Suscoe headed out for a day wandering along the coast from Robe down to Beachport. We found caches close to the ocean and some inland. The ocean looked great today and the beaches were splendid. We lost count of the birds we saw today which included birds of prey, parrots, cockatoos, pigeons and finches. We found a terrific variety of caches and enjoyed our day out. Thanks to GeocachingSa for this hide.
We are heading from Portland to Adelaide and of course we are stopping to grab a few caches along the way.Normally whenever we travel this road we have time constraints so today we made sure we left a bit earlier so that we could try our luck at some of these that we normally drive passed. We spotted this one coming up and were quite confident that there wouldn't be any muggles around and sure enough when we got to gz our suspicions were correct. We followed the GPSr to gz where we searched the wrong location for a little while and then spotted something slightly out of character and happily we soon had the log in hand and after adding our name we returned everything as it was,Many thanks for the cache.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Robe for a few days to grab some find. Drizzly winters day as we range from Robe to outlying areas. Thanks for the hide. LNCU??
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are now based in Robe, exploring the wild coastline and beautiful countryside. TFTC. ?? LNCU
Found with CPwanderer on day 1 of our journey south. Quick find of a rather well worn container and log book. TFTC GeocachingSA
Quick find with Gizmos Gang as we headed wayyyyy down South!!! Thanks for the adventure!! Poor old container is showing its age.
Found with Paddle Chick and Nanzie on our road trip to Adelaide for the mega. On our way to Kingston for the night. As I have a one way ticket I might come back this way.
Found with PCNBT on our way to Adelaide caching all the way to the Mega to catch up with everyone for a great few . This was a nice easy find thanks GeoVenture2020
Bullertrout, Nanzie and i are caching our way to Adelaide for the mega. Picking up what we can in the time available. All logs are being signed as BT, N, PC or some variation of that. Thanks GeoVenture2020#15270
Owl was on a trip to Mount Gambier with Ostrich and Magpie and planned some strategically organised driver caching breaks. This was one of them. The cache was a quick find but the container is lidless and needs some TLC.
Continuing my South Australian adventure, I came to this cache. A quick find was made and the log signed. With everything returned as found, I continued on my way. TFTC
Plenty of wattle around. Even some damp stuff!!

Amazingly, the temperature was half that of yesterday - 21C today , enabling us to look for a few extra caches that we wouldn't have bothered with the day before: so much long grass down here, most more than a metre high and right up to the bitumen .However, the council has looked after itself here, the grass nicely cut to display their sign [^].TNLNSL.Thanks again GeoVenture2020.
Kingston to Millicent. Just a couple of caches that we chose to do while towing the caravan.
Know set up at the Lakeside Caravan Park, what an amazing location.
Today we did a couple of AL around town plus a few caches.
This gave us an good idea how the town was set out.
We found some great caches & an ALat interesting locations during the day.
Thanks for placing your cache.

Found with Team Waldron during a trip to the south-east for a few days. On Day 1 we travelled via Meningie, the Coorong and Kingston SE to Millicent and Tantanoola. On Day 2, we toured around Glencoe and completed the STCL series, Colour by Song series, and the AooA series (and found any other caches along the way). On Day 3 we cached around Tarpeena then to Mt Gambier to do the Adventure Lab caches and down to Port MacDonnell. On the final day we completed the Honan Mint Trail and found the southern half of the Awaken and Live series before time got the better of us and we headed for home. Thanks for the cache GeoVenture2020!
as we have a look around the area While attending the Mega at millicent this was one of the caches we found with friends
A good day was had while grabbing these caches

Apologies for the generic log.
Uni and Medusa, Southern Cross Caching, and I ... shonkylogic spent the October Long Weekend in 2021 attending the Easter 2020 Mega Event at Millicent.
Along the way we stopped to find as many caches as we could - because we somehow convinced our better halves not to accompany us. Or perhaps it was because they really don't like caching as much as us.
We came well equipeed in the Pahero, with not one, not two but THREE TOTTs to help us. Even that wasn't sufficient for all the hides, sometimes you just don't have the right tool for the job.
We enjoyed meeting up with old friends, in these days of Covid is really is very special to be able to hold an event like this.
Thanks GeoVenture2020 for placing and maintaining the cache

Found at 16:33 during a fantastic extended weekend away with Shonkylogic and Southern Cross Caching. We had grand plans to complete swathes of powertrails and solved puzzles, but the weather slowed us down a bit. Even so, it was a lot of fun, and we passed my goal - to get my 9000th find
Friday, day 1, had us driving and caching from morning in Adelaide until the 6pm event in Millicent.
Day 2 focussed on the fishing series, wine bottle, and numerous other caches in that vicinity.
Day 3 was our slowest, due to the worse weather, but still a lot of fun.
Day four, after doing SFE series and nearby caches, plus those we passed, I arrived home at about 8pm, after finding my 9000th cache along the way.
Great to catch up with many of the usual faces, some others we hadn't seen for a long time, and a few new faces too.
Thanks for the hides

On our way down to the Mega event at Millicent with Mattycat and Sebastbat we stopped from time to time to find a cache or two and to stretch our legs, this was one of them. To arrive in time for the evening event we started to stop at a random cache every 20 km to not only stretch but to ensure we didnt get sidetracked on the amount of caches in the area, a quick find on this one for us today

All the Geocaches are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck!
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about especially away from the city crowds,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Today we were travelling from Millicent to Adelaide, stopping occasionally along the way for some caches - this was one of them. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks GeoVenture2020 for the cache.
Sir_spectre and I wanted one more trip down to the south east before the Mega arrived and this was a great opportunity to find some geocaching artwork as well as get some of the higher terrain that have been published. An event was a bonus we were not expecting to get to but the caching gods allowed us to get there.
Thanks
Thanks
Back down to Mount Gambier with Mogni. She wanted to do mainteneance on some of her caches. We took the inland road down there and stopped at every cache i hadn't found and cleaned up some of the newly published caches for her. We even got a unexpected joint ftf on the way.
Day 172 (Tuesday 18th) of our trip. Caching along the way. Left Millicent today. A total of 5 for the day and 3006 for the trip. TFTC
After the longer than needed search at the last cache and a dnf, this was spotted while still driving up to it. That was one tough magnet... but got it!
Found on the way home from a blistering stay in Adelaide. Spotted cache on the way to Adelaide Wednesday but it was too damn hot to leave the air conditioned vehicle. Only 28 degrees showing on the dash for outside temp today and we stopped, it was a lot nicer than 44 degrees. The previous log that mentioned the strength of the magnet was spot on, it is a beauty.
Mr Tardis loves a cache hide that you can see before you get out of the car.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache GeoVenture2020.

We've come down to the South East to collect the hound who has been on an extended vacation at the farm whilst we went on an overseas trip, attended the St Arnaud Mega and then 5 days in Tassie.
He is happy to have us back but suspicious that we are going to desert him again (which of course eventually we always do).
So we decided to make a weekend of the pick up and went to the SIL shack at Robe. The weekend was filled with eating and drinking with friends and a small trip to Millicent to collect the new SFE series. The plan had been to do more but of course chatting and coffee got in the way of that!
It was a lovely break away and we are already looking forward to our next trip to the South East, especially with so many new caches and series to be found.
This was our first find of the day, quick retrieval, clearly the manual labour I have done this week has improved my strength!

Why the Wattle ??
Just ask any Bruce
"This here's the wattle,
the emblem of our land.
You can stick it in a bottle,
you can hold it in your hand"
I guess the local council just wants us all to get in touch with our inner Monty Python
'Stralia, 'Stralia, 'Stralia ... we love you

Today was my final day around Mount Gambier and then on to driving back home to Adelaide. Following a couple of cave dives at the Pines, I still had half a day to head back, and so stopped off at quite a few geocaches that I had on my target list along the Coorong road. I managed to stop off to complete the other half of the Millicent SFE series, some more caches around Millicent, and then a few oldie geocaches at various stops within the Coorong and Policeman's Point.
A quick stop at this new geocache that had popped along this road. How much magnet did this geocache use?!?! Some serious super powers here!
Otherwise, the cache container and logbook were in good shape, as one would expect being such a newly published 10/2019 geocache. Thanks GeoVenture2020 committee for the cache placement and maintenance.

Found at 1415 hours on the 9th October 2019
Travelling to this spot took way longer than it should have, they commenced road works and the stop/go guys are directing traffic through here and the speed limit is 40 kilometres per hour for way longer than it needs to be. Arriving at GZ we had a bit of an audience, there was a log truck waiting to be allowed to go through, so we pretended to take a photo of the hint, he probably wondered why we would bother haha.
Found the cache in the second spot we looked and had it signed lickety split.
Thanks GeoVenture2020 for placing the cache. TNLNSL
