Lovely afternoon out Caching with The Geocache Goonies, after a belated birthday luncheon for Carrots (Peas&CarrotsForever).

Teaming with _staas, Marlee126 and Sandelf, and found by yours truly. Clyde sure knows how to swallow a nano!

With the support of Jolly0 and Peas&CarrotsForever sitting at the bench supporting us, as they have previously found this.

Definitely deserves a ️, however I've run out for today having found a lot of GC's today!

Great hide in an even greater piece of art

03-Oct-22
A big long weekend with the JAMS Crew (JJ52, allister w(me), mogni, Sir Spectre and tallbikestan). We road from Riverton to Stanley Flat on day 1. Then more riding near Spalding on day 2. Then finished the weekend with finding caches around the area in the car. TFTC

03-Oct-22
A return visit to Clare was planned for the long weekend with the JAMS crew plus tallbikestan to find a lot of the caches that we didn't get to on our last visit along with the Rattler, Riesling and NE trails as well as the Mid North Channel Country trail. [^]

We had three very full days with perfect weather for caching, lots of bike riding, lots of walking and lots of driving along dirt tracks. We were lucky it had not recently been wet as some of the roads we drove on would not have been passable if wet. Loved the scenery at this time of year with everything looking very green as well as the bright yellow of the canola crops. Big Grin

A fun weekend of caching, lots of caches found and lots of cool places visited. Cool

What a cool sculpture, it must have taken a very long time to complete. Luckily the cache was found quickly. Big Grin

Thanks for the cache JEM. Smile

03-Oct-22
The JAMS crew went on an October long weekend adventure back to Clare. We brought Tallbikestan along as we were targetting the bike tracks and he is the best rider amongst us. Allister W and sir_spectre we the other main riders, with JJ52 and I the support crew and walkers. A huge weekend of fun and adventure was had by all, until I made SS sick with my cold....oops.
Thanks to all those who have kept not just the bike tracks but all the other caches alive for us to find.
All caches signed as JAMS.
Thanks to **JEM** from mogni Smile

03-Oct-22
someone has some great talent to do that. mogni fouund the cache. " insert nano rant here "

The JAMS team ( JJ52,Allister w, Mogni, and sir_spectre minus mitchell&hound ) but Tallbikestan was with us instead and we where out for there usually monthly caching adventure. This time it was over the october long weekend instead of the usual day trip. The taget this time was Drop into the Light a long ladder cache on the way to clare and then to clear the Rattler trail, Riesling Trail, Ne Trail saturday on the bikes and then sunday do the Mid North Channel Country bike trail. Monday on the return home was to get Peter's view a 2001 cache. Of course there was many, many other's found on route to the various target for the weekend, somewhere around 260 found by the team. It could have been more but we were not going at a flat out pace, just steady and getting a blow out on the bike 1.6 km's from the end of the Mid North Channel Country bike trail didn't help. I didn't see any snakes this trip but allister did, he saw 5. The caches this trip where written in as JAMS, i forgot the stamps. Also 1 cache was placed by the JAMS team this trip. Out of all the bike tracks i preferred the Rattler /Riesling trail. I like riding through the very rich ( after all the recent rains ) fields of yellow flowers.

A nice quick find while visiting Kapunda. Thank you for the cache Jem.

22-Aug-22
Even though it was pouring with rain when we arrived here, I needed this last cache for the weekend, to complete one of the many challenges I’ve been working on so out came the brollies ️️️

Heading home from an amazing weekend in the Riverland, jumping borders and caching with Peas&CarrotsForever.

TFTC JEM
Keep smiling

Time to head for home but not without some serious geocaching on the way, with Jolly0.

Arrived at this cache with the rain pouring down, but Jolly0 needed this as the last one to complete a challenge she's been working on, so out with brollies and on with the search, cos that's what we do. Fortunately it was a fairly quick find and with that we called it quits for the day and headed home. TFTC JEM

21-Aug-22
What an interesting spot. Thanks for putting a cache here but..... we both thought oh no! then read the clue and prodded. Fingers found it and it dropped!! Luckily we had a geocaching light/gooseneck magnet. After more feeling with fingers located it and we were able to get it out and put it back. Phew!

09-Jul-22
While attending the 24 hour motorcycle trial around the Kapunda area, I snuck off late at night to take a walk around the quarry. Upon visiting Clyde, I found just some loose log sheets, which I signed. No container could be found so I have sent a message to the CO.
Thanks JEM, it was a pleasant walk.

Thanks Jem for the hide and the ongoing maintenance. I did not find this one quickly and tried both sides a couple times before coming up with the goods. Feel and find did the trick. Signed and returned as found. What a great statue, thanks for bringing me here. FP4U

Found by Mary and David at 14:15. A wonderful horse is Clyde. M found it fairly quickly. Let your fingers do the walking. Gets a FP. Our thanks to **JEM**.

26-Nov-21
An impressive piece of art and craftsmanship, but oh, so many hiding places. The generous hint reduced the search area, and eventually I touched something that moved. The cache was VERY carefully removed and replaced (see e.gregory1 log). Now to start on the loop….

Thanks **JEM**

06-Nov-21
Took as long as you would expect! Great piece of art and great hide! TFTC

I have Virtually Dropped a trackable for one of my International Geocaching Friends to Virtually Find.

30-Oct-21
Found on a day trip to Gawler and the northern Barossa with Bob From Elsewhere.

After the storms a couple of days ago, I expected to see some damage around the area, but it must have been a bit further south as everything looked pretty good.

This was a tricky little find and an even trickier replacement - unfortunately I dropped it when I was repositioning it! It then took another 15 minutes to eventually find it within the structure and extract it using a suitable tool. It was then (much more) carefully replaced where we initially found it
.
Thanks JEM for the cache.

30-Oct-21
It's Find 3266

Found on a day trip beyond Gawler with e.gregory1.

I am tetanus vaccinated so took a chance and found it and no blood was spilled.

Then my mate dropped it and the second retrieval was a little harder.

Thanks to **JEM** for the cache.

We were on the verge of quitting but then one of the kids found it. Nice cache! Thanks!

Out and about the picturesque Barossa Valley picking up a smilie or two along the way.
Clyde and I go way back so I was happy to visit him again for another smilie. I came up empty handed after about a 20 min search. I drafted, unhappily, a bluey and set off down the hill to the next gz.
On returning to the car I decided to ‘just give it 5 mine minutes’ and in less than that I had struck the fitting container.
Log signed and replaced as found.
TFTC **JEM** see you again Clyde x

Time for another Friday Frolic for some members of the Befuddled Puzzle Solving Group. We gathered at the Rat Nest and myself, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats headed out for a day of caching in and around Kapunda. Razz Except for one cache that is currently off line we managed to find all we looked for. Big Grin As usual there were a few laughs, a picnic lunch and these are the caches we found [B)]Cool

Searched for a long time. [:(!] Not in the first, second, umpteenth place I looked. Damn You [:(!][:(!] Then just as the cursing and tantrums started - there it was. Smile Time to have a break and have that picnic lunch.Razz

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. Twisted So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. Cool That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]

***Thanks **JEM** for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Big Grin

Over from Melbourne for a two week escape Victoria to SA holiday.

Staying in Adelaide this week, we were looking for a place to visit that we hadn't been to before.

Came across Kapunda while looking at Facebook this morning on a Camping site. Problem solved, off to Kapunda we went.

Wow what an interesting town. We will be back another time to check it out in more depth. This old copper mine is super interesting.

We love the old sandstone buildings SA has and this town has some great ones. The mining history is also very interesting.

What a great sculpture. I really liked how the mane is made out of heavy chain that you can actually lift and move around.

we were busy looking when I turned around only to see someone reading the sign and looking at us strangely.... so much for stealth, or rather she had stealth and had crept up on us. Given we were sprung we had to explain what we were doing. She seemed quite interested and mentioned she once owned a horse and lived in a nearby town.

While I was chatting with her, Mrs P made the find and we were able to show her a cache , the log etc.

The log is full but Mrs P managed to squeeze plowfive on to it somewhere but not in time order.

Thanks for the cache JEM. A tricky hide which we assumed we wouldn't find but actually did.

15-Apr-21
Day one of a camping trip testing out my new swag. I am slowly making my way up to the Flinders Ranges and taking my time exploring lots of little towns along the way.

I really enjoyed walking around this little trail, reading the info panels and grabbing the caches.

Even with the quite specific hint provided, it still took awhile to find it. Nice one. Favourite point from me.

Thanks for the cache JEM.

This is the second cache Aussie Mary has found here. Do love a 2 for one placement.
Carol and Mary needed to make this find, while 2 others had already found the new version. Met up with some cyclists here who were somewhat intrigued by our activity.
TFTC JEM. A favourite for Clyde
