This one has had its day and Christmas is coming.

26-May-23
Out for a day of Blenheim caching in an attempt to grab the latest souvenir.
A road I don’t travel often. I tried the press and pop routine but I think Santa has lost a bit of pizazz since Christmas.

26-May-23
A fun cache shame the contents were rather wet. Hope they dry out with a bit of sun. A Merry Christmas Happy Caching all year round. TFTC

03-May-23
Out and about in the Blenheim area grabbing a few more caches before my ferry from Picton this arvo . Been in the South Island for five months on a working holiday and it’s been blast . Homeward bound Northland.

02-May-23
I am out and about from Seddon mainly to locate a few of the Marlborough Rail caches and a few others that take my fancy or get in the way.

It is ALWAYS the season to be jolly.

Cheers for the cache, Isis58.

Nice container

10-Apr-23
awesome find

25-Jul-22
Just had to check out this one at the back of Grovetown. Cheers.

I have to get to Blenheim today so Zara and I are on the road early to snag some caches to get Signal through the Swamp Labrynth. This is my first venture out driving so will be an interesting day and with Zara having such a big bum makes cachinga challengs. By the end of the day I think I was moving slower than Signal through the swamp. But thoroughly enjoyed getting out and about

25-Jul-22
Found it couldn’t write on it as I forgot a pen and the pen provided didn’t work Sad

24-Jun-22
Nice one

30-Apr-22
Quick easy find. Love the cache container. TFTC

11-Mar-22
On a trip south from Tauranga. Been cycling around when we can. Love it down here. Camped up for the night nearby. Heading north again. Thanks for bringing me here.

I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Logged with permission. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

I am glad the cache is still here! TFTC!!

Haha second cache today with creepy crawlies. Very cool cache thank you!!! #4 for today I think..

03-Jan-22
I called by to pick this cache up today but when I opened it I thought it was still cute so decided it can wait a little longer even though its not singing as it used to.

13-Dec-21
A quick easy find, although the old gentleman is rather damp, and no longer seems to function as intended. TFTC

24-Oct-21
Full log to come

Awesome found with ease. Awesome find too. Found and rehidden on 13/10/2021

11-Oct-21
Fun idea but a little past it now plus the locals came and checked on us so they obviously didn't know about it. Thanks anyway.

11-Oct-21
A nice quick find thanks. Put in a piece of write in the ain paper as the log was a bit soggy.

Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. We of course had to get there first, and today we cruised around Blenheim and then off to catch the ferry tomorrow., The weather was fine and sunny, until we hit Picton, and now it is raining. We're still having a lovely time.

Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

03-Jul-21
Here for my Daughters swim competition so during her lunch break while she was chilling out, I was able to nip out and grab a few caches. A quick find and sign. Enjoyed the extra bonus. Thanks for the cache.

I'm a bit late for Christmas, but there you go... TFTC Smile

02-Jun-21
Fantastic!Very funny and cute.

17-Apr-21
I had already been out on the motorbike for a spot of caching earlier in the day after work, but when I got home nobody was there, so I thought I'd head out and see if I can increase my Science of Discovery points.
Wasn't sure what to expect here, but luckily I knew what the Yule reference was referring to.
I think the special action of this cache has run out of oomph sadly.

Very novel

06-Mar-21
We still had a bit of time up our sleeves before we needed to be in Picton for the ferry (and it turned out we had a lot more time than that as the ferry was 45 mins late leaving so had to wait in the car in the ferry holding area for aaages in the hot sun), so what else to d but find a few more caches in Blenheim.
There were a few unfound caches in this general area, so SWNZ navigated me here. He leapt out of the car to look for the cache, while I tried to find the cache on my GPSr. It turned out that my download was not only a few weeks old, but it was also centred on ChCh so only had caches as far north as Blenheim. Bugger. Good to get another seasonal cache, it's been awhile since the last one. Thanks Isis.

Wow, was that lucky or not! I have had this cache on the edge of my radar several times and really didn't expect it to be sitting here waiting for me to celebrate THIS season. We really loved the cache and had to spend a little time playing with it. Thanks heaps and all the best to you for a great Christmas and a wonderful 2021 Big Grin.

Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to visit!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*Another good cache located - now onto the next one!*

Last cache for the day, been dark for quite a while.

Nice to be away on another geocaching trip with tmann421, travelling to a few places in the upper South Island.

spacenarwhale and I were in town today and bought a secondhand couch (as you do). The previous owner offered to hire a trailer, load it up and follow us home to deliver it themselves. As kind and unexpected as this was, it put a real crimp in our caching plans. With there now being time for only one find, we decided to ride a wave of early Christmas excitement and collect this one.
Thank you for the hide; we loved it!

I was Geocaching with my Mum. It was a sunny windy day. I liked how this Geocache sang a Christmas song. By India

06-Sep-20
In Marlborough for the weekend finding a few caches. After finding a few caches up the Pukaka Track, I had time to wander around and find a few more before heading for home. 'Tis the season indeed. And what a strange season it has been. Another cool iteration of seasonal fun. Glad to have been able to collect both regions this year. TFTC, Biggles.

24-Jul-20
I was out of town for Christmas this summer, so it's nice to be able to celebrate a mid winter Christmas instead. TFTC

Celebrating Christmas in Winter is a pretty unique experience for us. Thanks Isis58!

Been in the South Island visiting the grown up kids who are on Uni holidays. Travelling home but mechanical problems means an extended stay in Blenheim. Well more time to cache. Collected this on our way back from Maori island. Gave us a chuckle to brighten up a cold mid winter day. Thanks

Merry Xmas. Very entertaining!!!!

Happy mid year Christmas santa

20-May-20
It's quite some time since we've been 'over the hill' but with enough new caches published since our last trip to make it worthwhile we set off for a day in the sun.
Crikey, this is surely approaching a record for a belated Merry Xmas but better late than never. I didn't realise just how long it was since we'd been this way but obviously at least 5 months which is likely to be a record for us too.
Thank you Isis58 for this cache, and by the way we got a lovely tune played for us.

20-May-20
There was a deluge of notifications over and above our to do list for when the lockdown downgraded to level 2. Today was forecast as a perfect day and it was. Blue skies, hardly a breeze and bright sunshine. So the thermos was filled, sammies made and away we went. We just snug under the radar here while offering our very belated best wishes to all geocachers known and unknown to us and the CO in particular. We signed while being serenaded by Santa who seemed to have gotten his voice back. A fav of course. Thank you Isis58

29-Feb-20
Awesome cache his battery was flat so he couldn't play me a tune a nice easy find Thanks Isis58

On the way back from grabbing a few caches up at the Wairau Bar - thought I'd grab this before it gets archived... Merry Xmas (Just a couple of months late LOL).

This cache came out when I was in Taranaki. I saw it cme out,but ther was nothing I could do about it s I promptly ignored it. And then, today I was logging caches found on the 28th December (yes, I am that far behind) and one accidentally went through with today's date. And I earned a souvenir! Ihad completely forgotten about the 02022020 palindrome day souvenir. Well, thanks for the reminder. I was planning to head out today anyway, to plant a new cache to keep the empty log book hunters happy and so had a hunt around the map for a cache to grab.
This one! The CO is about to break geocaching's rules here as she has done with all these Tis the Season caches, so I better get in before that happens. Nice easy find at GZ, like these containers Big Grin
Anyway, now a valid earn of the souvenir, and thatnks for the cache!

Came over the hill for anniversary weekend and thought I better get this cache before it gets archived. Submitted via Garmin Live Geocaching

19-Jan-20
Came over the hill with intention of catching up with a friend only to find she was in Wellington so walked the snout track in Picton, picked up a couple of geo tour caches before coming through to Blenheim for a couple more. Had to get the Wairau seasonal one. Thanks Isis58

Mrs Sobad and her sister were over the hill for lunch. Time for a bit of shopping and caching as well. This was found before lunch in the first spot checked.
Thanks.

The second of these nicely themed Christmas caches I found today. I certainly enjoyed the Full Experience. Cheers and TFTC

I didn't initially catch onto this cache until I read one of the logs and realised how it works. So, before the demise of the seasonal spirit I Geocycle-R'd out here in the haze to listen to the tunes. Very well done and easy to spot once near.

31-Dec-19
Hedged my bets here to make sure I would get the 2919 souvenir and this was my only close by available option. Thanks for your seasonal contribution to the game board that we all look forward to, maybe just this one this year as our Nelson visits diminish.

31-Dec-19
I have just returned from a great week in Chch where I got to catch up with family for a few days (before half them split to go to the Boxing Day test in Melbourne), continue to hang out with those still around, and eat maybe way too much food.
And, of course, throw in some caching as well.
So this morning I finished logging my finds and decided I had better head out for this one before it is archived.
A quick find at this familiar place, and once again it is a quality container.
Left nothing, took nothing, but thanks again for the cache and wishing you a happy and successful 2020.
And good luck with the Lunar Emergency series...
FP from me.

Oh it so is the Season, probably my favourite season of the year, I just love it when people are so nice to each other. I also love seeing the excitement of the little people who are hoping they might receive something special for Christmas.

We have never found a 'Tis the Season' cache in Blenheim before, but when I realised how close it is to where we often are in Blenheim I added this to our must find list.
We had been out in the Queen Charlotte Sound with muzza221 for a day of exploring, finding caches and some fishing. We dropped the boat at his house and after dinner we headed out to finish off the TMGT caches in Marlborough and to find this one. So it was getting pretty late by the time we were here, and the cache was found by shining the headlights in the direction. We of course had to pull the hat and had a smile as GK tried to stick him back into his container while he was still going. We signed the card and returned him as we had found him.
Then we went back to pick up the boat before heading for home. We got in after 1am at which stage GK had some fish to fillet, hence a later than normal start for us today.

Staying in Blenheim for Christmas. Couldn't resist doing this cache. Arrived at GZ wasn't long before we were signing the log.
Loved the cache.
Happy new year.
Thank you Isis58 for the cache and bringing me here

{FTF} with NZDi @ 10.05am. We were at home preparing Christmas treats for gifts and Christmas day when this was listed. It was a two person job, so there was no chance of racing out the door for a FTF chase, so I placed a watch on the cache and hoped it would be still unfound when we had finished. As soon as we had finished with the treats and cleaned up, I checked the cache again and discovered the FTF was still up for grabs so we raced out the door. This is the first FTF chase NZDi has accompanied me on since she injured her back at the end of June and although still not 100%, she is well on the road to recovery.

At GZ it was a QEF PnG and having found this themed cache for about four previous seasons, the contents came as no surpise. WE were wondering if there was going to be one of these caches this year as they (including the Nelson version) are normally listed well before now. In fact I was in Nelson last Friday and admit to taking a sneaky peak at the usual location for that one in the hope it may have been placed but not published. No luck there. I don't know whay I didn't do the same here.

Seeing there were TBs in the cache, I made sure I took the one I picked up in Christchurch when I was down there in October. I took two of the three TBs in the cache and dropped my one in so there is still a reward for the 2TFer.

With another FTF to go towards my P-GC badge upgrade and another find to go towards the 3, 2, 1, Go! souvenir a FP is warranted.

TFTC Isis58

Took two TBs, left one, added one. More later.
