Fantastic letterbo
A great day for a drive in the country.
Blue skies, and not a cloud to be seen.
Forecast says it will hot up a bit , so an early start for us.
Burn off then recent rain so lots of fresh green growth in the paddocks.

Muggle65 and I are after select caches today to help with a challenge. We are covering many miles and have bitten off more than we can chew. The scenery was beautiful and this is the first time I have been out here and everything is green. We really enjoyed our day out here. Thank you for the fun

Up early this morning & off to find the FTF unleashed by Team JLBL & like all those preceding us ?????? no luck finding this one!!! But we aren’t claiming an DNF, just accepting partial frustration.

?????? & I looked for what seemed forever unmolested by muggles at 8:30am in the morning.

So leaving that location we had more success down the road at the challenge caches ?????? and then off to Tiaro & onward to our main hunting ground in the Kilkivan area.

Starting our day before the sun came up, we finished it a couple of hours prior to the sun coming up the next day, Simply because a FTF opportunity came up just after we arrived home & had started to relax. So at Midnight we set off for a bicycle ride along the gateway to finally claim a FTF for the day?? or was that for tomorrow???
Don’t care!!! Going home to sleep ?? sleep ?? ?? ??.

Day out with Peppa and TMZ59 caching in and around Kilkivan to get our numbers up to maybe reach a milestone at the MEGA.

Took a bit to find but finally got there in the end. Log was mush so replaced with another and hope it lasts.

Found on 4 April 2022. TFTC, youngoldfella.

04-Apr-22
A friend mentioned making the Townsville Mega a milestone cache… I hadn’t even thought about it, but what’s a couple of hundred caches between friends…Hence the reason TMZ59, Patrol14 and I are hitting Kilkivan and surrounds…

Turns out this is our last find in the area before we head towards the Jolly Brolly Folly…

I spent awhile struggling through the chest high grass here without success… it wasn’t until Patrol14 fell out of the car and was with 5m of me that I finally spotted the cache…

The contents, again were soaked, so we added a new log in snap lock bag… tftc…

Found cache and signed log. Returned cache as found. Getting a few caches to try and get a milestone whilst in the Ville. out with patrol14 and Peppa. TFTC.

**Found Thursday 04-November-2021 at 13:20 Smiley #1552**

Drove from Beaudesert to Hervey Bay and back in a day for one of my daughters awards presentation for the second time in two weeks. 820 kilometers broken up by caching and meals. Really appreciate the CO's placing all these caches.

All the logs are in good condition unless specified otherwise, and they were all found with ease unless specified otherwise. Very wet unfortunately

Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache and thank you for breaking the drive up **youngoldfella** Big Grin

TFTC. We are attending the event at Kilkivan this weekend. Along with the new Caches placed for the event we spent the day finding some of the older caches on the area as we passed by. A great day out with 30 finds for the day.

With the weather clearing it's time to hit the frog & toad again.
We thought Maryborough might be nice for a change but we couldn't help detouring via the backroads north of Kilkivan which still have so many caches on offer. Smile
#8 of 55 smilies rounded up today. Big Grin

A quick find but unfortunately it's half full of water. Sad
Emptied & dried the container but no logs onboard & it would be pointless anyway as it's still raining & it would appear the container leaks.
Could do with some TLC. Sad
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Hi there youngoldfella.

We found your cache **"Brooweena Side trip"** today. (This makes our find count 25670).

Today's plan was to head north up along Booubyjan Road and then continue back on to Brooweena - Woolooga Road. Also today we cursed the Garmin Drive Smart, because it has a habit of not showing caches on its map. So we probably missed a couple today and picked up a few we blindly drove past the other day.[:(!]

It was a really nice drive today, made even better by not having to wade through long grass to find the caches. Our tally today was 34 caches & 0 DNF's.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Either a smiley badge or a gold coin

Thank you for adding to our adventure.

Regards

Ian & Penny

Out on a mission with Willis007 and Chamad. I thought the morning adventures were fun, but this trip really added to it. So many laughs. So many issues (rarely with the caches - they were the easy parts!). A huge afternoon that turned into and even bigger night.

02-Jan-21
After a tumultuous morning of caching it was decided to go out with just three of us this time and cache some of the new caches and grab some older ones as we passed. So now it was just Willis007, 4hawkers and myself. I really thought we could not have any more laughs but the day just continued and I had a stitch from laughing so much.

The caches on this trip were varied, a variety of sizes and hides but all were in good condition. The countryside around here is amazing and just beautiful, thank you for bringing us around here.

Thank you to all the CO’s for placing caches around this area, I really enjoyed the drive around here and finding your caches. Sorry for the generic log but we found approximately 70 caches this afternoon.

This was a nice set of caches down this road.

Day 2 of the New Year event at Kilkivan. Having a wonderful time meeting new cachers as well as catching up with some old faces.
After gathering heaps of caches this morning, it was time to pack up at camp as I needed to head towards home.
TripleTurmoil and CHAMAD decided to join me on the journey up north to find some more new and older caches. We had a super fun afternoon racing around finding these caches, and very much appreciate the CO efforts with these.
This was a quick find, log signed, cache replaced as found.
Thanks YOF for the cache. Took TB.

Hervey Bay - Kilkevin
It was pouring with rain as we left Hevey Bay, as we moved from the coast the skys cleared & turned into a great day for caching.
Todays round trip was approximately 150ks, all in very quiet farming country side.
All had good co-ords which meant for easy finds.
Thanks for placing this amazing series youngoldfella

Heading north towards the home of 'Big Meats' today,
I kept playing leap frog with one of their delivery trucks along the way [:o]
A 'K' or two before GZ,
the truck caught up with me so I pulled over to let it by.

Approaching GZ the coast was clear,
and I slowed to a stop,
in the long, long grass that was near !!
No fear of a fire,
there's no red hot catalytic converter on my geomobile Big Grin

A wade through said grass,
wearing long pants of course,
and there was the cache Big Grin
First place I looked for once [^]

I found your cache with my Dad, Oddiewan and most of the time, Semik. I am way behind on logging so learned how to use templates so I can catch up. Sorry this is not a detailed log, but I will do better with my logging now that I have the ability to log caches on a mobile phone. Thanks for the cache youngoldfella

A very easy find

31-Dec-19
Geocaching with my main squeeze, Oddiewan, my best friend, Moneydork and Oddiewan's sons BitternA4 and occassionally Flash_Cat (he bowed out about halfway, but I didn't mark where we took him back to camp) Oddiewan was on a mission and achieved his 400th and 500th finds on this caching trip. I was happy just to see his excitement of reaching his next milestone.

Up in Killivan for the New Year event. My second one. Had lots of fun last year. And how much have I learned since then.

This year I will be caching with my Geoson as wtdwarrior, Grannysmith1947, and can’t forget The Geodog Miss Millie.

Sorry for the generic post.

Visiting Kilkivan for the annual Cache-up event. Sweet-Sour kindly offered to chauffeur me around for the day. Who was I to refuse? After finding a nearby cache, we took a pleasant stroll to this one. My caching buddy had previously found this cache, so I was left to search for this one on my own. The cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC

Attending the Kilkivan event finding mostly newer caches with a few older ones in between. It was an early start after a peaceful sleep in the swag and awaking to a rowdy chorus of birds.

---

Log for Brooweena Side trip signed at 07:47 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie and bringing us here **youngoldfella**. This log is trackable, mention where you saw it.
