Continual pruning keeps putting this cache at risk. We will archive this one now and find another home for V2.
Glad to say we found this cache to add to our D/T grid. Sad to say it was the victim of some savage pruning and was sitting on the ground and that this looks like it will be the last log it receives.
We packed the ladder for just this one cache on our travels today. Ha.
What a great idea for a placement. Logged with permission.
Well done.

Found and signed with dalerious on another awesome weekend away, and Ballarat sure put on some perfect weather. Yes, you heard me right, and that wasn't a typo .
Who doesn't like to ride a big pipe full of poop earli in the mornin. What better excuse to get the tott out of the car . I can tell you that by the time we saw the log, then finished signing the log, we had limited feeling in our behinds. I am having trouble getting my story to flow so I think it is time to say, Howdy Ho!, and kiss Mr Hankey goodnight .
Thanks The_Tritonz for something different to do with a tott that we love so much .

Found with catnap777 first thing after coffee.
Cat' and I had a full weekend planned in and around Ballarat with a long list of solved puzzles to find, 4 events to attend, a handfull of large caches (they are as rare as hen's teeth around our part of the world), and one of us still had 15 caches in a Geotour to tidy up.
.....and there was this one recommended by a previous visitor.
When cat' and I first caught wind of this cache, we were both keen to get a whif of it.
Cat' loves to climb and I knew it would be a lot of fun with a fair idea what would be meeting us at the top. [:o)]
Well.... I guessed the shape right.
TFTC The_Tritonz.
Fav for the fun. [^]
Side story...
On the way to Ballarat, without even knowing of this hide, cat' and I were having a good chuckle at our absent dear friend's expense.
Our naive friend had just posted one of those online cards with best wishes for their son's birthday and guess what background image she had chosen.
Noone had the heart to tell her that it wasn't chocolate cake.

The fifth Ballarat GeoTour event and its preceding CITO were an incentive to spend some time in town, and maybe actually log some of the tour caches.
With the events over, I teamed up with locus cache and Rex the Wonder Dog for some searches.
This one piqued our curiosity.
I laughed when I spotted the cache by torchlight.
Then the fun began. Our ladder was long enough... just long enough to unscrew the cap one handed while the ladder was steadied by my partner in crime.
A highly entertaining cache, courtesy of The_Tritonz.
Next time, Rex the Wonder Dog can go up the ladder.

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting & detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC The_Tritonz

Some good friends had decided to head to Ballarat for a few weeks so I decided I needed a break and joined them, we had a great time out caching as well as sharing stories and laughs around a meal or two. I really love the area of Ballarat there is so much history and I am sure it has the largest population of Oak trees in the Country.
This is one of the caches found today. A nice hide this one, no trouble as we had a TOTT with us.
Some caches logged as RASP rebel acts &Ski pair.
Thanks The_Tritonz for the cache.

Out with the TOTT, and this one was soon in hand.
With work encouraging us to take some holidays and Mr SKI having quite a few weeks up his sleeve it was time to take another short break and do some sightseeing and caching in parts of Victoria we seldom visit.
This time we decided it would be Ballarat. There is a wide variety of cache types and quite a number of Adventure Labs to do, so the area is quite attractive. And that doesn't include the historical and interest aspects as well.
We organized to meet up with some friends while there so we would have the opportunity to do some joint as well as solo caching.
We have already had some great adventures on a few challenging caches that generated a lot of fun and as usual always good to find some pre-solved puzzles.
All logs signed as SKI Pair, RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair or SP depending on size of logs and availability of space.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache The_Tritonz.

Out with Shumba7 collecting a cache. Thanks for bringing us down here. Ladder was just long enough.
TFTC found with Alage on filling our calendar. I tried to grab it on the ladder but the ladder was too short or I was too short, one of the two but Algae managed to get it at a streeeeeetch on the ladder and soon the log was signed.
This would probably be a T5 back in Canberra! So when I saw a T3.5 I thought I would be able to get to it without a ladder as that is usually the rule of thumb!
Once I got to GZ I looked around a bit before spotted the cache, in a fairly hard to access spot! Tried to get a grip to lift myself up but scraped myself instead.
Then had another plan which involved the car and this worked an absolute dream! I soon was signing the log, which I originally thought I was going to have to give up on!
Thanks for the challenge, that was a fun cache, so have a FP

Enjoying a nice walk with AlexiKatty and bang she challenge me to high cache, no worries I said, till we got closer. Well I have to do it now, no ladder so only option was climb at the end amd walk my way down, I tell you what, it's definitely alot higher once your up there. So I made my way to cache signed log book for us and oh no dropped the lid, lucky alexikatty was there to throw up to me until I caught it. Cache is back together safe and sound. Time for a breather I think.

There has been some tree trimming done at GZ so we will disable this one until we can check on it and replace if need be.
Our last day in Ballarat after completing the GeoTour. We arrived at GZ and after looked at a couple of possible locations without sighting anything. Then I spotted the container and ...
Fortunately we had an appropriate TOTT with us but it was at the bottom of a boot full of luggage. Oh well ... But we where able to reach the cache and sign the log. Thanks to The_Tritonz for for the cache.

Day three of the Geo Tour adventure with OHC, GT37, Papi4506. Off to explore more of Ballarat and surrounds.
When I spotted this cache on the map I had to visit it. It’s my most used emoji . I didn’t realize at the time that it was a clever hide also. Fortunately we had the right gear and spotted the cache early. We took the opportunity to have lunch while we waited for a muggle in a car at GZ to leave. A definite favourite!

We looked and we saw, then we wondered if we would be able to reach it with our TOTT as ours is the early model. With a little bit of manipulation we were soon onto it and then hubby dropped the log sheet. Once I got it back up to him the job was finished and we were on our way. SL Thanks for the fun.
Well I found it, but there was about 4 meters between me and the log sheet. I guess that's what happens when you don't bother reading the description before heading out.
I might come back more prepared at some other time.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Took a few moments to spot it, then it was in our face and we knew what we had to do.
Mr Riddell went up the elevation device while Mrs Riddell prepared some afternoon tea... how civilised was that.
However, we were expecting something brown...

Always wanted to walk up along this pipe, never knew a geocache would bring me to it, tftc!
This one was certainly interesting and quite difficult, lucky I have a car. Thanks so much! Found
Out and about in Ballarat after a CITO this morning down in Buninyong area. Suspecting what the cache construction would be, we were absolutely correct. We weren't carrying a TOTT in the Geo-Truck so the latter had to step up to the task. On tippy toes, on the roof, Chook was only just able to reach the container. Luckily the little dent in the roof easily sprung out when pushed from inside LOL. Lots of fun, both with the container and the method of retrieval. No wonder we find it difficult to explain geocaching to our work colleagues when we have stories like this to tell. TFTC The_Tritonz, and a favourite point coming your way for all the fun it gave.
The first cache of a new day. Fortunately I had the necessary item in the car and I was soon signing the log.

*Cache find # 10874.*
Today I headed to Ballarat and surrounding area with biggles1024 in search of COTY nominated cache as well as some members of the first Victorian 500, we also picked up a few others along the way.
When I first read the cache name I didn't really think about it but after looking at it a few times, I thought about it a bit more and then realised what we would be looking for at GZ.
We arrived at GZ and looked around, this tree, then that tree but then the hint made sense and Mark spotted it, exactly what I was expecting.
The TOTT came out and we were soon signing the log.
**Thanks to The_Tritonz for placing this cache.**

Find #4427
Traditional Find #2765**
I headed out today with SteMicMitSar to Ballarat to attend an event and also some of the caches that have been nominated for the COTY Awards and also some particularly old caches. Our GPS's didn't quite agree which tree was home to the cache, but in the end, it didn't matter. I spotted the novelty container from the ground and Steve utilised a TOTT to retrieve the log for signing. The CO is obviously having fun with his new 'toy'.

Whilst chatting at the nearby CITO, we heard a small group was heading out to find this cache. Having the correct TOTT on board, we tagged along but as it turned out, we didn't need to use ours. Instead, a different method was used to retrieve the cache (exactly what we would have done, lol) for which Spiffy and the CO's need to be thanked. This is a great cache hidden in an unusual position. I would love to see how others that don't have the needed TOTT get their names in this one. Thanks for another great cache.
Found with Becca85 & Neisha07 as well as a group of other cachers after the CITO. Great fun, thanks.

Standing around chatting with the CO amongst others and heard there was a little detour to this one on the way to the next event. Couldn't pass up the opportunity. The cache was obtained exactly how we would have done it but thanks to Spiffy for performing the necessary task. Great cache that certainly would have had us going had we not been there with a group. Thank you for placing it for us to find.
As we were getting ready to leave the nearby event we caught up wit 6Hinemoa2 and she asked if we wanted to join here here for the find. Even though I was on a time frame to get home I had a few minutes to spare so how could we not give it a go.
At GZ we quickly spotted the hide and even though Neville Thought he could make it we elected to go with the much safer option of 6Hinemoa2's TOTT.
With the log book sign we we quickly on our way with just enough time to spare.
Thank you The_Tritonz for another great cache

With another leap day upon us we had done lots of different caches types and sizes last leap day so this year I decided to attend lots of events and to also help me build up my CITO count. A lot of driving today but the weather was great and managed to get to all 7 events in the day that I planned to.
After the CITO we heard of a quick diversion before the next event and I arrived to find that I was the one that had to do the hard work of climbing up and retrieving the cache. Oh well, at least I did something energetic for a change.
That poo must have been there for a while to turn green.
Thanks The_Tritonz for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Spiffy- had many plans for leap day and attending as many events as possible was the key plan. His dedication saw him attend 7 events in 1 day.
At an event not far away a group were coming to this cache so we tagged along. Nice spot for a hide! Thanks for the help up!

Well, I was so lucky today. As I was leaving the nearby event I caught up with Neville devil and the Sims family who took some of their precious time out of the day to help me out here. I had some e equipment that helped but of course Neville had already worked out a way up there.
He took the safer option and all was good.
Special thanks to my helpers and to The_Tritonz for that interesting cache.

30 Days, hath September, April, June & November, all the rest have 31, except February alone, which has 28 days clear & 29 in each Leap Year!
A rhyme we learnt way back in Primary school, has taken on a whole new dimension since we began Geocaching!
We were very fortunate to have the human LAD (der) at GZ when we were there.

A early start to meet up with the ever helpful Bushfire as we set off via Inverleigh and Rokewood to check on a couple of caches before catching up with a goodly crowd at Maccas to fortify the inner man before heading to the best organised and attended CITO After this start it was off to find more caches in the Ballarat and Creswick area Here I watched in admiration as McLookers climbed ever higher to a clever looking container I could only spy. Thanks and TFTC TheTritonz
Suscoe's last find of the day just after midday.
We got a head up from the Red Ant that a visit to Poomoji was arranged and so we moved pretty quickly from one side of Ballarat to GZ.
Thanks to the McLookers for assisting with this find, much appreciated.
The Red Ant and au.fait were smiling too.
Thanks to The_Tritonz for this hide.

Saturday has arrived and so has the rain overnight so everything is soggy but we really needed it, but with a very full day planned in Ballarat and Creswick, au.fait and the ageing Bushfire set off early to check out a few of Bushfires caches that are in Inverleigh and then continued our journey inland to Rokewood and then up to Ballarat.
Meeting up with many likeminded folk at Maccas for a breakfast of Bacon and Eggs and a good coffee. Then a caching chat before heading off to Bunnings for one of the best organised CITO’s that I have had the pleasure of being a part of.
I believe we made 53 boxes for small animals to shelter in after their habitat has been burnt and left them little room to hide from their predators. Good on you Bunnings and also all the caching helpers who used the timber, cut to size, nails, glue, paint, aprons, and even ear plugs as the noise from many hammers all nailing these boxes together was rather deafening. Big thanks to Tania and all the Bunnings staff for a terrific job well done.
OK time to find a few more caches while up in Ballarat and this guy was next on the list but after checking it out on my last visit I decided against trying to sign the log that day.
My dear friend Tania indicated that she would help the ageing bushfire on his next visit to Ballarat and that happened today so we all headed out to this Pooy cache with his large eyes watching all that happens below but was no match for our saviour who scaled up the wet trunk with little effort and he had to submit that he was beaten by a better visitor today.
Thanks to Tanya and to The_Tritonz for placing this quaint little guy for us to enjoy.
A F.P for idea.

A quick spin to this spot after the event followed by a climb where I found a very well constructed, well themed cache container that gave me a laugh. Thanks The Tritonz, found with Bushfire, au fait and Suscoe. A favourite from me.
Another fun weekend assault on Victorian caches with Trigger_Fish where many caches were found, many miles were covered in the geomobile and some miles were walked.
The obvious spots were checked without luck then Trigger_Fish spotted the treasure in an unexpected location.
Thanks for the cache The Tritonz.

Well that was quite fun! I’m trying to avoid lots of micros, however the tree climb keeps it engaging.
A new cache, I was looking at T3 and couldn’t find anything, knowing the CO is practically a monkey I decided to follow, I was up and the cache was right in front of me. I bit higher than what I thought but it’s all good.
Today was all about just caching around Ballarat and collecting a lot of the new caches that had been placed in the last few months. Despite the heaviness of the rain early to the middle of the day 40 finds were made and the 11,000th find was ticked off.
Thanks for the cache

Found it with HP on a caching adventure, learning how to find geocaches, all sorts and the mention of poo came up for the rest of the arvo lol
Caching in the area we picked up a few caches in the area and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Well, I dropped by here at 2:30 pm just to check it out and as I suspected, this T3 is way out of reach for me. Looks like another Ballarat cache I'll have to pass on. Hats off to those who have firmer footing and more courage than me - you have my full admiration!
Had a free day to go caching while Tag along was working. Well I found it but as my name is not in the log I cant claim a find. It will have to tease me until I get up the nerve to tackle it.
Thanks for the temptation - but No go The Tritonz

An easy little climb. I was a tad concerned as I was wearing my work flatties but the branches were really grippy so I made short work of it in drizzly conditions. Another good hide. Thanks tritonz.
Found this with McAdies and Jelly_bean14 after school.
We had just left school when there were some new caches published. We drove straight here and after some looking in trees saw the funny cache container!
Dad climbed the tree to get the cache. Gee that was high!

Found with Dad and Eddie.
This one was really high and I thought it was a frog from the ground!
Thanks for the fun hide here.

FTF after school pickup.
Wandered around a bit before Mrs Perpetually lost turned up and we realised the terrain was WAY higher than expected.
Cache located soon after.
Thanks for the hide glad it was a nice dry day!

Mrs Perpetuallylost was on her way home from work when the notification for this one came through and was so excited to see a cache so close to home and a chance for her first solo FTF she headed straight to it without realising the D/T rating. When she arrived McAdies team were already on site looking for it and fortunately for her Ben was agile enough to retrieve the cache and graciously shared FTF honours with her.
Thx to The Tritonz for placing this one, now I'm intrigued as to its placement so I'll have to head down there for a look myself! A FP for a FTF!
