Logs
Took a little while to locate this one. Thanks for the well placed tiki tour. Enjoyed the peace just out of Rotorua.
Found it after a little search. The reading of previous logs helped with this one. Tftc
Found it. Very water logged, needs a container with a better seal. Have added another piece of paper into the cache.
Found with a couple of muggle friends, always hard to explain what this sport is so it’s best to give a practical demonstration.
I think I was successful as a new geocaching account has been made

A fantastic view of Mt Tarawera. A nice quick easy find, grab, sign and flee.

Staying on a friends driveway in our Motorhome, so grabbed this one as it was at the bottom of the property. TFTC.
Visiting Rotorua (from Wellington) for a few days and grabbing a few caches while I'm here. This was one of them.
Having done most of this series along the way to here I had a good idea what I was looking for, and found in the second tree I checked. TFTC
PS: It looks like there are still eight (out of fourteen) of the caches in this series still alive (I did not have the archived ones loaded so wasn't able to search for them, but given the small size and sometimes tough hides there might be more out there still). I successfully found all eight. Many of the log papers are damp to mush. I replaced with scraps of paper where needed, but what they really need is a small piece of waterproof log paper. A fun series.

Water damaged log. Found about 10m from the pinpoint. Look for the out of place rock.
This was my last full day in Rotorua after caching with friends yesterday. I concentrated on a few that required some hiking which was out of the question with one of the friends.
Once you know the size, it narrows down the possible hiding spots.. TFTC.

Looks like I have come to the end of the road
Not sure how many finds, DNF (of which there was a couple) or did not look in the series today.
I have replaced the log with some waterproof paper. As to the cache, checked in a couple of places until I found the right one. I think the rock was a bit of a hint.
Thanks again for the hides Dillnutz

It’s a tiny container about the size of a thumb nail, water had go in so couldn’t sign paper but still a lot of fun
Wind blowing straight in here today. Cache is very wet but we managed to write on it. TFTC
Have decided to start from the end of the road and work my way back, getting as many geocaches as I can before it's time to head home. Quick find at geozone. Quiet here today. Lots of birdsong. Tftc
Quick find on this beautiful day. Thnks for bringing me here again lol. Always love mt tarawera
Time for another visit to Rotorua before Christmas. Decided to do the Tarawera trail as it is a beautiful day and a beautiful place to visit Cache all good but coords took me to another hint item at first TFTC
This new run of caches was published while we were out of town and we have been rather busy since then. Today we decided to take a day off from chores and see if we could complete them all. Another one hat Mrs S found once we got the right fork. Very serene on the lack today and all quiet at GZ.
Thanks Dillnutz.
Thanks Dillnutz.
Great view! This is the second time I've been out here without a kayak so the island cache will have to wait for another day. Checked all the forkin' trees then discovered it about 5cm from my nose. TFTC.
A new string of Geocaches spurred this visit so it's time for a tiki-tour. I contacted my mid week caching partner Mc Jandals and proposed a nice little clean up of the area. We had quite the adventure caching from dawn and finding some really beautiful spots. I managed to walk away with 28 caches and my highlights were the views out towards Mt Tarawera and of course... the company
First time I've been here and it's a pretty cool spot. Cache found quickly and in good condition thanks to a good hint and logical placement. The coords were a little jumpy for us. Cheers Dillnutz, TFTC

**Early 2015 a group of Tauranga based geocachers started a [BOP Geocaching Facebook Page](https://www.facebook.com/groups/GeocachingBOP/). 197 cachers currently make up this [Closed](https://www.facebook.com/help/220336891328465#What-are-the-privacy-options-for-groups) group where we organise various geocaching events and excursions as well as share information and friendly banter. On a trip with Philip after seeing these new caches out. A spur of the moment plan was hatched and here we are. II am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us back here. Cheers
I'd seen these caches pop up on my email... and almost as soon I saw that they'd been found... so I decided to wait until today. This one took me a little while... partly because the GPS was jumping all around... and partly because I was distracted by the fabulous view. What a great spot! TFTC
{FTF}... With Davidson clan...
We were contemplating what to do with ourselves when our messenger sprung to life... A new trail of caches at Tarawera got our attention. Let’s see what this is about. Met (Mr) Davidson clan at Tahi and progressed from there.
It took some time for our iPhones to settle, and we searched a few objects before making a find... This completes a run of 11 FTFs, with the prospect of three more caches to come. In the course of our travels, we met the CO - Thanks for your placements and assistance today. Thanks Dillnutz and TFTC.
