Visiting Griffith and after dinner went for a walk to see if I could find my first cache in two years or so. Old skills came into play and made the find of a common enough container back in my peak days. Thanks!
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Making our way to Broken Hill for Mundi Mundi Bash. Staying in Griffith for a few days. Sun is shining so we headed out to find some caches before Chinese for lunch. TFTC jameskomodo and the_beccentric
Found on a rainy day as we passed through Griffith trying to fill in the time until the rain stopped we decided to find some caches around town. Log was very screwed up and damp. Tftc
Out and about on the school holidays, with the rain it seemed like the perfect activity to come and find some caches! Love exploring thanks for the find.
Road trippin with the kids these school holidays to the central west of NSW - we love exploring places we've never been! After staying the night in town this was a quick find after a visit to the market for fresh locally grown citrus! Thanks for the cache
Second time visiting this cache, to introduce my boyfriend to the world of geocaching but we forgot a pen to sign the log. Look nearby for a lucky coin instead.
On a road trip out to Broken a hill trying out our a new Teardrop camper. Caching along the way.Enjoyed finding this one as there was a family group having a BBQ Close by, did the old chatting on the phone routine while scanning GZ, don't think we were spotted? Now just got to replace it!Thanks for maintaining the cache
Well well, this one was interesting as some muggles near buy having a bbq . But geo hubby pretending to be on phone while I tried to spot the cache. Soon had it in hand. Went away for signing duties and back on the phone for replacing All good we think TFTC
After spending an awesome weekend at Lameroo for the JLWE , we are taking the long way home, collecting counties and any other caches of interest. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
Went to the location and couldn't find the cache, we are new to all this so we didn't know if what we were looking at was right or wrong but eventually we gave up
Nevermind we decided to not give up and come back and after a little more looking we found it thanks for the cool experience
Big thanks to jameskomodo and the_beccentric for placing this cache. Cache number 8991 on April 20, 2024
Found with Mogni, Quick find. Needed a find in this LGA, new NSW LGA for me. Found with Mogni. Myself and mogni are headed off to canberra on the " I missed the Capital GeoBash Mega " holiday, since last minute family problems came in to play and we had to adjust our plans by a few weeks. On the way over we targeted multi's, wherigo's and puzzles to make sure we had 25 in each or at least close to that total ( or more ) as possible, getting as many new New South Wales LGA's as possible, the 17th most favourite point NSW cache and every cache size in New South Wales. In the ACT it was getting 2 of the 5 oldest letterboxes, oldest wherigo in Australia, 2nd oldest earthcache ( with a side trip to get the oldest earthcache of course ), and ACT oldest cache too. I also hosted a CITO and planned on getting every different cache type i could and eevry different cache size as well. I also needed 9 more virtuals this trip to get my virtual count over 100. Finally canberra was far enough away from from house to complete the well aged well travelled cacher 0 to 1000 kms with a cache every 10 km's ( i only need 7 more caches to complete )Leaving the ACT it was going via Victoria to get there last active web cam cache and slowly getting a total of 20 finds in each LGA i passed through if i had enough time plus also hosting a CITO in Victoria as well. A busy 11 days. Trust me by the end of the holiday you would have thought the 6 meter ladder weighed more than 13 kg's to amount of times it was used or carried up hills or over creeks. If your cache was found with a broken container/lid it was replaced or if the log was full it was replaced or a extra log if the container was big enough ( except for nano's, do your own maintenance on nano's.
Day 1 of mogni and sir_spectre visit the ACT. Today was a big day, Victor Harbor to Wagga Wagga. Only a few caches were found, but they helped with new LGA's, or just making our maps the same. Any caches that needed some attention got it.Thanks to jameskomodo from mogni
Caching in the area.A quick find on most caches, some taking longer than others.Signed and replaced as found. Many thanks for placing this cache, jameskomodo, for us and others to find.
One last cache before we check in and head for a beer. With muggles close by, we wandered past a couple of times before finding it. A sneaky grab by Miss E and over to the BBQ to sign. A quick snap back in place and we were done. Thanks JamesKomodo
Day 15 of our Great Leap Forward leap year Mega trip of 2024. Caching today with GLISS! Always wonderful to be travelling across the country enjoying the amazing scenery and caching along the way. Main focus for this trip has been to tidy up the last couple of counties needed in Victoria and make a serious dent in the South Australian ones. Plus a few days in Adelaide enjoying the mega fun. A hot dry trip this time around. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining these caches so we can enjoy the game.
Day 15 of my Leap Year Mega trip. Today is the final Hay to Home leg. Quickly found with Nibletricecakes. TFTC.

Heute wollten wir noch einige Caches machen. Aber bei diesen heissen Temperaturen, am Abend noch 38 Grad schafften wir nur 2. Besten Dank frs legen und pflegen.
Found it But a person by the name of Savo Robert Ciampa stole it. It is in the nice black house across the road from the cache
On an west to east and back roadtrip... We'd seen the town name on so many signs we figured it was deserving of a visit... Having heard about it was something of a Burley Griffin vision, we found our way to the circles at the top of town, before stopping by this lovely park to check out the irrigation canal. A fairly straightforward find here, thanks for the hide jameskomodo and the_beccentric, nice to add a smiley to the map to mark our visit.
Find#6400Nice hiding place What a epic road trip exploring Australia Thanks for the cache
A loose plan was hatched for a 3-week road trip with RoamingHowie to explore locations in Country NSW wed not been to before and of course, find a cache here and there.DAY TWO: Exploring Griffith and Cocoparra National Park. Upon arrival, a muggle was parked right there. We were just about to leave and come back later, when he decided to move on. The cache was spotted soon after. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, jameskomodo ~~
It was time for the traditional post Christmas road trip. The stockings were emptied of presents, feasts were devoured and great times were had with family and friends. Now to get away!Day 2: Exploring Griffith and surrounds. We arrived at GZ and there was a muggle parked infront of where we needed to be. We stopped further down to reassess our plans and just as we turned around to go and fuel up instead, they jumped in the car and left. Winning.A short loop around the object and the cache was found. Thanks jameskomodo for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! On the way home from 2 weeks away at Cliffhanger 4wd Event and the clutch on the truck gave up the ghost, so what do you do when you are broken down 1000km from home? Get a hire car and go do some cachesNice easy find and a great spot to stay overnight and fix the truck tftc
Heading south today with Selva Girls and grabbed a few caches along the way and this was one of them. Once at GZ the cache was soon in hand. Log signed and all returned as found. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for me and others to enjoy. TFTC jameskomodo

On our travels we found ourselves in Griffith and took the opportunity to grab a few caches, this was a nice quick find once the muggles left, thanks for placing it
Well my whirl wind tour of 5 states in 3 weeks started in Vic then SA then the NT, then sunny QLD and now in NSW and I’m heading for VIC today so it will soon be over.
I was able to locate a few caches here or there as I wasn’t able to do to much caching on this trip as I’m with muggle friends.
So after doing half of the the trip I decided to ditch the other couple but that is for another story so let’s go caching.
Stayed at Mount Hope last light which is a great little pub which has plenty of work being on it by the new owners.
Needing this LGA so I picked this one as it was a great spot to pull up with the van in tow.
I plan to come back up this way and stop in Griffith to explore some more.
Thanks James Komodo and the_beccentric TFTC.

As I arrived at the parking spot for this one, I thought I was going to be stymied by a person cooking their breakfast! As I approached GZ though, I realised that with a bit of stealth, I might be actually able to make the find. Sure enough, it wasn't long before I had the stash in hand at 09:30 and was signing the log down near the water to avoid any curiosity from the aforementioned cook.
Putting it back was a lot easier and so I was soon on my way.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks jameskomodo and the_beccentric.

Day five of setting off north with BettyBoo3747 and geodoggies.
The weather in Beechworth has been far too damp and cold for caching!
Today we started in Barellen, drove to Griffith for a few caches, and returned to where we started.
A lovely blue sky, sunny day.
The willow trees were not all that impressive with no leaves on their coat! I suspect they look heaps better with leaves.
A nice area to pull over and do a cache though.
The ducks were impressed too!
BB replaced the full logsheet.
Thanks, Robmc.

#21194. Day 5 of our escape into NSW. Another day touring around the area. This time a trip from Barellan to Griffith and back again. Started the day with a DNF and almost ended the day the same way but went on to find one more cache. Managed to find 13 and have 2 DNFs.
I do love the sight of full channels throughout the landscape. We had decided not to stay in a caravan park in Griffth (2 nights at the Barellan Showgrounds for us and it was perfect with excellent new amenities). However we had seen no camping signs here so were surprised to read on your page that it is a popular overnight stop for travellers.
The log sheet was full so has been replaced today.
Thanks jameskomodo

Together with my son, I am on a camping trip from Sydney to Broken Hill and back. On our 3000 km journey over 11 days we have seen some wonderful little towns, beautiful landscapes and many interesting geocaches.
Driving from Narrendera to Griffith for a bit of sightseeing and of course a few geocaches. Quite a few muggles in this park, but no one paid much attention to me while finding the geocache.

Found this one while on a day trip to Griffith. It's the most micro of micro-caches that I have found so far. A bit of shame that the wet weather chased me back to the car because it is a very lovely park along the old canal that used to supply the irrigation farms that were here before subdivision of the land. It adjoins to other similar sized parks to create an extended parkland space with walking trails, exercize equipment, bbq picnic areas, toilet amenities3
and seating in the well maintained gardens.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to jameskomodo for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

A quick park and grab after a quick stop overnight. My first find in this LGA! TNLN TFTC
Out caching with mrwhiskers today, we’ve been to this reserve? A few times playing Pokémon go, but never thought to see if there was a cache here. Upon walking to gz we thought of some possible hiding spots given the size of the cache. We made a quick find and stealthily grabbed it and singed at a nearby bench. We replaced as found and are off to the next !
I have been to this reserve many times before but never thought to check the caching map and see if there was a cache here.
A quick find on a beautiful day, log signed and cache replaced back stealthily.
Thanks for the cache!

#16767 - 1:10:00 PM; After a couple of nights in Mildura on the way home from South Australia after collecting the geomobile with Sol de lune, today we head for home. Collected a few caches along the way, adding a county or two as we went. A damp log here and there was no surprise, gven recent weather events, which also see the Sturt Highway closed at Gillenbah. Luckily we had planned to detour via Griffith and Leeton, so the road closure didn't present a problem. The mozzies though were a different proposition and made things a bit unpleasant at times! All caches found in good order, unless otherwise indicated, and replaced as found after we added our names to the log. TFTC jameskomodo
Heading home after picking up a car in Adelaide with LuckyL10n and took a detour through Griffith and Leeton to cross off another county or two. Apart from the mossies, there were no real issues grabbing any of caches and once in hand the log was soon signed.
Thanks jameskomodo and beccentric for this one. Cache all good.

In town for a few days to explore the area and enjoy the Orange Festival. Stopped off here to check out the camping, which was little wet. Decided to make this find, while there where no muggles about. Moved a little further along and had a peaceful night.
Thanks jameskomodo and the_beccentric for placing this hide for us to find.
