Found it after a bit of searching! It is ground level, and the clue doesnt make a lot of sense but the coordinates are correct
Found relatively quickly and enjoyed the walk. The hint was certainly helpful in finding my //bearings// Hoping to check more out from this series this weekend! TFTC
Took after a bit of searching. Still unsure of hint. Anyways got there in the end. Tftc
Hard to find. Hint makes sense once found.
Found lots of Wood Ear mushrooms near by.

Quick and easy find heading back to accommodation for the night to get drunk and have fun. TFTC
From the west to east, will assist the clue. Low down, and not too difficult to find. TFTC
Found it after a bit of a search. Yes it really does depend on which way you are coming from.
A not so quick find, grab, sign and flee.

#13,106. An interesting short walk in Lake Tarawera, Rotorua. Fortunately, GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Found after a bit of searching around. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Thanks for the placement, and for bringing us to this site, and …

Found by one of four sets of eagle eyes after a brief search. I’m not sure if the hint was a help, perhaps it depends on which way you approach the GZ. TFTC.

This one was a case of "hat does the hint mean?" Nevermind, here it is...
Still not sure but it doesn't matter, the find is in the bank!

#11,023. I have been in Rotorua for a couple of days but need to head back home to Wellington today. But I had a small mission to complete in the city before I head south. I carried on to Lake Tarawera and parked near the boatsheds. Found the path to GZ. There were some kids nearby learning to canoe but it was all quiet by GZ. I glanced in and spied the cache in the first place checked. Always a relief when that happens. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache where found. Thanks Dillnutz for hiding it here.
253. Was out here today. Didn’t attempt the other one here but tried this one. Took a while to find but eventually found. Replaced log book and plastic bag. TFTC
At Lake Tarawera for the day. Went off with little sister to pick up one or two caches. This one was a reasonably quick find but the log sheet was very wet. Barely managed to sign it! #4419. TFTC.
Over at Lake Tarawera for the day with family, and managed to take off briefly with my brother to pick up a few caches. Found this one but the log is damp - no paper with us to replace unfortunately. It might be a good idea if the next cacher can replace this paper as it appears that the CO is no longer active. TFTC
Visiting Rotorua (from Wellington) for a few days and grabbing a few caches while I'm here. This was one of them.
No problem finding the cache at the exact coordinates, but not sure what the hint meant as there was nothing relevant nearby.
PS: It looks like there are still eight (out of fourteen) of the caches in this series still alive (I did not have the archived ones loaded so wasn't able to search for them, but given the small size and sometimes tough hides there might be more out there still). I successfully found all eight. Many of the log papers are damp to mush. I replaced with scraps of paper where needed, but what they really need is a small piece of waterproof log paper. A fun series.

Weekend in Rotorua.
A litte road trip.
Sunday is focused to discover this beautiful area a little bit by picking up some hides.
Hint useless for me but GPS bang on.
Logbook is damaged.

Since the easter bunny hasn't visited yet, a bit of caching was in order. A walk along the waterfront soon had the cache on hand with children practicing their egg finding skills. TFTC Log book was too wet to sign
Not sure about clue-think we just lucked this one-could have been anywhere as gps was all over the place-tftc
This was my last full day in Rotorua after caching with friends yesterday. I concentrated on a few that required some hiking which was out of the question with one of the friends.
Will I sound like a broken record if I say the log is wet? TFTC.

Gz coord were spot on. Easy find.
The container doesn't seal, and the logbook is a soggy, slimy mess
Needs to be completely replaced in our opinion.
Thanks for the encouragement to visit this spot though.

Visiting family at Lake Tarawera for Queen’s Birthday weekend. Found this after a walk around Kariri Point. TFTC
Did not understand the hint for this one? and for some reason the GPS was putting me up to high. Read a few logs, had a think about the cache page.
Walked around checking a few possible hides, and eventually there it was. Log signed, happy to turn this one into a smiley. Thanks Dillnutz for the hide and for bringing me over here

TFTC. Coordinates are spot on here! Cache paper very wet. Just able to write on.
Spending the day on the lake and had a brief minute to spare. Looked for the closest child friendly cache and this one fitted the bill nicely. Educated the kids I was with about geocaching and they soon made the find. Thanks for the hide.
This one took ages to locate as i couldn't make sense of the hint. Then logic kicked in and i thought i had and the cache wasn't where i thought it would be. So then i spent a bit of time working my way from tree to tree and finally the cache was located. Glad to tick this one off. TFTC!
Time for another visit to Rotorua before Christmas. Decided to do the Tarawera trail as it is a beautiful day and a beautiful place to visit Cache all good but coords took me to another hint item at first TFTC . Lucky find and no idea what the hint means
Nice walk to the spot or gz. Took a few minutes to figure out the clue. Found and signed. Very nice indeed. Beautiful day as well to be doing geocaching
This new run of caches was published while we were out of town and we have been rather busy since then. Today we decided to take a day off from chores and see if we could complete them all. Mr S saw the hint straight away, haha, Mrs S would not have. Did not know this little track was here even though we have been here many times.
Thanks for another smilie Dillnutz.

A beautiful little walkway. Almost needs another cache at the end. A quick find in good condition. TFTC.
Some keen fishermen here getting set to head out now the rain has cleared. Got a few odd looks but followed gps and soon out of sight. GPS on phone a bit confusing due to several tracks but after no joy down on the lower level and a bit of head scratching at GZ looked in the only other possible place at GZ and there it was. Gee these tiny ones are tough out in the big wide world. Now I am well overdue for lunch so had to head for home. Will be back to complete this trail another day. TFTC
A new string of Geocaches spurred this visit so it's time for a tiki-tour. I contacted my mid week caching partner Mc Jandals and proposed a nice little clean up of the area. We had quite the adventure caching from dawn and finding some really beautiful spots. I managed to walk away with 28 caches and my highlights were the views out towards Mt Tarawera and of course... the company
I didn't get and hint straight away and the coords were a little jumpy - but thanks to McJandals the cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to a straight forward placement. Cheers Dillnutz, TFTC

On a trip with Philip after seeing these new caches out. A spur of the moment plan was hatched and here we are. II am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us back here. Cheers
I'd seen these caches pop up on my email... and almost as soon I saw that they'd been found... so I decided to wait until today. At first the hint made no sense to me at all... and then I took a breath.. looked around and went.. aha! Sure enough... there was the cache. Very clever hint! TFTC
{FTF}... With Davidson clan...
We were contemplating what to do with ourselves when our messenger sprung to life... A new trail of caches at Tarawera got our attention. Let’s see what this is about. Met (Mr) Davidson clan at Tahi and progressed from there.
It was hard to know what was public and private property down here. The appearance of two little girls had us perplexed... We had a brief discussion about the hint - clever! Thanks Dillnutz and TFTC.
