here & we got a Smilie today. sure we looked in that crack last time! TFTC TNLNSL
Thank God we actually got this little blighter. Found it with CherryRose. Being the only two who had DNFs we returned on this VERY windy day. Sure we looked there last time because it’s the obvious place. Heart attack when a spider ran across my side vision into a hole. TFTC TNLNSL
Went to GZ, nothing. Then read the logs and found the cache 9m away. Lovely views from here!
Cache is in good condition and nicely protected. Nice place on this fine but windy day, Thanks for showing us this spot!
After a nice day spent at Normanville with friends I had a few caches that I wanted to find on the way home...well in the complete opposite direction from home, but isn't that what cachers do?
I was heading in the right direction now and this was the last on my list. I read all the comments about coords and just headed to where I thought the cache would be and there it was in the first place I looked.
Came back up and took a few photos but as it was very late afternoon the sun didn't help much.
Thanks for the cache sir_spectre.

This one needs its D rating upped if poor co ords are the go, will keep an eye on it. We looked with a GPS
Today, @gridge98 and I had planned to attend the scheduled McLaren Vale CITO, and then continue heading south targeting some high terrain/difficulty geocaches hidden along the coast and within the cliffs. We headed all the way down to Rapid Bay, and then proceeded to stop at Second Valley, then Normanville/Carrickalinga, and finally making a quick stop into Aldinga. We got very lucky with great cool-ish weather, and perfect sea conditions with flat seas and low tide to scramble over any required rocks.
We had some doubts about this one given a few DNFs before us, and so went to GZ and started looking around. There was a logical spot, but no cache. The hint didn't make any sense though, so we continued to expand the vicinity looking around. gridge98 went one way, while I went another. However, it was gridge98 that made the find, with the hint now making the hide location obvious! We found this cache approximately 15 m away from where the coordinates required us, with my GPS indicating S 35° 25.525' E 138° 20.361' for GZ.
As one would expect for such a new cache, the container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks sir_spectre for the cache placement, and ongoing maintenance. Some awesome views from here!
