Revisiting this cache after finding it a few years ago. Always nice toCome back and check on our faves!
Finding the well camouflaged treasure was harder than the maze. Thank you for the effort!
Determined to find this one after a previous failed attempt.Thankfully, after some extensive searching we found the right GZ!#7339
Wow! What an amazing cache and great camo A bit of a search around and the cache was in hand. A bit more fiddling and the log was signed. A favourite point for us TFTC
After spending the night in Whitianga we had time to explore the Coromandel before heading home. We spent longer locating this well camouflaged cache, as it was covered in pine needles, than it took to open the cache and extract the log.
It didn’t take long to extract the log from this amazing cache. FP given

Wow… favorite for me. Also a challenge to out it back together. Fantastic spot. TFTC
Haven't come across one of these before so that was exciting! The excitement lasted quite a while (!) but we won ourselves a coffee reward - and probably a cakee too! Cache is all good. Earns a fave from us. TFTC
Was staying in Rings Beach for a few days with my niece (booboobecky). Was able to get her back into caching as well.
Awesome cache.....took us 15 minutes to find it, then another 5+ to open it :-p Becky found it and eventually opened it. Gets a fav point from me.

Definitely a tricky find! Find it within about 20 minutes but was a great cache. Puzzle was a little tricky but we got it in the end.
Wow such a cool cache! Took a bit to locate but got there in the end. Lovely walk. Thanks
I simply love field puzzles! This one included. But it took longer to locate the cache what with plenty hint places to choose from and a jumpy gps. Cache is very stealthy as well! Difficulty rating for me is more for the finding than the solving. great idea and execution for the field puzzle.

Took a while to find the cache and then the fun started. Malinkaly took the lead in this one and after a few minutes the logbook was in hand. Good camo for what it is.
Malinkaly and I planned a road trip to go to the MEGA but Covid has postponed the event again. We decided to continue on with our planned journey making adjustments as we go with the ever-changing travel restrictions.
Greetings from Dunedin!
Thanks for the cache, peejay

The mini cachers loved this one!
Granted, took us longer to find than to open, once we worked out the system..
Brilliant find, made our day. Big favourite point from us! Tftc

2.30pm. I hadn't read the description but soon figured out what needed to be done. Took a while though! Favourite point for this one.
Thank you. David
Thank you. David
A-mazi-ing cache indeed! A quick find by junior cacher and then he and his cousin took a bit longer to work out to get to the log book, and then put back together. Really well made and well deserving of a favourite point, TFTC!
amazing 3d print quite easy to get apart harder to put back together again TFTC
Found with toby84. Very clever case. We enjoyed the challenge of opening and then trying to close it again.
Found the cache. And then the fun started. We're obviously going to be here a while so i made myself comfortable and started work. The dragon thought it might be better if it was mapped, so she took over the solving and dug out a paper and pen. I don't know if it helped, but she got it done. I had a look at the cache after, and yes, I see the tricky bits. Alas too small for a path tag, but it gets a favourite anyway.
This, and a number of others on the point, were missing off my GPS. Odd, I don't know why. But it was an excellent opportunity to teach the dragon how to do a gamin to gamin wireless transfer (I can't remember the garmin name for it).
Taybeedragon and I went on a tour of the Coromandel - one of the few places of New Zealand, especially of Te ika a Maui, that I have yet to explore throughly, and from there along the coast to Opotiki to see one of my many, many sisters. From 18 December to 5 January we found over 400 caches, including 12 adventure labs (60 caches), 20 or so TMGTs and a host of virtuals and earthcaches. And I hosted an event to see the sun come up on New Year's day - surprisingly popular given that it was at 5am. We climbed a lot of hills, saw some amazing beaches that were quite popular despite (or because of) the insane access to them, walk a lot of bush, entered and explored 8 gold mines and generally had an awesome time. However I am glad to be back, but now is the hard part, and I fear it will take just as long - logging!

We are off for a walk along Matarangi Peninsular in the light rain. Found this one OK but the trick was getting into it. I decided to map it - took me two goes and 2 pages of my trusty notebook but finally got it sorted. Left our calling card. Cheers. Loved it. Fav from me.
Day 6 - Wednesday 23 December - Coromandel - Whitianga - Coromandel -And back to Whitianga again. 309 Pony express is the aim today. But it was a hot dusty day and many caches below par so dissapointing. Left Zara in Whitianga and headed out around the loop in Toby.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are off on another geocaching escape over Xmas, this time to the mighty Coromandel, then over to Opotiki and stop off at Rotorua to return home on 5 January. Had an fabulous time exploring many wonders of our country. Rounding up over 400 caches along the way, with a few LABS, 20 odd TMGTs, virtuals and lots of interesting earth caches to keep the mind busy. Watching the sun come up on New Years Day at Mt Maunganui was spectacular. Lots of walking and even more driving. But had an awesome time. Thanks to all COs who made this adventure so special.

Really nice container. Took us a while to find it but we finally got there. TYFTC
We weren't sure what to expect with this one and loved the cache when we found it. So unique and clever.
We sat down and enjoyed the day while we solved the puzzle and it didn't take too long to access the log although putting it back took slightly longer.
Such a fun hide, the best we have found for a while. A favourite point for sure.
Thanks peejay.

Great cache, out for a walk and cam across this one. Loved the fun of it. Thanks for the time putting it together.
What an a-mazing cache. A well deserved favourite. We came over for the day to get some caches and bought the dog for a ride/walk. What a lovely spot. Will definetly bring the hound back when it is not so windy. Great spot. TFTC
Very cool cache beautiful walk in a wonderful area..so peaceful today and the weather is near perfect many thanks peejay I really appreciate this type if cache an easy fav here ..well done
A-maze-ing. What a great camo and cool puzzle. Not to mention the view! Thanks for bringing us here to experience this cache.
Away in the camper for a few days to check our caches and do the TMGT caches around Whitianga. Saw there were some new ones around Matarangi so stayed overnight and went for a walk in the morning to have a look for this one. Arrived at GZ and soon found the container but then came the hard bit. Mrs S had a go without luck, so Mr S had a go and had no luck either so Mrs S kept at it and eventually solved the problem. Yah. Definitely worth a FAV awesome cache.
Thanks peejay.
Thanks peejay.
Unexpected long weekend! Off to Coromandel then... Day 2 ... Locate container took longer in my case than to open I reckon .... Was well hiden and my GPS pointed opposite direction. Nice one. TFTC
Very cool cache in a beautiful spot. Thanks for putting the time into this one. Found with NZGeo
Returning to NZ after 8 years. Catching up on caches missed and new and areas not discovered. What an area this is! Great loop walk taking in the local area.
Awesome cache box!! Great fun.

This one was super awesome, easy enough to find but the maze really was a-maze-ing! Tftf
Well it's time to hit the road on my annual clear out of the area. Mostly G-2 caches of course but every now and then I was surprised with a different CO. Early start and a great day for it with only one DNF right at the end.
Now this one was cool - it did take us a little while to find though. Again - it would be neat to be able to make these. The cache was eventually found in good condition thanks to accurate coords, a good hint and a straight forward placement. Cheers peejay, TFTC +1FP

Another day with KGD in the Coromandel. Our mission was to do a circuit to clear the area tftc.
Hairy found it so he had to open it ha ha

Find number 6252. Another day with Boges in the Coromandel. Our mission was to do a circuit to clear the area (again) for him and for me to grab a few extras on the way. We wandered around to this one. Eventually I had the cache in hand but it took me awhile to get my hands on the log. Thankfully i took less time to put it back in place. Thank you for the placement.
I hitched up my snail shell and moved from Fitty to Matarangi this morning and after setting up and lunch it was time to sign off oa few caches.
I initially had trouble in locating the cache because of a wrong mind set on what I was looking for. When I spied somethingf that didn't look quite right I knew I was on a winner. Then it was on to get to the logsheet. One can not rush these things. Throroughly enjoyed the challenge. Worth a fave.
Cheers for the cache.

{FTF}... With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and NZFlossy... We are chasing some TMGT caches today with the intention of visiting the Tuia Mātauranga Roadshow in Whitianga this afternoon...
Today’s mission also allowed us to visit other nearby caches... It took a while to get to this ground zone. We took the ‘overlander’ route via the golf course. On arrival, it took a couple of sweeps to find the cache - We haven’t seen this sort of container before. It took a lot of patience, care, and finesse to get to the logbook... Hope to see more of these sorts. Thanks peejay and TFTC.

Found 5.20pm
We decided we might make it up as far as Thames today to start on the Tuia Matauranga Geo Tour, guessing we will never complete all of these caches in New Zealand plus collect any other caches on the way.
Picked up Squirrel Nutcase and the NZ Flossy at Te Poi.
We made great progress and ended up in Whitianga where we decided to visit the Road Show here today. Great amount of New Zealand past history, could have spent a lot longer here but the place was packed and with time on our side we continued North. SLTFTC

Out for the day with Squirrel Nutcase and Gap collecting the TMGT caches and a few others. Raining a little at the start but the day got better and better. Thanks to all the COs - loved reading and learning about the history Whoop whoop a joint {TFF} on a Coromandel trip Lovely walk and place to sit while we netted this one out TFTC
